The Trees is a large 7 bedroom converted guest house located in the seaside town of Amlwch. Parys Mountain, the Copper Kingdom is only a 5 min drive.

Well equipped and located for a good family holiday.

We were a 3 generation family of 14 with grandchildren 5-12 yrs. It suited us very well, especially the large dining/kitchen, equipped well for a large party. We visited 5 lovely different beaches, enjoyed coastal walks (3 lighthouses) and visited Beaumaris Castle & Plas Newydd - a superb variety (we had wonderful weather!)
For want of criticism we would suggest the provision of oven gloves and cleaning materials.

We found the place to be clean and stone's throw away from all the snowdonia attractions (national park, train atop mount snowdon , beaches). The property is spacious. The cost was almost on-par with what we might have paid to stay at Hilton (4 families) , however the large common spaces and big kitchen make it a value-for-money stay. We were a group of 4 families. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. We had Karaoke night in the living room, we also managed to have a small bonfire outside the property. For the first night, we figured that heater in one of the bedrooms (numbered 4) wasn't working, a replacement heater was provided promptly. I would highly recommend it for a group of friends or families.

we stayed at the trees in amlwch for new year the was a large group of us of all ages the trees provided a fantastic base for our weekend and loads of space it was stocked with everything we needed relax and bring in the new year.
Everywhere was clean on our arrival and the house was warm and welcoming even if the weather wasn't we had rain like you never believed . Couldn't really find anything to say as a negative it suited us down to the ground and hope to return soon.
If there was one slight negative i heard people mention during the weekend is they would have liked a toilet on the ground floor but that said every room is en suite so they had seven bathrooms to use so plenty.
overall we had a great stay and would recommend to others defiantly.

We needed a large house for a family get togather, children, adults and dogs.
14 adults, 5 children
2 dogs
The trees was great value for money and it was great to know the dogs were wecome.
The owners of 'The Trees' could not have been more helpful, as we had some last minute changes and requests.

Lots of parking and all bedrooms ensuite with plenty of hot water.
We hired the hot tub which was great fun.

This house is great value for money

This house is ideal for large groups with every bedroom having its own en suite. No toilet downstairs though.
We did have a couple of issues while we were there but, as if by magic (Mr Ben) a man appeared, in his dressing gown, and fixed them!!!!
Large parking space.
No barbecue.
Steep staircase.
Well equipped kitchen.
Would definitely book to stay there again.

The trees is a large property with seven ensuite bedrooms all on the first floor and generous living space on the ground floor. It is well placed, close to shops and beaches. I stayed there in the last week of May with my family consisting of 8 adults and 6 children, we had a very enjoyable holiday. There were some issues, we had insufficient bath and hand towels provided and the oven did not work properly also the windows in the conservatory were locked and had no keys, not a problem in may but would make the room very hot in the summer. Lastly parties considering a booking should be aware that there is no toilet facilities on the ground floor which could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems. All in all a good place that could be superb with a little investment.

Very spacious living area that worked well for 18. Good size kitchen and utility room. Good size fridge and freezer. Bedrooms ok but some a bit cool. Some updating and tlc needed in places. Not enough kitchen equipment especially mugs and cutlery, centre ring on cooker not working. A downstairs toilet would be good.

The house is ideal for a large party of people to stay, all bedrooms are ensuite so no queues in the morning for a shower!
Not much around by foot but a short drive away you will find great things to see and do.

The Trees is a great property situated in a perfect location. We had three generations at the house for a long awaited get together. The benefit of having en-suite bedrooms, along with family rooms was great. The large kitchen/ dining room was more than adequate for our self catering needs. The lounge and conservatory offer ample, comfortable seating for all and the weather was kind so we made use of the outdoor area and the front. The location is great for shops, pubs etc and the beach is only a 10 minute drive. The only negative was there was no downstairs toilet, when you have young children in bed it is difficult to use the en-suite bathroom. We loved the property and certainly will be back again.



Substantial and spacious. But more attention to detail needed.

The Trees is a large house on the gorgeous island of Anglesey. There is ample space in the property for big groups and ensuite facilities in each room which is fantastic. However, the house is tired and needs some time spent improving the guest experience. The kitchen is not equipped to cater for groups, indeed there are not enough knives and forks in the property for the number of people it claims to sleep, nor are there enough seats in one room for groups to sit together. The oven does not work properly and some of the hobs do not work. The property is not entirely suitable for those with young children. The stairs are hard, tricky to navigate and uneven sizes in places but with no downstairs toilet they have to be scaled regularly, the fire doors in the property also open with normal pull handles rather then push bars making them very easy for children to access. General maintenance is an issue in the property for example there are tvs in every bedroom of the house, however they do not all work, we also found that some of the lamps were missing bulbs and that the bulbs had 'gone' in other lamps. There are also issues with windows in three of the rooms either not opening or c not closing and showers not draining properly in others. We also had concerns about the levels of cleanliness in the property, especially when covid security is so important, the floors were covered in dog hair and my daughter found a dog tag in the lounge on the radiator suggesting that the room had not been cleaned properly since the previous guests.

The Trees has such potential, but needs some TLC and consideration of the guest experience, rather than profit before it is somewhere I would consider visiting again or recommending to others.

This house is spotless and comfortable and not too far away from lovely villages and beaches to visit , the actual location of the house is not such a picturesque place but once in the house you wouldn’t know I think an extra fridge freezer would be good and a bigger sink in the kitchen as not big enough for a house catering for that amount of guests. Also a sweeping brush and pan would be good but on the whole we had a lovely time there and would go again

Good basic holiday accomodation. Would recommend having more comfortable outdoor furniture.
Owners very friendly and very helpful

Nice and quiet position ideal for walks and travel to other parts of the region.
The TREES is roomy with plenty of space for large families.Plenty of parking space.We found it ideal for our party.

The Trees provides a good base for a large group holiday. On suite in all bedrooms is great for mixed groups, however no downstairs toilet facilities was raised as a need at times with 18 people. The outside space is great, with a lawn for kids playing safely to the front and a space for hot tubs at the back.
The house is clearly in need of updating and with renovations ongoing at the property, the owner appears to be aware of this.
The kitchen needs to be equipped to cope with the needs of 18 people. The conservatory adds a useful additional space for dining in large groups.
This house has lots of potential and provided us with a good base to explore Anglesey and beyond!

Fantastic accommodation for large family groups. All rooms ensuite with televisions. Very warm comfortable place. Plenty of room for everyone. Conservatory is large and the perfect party games and dancing area. Dogs allowed. Large garden to play ball with the dog.
We had a small problem with the heating when we arrived and phoned the owner and the problem was solved within a few hours.
Towels and linen provided.
We also managed a lovely coastal walk which was within walking distance from the house. The local area is a bit rundown but lots of beautiful places to visit by car.
We catered for ourselves but there are eating places a short drive away.

We booked a weekend away for a large group of adults and children. The house was beautiful, and the rooms were perfect for what we needed. The large conservatory added a good amount of extra room for the kids to play. The facilities were great. Only thing to note is that the house is in the process of having work done. There was a door on the upper level that lead to the roof and down to the garden that did not lock. There were young kids so this was a bit worrying but nothing we couldn't manage.

The house was very clean with lots of toilets and bathrooms. We liked it a lot. The only negatives were that the garden bore no resemblance to the photo on the website. There was a house being built in the garden and it made it look like a builder's yard. Also, the conservatory, which was huge could have done with a pool table or a table tennis table to fill it up.

The house was musty smelling, as were the bedrooms,bedding and towels, The en suites in some of the bedrooms weren't very clean.
The property was in a general state of tiredness. We felt that the property hadn't been let for a long time, and it was either in the process of being withdrawn for letting or that the property was being sold off.

Had a problem with the fuses which led to sockets and lights not working, but the owner sorted that out for us.

The property is obviously undergoing some renovation and so is not in the best of condition but the main selling point was that we were able to stay there with four dogs, so our two-legged family were able to enjoy a really good break, along with our four-legged family.



Generally a good house for large family group, with a few quibbles.

Good points : large, warm house, well-insulated accoustically, with lots of bathrooms. Excellent wifi, good clean towels and bed linen. Large equipped kitchen and cooker, big fridge and freezer, lots of plates, glasses. Lots of place to park. We were able to rent Wednesday to Wednesday.
Quibbles : the bathrooms were not very clean : mould and cobwebs in some (in particular n°5), plumbing a little bizarre - needed to coordinate shower times between bathrooms to avoid sudden changes in water temperature; shredder-toilet in N° 5 often came on spontaneously at night.
Slats in bed in n° 6 not secure, uncomforable springs in mattress in N° 1. Five bedside lights not working.
Only 7 forks, for 13 people ! (fortunately we happened to have some in the car). Pity there is no WC on the ground floor, and could do with place to hang wet coats, anoraks etc

We booked The Trees for a family weekend, and then stayed on for a few days extra just the 3 of us . (10 adults and 2 babies) The house was lovely and warm a really good size for the generations and in a good location.
It was well equipped in the sense of plenty of bathrooms with plenty of hot water and the owner was on hand to help.
As the house is aimed at large family groups who will be eating in more wine glasses and a coffee machine would be a welcome addition, as well as 1 large dining table. If the owners are thinking of any alterations, a downstairs toilet would be very useful, especially for groups with small children or elderly relatives.
When we arrived we were a little disappointed to find the decoration rather tatty, in one bedroom the wall paper was coming away and the windows were not very clean.

Thank you for your feedback. The owner has sent us the following reply:- "Yes, everything was done before the next guests arrived - apart from coffee maker! 2 large tables now in place. Downstairs toilet planned and decoration to start mid November."

Good location lots of space. An old hotel adapted to holiday lets. Cleanliness poor. Some of the bathrooms very very dated and need updating showers in some dont work. The space is fantastic and given the number of people it slept 14 @ 185 per night its value for money if you look past the decor, poor bathrooms and cleanliness.

Good size accommodation for a large party with plenty of bathrooms and space. Slightly tired looking in decor and in some need of renovation. Situated in a quiet non tourist area with good amount of garden for kids to play.
Some issues with broken wardrobe doors, broken light bulbs, water pressure in the showers, conservatory door handle broken so if shut could not get back in but overall a good base for large family/party holiday.
The building of new properties at the side of the long driveway did create some early morning disturbances and we were not made aware of this at time of booking or before we arrived at property.
