Kantara, Portree is well located for exploring the Isle of Skye whilst being within walking distance of Portree town centre. With two double bedrooms, each ensuite, the house is perfect for friends or families travelling together.

Kantara was a great place for us to stay while we were on Skye. It was easy to get around the isle and a short walk to town.

The house is very well situated and 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The owner, Murdo is very friendly and knows the island well. Top marks from me.



Highlight of our tour, good location, warm and cosy, all we needed to relax.

Our week in the “wee yellow house” was the highlight of our tour of the highlands. Good location, easy to walk into Portree for restaurants, boat trips, etc, or to drive elsewhere, especially the nearby Trotternish Peninsula which is awesome!
Warm welcome from our helpful host, friendly without being intrusive. Careful instructions in place about how everything worked.
The house was warm and cosy inside with excellent power showers, and the garden equipped to sit outside on the sunny days, all we needed to relax!

Very nice self catering accommodation. Silent, though in near of the main street.
Great view out of the sitting room windows! Near to the center, where all the bars are ;-)
The lock of one toilet doors was broken, but this was not a show stopper. Eventually my wife could escape ;-)

We lived in a very spacious and comfortable cottage with everything needed. It was near the centre, the port and bus station.
There was lots of information to learn about the isle so that we could inform about everything necessary.

This place was a short walk to the center of town which was great for our vacation. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The WiFi was also very fast which was also important for us. Thank you Kantara!

The house is only a short walk away from the centre, which we found very convinient.
Good showers, good beds, plenty of space to store your personal things and a nice view from the livingroom window. The kitchen is unfortunately not well equipped, if you want to cook a meal, there are almost no dishes or platters and the teflon- coated pan and pots are scratched and should be replaced.
But all in all we can fully recommend the house and we had a nice holiday.

Lovely small property across from the school in Portree. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the centre of Portree where the restaurants are located.
Both bedrooms are quite large with good storage and small ensuite toilets. The toilets have showers which have excellent pressure but do not heat up very well. I think it is something to do with the type of heating system install, as I was only there for a couple of days it was fine for me.
The kitchen is very small so only best for small meals/breakfast.
Good sized living room with a foldable dining table and chairs at the window, couch, armchair and television with freeview channels.

Ideal for couples/small family.
