These lovely cottages are at the top of a hill with great views of Swansea bay and the Gower and 15 mins walk from Clyne Vale country park and 25 mins to the beach. Fantastically well-appointed accommodation with the lack of wi-fi in the cottages the only drawback. As i was there over New Year i did not meet the owners but i was left a couple of local ales, a pint of milk and some welsh cakes to greet my arrival - a lovely touch from my point of view. If you are looking for a secluded location with great walks but close enough to the city to sample the night life of Uplands or Mumbles then th...more
Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Stables Cottage. Very welcoming, with homely touches, such as Welsh cakes and a pint of milk in a ‘real’ glass bottle :). Very clean and comfortable, amazing location, lovely views, amazing sunsets from the kitchen window, friendly efficient staff..... what more could you want?.Perfect.
A fantastic piece of restored and maintained literary history. I loved my stay. Many thanks to all the volunteers who have, and continue, to ensure the house is available to the public. I look forward to returning in the future!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR BOTH BUSINESS AND PLEASURE STAY VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT SERVICE WONDERFUL LOCATION
November visit, warm & cosy, plenty of teabags & milk supplied which was great o arrival, scenic location with easy access to the local area. Everything we needed and more than we expected.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR BOTH BUSINESS AND PLEASURE STAYS. VERY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT SERVICE. WONDERFUL LOCATION.
The best that I can comment about Clyne farm centre is that the view from our accommodation in Horseshoe cottage was amazing. On the down side the shower is inconsistent in that the water temperature fluctuates from hot to very hot and down to cold, which is not at all pleasant. It appears to alter when taps or appliances that use water are turned on or...more
Wonderful views from top of hill location, but a little tacky. TV not working properly, the barn was very cold but did warm up after use of supplemental heating provided. Outside light did not work. Beds old and uncomfortable. Nice touch though - two beers and Welsh cakes and bottle of milk in fridge. Would be much improved if the beds were changed for new. No we would not stay at Byron's Barn again.
