High Wards, Loch Lomond is adjacent to the established RSPB wetland habitat nature reserve with views of the islands and Ben Lomond. The property is simply exceptional, luxuriously updated and elegantly restored. Set within the breathtaking beauty of Loch Lomond, Wards Estate is home to some of the stars of Scottish wildlife: deer, otters, eagles, osprey and Greenland white-fronted, graylag and pink-footed geese gather in large numbers to take advantage of the sheltered roosting and feeding sites. The house itself has nine comfortable bedrooms on the first and second floors; seven of which are en-suite, with an additional family bathroom and shower on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a boot room, swimming pool suite, double cloakroom, large laundry, four spacious public rooms and two built in sub-zero fridges and one freezer for entertaining. Log burners, large glass windows, double height ceilings and superior furnishings and fittings are standard throughout this exceptional property.
The property also has an indoor heated swimming pool and large windows and glass doors leading out to the sun patio. With changing and shower rooms and a large store of towels, this facility provides a fun filled alternative to those planned excursions in all-weather conditions. The pool has security code door access for your safety.
The estate grounds offer extensive past times appealing to the young and old, from woodland walks to meandering in the garden areas and playing games on the many lawns. There is a hard surface tennis court and wonderful children’s play area with swings, slide, trampoline and Wendy house. Patio areas surround the house and there is plenty of garden furniture to ensure you enjoy your BBQ in the sunshine with those views.
We had a wonderful stay at High Wards. It was as lovely as advertised and accommodated nine teen people aged 3 to 88 in great comfort and style. Emily and her team did us proud and the location was a great base to tour the lower highlands . Outstanding holiday
