We got married at Blair Castle on 22nd December 2023. We had a large bridal party staying on the estate and this suited us perfectly. Everyone was so happy with the accommodation, which was absolutely perfect. Thanks again to Karen and the staff for all their help!
Our 1st visit to the cabins, but hopefully not our last. Larch far exceeded our expections, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the cabin and surroundings. It was wonderful to be near the bustle of Dunkeld with it's lovely independent shops and good restaurants, but also away from it all in the woodland overlooking Cally Loch afterwards. Thank you to the team behind the scenes making it such a special place to stay.
My partner and I, and our two dogs, spent an amazing week in this lovely cosy cottage. Every comfort was provided, and after gorgeous long walks up in the hills we knew we would come back to a place where we could warm up in front of the fire or in the hot bath. Highly recommend this amazing cottage for its stunning views, incredible walks, fully equipped interior and friendly assistance nearby. Close to so many sights and places to visit.
I LOVED Blairinraish West. It is a tastefully and thoughtfully decorated 18th century cottage high up in Tulliemet. The finishes and fittings are all very high quality. The bed was most comfortable and the bathroom very large, with a wonderful bathtub to soak in. The kitchen was well equipped and with the great view it was where I spent alot of time. Wonderful stay in Hazel - beautifully designed, great interior design, perfect position for Aran Bakery, Craft Diner burgers, pizza in the garden at the Tayside, produce market at Guardswell Farm, walks to Pine Cone Point. Loved it. We’ll be back. Just wish we could cook some local produce on an outdoor fire…
Staying at Lapwing was a dream. The room itself was clean and orderly, and while cozy, it was the perfect size for our stay and had everything we needed. We woke up to a pheasant standing outside, birds chirping, and beautiful green rolling hills. Check in and check out was super easy—clear email instructions that were simple to follow. No wifi, but who needs it when you’re in such a lovely location?
We're a large group of friends who meet up each Easter in Scotland to enjoy the mountains and other outdoor activities. This year we chose Forest Lodge as one of two properties on the Atholl Estate. The Lodge is very comfortable, well appointed, warm and cosy. The main living rooms and kitchen are all well equipped and we'd like to thank Lee for providing extra crockery etc. which allowed our complete group to eat together in the evenings. Our stay at Marble Lodge was an unforgettable time in a place surrounded by natural power and beauty.
Only real criticism was the hot/cold mixer taps which I considered as very dangerous. If running hot and cold mix, and cold was turned off, the hot alone was scalding hot, could easily give a nasty scald if not careful. Hot by itself was needlessly too hot. Apart from that we had a very relaxing and satisfying family holiday. Facilities provided in each house (including the cottage) were first class. Thank you. John Mitchell
We stayed at curlew for my partners birthday which is also New Year’s Eve. The host contacted us whilst we were en route to let us know she had been in to turn the accommodation around to allow us to check in 2 hours early and to put the heating and the lights on due to heavy snow. The accommodating was spotless with everything you would need for a few days stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and have already recommended to friends and family.
Old Blair Lodge was perfect to accommodate the family who had travelled for the wedding at Blair Castle. We were able to have family dinners and entertain many friends in the dinning room. The groom, best man and groomsmen all dressed and walked down to the castle as did the rest of the family. It was a wonderful venue and being able to stay so close in such a superb setting made this a special very memorable occasion. Thank you Old Blair.
We traveled from the United States and spent two nights here as a family of 3. It was absolutely perfect! Close enough to town to walk, and right on trails we could explore. Only wish we had more time and would love to go back! Definitely a highlight of our holiday.
Myself and my family, 2 kids and Dog included, came up for a week from the midlands in England. On arrival at the lovely cottage we were excited for our week. Unfortunately it became quickly apparent that the outside space around the cottage wasn't fit for use by both children and dogs. Broken glass everywhere and discarded building materials rendered it useless. My daughter cut her hand on day one. Had we known when booking that this outside space wasn't finished, a mud bath and filled with discarded building items etc, we wouldn't have booked and although we have been given a slight reductio...more
The cabins are beautifully designed and well equipped, both for practicality and comfort. This would be enough for a five star review alone but with the location, these cabins are exceptional. Peace and tranquility, with walks from the door, yet only a 20 minute stroll to the bakery in the morning! Cannot wait to return
Our second stay and we had a lovely relaxing time. Leisurely breakfasts around that big table in a cosy warm space. The kitchen is so well equipped with good quality crockery etc. There are plenty areas in the house if someone wanted to curl up with the paper by one of the log burners. Great walks right from the door and beautiful countryside. We had a private chef come cook for us on one of the evenings, a great treat and highly recommended.
