Airhouses is the perfect place to unwind. It is one of Scotland's undiscovered gems with a quiet beauty which changes with the Seasons.
We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a superb stay. As with our previous two visits, we received a warm welcome from Carol and Martin. The lodge was cosy and ready for our arrival. The Christmas tree and twinkly lights eased us fabulously into the Christmas spirit. We mostly relaxed in the amazing surroundings, enjoying the superb hot tub, watching the wildlife and walking around the farm, visiting the farmyard animals. We stayed in The Buchanan in August 2011. Back then it was just us and our 10 year old daughter. The holiday was perfectly suited to our needs back then and we always promised ourselves that we would return one day.
Fast forward to December 2017 when we (eventually) returned with my 70+ year old Mum, our 17 year old daughter and her boyfriend of the same age.
As it did previously, the property, location and facilities suited us perfectly despite our 'advancing' years. Airhouses is definitely the place to make fantastic memories. Thank you Carol and Martin!
What an amazing place to stay. The view was outstanding, especially if you got up early enough to see the sunrise.
The lodge was an ideal size for the two of us. All fixtures and fittings were of a high quality. Everything that you require for your stay is catered for, including slippers and dressing gown. Just bring food and drink.
The kitchen was overflowing with utensils, place settings etc. Just fill up the dishwasher and do all at once at the end of your stay if you wish. Hot tub used extensively. Very relaxing after our days out. Taking away those aches and pains from all the walk...more
This is just the perfect place for a short break. Set in the quite beautiful borders of Scotland you won't be disappointed
with what awaits you: stunning views, perfect peace and quiet and a level of comfort second to none. We had a wonderful short stay and will most certainly be returning next year. We loved the hot tub, BBQ hut and beautiful surroundings. We also appreciated the thought and care the owners put into ensuring our stay was 5 star. A huge thanks for making this such a memorable stay.
