I had booked this cottage as a surprise for my husband's 40th birthday. This is our 4th stay in Brixham but our 1st in Fisherman's Wharf and I cannot praise the owners and the cottage enough. After booking my husband's main birthday surprise for the Isle of Man TT in June, I wanted to surprise him with another weekend away around on his actual birthday with his parents and our 10 year old son. My husband was over the moon. The house is extremely comfortable, well equipped and a joy to stay in. We visited pubs, restaurants, Berry Head (including the Guardhouse Cafe) & of course the madness...more
It is not enough to say that this cottage is magical. Every window shows beautiful sea views on the bay. The cottage is very cosy, warm and clean. It is just few steps from the bay center and still quiet and private. I definitely recomend it and I would like to visit the cottage again.
Kings Quay Apartment 2 was exactly as it says on the website! Tastefully finished, comfy, warm and spotlessly clean plus unlimited hot water. Everything we needed was there. The view from all the windows over the harbour was spectacular. The agents and owner were really kind and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful week - we'll be back!
Very happy stay. Ideal location, but no good for very old or infirm due to the steps. Fantastic views.
The location of the property was perfect for visiting Brixham, straight out of the door and you have the harbour on one side and the town on the other, and the views from the living room window are second to none. A nice touch was having fresh bread, milk and etc. waiting for you, so whatever time of day you arrive the essential's are there.
We were looking for a short break not too far from home in Somerset and realised that neither of us had ever been to Brixham despite having lived in the West Country all our lives- we are both in our fifties! Having found Brixham Holidays on the internet we were impressed with their website and decided to give them a try. We booked by phone and the lady we spoke to was lovely and helpful. The information supplied before our trip told us all we needed to know. On arrival the cottage was immaculate and very well refurbished to a high standard. There was tea, milk, sugar and biscuits awaiting us ...more
We enjoyed a really quiet week in November in this great location overlooking the marina. The short walk to the town was very convenient with plenty of eating places and coffee shops. The apartment was comfortable and warm and always plenty to look at outside from the comfort of the dining table, and we enjoyed the pleasant coastal path to the south of Brixham
Day and night the view is amazing. The apartment is very light, clean and warm with good quality furnishings and kitchen equipment. The beds are comfortable with nice fresh bedding. It was great having 2 bathrooms both with good shower pressure. I’m in my 60s and although the steps up to Seascape are steep, the exercise did me good! Parking in the road directly above is tight and unloading was a bit difficult. The harbour space provided is quite narrow and between metal posts. If you have a large car it could be tricky for some. All in all, Seascape is a great apartment with fantastic views,...more
HAD A GREAT TIME, LOVELY FLAT - LOCATION - TOWN, IT HAD EVERYTHING ONE COULD WANT, WAS TASTEFULLY FURNISHED WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF PICTURES ETC. WE WILL STAY AGAIN FOR SURE :)
When we booked a week in Brixham we never anticipated the weather would be snow, gale force winds and -4 degrees (-10 with the wind chill factor) ! Thank goodness Bayview Apartment is warm and cosy with good views of the harbour and Torbay. The apartment is of an excellent standard, well equipped, modern and extremely comfortable, ideally placed for local shops, restaurants etc. We hope to return again when the weather is a bit warmer!
We booked Prospero's Rest for three nights to celebrate our daughters 40th birthday. We were all extremely pleased with everything it had to offer. The cottage was very welcoming with all the facilities you would need for your stay. It was very tastefully decorated with lovely little lights, pictures and bits and pieces to make you feel at home. The cleanliness was noticeable throughout and the beds were made with lovely crisp, white bedding. Every room has uninterrupted views of the sea, harbour, boats and coastline, absolutely magic. We were all fighting to sit in the lovely window ...more
We’ve had an excellent weeks stay in this lovely second floor apartment overlooking Brixham harbour. This is an ideal location for walking the coast path and exploring the area by foot and for longer walks there is a good bus network for getting back.
.Lovely accommodation, ideal location ,a bit noisy at times from the fish quay but spent many a time watching the trawlers being unloaded, so many fih
Lovely apartment with fantastic views of Brixham harbour, although the stairs at the rear of the property where you enter would be a problem for anyone who doesn't like stairs. Nice large shower cubicle, plenty of space in the bedrooms.
Had a lovely stay the accomodation was thoughtfully and tastefully laid out and clean and tidy, loved watching the action in the harbour and the seals which we managed to see several times each day. Everyone was very friendly in all the local shops and restaurants which we ate in every night. Would recommend to others but it is quite a trek up the steps (93) but that is expected to have the wonderful panoramic view of the harbour.
For us staying at Midships is like home from home so much so that we have booked to go back for the fourth time in September. The flat is very comfortable with great views of the harbour and in close proximity of the town. Quality furnishings and a well maintained flat.
A perfect winter break. Our daughter loved being able to walk to the small beach so easily and we saw dolphins on the walk into Brixham. The flat had everything we needed and was clean, warm and comfortable.
The apartment was ready on time and spotless upon arrival. Beautiful view down to the Brixham harbour. In the kitchen, there was a very nice bottle of red wine and also fresh milk and some cookies. The bedrooms and linen, as well as bathrooms, were clean and fresh, with almost new The fully fitted kitchen appliances (Neff) are all almost brand new and of very good quality. The reserved parking at the nearby (300m walk) Quayside hotel secure parking lot was absolutely essential for Brixham, which can be crowded in the summer months. There is a fair amount of road traffic on Kings Rod past...more
Another happy stay in this favoured apartment, all you could wish for, and relaxation a given superb
The apartment was in a fabulous location, with outstanding views. We were there during the worst weather - snow and storm and the apartment was lovely, warm and cozy. The apartment had everything you may need, very well equipped kitchen ( much better than normally in places like that). I would say that what needs improving is customer service. It snowed when we were there. I called the office and said we were leaving next day and there was lots of snow in front of the gate to the Estate with apartments. I said there is no way we will be able to get out and go home next morning. The gentl...more
Great location, lovely views, good base for walkers. Our second visit to this location though different property, will definitely return.
What a lovely cottage . The views were breathtaking. You have see views for every front window. Kitchen well stock. Great wood burner. Very comfortable and clean. Brixham is a very pretty town . Will be back Paul and sue from Essex
This was our 2nd stay at Sea Nook and hopefully it won't be our last! We love the cottage and Brixham. The accomodation is spacious, comfortable and has everthing you need. The harbour side parking space is invaluable. We have recommended Sea Nook to our friends.
The flat is in an excellent position with superb views of the outer harbour, marina and across to Paignton and Torquay. The cleanliness of the flat was not great, we had to defrost the freezer and remove old food left by previous guests to get our stuff in. The flat is nice and comfy and the heating is very good. If you have a lot of luggage/ shopping etc. or have mobility issues it may not be the flat for you as there are three flights of stairs to navigate.
Fantastic apartment in a beautiful location would recommend it without hesitation could not fault our week we stayed there
Excellent views over the harbour and out to sea. Comfortable beds and sofas. Well equipped kitchen. Two minor issues ( bin collection and blocked drain) which were soon sorted out by carrie at bixham holiday homes. Excellent customer service.
How to chill out in one easy lesson " just book Sundeck ! The whole vibe of the place is just so chillin" We and are good friends decided we would like a long weekend away to just take easy and de stress " and really this was Is Ideal ! The location ,the layout and the town lends itself to do just that ' Suffice to say it wont be the last visit for us ! BR Dave ' Julie,Helen and John
Ideal small property for a short break. All mod cons. Stunning views from the huge glass doors and windows.
A comfortable house in a perfect position with stunning views of the Marina and the Bay. It caters well for large families or groups as all bedrooms are en-suite, and although shower rooms are a little tight in a couple of the rooms, they were perfectly adequate. Whilst small, the kitchen was well equipped and it was great having a separate breakfast room big enough to take all our meals in away from the Living/Dining rooms at the front of the house.
Spacious kitchen and lounge area, both well equipped. Bedrooms small but beds comfortable. Shower good with plenty of hot water. Parking space very near to apartment but not good if cars are parked either side and you need to get out as there is no room. to turn. In darkness it is not easy to reverse down the roadway . It would have been helpful to have been given the code to the gate so that we could enter the complex on arrival. In the absence of this we had to wait until someone was driving out and then ask them fir the code so we could get in
