Nuthatch is a pretty two bedroom cottage located at Lea Hill in Membury on the Devon and Dorset boarder. The cottage sleeps up to four and is within easy reach of the south Devon and Dorset beaches, which form part of the Jurassic Coast.

A piece of isolated heaven!

If you want to get away from it all, Nuthatch cottage is perfect. A narrow tree-lined lane leads to the owners beautiful farmhouse surrounded by a collection of quaint cottages. The friendly owners are on hand and very helpful with queries and local information, there are public footpaths from their land for walkers. The garden is completely enclosed for dogs, and a lovely sunny space to enjoy meals outside. The cottage is spacious, very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely relaxing holiday in this beautiful and peaceful haven.

Great location for exploring both Devon & Dorset. To reach the cottage you have to tackle a very narrow lane which can be tricky. We chose the cottage as it allowed dogs. The cottage is very pretty with a lovely garden, rooms are spacious although kitchen could be bigger. The only disappointment were the bathrooms, there was only one shower however it wasn’t fit for purpose, we couldn’t get it to work properly, even after contacting the owners it still didn’t work (no pressure & ran cold) there were two large baths, however the water would only run hot for approximately a minute, not good when there are four adults . We would have to boil the kettle to wash dishes.
To summarise ‘lovely cottage in a great location but in need of some attention ‘
