A brilliant week in Brixham Harbour. Great days out or even better days in Brixham itself. Plenty of Local Restaurants within Brixham . Loads of great Pubs and Bars within walking distance. Fish caught and cooked in same day. Excellent for long and short walks with plenty going on a day long.
Really comfortable, great location, friendly landlords. And you can sit in the lounge enjoying a fantastic view over the bay.
Three of us spent 4 days here.Best aspect is the location. Hard to beat views, both day and night. Busy harbour so lots to see from patio, but watch out for seagulls. Would not be suitable for anyone who is unfit or struggles with steps. Lots outside and quite steep steps up to bedrooms inside.Plus side is that its five minutes down steps to centre of Brixham. Vey comfortable beds. Good hot shower. Harbour can be busy through the night, so if windows are open if it is hot, you are aware of noise, but not a big issue.
From start to finish, everything ran smooth. The parking space was easy to find and not far at all, the keys were ready and easy to find. Usually when you open an apartment door or a hotel door, the first thing most women do is walk round and check the bathroom and bedrooms and hope they are OK for your stay. This was way above OK. The quality and cleanliness was excellent and the views from the lounge and main bedroom were fantastic. In fact, don't bother reading anymore, if you're looking for an apartment in Brixham just book this one, you won't be disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at New Quay Cottage. The instructions for unloading and reloading our car worked well. Also the free dedicated parking space down on the quay was very convenient. Everything was very comfortable and very clean. Being so close to the quay and harbour was wonderful and very atmospheric. The only negative if you can call it that was the side of the cottage facing the road. It is a busy road so there is road noise through the traditional single glazed windows. However we both got an excellent night's sleep so it wasn't that bad. We would highly recommend a s...more
My family and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the seascape apartment and all we can all say is WOW!!!!! what an apartment the views are breathtaking from the minute you walk in and the decor very tasteful and homely .We managed to park behind the apartment and used public transport to get around while we were there. We enjoyed the stay so much we have booked to come back next year while we were staying and are all looking forward to it very much. The steps down to the harbour look very steep but weren't too bad but not for the light hearted though.Well done seascape you made our brea...more
The climb up to The Mizzen is a challenge!! I would not recommend it for elderly, infirm or heavily pregnant people. However, once you reach The Mizzen, you will be rewarded with the most fabulous view of the Breakwater. Entering into The Mizzen you first come to the light and airy bedroom...plenty of storage space!! We did not find it a problem that the bedroom window is on the ground level and therefore on the footpath, but some people may find it a little unnerving being able to hear everything that people say as they walk past whilst you are snuggled in bed!! The bijou lounge/kitchen are...more
I would highly recommend this accommodation, all your comforts from home in a superb holiday location. Excellent!!
First stay in Brixham was a delight as the flat had all the amenities you would want. A bonus was watching the life boats being launched from the window. Don't let the steps put you off as they are very easy to navigate even in the wet. Had a wonderful stay with mixed weather but again the flat provided plenty of home comforts. The location meant that you didn't have far to go for superb restaurants.
What a fantastic house - great decor and layout with unbeatable views; loved the padded window seat-perfect place to pass the time. Unfortunately previous occupants took the parking permit and didn't return it but we could easily park within walking distance and Agent offered to pay any parking costs.
Lovely location and apartment overall. It would be good to have a tv in the bedroom. Issues with opening the bedroom windows due to the pigeons which made the bedroom very hot through the night and difficult to sleep.
Second visit in 12 months for a short break. I really can't fault the place. Lovely cottage, excellent location.
We stayed there for one week it was a good place to stay good for town/buses/boats very handy for all these things and pubs in the evenings good week
We chose Coral as we were holidaying with elderley parents and the two bedroom/two bathroom all on one level was perfect. Probably the best location in Brixham with fantastic views over harbour and out to sea. Would definitely recommend and would love to return some time. A very small point for the future - hand rails either side of front door to assist older guests but we managed!
Quiet location with fantastic views of Torbay. Balcony had sun (when it shined) until late afternoon. Apartment very nice, comfortable and clean. The walk into Brixham was OK along the coastal path, bit steep on the way back after a couple of beers though.
The accommodation was excellent and very well equipped with lots of very thoughtful items. The only criticism we could make was the state of the balcony. Old cobwebs and the wooden floor and chairs could do with some attention. The accommodation was spotless on arrival and a pleasure to stay in - we enjoyed the holiday very much. The instructions to find the complex could have been better e.g. the property is just before the medical centre - it would have been more useful to have said that it was on the left a few yards after passing the Maritime Inn!! We would stop here again.
Amazing location and lovely apartment. View is priceless and it's a short walk along the coastal path to Brixham. Only slight downside was very hard mattress but that might suit some!
8 Dolphin Court covers all aspects of what you are looking for in a holiday home. Fantastic views. Great quality. Quiet location despite the main road which is not busy at nighttime. Literally 2 mins walk to the harbour. I would recommend. The owner he also left a Torbay Parking pass handy whilst some work is carried out to the parking area. Ideal for day trips as you don't need to pay for parking.
Amazing cottage. The views were second to none. Brilliant from start to finish booking. The best location we have ever stayed in. Our little boy was in tears leaving. We will definitely be back. We miss it!
Brilliant views and a well insulated flat. Sewage smell in the double room, which needs sorting because you need to keep doors open to air out the apartment. Apart from that everything is brilliant.
The property is over three floors, the top two were in good condition but the sitting room furniture could do with a good clean especially the cream sofas. The ground floor smelt damp on arrival but got better as the week went on when the heating kicked in, it must have been vacant for a while. The dinning room furniture was tired and falling to pieces, the kitchen was well equipped, all the bedding and towels were clean and the beds were comfortable. The ground floor bedrooms were tucked away at the back of the property with no views.
We stayed at Sundeck for 5 nights and we're delighted with our choice of holiday accomadation ! The cottage is beautiful, and immediately felt like home to us. On arrival we found it was better to park in the road above the property to unload our bags as we had cars behind us on the drive along King Street and as the road is quite narrow it seemed less stressful to park up! Yes the steps to the property are steep but my 84 yr old mother managed by just taking her time and using the hand rail, we found the steps were a good way of burning off all the extra calories we consumed ( always best to ...more
Spent a wonderful few days down in the lovely Front Row Cottage. What a lovely home from home. Cottage equipped with all the home comforts you need. Furnishings and equipment all to a high standard, the owner has thought of everything. Would highly recommend and will be returning again soon.
This was the second time we have stayed at The Cove and it did not disappoint! A beautifully appointed apartment with everything you could possibly need - including a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The decor is very contemporary and attractive and, as for the view, a clear, uninterrupted view across the bay to Torquay which is beautiful. The pool can be a little on the cool side early in the year, but would be great in the summer. The beach below is private, interesting and has a cafe and toilets, and you can walk over the cliffs into Goodrington Bay and Paignton if you are feeling energetic! ...more
