We arrived really late on Friday night, as we had driven from West Wales and the traffic had been awful! When we arrived we found a lovely welcome basket of fruit, chocolate and biscuits for us and the dogs! There was also milk and butter in the fridge and a delicious loaf. The sofa were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we could need, including an Air Fryer that my husband is obsessed with at the moment :-D The beds were really comfy, with a lovely view over the back garden from two of them. There is log burner in the living room, which was very welcome on a couple of chilly nights.
The front and rear gardens are lovely, with 6ft fences at the rear, but lower ones at the front so if you have a dog that likes jumping a little care might be needed. Plenty of room for parking. It's just a short walk to Eccles beach, so quiet and our two greyhounds absolutely loved it. Smallsticks Cafe is also just a short walk away, and the food there is really good. This is a great area to stay with easy access to so many lovely places to visit.

Ok for dogs.

Superb location just a stroll from the beach! Beautiful and original accommodation (and exceptional welcome pack) A perfect holiday for our dogs and their humans! I was lucky enough to meet the lovely owners at the end of our stay and it’s clear that they really care about everyone enjoying Sandrift! Excited we have booked to come back in the summer!

I have just spent the most marvellous week at Sand Drift. So comfortable for the three of us and our two dogs. With the beach two minutes away.

In all my many years I have never had such hospitality from a holiday home. We’ll be back.

What a lovely place, tucked away on such a quiet estate with the sound of the sea ever present jut behind the dunes.
The cottage is well laid out to utilise the space well, loads of equipment in the kitchen and again a good use of available space.
My dogs loved it and had the weather been more suitable for sitting outside the swing seat on the porch would have been super for them to lounge while I had coffee.
ERC from first booking and ongoing care throughout the stay are first class and this is reflected in the care the cottage owners take in trying to make properties a place to relax with furry friends.
Hopefully we will be back in the future
Thank you

Great place to stay if you love the beach (we do !!!) as the back garden backs onto it and several access points very close to the cottage, including a couple without steps, helpful for elderly/ disabled dogs.
Sandrift is very cosy and comfortable, with very dog secure gardens. front and back, with lovely sun deck at the front, for a glass or two to watch the sunsets.

This is a lovely dog friendly cottage right near to a dog friendly beach and a small cafe only 10 mins walk away. There are safe peaceful gardens at the back for the more excitable/reactive dogs and a gorgeous lawned garden to the front with lovely seating where you can sit and enjoy the peace. There are goodies to hand for you and your dogs, it is truly a perfect holiday where you and your dogs can feel at home.

Amazing location for a doggy holiday with everything you need at hand. The secure gardens and clean comfortable cottage made this such a relaxing holiday, especially as one of our rescue dogs is reactive. I cannot speak highly enough about this little gem and have been recommending it to my dog owner friends since we came home. We will be repeat visitors no doubt.

When thinking of advertising dog friendly breaks it is not as simple as stating that dogs are permitted into the accommodation. It is vital that owners/agents fully understand the wants and needs of the disparate dog owning holidaymaker. We all own different breeds, sizes, temperaments with individual quirks and exercise needs. We are also looking for holiday not just for ourselves but for our dogs who may be eg Working, Assistance or Pets. This destination would suit all but the most determined, athletic escapee and their owner. The back garden was secure enough for my hypervigilant, territorial Malinois as well as stocked with all human comfort and included a very handy outside tap/area for washing off sandy toes/paws, shoes, toys etc. The front garden is, in my opinion, suitable only for smaller dogs or those which are not sight reactive or jumpers due to the lower height fencing, sometimes as low as 43". However this did not impact on our enjoyment. It was very useful that I could reverse park into the gravel area so that the dog could hop straight into the garden without the need for a lead. The interior was extremely well furnished and provided with throws for dogs which are sofa surfers! Bookshelves groaned under the weight of reading material and there were plenty of DVDs (mostly for children) as well as games, puzzles etc. The shower had quality pressure and I imagine that in the winter the electric towel rail would keep the room very cosy. Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms but that suited us fine as my dog curled up in her travelling fabric crate but two medium sized beds were in the living room. The goodies left for both human and canine were of top quality and a lovely surprise as was the "starter kit" for first day arrivals bread, butter etc. The only possible improvements would be non slip grips for the rugs and better bedside lamps. The garden shed had windbreaks, beach chairs, buckets and spades, as well as balls and throwers for our canine companions. I wanted a property on the beach and I got it, however be prepared for a steep climb/descent to it just 6 properties down, otherwise you will need to walk to Cart Gap to access from the flat. However I am 68 and managed it fine. Armed with the tide times helpfully supplied by ERC we had glorious walks along the vast, very quiet beaches as well as paddles/swims. If you want to stay somewhere quiet, peaceful, and right on the beach this is definitely IT!
