Location: Praia da Falesia, Algarve, approx 20 minutes from Faro Airport.
Description: A truly unique 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Residence Apartment in grand proportions on ground garden level. This superior residence has a very spacious living area opening on to private terrace.
The master bedroom also has double doors which open directly onto the terrace. This apartment features a large fully-fitted kitchen which includes oven and hob, refrigerator, dishwashing machine, toaster, coffee machine, electric kettle and blender, washing machine, iron and ironing board, Satellite TV, Wi-Fi , Fully air conditioned. The resort was perfect for my family with golf course and bicycle and car hire on site. Restaurant service was very slow especially in the evenings. We’ve stayed in many 5 star resorts and the spa was one of the most expensive and the fish restaurant cost us €500 for 4 adults with minimal alcohol which included fresh line caught fish.

That said the residences were perfect for us and we ate breakfast on our patio and lunch in the resort. We had dinner once in villa moura on the marina which was nice and went to albufeira which we’d not been to before but is somewhere for the young to party and not for adults looking for a nice dinner venue.

Beach was amazing and beach restaurant fantastic albeit hot at this time of year. Resort has a great lift down to the beach but the walk back if have accessibility issues likely to be a bit much e.g. my elder mum who uses a stick would not have been able to manage it.

Every one of the family would return again.

A fantastic holiday from start to finish. Pine Cliffs is a great resort for a relaxing holiday. The accommodation and food are both first class and the facilities at the resort are second to none. Design Holidays as usual were excellent to deal with.

I love pine cliffs, accommodation fab, surroundings fab! The one thing I would say is the choice of food for kids is not ideal with the same menu in all the restaurants except the buffet. Even if they varied it with 2 menus, but one is pretty poor.
Also the food has increased considerably in price meaning that even with half board it can be very expensive.
I still love it, but these are 2 points that they need to look at

Apartments were top notch, the grounds were beautifully kept and had great facilities.

Food at times was excellent, but variety was needed, and kids menu pretty average. I am guessing this maybe due to main hotel still being shut.

Overall a great holiday and would probably return!

TV system is awful, basically didn't work for the whole stay, we asked for it to be sorted out but it wasn't.
Cleaning was on one occasion poor.
Some of furnishings and decor looking a bit tired.

Overall the resort is still excellent and offers exactly what we want. The resort has, however, become a victim of its own success. The main area of focus for me is that the infrastructure cannot cope with the number of people, ie queuing for breakfast and dinner, and the swimming pools just cannot cope with the volume of people in them. I fear that this will become worse with the addition of a further 70 rooms and families with only one further swimming pool and one additional restaurant. This is the one thing that may eventually stop me coming, as this year, I felt everything was just too busy. I appreciate this is what Sheraton wants in order to maximise revenue, but it is now making the customer experience diminish.

Other items on which to concentrate for the resort - If you have booked a half board package and use the transfer value in another restaurant, then that restaurant should be aware of this though their central database, TV through the internet is not stable enough if you want to watch TV, cleaning of the rooms need to be more thorough and the road train needs an overhaul in terms of timetable and please give it a suspension!

A luxurious and fantastic holiday resort. Perfect for both adults and children. Amazing food, great service and gorgeous accommodation all within a fabulous setting. An all round top star holiday destination!
