Location: Good
Staff: Okay, not 100% accommodating.
Villa: Great, size etc. (infested with ants for our whole stay, in our beds and cots with the kids, really bad at times, the cleaners cleaned but kept coming back)
We would stay again if the ant problem was sorted out.

The Vidamar resort is on the whole very nice and we had a great holiday but in no way is it a 5 star hotel and I think it is very misleading to market it as such. On the positive side, the resort is well kept, modern and clean. It wasn't over busy which was great and the pool area is great for adults and children alike. The beach is fabulous and the walkway to it was really convenient. The villa we stayed in was very spacious and it suited our needs well but beware the need for many child gates due to pretty dangerous stairs. The food choice was pretty good and in the main it was a decent standard. However, there are so many things that could be better. Food in the restaurants is served from 7pm so very inconvenient for small children. Surely 6/6.30 is more family friendly? The pool bar that does serve food till 6pm is just not good enough quality to feed children each night unless you are happy with chicken nuggets and chips. Service at the front desk was slow, the check in process was awfully slow with no concierge available to take care of existing guests enquiries whilst new guests were checking in. The cleaning of the villas each day was poor - yes the beds and towels were changed but the bathrooms were not cleaned. Our outside terrace was never cleaned. And small design issues like the hair dryer not having a cable long enough to allow you to blow dry your hair in front of a mirror - a small point but very annoying! A man clearly designed those rooms! Vidamar is a nice resort but is 4 star at best.
