Blue Sea Cottage, Lower Milovaig has an enviable position overlooking Loch Pooltiel and out towards the Outer Hebrides. Upstairs the holiday home has a double and a twin bedroom along with the spacious bathroom featuring a roll top bath. On the ground floor there is a snug lounge, kitchen and dining area as well as a large sun room with generous windows, perfect to watch the world go by! Blue Sea Cottage is ideal for a relaxing holiday exploring Glendale and the Dunvegan area as well as day trips around the Isle of Skye and Raasay.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Sea Cottage! The view from the home is amazing and the sun room is the perfect place to enjoy it. The bedrooms are comfortable with nice linens. The bathroom is large and the bathtub was such a luxury. The kitchen space and cooking supplies were perfect for us to cook meals every day. We are already eager for a return trip to Skye!

Our stay at the cottage was amazing. Every year we do 2 trips to the UK with our 4 criteria being 180 degree sea view, semi-remote location, modern accommodation and extremely clean and comfortable. Blue Sea cottage hit all of of criteria perfectly. This is a great cottage and one of the finest we have stayed in. We had an issue with the tenant before us turning off the hot water valve which was a bummer as we did not have hot water for 48 hours, but this was not the owners fault and they contacted us personally from their vacation in Spain to make sure that we got it sorted.
There is also a great little cafe that does exceptional food 5 minutes away and which is surprisingly full with tourist going out to the Lighthouse each day. There is also a small shop where you can get pretty much everything you need food wise and if you can't Dunvegan is only 20 minutes away and they have everything. The fruit and veg stand is really good also. Prices are good and you don't need to stock up in the big city like we did, but if you must have a special item like Glueten free then get it before you come.
The wildlife was amazing and we even had a 4 pronged stag come over the fence and into the front yard.
If you get good weather, which we did May 5-12, the sunniest month, you will get to enjoy the "Sun Room" which is the room with the large windows. With the long Scottish days this room would drip in warm stunning direct sunlight for 6-9 hours at a time. Add this to the fact that it is possible to sit outside for 2-4 hours at a time and hear nothing but natural noise (Wind,Sheep,Sea,Birds). The silence is incredibly healing if you are coming from somewhere like California where we are from. If you can take a 1.5 mile hike directly over the hills to the left of the cottage and you will come to one of the most awe inspiring views in Scotland with Neist Lighthouse to the south. Lastly, we ate at Three Chimneys. It set us back $325 for two people, but worth every penny. If you are a foodie, this place is a must. In the end BSC was a great time away and one of our best. Thanks so much. We highly recommend it!

WOW! From the moment we walked through the door we were amazed. Of course the view is the center stage of this cottage but I can't say enough about how wonderful the unit itself is. They have done an excellent job of making a modern facility that is very complete. We had a very relaxing time enjoying the quiet comfort including a selection of music to add to the experience. One note for travelers is that it is remote so best to pick up a few supplies before reaching the island or go through Portree. We arrived a day late on Sunday and found many things closed but there was a convenience store in Dunvegan that got us by. If you want to be away from the crowds and enjoy the quiet beauty of this island, look no further.

Isn't nice to be at home again?

Returning to a cottage where you already stayed well is certainly risky. Blue Sea Cottage flees to this condition: it's to return home, to appreciate again its comfortable interior spaces and the external nature. It is especially to enter the spirit of the holiday even before opening the entrance door, immediately starting to relax forgetting the hectic life we are subjected to in everyday life. Therapeutic! In the near future we will return again, happy to say there is no two without three.
