Sandy Bottom is a lovely old cottage with an amazing view of the harbour from the panoramic lounge window. It's easy to while away the hours just watching the boats coming and going. It is very well equipped, a real home from home. Also it is well placed for access to Brixham town centre and all the shops and restaurants. The parking bay on the harbour just 5 minutes walk from the cottage was a real bonus. We would definitely stay here again.
Our Christmas holiday in the Captains Cottage was perfect. The house is idyllic and full of wow moments, it was exquisitely decorated for Christmas, a lovely surprise. Thank you for all the thought and care you have taken in sharing your home , everything was deeply appreciated.
This was our third stay at Sail House since it was first open for renting back in July 2011. We do feel very much at home in this cottage as it has been renovated to a very high standard. The other added benefits are the short walk into town and the views of the harbour. We have further bookings in 2022.
We enjoyed a lovely family stay in Kings Quay Apartments 2 over Christmas. Such a fabulous location on the harbour with everything you need on your doorstep. Wonderful views from all rooms but that top window is just brilliant for watching the world go by! The apartment was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a bonus to have a fully decorated Christmas tree and other festive decorations! Thank you for a wonderful stay - it was worth rebooking after our Christmas here got cancelled last year.
We visit Brixham every year and have stayed in various properties but Fishermans Wharf is the best yet! Wonderful accomadation and location. The added bonus of a garage was really helpful Matthew, the owner, made sure we had everything we needed, even going so far as to check the dimensions of the garage before we arrived.
Flat was very clean, airy and light. Beds very comfortable and well presented. Bathroom excellent. Kitchen well stocked with utensils and crockery and appliances. Lounge area very comfortable, tv buttons have a world of their own. Dining area excellent. Car parking a massive plus in Brixham. Our fourth stay in Brixham and our best for accommodation.
Excellent location stunning views over the harbour, beautifully furnished with washing machine and dishwasher a bonus.spotlessly clean
What an amazing property. We have just returned from a wonderful stay and we cannot recommend this place more highly. Can't fault anything about it. Spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need. One of the best properties we have every stayed in and the view is the best we have ever had in the UK. Only negative is it is not ideal for those with mobility issues as it is on a hill and many steps to get to it, but for everyone else it really is perfect. We will return.
We were made to feel very welcome and were very happy with the high standard of the premises and and of all the amenities. The location is excellent for the town and the views are amazing of the bay, with a beautiful beach just below. We could not fault it, and would stay again as it was an absolute pleasure.
We stayed here with our 2 children (3yo and 5mo) and had a really great time. The living area was a bit small for us as there wasn't much floor space for our children to play. We also struggled to fit the travel cot into the main bedroom but made it work and all slept well. My toddler found the single bed really comfy (we took our own bed guard) so it would be perfect for one or two older children. The sofas weren't very comfortable which was a shame as we spent the evenings watching TV once our kids were in bed. However, that wouldn't be an issue if you are staying out longer. The kitche...more
The apartment was welcoming and cosy ! Despite the heating not working...it wasn't needed even in the middle of January! but within hours we had the plumber on site, 3 portable heaters, had been offered another apartment at no extra cost, and our extra night booked at last minute, refunded! The customer service was above and beyond!... Everything was spotless, very homely , perfect spot with a view inland, across the beautiful busy harbour and Marina. Everything you would need for a comfortable stay was provided ! We will be bringing family back to stay with us next time!...
Lovely week at Toms nest fantastic views very clean & comfortable everything you need . The little extra touches made such a difference bottle of wine, milk ,tea bags ,coffee & cleaning stuff. Very friendly hosts only issue was it needed a foot rest to put your feet up after a long days walking whilst sharing one sofa.
stayed here again ,great location for exploring.free parking for two cars included if you wish to share house.great kitchen well equipped.
17 moorings reach is a fabulous property in the heart of Brixham. A literal stones throw from the water you can sit all day (and night) and watch the boats as the go about their business, whilst soaking up the sea air and spectacular seascape. The property is clean, comfortable and well equipped and the bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a welcome surprise. As you leave you can turn right towards Berry hill or left into town, both are super close. Of course the main benefit is Brixham itself, incredible seafood, rich history and plenty to do. We recommend Shaols, breakwater cafe, the guard...more
Fantastic flat in great location, very clean , modern well furnished with great views of Brixham harbour, reserved parking space a great bonus, will stay again.
When we arrived we were very impressed with the property and its location, the apartment was very well equipped there wasn't anything that we needed. The location has a lovely Harbor view, the harbor is only a few minutes walk down the hill, however there is a pub and a Hotel where you can eat only a few steps away from this property. We loved our stay here and would certainly consider returning.
I booked this cottage on behalf of my eldest child Girlfriend who was visiting from the USA. Their Checklist was traditional Fisherman's Cottage, Cosy/Homely Fire place - Sumgglars had all of these lovely features. The beautiful views from the wonderful bay windows to the front in the mornings and evening in front of the fire, they loved every minute of their time in the cottage. Although they didn't need to contact Brixham Holiday Homes during the stay all the information on how to do so was in the cottage along with a folder with all the details about the heating etc. I thought the ...more
Great place to stay views over the marina are stunning & a 5minute walk into brixham harbour the house has everything you need for a comfortable stay
When you arrive don’t be disappointed by the outside, as soon as you step in through the doors the cottage is fantastic with everything you need. The living room has a lovely picture window over looking the harbour .The bedrooms are a great size with amazing views and everywhere is lovely and warm the log burner gives it a cosy feel . The parking is minutes away and is a god send we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Bay View was an ideal base from which to explore Brixham and the surrounding area. The appartment was really clean, modern and well equipped. The views over the bay were lovely.
Our family of four had a lovely stay at the Coral appartment in Brixham - really nicely furnished & well maintained accommodation, great location overlooking the harbour and great service from the hosts.. I would definitely recommend and come again!
We have stayed in this apartment many times and are never disappointed. This stay was made much better by the addition of glass panels to the balcony which meant the view was lovely.
Sea Breeze provided a very comfortable base for our stay in Brixham. We were 2 couples visiting friends nearby, and the entire stay was faultless. From the easy and friendly reservation phone call to leaving the property, it went very smoothly. We unloaded the car at the top of the property and easily found parking just one street away. Inside, the house is lovely, fully equipped with top quality furniture and fittings, very clean and comfortable. Outside, there is a selection of sunny sitting areas. The view from the lounge is amazing. We walked everywhere the throughout the weekend - up t...more
We found the property to be everything we needed. Everything was easy to use Even the parking worked really well We visited all the places we usually go to.
Whilst we have stayed in quite a few apartments in the Moorings Reach development, this one has particularly good views and location, including internal layout with majority of rooms overlooking the harbour. As usual; cleanliness was spot on. Would definitely stay again.
We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed our Christmas at Lapwing 1. We loved the views and the seals down in the bay and enjoyed walking the coast path into Brixham.
Fantastic property, great service from Brixham Holidays. Our 2nd stay at The Cove. We’ll be back again too. Thank-You.
We loved this house so much, it felt just like home. Very spacious rooms, and a beautiful view of Brixham. The location was exactly where we wanted to be in Brixham so it ticked all our boxes. We are a family of 4 plus a dog and suited all of our needs, I think if 2 families were sharing you'd possible need another bathroom. We visited over Christmas /New Year and a lovely Christmas tree had been put up for us.
Driftwood cottage was perfect for our family break. The accommodation works well and the views from the first floor windows were superb. Shops, beach, harbour and restaurants all very close.
You get quite a lot of noise from the fish market 24hrs a day but the views, parking and location far out way the forklifts. If you keep the windows shut its fine. The fact this was our third visit tells the story.
The cove is a lovely spot . Puffin 4 had everything we needed for our stay .Spotlessly clean .Kitchen had everything you needed and the oven was very clean unlike some other places we have stayed . The bed and sofa were very comfy .The view from the balcony or the sofa were stunning, just above a fabulous cove with a great little cafe . Lovely walks from the door step .A lovely walk into Brixham excellent places to eat we loved SimplyFish, Albero , Prince William and The Old Market House all very good . Some of the best fresh fish I have ever had . My v small niggle was the bedroom curtai...more
Location is the main advantage to this property being close to coastal walks. The property does not have a very welcoming feel. A few pictures on the walls would help. Sofa is impossible to sit on comfortably. Boiler in cupboard in second bedroom is not the best location especially as it fires up during the night when neither heating or water is on.
Had a nice stay at Plover 2. We got there around 3pm and the key was there so we let ourselves in. The view was stunning and it was very nice. Had a good stay and had everything we needed.
We booked Sea Nook at very short notice on the bank holiday Monday for a break starting the next day. We really enjoyed staying at the cottage and the view over the working harbour plus everything being within walking distance. The parking by the harbour side is a real bonus and whilst unloading when we arrived was a bit of a hassle it wasn't difficult. The cottage itself has got steep and quite narrow stairs which we were fine with although can see how for anyone with any mobility issue they would be very challenging. Everything was very clean, the modern kitchen was well equipped and whilst ...more
We stay in Torbay / Dartmouth approx 6 times a year and always have a house or apartment because we like to relax in our own sitting area which you don’t get in a Hotel. We have been doing this for years, since I moved out of the area and we usually book with bluechip or cottages.com. After a number of disappointing and dirty holiday lets, I decided to go with a different company. I found The Penthouse online through brixham holiday homes and was unsure at first as I hadn’t heard of the booking agents. I decided to book regardless. The best decision I made. Firstly, the agents, Brixham holiday...more
We had a fantastic stay at the Watch House. The house is lovely and the view from living room window is stunning. We often just sat and watched. The house is very well equipped and the supplies of milk, tea etc were really appreciated. The only negative point I would make is that road is extremely narrow and difficult to pass due to parked cars. We found it tricky to negotiate and both the Sainsbury’s man and the lady who brought us take away declined to attempt it .
Had a long weekend with two other couple in this lovely and spacious apartment that was more than adequate for the six of us ' A great ambient with lovely view of the harbour ' Here's to the next time !
As a family we have enjoyed these types of holidays a few times over the years and have been lucky enough to stay in some fab houses. The Pirates rest didn't disappointing. On first impressions we were a little underwhelmed by the Pirates rest. It was a little dated and tired in places. The broadband/WiFi is almost non existent so make sure your teens have plenty of data! All that being said we soon got passed then little things and fell in love with the place. It's a good size, plenty of space for a family to spread out or enjoy each others company. The kitchen is quite well equipped. Bedr...more
After a little difficulty working out the order of the gate entry buttons, we managed to get into the car park and we then just stood and took in the view. Even in the rain and wind of December, it was gorgeous. A short walk to the apartment, a trolley provided for luggage, and a little fight with the key safe, and then we were in. The heating was easy to operate and the hot water had been turned on. We just stood and looked at the view. We were very comfortable and had a lovely family reunion. Definitely a place to visit again.
Great value for money accommodation, for 2 adults. Good location ( not suitable for people who are not mobile), brixham pubs, restaurants & shops only a few mins walk from property ( up & down 100 or so, steep steps ), property does have glimpses of harbour & sea beyond , from living room window
The two bedrooms are very small to accommodate four adults. Each room had a small wardrobe and a tiny shelf within wardrobe. There is a lack of privacy in the front bedroom as the bed is so big you cannot close the door.
House and location all good. Nicely situated for the town, lovely view of the harbor, amenities and facilities excellent. We found old paper plates behind sofa's and sticky sweets on floor of the "playroom" upstairs.. We just felt the only thing it needed was a bit more TLC. We have already recommended to other people
We stayed at the Dragons Nest for a week and thought it was lovely! This house has a great position on the harbour edge with lovely views of the harbour. Very comfortable, lots of bathrooms but also lots of stairs! We didn’t use the garden much but the view at the top level was stunning. Parking in the allocated space was tricky at first due to the posts and closeness of the drop into the harbour, but fine in general. The kitchen needs some storage for food as all cupboards are full. We ate out mostly so less of a problem for us. A very enjoyable week. Would definitely book again!
Dry modern and brilliant location. Cleaning not good, big stain on the poof and one chair also shower glass door filthy.
