We had a 3 night weekend stay at Ruthie. There ended up being just the two of us so I had the lovely big bed all to myself which is super comfy, and my teenage son had the mezzanine to himself. The stairs are a bit precarious on the way down but no mishaps had. Its just a lovely cosy place to stay - and we of course had the hot tub which was wonderful too. There was a small issue with the toilet which was sorted very quickly. I loved having the convenience of the shower and the small kitchen so we could prepare the basics, although we didn't come with any intention of cooking. The weather w...more
Lovely place for a holiday break away. The yurts are very comfortable and in a very nice setting. The tennis court and games room are a very nice bonus too. Would recommend this place.
We stayed at The Garlic Farms over Easter 2025 as a group of 9 ages ranging from 4-64 and 2 dogs. We all had an absolutely amazing time. Little Mersley Farmhouse was beautiful inside and out and the perfect choice! And the extended grounds with park/games room/football pitch gave us lots of evening fun when we returned from our days out. This is all round the best accommodation and location for a family break and Melanie and team couldn’t have been more helpful! We are already booked to come back in October to try out the Yurts as a smaller family and are hoping to book for the whole family ...more
This is my 2nd time visiting the garlic farm yurts. They are amazing, they have everything you need and the communal area has alot to offer with a BBQ and pizza oven. So much space for activities. We had a few faults, shower was blocked but was fixed within 20 mins. The only negative was that the dome wet room was broken, could open to release any steam, and with 5 ladies sharing on a hot weekend it could have done with some air circulation. I would love to visit again and again!
Garlic Farm has a central location which makes it handy for getting out and about which is especially handy if it’s your first time on IoW. Accomm - farmhouse cottage was as described. A little larger inside than expected, clean and tidy. Just a word of warning for anyone staying in this accomm, it is an annex to a larger unit of accommodation. This means that you can hear your neighbours above the lounge space (and from the bedroom too if they’re heavy footed!).
The perfect place to chill out and relax, but within easy reach of the beauty the Isle of Wight has to offer. We were so impressed with the level of comfort, and the care and attention taken to provide a pleasurable stay, from the wild flowers picked for our enjoyment on the kitchen table to the little gifts of garlic delights left for us to try. So quiet and peaceful, we didn’t want to leave, and I was lucky enough to see 2 red squirrels as well. Perfectly placed to explore the coast, the downs and the visitor attractions, we were never far from anywhere. The Garlic shop was full of treasure ...more
Absolutely fantastic. Such a lovely, tasty, cozy place to stay! We loved the Mill Cottage, spacious, clean and comfy.
Communication was fantastic. We were especially grateful for the discounted ferry booking and the last-minute re-booking when our return ferry was delayed. Paddock Cottage is perfect for a couple: small and cosy with a super-comfortable bed and everything needed for cooking simple meals. Little private garden is great for breakfast. The cottage also surprisingly quiet, given that it's so close to the restaurant (which we love), shop (where we were inspired to start our Christmas shopping in August!) and café. Being able to park right outside the front door is brilliant and we enjoyed the ...more
Came back for a second time and wasn’t disappointed. Great location for exploring the island. Yurt was perfect for the family we had great fun doing some experiences on the garlic farm and making the most of the other facilities such as tennis and the games room. Staff very friendly and attentive especially when we ran out of the gas - was all fixed in 30minutes. Food was lovely, boys loved the evening the magician came! We were sad to come home.
We had a lovely stay at Kiln Cottage with our dog. It was very peaceful and comfortable. Whilst we were there we had lunch at the onsite restaurant which was really lovely. The only thing we would say was the kitchen could be better equipped with a couple more non stick cooking pans / mixing bowls. Also, we mainly used the shower downstairs as the baths were not very practical. Other than that, it was very comfortable.
Our recent week at 'The Milking Parlour' on The Garlic Farm was simply fantastic, exceeding all our expectations. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and delightful. The booking process itself was incredibly efficient and straightforward, making the initial arrangements stress-free. The pre-booking communication was equally impressive, keeping us well-informed and excited for our trip. A special mention must go to the discount offer on Ferry prices, which was well worth taking and added significant value to our journey. 'The Milking Parlour' cottage is nothing short of beautifu...more
Our stay in Barn Cottage at The Garlic Farm was the best holiday I have had since having kids, 6 years ago. Stunning location, friendly staff, safe environment for children, delicious food at the restaurant and to top it off a tennis court! 10/10.
