Hadn’t holidayed with both of our GSD before but this was the perfect place to stay. Accomodation and ameneties were to such a high standard with everything you could possibly need. The addition of a secure field to use throughout the stay was so welcome and lovely walks direct from the door. Would love to stay again soon and would highly recommended, the owners were lovely and communicative before and during the stay when we reached out to them.
Stuart and Laura have been amazing hoists from moment booked to moment left. The ivy has everything you could possibly need. With a teen and a dog the property is ideal. Peaceful for reactive dogs. Games table and hot tub is great for teen. Down a very peaceful lane, the property is ideally located for as much or as little that you want to do. 2nd time booking with ERC will be booking again
The Lookout is a fabulous holiday home. Right on the coastal path and beach. It has everything you need especially if you like cooking. So many places to visit fairly close by. Woods, Felbrigg Hall and various cafes . would not hesitate in returning.
Our first holiday away with Digger. We didn’t know how he would cope but he settled right in and so did we. This is a beautiful place and so well thought through. Tiny details that made it a wonderful holiday. The cottage is comfortable and truly dog friendly. The welcome pack for us was amazing- such tasty treats and the dog basket was brilliant. Digger loved all the toys and the dog paddock. It was great that he was allowed on the sofa - one of his favourite places. Paul and Stella were great hosts and so helpful.
Immaculate barn conversion with super secure high walled garden. Perfect for dogs. Great walks/run straight from the door and a 2min drive to the historic Walcott church and fabulous Walcott Dog Field. Sunsets are spectacular from the comfort of your picnic chair on the front lawn - highly recommended - don’t forget to take a bottle of your favourite tipple for the ultimate sunset experience. Very caring hosts. Friendly, sociable and respectful. Some lovely touches added to make our 25th wedding anniversary feel very special. Our 3 week stay was really enjoyable, too short, and we wer...more
This cottage was home from home for myself and my 2 Bichon Frise dogs, I spent 2 weeks here and found it to be ideal. From the moment I first walked through the door I knew I had made the right choice. From the cleanliness, to the comfort, to the welcome hamper it was perfect. The owners Alex and Adrian looked after me exceptionally, I cannot thank them enough. As I have friends in the area, the location is spot on too, and I will definitely be staying here again.
Robert great host, clean well equipped accommodation everything you need was provided. Our dogs loved the beach walks .A lovely relaxing holiday.
The Peanut is a lovely quiet home from home for two plus pooches. Everything has been thought of to make your stay as comfortable as possible with quality facilities and fittings. Paul & Stella are so welcoming and are immediately on hand if needed. The Peanut is absolutely perfect for dogs with a lovely grassy secure paddock immediately adjacent. Lovely furnished secure patio and hot tub are just perfect if weather permits. It’s a great set up for groups of family or friends with three individual properties on site. Highly recommended for a quiet peaceful luxury dog friendly break
Jack’s Shack is in the perfect location in the beautiful village of Winterton. A short stroll out the back door, across the dunes, and you are at the beach. Metres and metres of luscious clean sand with barely another person to share it with. Dog friendly all year round with walks to Horsey Gap for seal watching in one direction and Hemsby for more traditional seaside pursuits in the other. If the beach gets dull (could that ever happen!) there is easy access to the Norfolk Coast path for the return journey. Winterton has a pub, a tea room, a fish and chip shop with the best ever fish and chip...more
We had a truly wonderful stay at Thatched Cottage. Our three little dachshunds absolutely loved the spacious garden, while we enjoyed the beautiful house and especially the relaxing hot tub. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we felt comfortable from the very first moment. We can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home and would happily return anytime.
We arrived to all the ingredients for a cream tea (and more!) and a huge bowl of water for Molly and a bag of treats. Throws ready for the sofas and a cupboard of dog towels. We had a mixed week of weather, cold enough for big coat and ending the week with shorts, the barn kept us warm and cool. Thank you so much, see you soon.
Oak Cottage is a delightful property set in a small complex with everything you need for a fantastic Norfolk holiday. Spotless luxury in well designed accommodation, all thought out with our doggy friends in mind. They even have their own beautifully prepared and safe exercise field. Each cottage has personal access to a grass area for late night wees, great if your dog is a little elderly. Near to wonderful beaches, and two miles from a lovely little town for supermarket top ups, petrol, great fish and chips, and even an electric charging port right outside the cottage. Lauren and her f...more
We really enjoyed our stay at The Salty Sea Dog, very dog friendly but did not have any smell which can happen sometimes. Clean bathrooms and kitchen. Billy (the dog) loved the basket of toys and being allowed on the bed and sofa with us. Great welcome basket and a thoughtful birthday gift. Fabulous location and being able to walk to the beach for the fabulous sunsets and sunrises. Next time I am not sure if we will leave for days out!! Happy to sit on the deck all day long.
This was the first holiday with our dog, (15 months old) and we loved The Walnut as soon as we stepped inside the door. It was so welcoming with everything provided and to such a high standard. Our dog gave it a full examination by exploring every room, and when she curled up and settled on the mat in the living room we knew it was the right place to be. The Walnut has been beyond our expectations; one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in and over the years we have stayed in quite a few. From the hamper full of delicious goodies tailored to our dietary needs, and the well equippe...more
This was our second stay here, and it did not disappoint! The cottage was spotlessly clean, superb welcome pack, and as before, exceedingly dog friendly. The facilities ate all you could possibly wish for, and I couldn't recommend it highly enough
Our 2nd stay at Dormy, and yet again it was absolutely perfect. The property was exceptionally clean and well equipped. The secure front and rear gardens were great, although we mainly used the front garden as we didn’t want to disturb the bunnies in the back. The 2 minute walk to the beach is just perfect and we enjoyed walks along the coast path when the tide was in at Cart Gap, along to Happisburgh where the beach is accessible any time. We appeeciated the welcome hamper and the dogs were grateful for their treats. We hope to come again next year!
Everything was perfect. There was everything we needed. Very clean and welcoming. Such a lovely feel to the place. A lovely sweet treat on arrival. Excellent communication with Leonie. Would definitely recommend.
A fantastic location if you want a straightforward walk to the beach. Pleasant garden to sit in and listen to the birdsong. Clean and comfortable throughout. Our second visit here.
We wanted a relaxing break with our three dogs and Ruby Gem exceeded our needs. We are regular Norfolk visitors and although we could have done lots of sightseeing (to other beaches etc etc) we just wanted to stay put this time. Winterton-on-Sea and Ruby Gem made this so easy. Everything we needed was provided for us at the cottage so no need to dash out for essentials on arrival. Fantastic welcome pack. Cottage is beautiful, cosy but with plenty of room for our dogs (and us) to get comfy. Garden has good height fences and hedging. Side gate was a bit lower but our jumper stayed safe. Winterto...more
This excellent, light and spacious barn is well set up for both humans and dogs. There is plenty of space for dog beds and crates are provided by the barn owner. Outside there is a secure grassed area outside the living room which has space for dogs to run around. There is also a good sized paved area outside the kitchen. The bedrooms are comfortable and the shower powerful. There are good walks from the door with easy access to the Weaver's Way and to many footpaths. Stalham, with its amenities, is within walking distance down the Weaver's Way so there's no need to get the car out every...more
Superb cottage close to beach, shop, pub and chippy. Only downside was bathroom downstairs. Nice welcome pack
Such a beautiful property in an excellent location. Everything you need for a great holiday. Peaceful but with quick access to beaches and nearby towns. There is so much to do and visit that we were spoilt for choice!
This was our second visit to Bristow, we loved it the first time and didn't disappoint coming back this year. The house is warm and comfortable, its layout is perfect for my family and for the dogs. Gardens to side and rear very secure and being able to park by the back gate makes it easy to put dogs straight into the garden and shower them before they come in the house. Location to beach, Weavers Way and then town of Stalham perfect. OK, internet could be better if that is crucial to you but its adequate. Would we return for a third visit, hell yes! It feels like coming ho...more
The cottage was wonderful with everything a labrador (and human) holiday maker could desire. They really do think of everything that a dog may desire and that together with a nearby friendly beach meant that my canine companion and his little friend were in heaven (as were both dog mummies), Would definitely recommend it to everytbody who loves dogs and stress free holidays
The Croft is a lovely bungalow that is exceptionally well equipped and has one of the best dog friendly gardens we have had at a holiday cottage. Our three dogs absolutely loved it here. The only reason we gave it a four instead of a five for a couple of things was because the bedroom storage was a bit limited for three adults. Especially as the weather was a bit wet and we needed lots of changes of clothes. But otherwise it was super and we will definitely try and come back.
It's hard to sum things up in a short piece of writing. The best place for dogs we have EVER stayed in. We felt so relaxed. So much to do you don't even need to leave the house. The welcome pack was supreme and Tim and Tricia gave us a lovely tour on arrival. It's in a lovely setting where you feel you are far away from noise, nice and secluded yet only about 10 minutes from a lovely town. Couldn't fault it
Lovely weeks break! Beautiful property and so comfortable! Home from home with frightful and very helpful owners!
A lovely spacious cottage a short drive to Cart Gap beach and a short walk to a dog friendly pub. It had most of what we needed but I would've loved a pouffe to rest my feet on when on the sofa- my feet were too far off the ground to be comfortable. Plenty of parking and plenty of hot water from the shower. Lovely welcome basket of goodies for us and our mutt. He approved of the raised feeder and water dish.
Lovely little place, short walk from the beach. Very generous welcome gifts for humans and dogs, beds were comfy, kitchen had everything you would need. Dogs loved having two enclosed gardens to play and lay in, nice size drive so vehicles weren’t on the road. Loved our stay here and will definitely be booking again.
Beautiful cottage in a perfect location. Our first stay at Winterton and it certainly won't be the last. Beachcomber was perfect in every way, spotlessly clean and everything (and more) that we could need. We will definitely be back.
Seaview Cottage is everything you need it to be just a short stroll to the superb beach - short walks in either direction to pubs in Happusburgh and Mundesley - what more could you want? I know, a freshly baked cheesecake ! Well it comes with one of those too
Rooster Barn is well furnished with a large enclosed garden, great for letting your dog run around in complete safety. We would recommend it if you want to explore the area. It has two bedrooms, one up a Paddle staircase which isn't suitable for dogs, or people with restricted movement, to get up and both toilets are on the ground floor. Great fish & chips at The Village Chippy (Mundesley) well worth the 10min drive. Overall, a very nice place to stay.
Brig Cottage was clean and very well equipped for us, the wide sandy beach was a short walk away. The dogs enjoyed being on the sand. The only downside for us was that we were not told the attached cottage was being gutted and renovated so we had tue noise of drills and hammering which set our nervous dog off. Others may not have this problem. Overall a good break away in great cottage.
Lovely little bungalow on the edge of the village, very well equipped and convenient for the local beaches. A good base from which to visit the countryside .
Boundary lodge was beautiful - we could have moved in permanently. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed with a good welcome pack. The garden was lovely for the dogs . The only downside was the weather with thunderstorms virtually every day and having an extremely noise sensitive Kelpie meant the only time he wasn't terrified was when we took him out in the van. Luckily I had booked Markham Paws dog field in advance and the rain eased just enough so we could take them out every day for a run. We treated ourselves a couple of times going to lunch at Ingham Swan - a wee bit pric...more
This was the most amazing, relaxing place to stay. Very impressed with all the little details making it a home from home experience. So well set up for dogs, I was blown away! They really have thought of everything. The welcome pack for humans and dogs was stunning. Everything you could want in there. Close to lovely long walks and beaches. Local pubs lovely and dog friendly. You couldn't want for a nicer experience
A wonderful place to go to for a peaceful holiday,a realy well thought out chalet, and plenty ofdog bowls, great walks and close to Winterton village, also a realy nice dog friendly cafe,we will be going back there again, its our go to place, from now on,happy days.
A lovely home in a great location! It was perfect for our dogs who enjoyed the large back garden and local beaches. We had everything we needed at the house and would recommend Thatched Cottage.
Lovely peaceful property with an amazing bed that accommodated us and our 3 digs. Wonderful hamper on arrival full of goodies. We all had a wonderful time.
Really enjoyed our week at this beautifully renovated cottage. Walking the dogs by the marina was a treat for them and us. Local beaches in easy reach by car and many were almost empty and dog friendly. A perfect location for a week away in early autumn
Brilliant place to stay we had the best breakaway & Kerry & Kevin are the perfect hosts 5* . Nothing too much trouble and although they live onsite they never intruded on our stay. It was an amazing place exactly what we needed to de-stess and just chill. Beautiful views across the countryside . Brilliant walks , although very much in the countryside , tesco’s and shops less than 10 mins away . Our little dog loved the fully enclosed garden and there was everything we needed in the cottage . We can’t wait to return . Thank you both for making our stay so perfect xx
We really enjoyed our stay at Vineyard Cottage. Its comfortable and the dogs really enjoyed the garden. Fantastic location with easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. Lots of lovely beach walks followed by coffee and breakfast stops. A lovely property to relax in the evenings with lovely walks from the door. We loved seeing the deer and hares everyday. Bit disappointed that the tv wasn't working properly so the England match could not be viewed, hopefully this is fixed for future guests. Hope to come back sometime
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet stay this is the place for you. The entire site , 2 cottages, 2 static caravans and various pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes is one of the most clean, well kept sites I have ever visited .Dogs were well catered for in all properties and there is even a secure fenced field for their use too. Situated on a working farm ( minimal noise) with an easy 10 /15 min walk across the field and dunes to the beautiful quiet Waxham beach where you will find seals relaxing on the sands. Plenty of dog walks in the area and other lovely places to visit. Have s...more
A very dog friendly holiday home. However, there was, nowhere to hang coats, no drawers in bedrooms. No clothes airer. No non slip shower mat. We asked the owner if we could park our cars away from the trees as our cars were covered in pigeon poop. We were given a less than satisfactory answer to park further away from the caravan.
The cottage was generally comfortable and well equipped. The hot tub was excellent and spotlessly clean. There was a nice welcome basket although the addition of a pint of milk would have made it perfect! Considering how dog friendly the property is there was no sign of dogs having been there in terms of dog hair etc which I know is no mean feat. However there was quite a lot of dust around the place which was a shame as it didn’t feel as clean because of this and some of the cupboards and equipment could have benefited from a wipe out/clean. In terms of location there are some nice walks b...more
We ( John, Kim and dogs Rocket and Bobby ) enjoyed a fabulous week at Sunny Cottage. The cottage is perfectly located in the village that itself has the essential amenities - a shop and a pub. The enclosed garden was a real bonus for the dogs and the property itself was clean and comfortable and included thoughtful little touches for the dogs.
We have been before and love it. Totally secure garden for the dogs. It’s clean and comfortable and a nice quiet short walk to the beach where the seals were hanging out. Only reason for 4 * was no towels and no response on that. Would recommend.
Apart from the fantastic location a major reason for choosing Red Roofs was the large enclosed garden which was ideal for our lovely dog. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We visited nearby nature reserve and all the adjacent beaches. All in all an ideal holiday.
We went for a week’s holiday and our first priority was finding somewhere truly dog‑friendly — suitable for reactive dogs, with a secure garden. We were thrilled to find that this property ticked every box. Of course, the holiday is for the humans too, and the house didn’t disappoint. It was comfortable, clean, and had a well‑stocked kitchen with all the usual pans, utensils and bits you actually need. Even though we had rain most days, the nearby beaches were superb, and the garden at Fenside was a pleasure to wander around. It made the whole stay feel peaceful and relaxing.
