A beautiful 1 bedroom apartment south of York's ancient city walls. Set right near Bishopthorpe Road, home to independent shops, cafes and businesses and just a few minutes' walk into the heart of the city.

Spacious and comfortable

This accommodation was spacious, comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen as well. It has shops nearby for groceries as well as a number of local restaurants.

Weekend treat for my partner of 23 years. She was blown away at how nice and moden the accommodation was. There was a few crumbs around the dinning table and the sofa in the living room seemed very dusty so triggered a dust allergy. The bed was very comfortable but would say. Maybe to soft. To lay down on the bed, felt like you was sinking. Pillows had a musky smell. The bathroom the seemed to be an ongoing issue under the toilet slight leak. Toilet & seat quite small. Sky light can't be opened as adjoining properties windows overlook bathroom. Was rudly awakened Friday morning at 640am to the window cleaner. As I have PTSD this then triggered me all morning. 3 nights with lake of sleep takes its toll. Street noise. From traffic and drunken passers-by till all hrs 4.30am being the earliest woken by 3 men shouting outside the accommodation

This was our third stay at the property. A very comfortable and well equipped apartment, perfectly located for the independent shops and restaurants of “Bishy” Road. It isn’t far from the train station or the centre of the City either.

The bedroom is spacious and the bed very comfortable - though we had a rude awakening very early one morning when the window cleaner turned up unexpectedly!

We appreciated having the option of a bath or shower, plus there is a washing machine - useful for longer stays.

Internet is provided, but I wouldn’t recommend it for streaming or making video calls.

All in all, a great home from home in York. I’m sure we’ll be back again soon.

We have stayed in this apartment a number of times and it's like coming home, we love it! Fab location, quiet on an evening, short walk to centre of York. Will be booking again soon definitely.

This was our second stay at 123 Nunnery Lane, which is well located for seeing our family who live in York. It is next to Bishopthorpe Road, which has a great collection of independent shops and eateries as well as a couple of convenience stores. Rowntree park is just down the road,

There is no parking at the property, but it isn’t too far from a car park. We didn’t use the car all week as we walked into York every day - a pleasant 10-15 minutes to the centre. It is an easy walk from the railway station.

The flat is stylishly decorated and there was plenty of room for the two of us. The bedroom is huge and we found the bed very comfortable. Nice to have the choice of a bath or shower too.

Although the flat is generally well equipped, there was no fan. The flat got very hot when the temperature rose (it hit 28 degrees centigrade outside for for a couple of days during our stay). The windows only open a few centimetres for safety reasons, so it didn’t really cool down overnight. I sent a couple of emails to the letting agent asking about a fan during our stay, but didn’t receive a reply. The wifi is a little slow too.

However, we would definitely stay here again. It is a lovely property.

Glad you liked the apartment. Sorry to hear you found it noisy in the evenings. I don't think this has come up at all in the past few years so can only assume you've been very unlucky with an isolated incident. Hope to see you in York again soon :)
