Wonderful view from The Lookout ! Clean, tidy and the standard of kitchen appliances was excellent. Overall great place to stay and highly recommended.
What a lovely property! As soon as you walked in you could appreciate the effort the owners have put in. The decor, clean and spacious and with everything we needed and more. A lovely generous welcome pack on arrival with treats included for our dogs along with bowls, towels and beds for them. Great location for walks and close to several different beaches. The dogs had use of courtyard and secure green which they made good use of whilst we relaxed in the hot tub! The owners are on site and were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would love to come back soon.
Eric was outstanding while on holiday, used in a different way to help our holiday end perfectly, with perfect help of George and her husband. Just to say Eric has hidden talents, thank you once again.
We all enjoyed our week in Oak Cottage, especially Monty, our golden retriever! Everything you could think of was there for him and the welcome pack for the humans was just as good. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and everything was top quality. Would love to return.
Peanut is a beautifully presented cottage which has everything you need, including a lovely welcome pack and a great hot tub and dog paddock for morning zoomies. Walks from the doorstep, including to local cafe and pub, are great for dogs and hoomans alike. Thoroughly recommended, as is ERC generally - this was our fourth stay and we will be back. We had a fabulous stay in Lighthouse Cottage, we had decided to go to all on one level because of 1 with knees shot, 1 bad hip and an arthritic dog. Lighthouse Cottage did not disappoint, we couldn't find anything wrong with it at all. Lauren and the team have obviously got the balance right, with all that is needed in a holiday let. We had an amazing 10 day stay at Manor Barn - we returned home very relaxed and rested, not just the humans but our doggy family. The barn was perfect for both dogs & humans. The quality of the Barn e.g. furniture, beds & bed linen, towels, toiletries, gigantic doggy throws for the sofas, kitchen & kitchen ware, secure gates & the most perfect dog friendly outside areas, etc etc was the very best we have ever experienced in over 30 years of staying in holiday cottages. This was our second stay at The Walnut and this time we came as a large family group, booking the new Peanut & Bumblebee cottages as well. Lovely, generous welcome pack on arrival with special touches for my niece's birthday which was much appreciated. The hot tub is amazing with wonderful views across the fields. We were lucky enough to see the owl, hares and deer. Well equipped kitchen and the whole cottage was very clean. Great location to visit all the nearby beaches and quiet walks from the door. The owners are on site and very friendly and helpful. Thank you for another lovely holiday.
we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dormy. Fabulous location so close to a pristine dog friendly beach that we had all to ourselves much of the time. The walk across the cliff path to Happisburgh was fabulous. Dormy was very well equipped, immaculate, warm and comfortable. The goodies in the welcome pack were high quality and delicious. The garden suited our dog Larry perfectly. The holiday was a value for money and thoroughly peaceful and relaxing break. I would highly recommend it to all dog lovers.
Swallowdale is in a lovely quiet location, was absolutely spotless warm welcoming. Lovely walks and fantastic beaches which our guys loved. Wonderfully modern and clean bungalow in a quiet residential cul-de-sac. Super touches like Sky TV in all rooms. Fantastic powerful showers. Main bedroom bed very comfy. Hot tub was a very welcome addition. And was maintained twice during our one week stay as standard - not because there was anything wrong. Side access to limit sand and mud coming into the house was very useful. Less than 10 mins walk to bakery, tea room, convenience store and beach. Handy location to explore other parts of the region.
We have just returned from yet another terrific holiday in Norfolk, booked through the wonderful East Ruston Cottages company, a multi-award winning, very dog friendly organisation. We took Lady Pauline’s son Fred, and his Boxer dog, Buddy, with us. He got on very well with our two dogs, Fifi and Woody. We walked on six beaches - Happisburgh, Cart Gap, Walcott, Bacton, Mundesley and Horsey. On Horsey beach there were over 100 seals. This was my second time staying at Ruby Gem and it is our favourite holiday home from home. It's in a perfect location for the beach and winterton amenities. In the house itself, I love the accommodations they make for dogs, including plenty of blankets to cover the furniture if your furry friend likes to sit with you. I also came away slightly heavier due to thee home made treats left for us. We will definitely be returning.
The Grove is tucked away down a designated "Quiet Lane" in sleepy East Norfolk. The bungalow itself was lovely and clean, comfortable, well appointed and had a gorgeous, fully enclosed back garden. The dogs were made just as welcome as the humans, which for us is most important. There were throws on the sofas, dog bowls, dog toys and even lovely hand made dog treats in the welcome pack. We had a short week away before Easter, and the Edelweiss was ideal for the two of us and our 3 dogs. The owners live in the attached property and were fantastic, friendly, chatty and I’m sure had there been any issues, they would have resolved them straight away. It’s a lovely location and probably be even better in the summer months. The welcome pack waiting for us was unexpected and such a great thing for them to do. What a fantastic place! Really set up for dog lovers and catering for all your needs. The location was brilliant too straight out the back door onto to dunes and beach. Shop on your doorstep as well as a great fish and chip shop and a lovely local pub that did good pub grub too and dog friendly We will be back!
Cosy, comfortable, clean cottage . Everything you needed thought of. Close to the beach . Made to feel very welcomed by the owners. My only slight negative is whilst you have allocated parking it can be a bit tricky to get in with a long car due to the narrow unmade road . But other than that perfect. Had a wonderful stay . The only reason I would not book again as I like to go different places every time I go away . But definitely recommended.
Five of us stayed for 3 nights with our 2 reactive dogs. The cottage was bright, very clean and welcoming. On arrival we had a generous hamper for us, with eggs, bread, cake and treats for the dogs too. The cottage is really well thought out, with night lights in all of the bedrooms, all items you might need in the kitchen and lots of things to use for the dogs - bowls, leads etc. The cottage is very quaint and is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Comfortable, well equipped cottage in a good location for some lovely beaches. The property is tastefully decorated and furnished. We found it very comfortable. The conservatory was a lovely place to have a cuppa and read when the weather didn't allow us to use the lovely court yard garden.
What a lovely property this is. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, until we left. Well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The welcome pack was very generous. And the dogs appreciated their treats too.
Wonderful warm welcome from owners and lovely goodies gratefully received. The Farmhouse is in a great location for walks from the doorstep and close to beaches. Great facilities for the doggies. We look forward to returning.
Lovely property - with a good layout, especially the eating area adjoining the kitchen. Stairs not too steep for dogs too. Warm, comfortable beds, hot water great, and shower excellent. Kitchen well stocked with ample room in fridge freezer. Great access to pub, shop and fish & chip shop. We also used the secure dog field a short drive away in the evening so Lola could get a run around after we arrived. Pretty good access to dunes. We had a great week at the Crib with our 3 hounds. The house was perfect for us and the dogs loved the extra comfy dog beds that were provided. The house was full of greyhound and lurcher paintings and ornaments so we really felt at home. Helen provided a very generous welcome pack and was on hand for any questions. We were the first people to stay after the new kitchen was fitted which has been done to a high standard and was very well equipped. Thanks for a lovely week away.
We have just come back from a stay at Bristow's Barn with our daughter, 3 grandchildren and 4 dogs. A beautifully restored barn with plenty of room for us all. Ideal location, very short walk to Weavers Way and short drive to Bacton Woods, Bacton beach and Cart Gap. Stephen very kindly let us check in early which was very helpful.
Our 2nd time using ERC we are hoping to make a 3rd.Whats not to love.Boundary Lodge has a fantastic secure big garden so we could relax knowing our little escape artists and super reactive spaniels were safe.We had a short 3 night stay wish it could have been longer.Very comfortable and clean property. Our stay at corner cottage was very relaxing. Everything we needed for us and the dogs was thought of and provided. The cottage was spotless and the garden was perfect for our dogs. We enjoyed many walks on the beaches at Sea Palling, Cart Gap and waxham up to Horsely to see the seals.
Our stay was amazing. Everything we needed was at the cottage, it was so easy to walk the dogs and shower them off after. The location is stunning the area is so dog friendly. I cannot fault the cottage or the holiday and I look forward to returning
Would only recommend chalet for couples as quite small. Kitchen very small and no washing machine but otherwise we'll equipped. No wifi. Chalet can smell a bit musty. Nicely maintained quiet park. Great for walking dogs straight from front door. Not so good for reactive dogs. No enclosed garden.
Three generations of us stayed in Thatch Cottage and it was just perfect for all of us and our two dogs. It is a beautiful, homely cottage fitted out with everything and more that you could possibly use. The lovely large secure garden is perfect for dogs and children to play in and old ones for relaxing in. Lots of lovely sandy beaches too, the nearest Cart Gap Beach was easily accessible one mile away down a lovely straight grassy track opposite the cottage to the sea which was just wonderful for the dogs daily walks. The friendliest cabin and more importantly fully enclosed garden for four dogs. Cosy -and relaxing- for humankind as well.
It's all about the dogs for us so we were thrilled to have everything we ended and more from the second we walked through the door at Farthing Cottage. The garden is fabulous for any dog - the closeboard fencing means there's nothing getting in or out which means a very relaxing experience for all of us! The facilities are great - the large washer and dryer is a huge bonus for cleaning up after lengthy beach walks!

Lovely quaint cottage with beautiful secure garden for our dog. Terri & Richard were very welcoming & friendly. The property had everything needed and the welcome food pack for hoomans & doggy treats was lovely. The area was very quiet but was further away from anything than expected for us, a good 30 minute walk to village & pub. Great for a very peaceful getaway
Had a lovely stay here at Red Roofs, 4 adults, 2 children, 1dog. Plenty of space and an awesome sized fully enclosed garden. Lovely large upstairs main bedroom and bathroom away from the main areas - so grandparents could escape to peace and quiet and an awesome view of Hickling Broad. The furnishings are old and sturdy and it was great knowing that the children could do no damage while running about. We really enjoyed our stay at Spinney Lodge. It is a warm cozy cottage in a beautiful setting. With a walk to the Broad one way and a nature reserve the other. The wood was a fabulous place to walk through or just sit and admire. We found the Kingsize bed a bit uncomfortable so slept in the twin which was lovely. We erected a bird feeder and this attracted numerous species. The house could do with a good spring clean and some of the furniture needs updating for this reason we thought it was a bit overpriced.
