Rubens Barn is a little rural gem. All of the creature comforts, extremely generous food provisions and a wonderful owner who greeted us on arrival and departure. Accessible to Chichester, Midhurst and Petworth. Highly recommended.
Stunning apartment in the heart of midhurst, designed beautifully with plenty of space and luxuries throughout. Apartment is set nicely off the main road, with bedrooms facing an secluded courtyard so absolutely no issues with noise. We slept very well here - Cannot fault the kitchen also, well equipped and centre island makes entertaining very social. Also, it is steps from a UK renowned coffee shop (Gartons Coffee House) We are planning our next stay already.
House is both old (lots of original wooden beams) and new (modern bathrooms and kitchens), tastefully updated. Grounds are enormous, with a tranquil lake, hot tub, and outbuildings to explore. The house is situated off a quite country lane, but nearby Billingshurst has a direct train to London. Plenty of good pubs around. We had a great time, the enormous garage was fun to look around. Recommended.
High Haven has everything for a very comfortable stay in Midhurst, presented to a very high standard and centrally located to walk and explore the local area. Allocated parking was a bonus. A very enjoyable stay in an extremely good value apartment of character.
Reginal Rd, Southsea, Portsmouth, Hampshire. A lovely two bedroom Victorian terraced house with everything needed for a lovely visit. Very quiet and peaceful area Close to the sea front and all the interesting parts of old Portsmouth. Plenty of restaurants and shopping areas. Clubs and pubs close by but not too near. Reasonable priced, very clean and very well presented. Lovely south facing conservatory and paved rear garden Well worth a visit, very helpful agent will book again..
A lovely, bright, well equipped cottage. Very close to everything. Parking is tricky but the owner provides a parking permit, which is great. (It would help if Henry Adams explained this in their confirmation document).
Wonderful place:Spacious, very well equipped and lovingly decorated rooms. Nice beds, cool rooms on hot days (fell in love with the shutters!). Very light, windows everywhere. All one could wish for is present. Nice large fluffy towels, even perfect reading lights. Close to highway thus ideally located to make day trips and there’s easy on-foot access to large and small stores. Yet super quiet and tranquil place both during day and nighttime. Only pretty sound of whistling birds. Seaside just a short drive away, nice walking. Super stay!!!
We loved our stay at the pebbles the property was very clean and tidy and we have had very good contact with the guys at Henry adams who made booking this property very easy
A lovely cottage in an excellent location in the centre of Midhurst with a well equipped kitchen and excellent all round facilities. Very clean and tidy and well managed by Henry Adams. Minor issues were dealt with immediately and communication was first class. Highly recommended.
Although we arrived very late due to delayed flight, we were in constant contact with the hosts, who helped us find the way-in the end even waving a torch in the street, so we knew were to go. Every help was available, if it was needed, but we were also able to enjoy our privacy. The cottage is lovely and cosy, the surrounding area due to the art of the host, created a joyful and peaceful surround. We specially loved the stone henge, most. beautifully created. Will try to book again.
My husband, two children, and I spent 7 days at this townhome in Chichester. It was in a wonderful location, completely walkable to restaurants, groceries, and the Cathedral. We used it as a jumping off point to visit a lot of South England, it was very centrally located to all the points we visited on our trip. Be aware that the car parking spot is down a very narrow lane, but there is also street parking nearby (restricted during certain hours). All and all, an extremely pleasant visit, would absolutely recommend to others.
We found the Parlour to be well equipped, small but comfortable and ideal for a couple such as ourselves. The footpath across the road leading to the South Downs Way offers good walking opportunities. The nearest town, Petersfield, has all the facilities I think one would need. Being able to light the wood burning stove on a chilly evening was an added bonus.
We’ve stayed at this property twice now and it’s been fantastic both times. Very very clean and tidy can’t fault the property at all.
Very comfortable. Large well equipped kitchen. More spacious than we were expecting from the photographs. Although close to the main house, the annex is designed in a way that gives it its own privacy. The patio, while part of the larger garden, feels like the annex's private space. Car parking on site. Quiet, rural location but only a short drive from supermarkets and Chichester. Excellent location for visiting West Sussex attractions. Warm welcome from Wendie, and then left alone to enjoy the holiday, although always on hand for any queries.
Lovely holiday letting. The Parlour is in excellent condition and all the facilities needed for a holiday were in place.
A wonderful cottage, a home from home, with lovely hosts, Simon and Rosie. Will definitely be booking again!
We had a wonderful 2 days at Pirate Haven. A lovely, comfortable property with all mod cons and a great outside seating area. Fantastic sea views are had from the balcony, along with easy access to the beach.
We couldn’t have hoped for a better base than this for our two weeks in Chichester. This comfortable and well-appointed property is in a great location for access to the town, the theatre and the south downs. The hosts were incredibly helpful and attentive to every need. Highly recommended!
We had to wait 2 years for this holiday due to covit. I would strongley like to recomend this holliday home, we had a very warm welcome with home made scones and marmelade, butter, tea , coffee, and a bottle of wine. If we had any problems we only had to ask. It was a very nice holiday and we would like to come again.
Our 3rd stay at the Beach House with our family of 4 was a home from home experience. Perfect location to paddle in the water, explore Thorney Island or to sit on the balcony and watch the sunnset. We would highly recommend this unique location.
This townhome is very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It's in a great location, a short stroll to the promenade/beach and close to the pier, shopping, cafes, and mini golf. Lovely sea views from the living room and main bedroom which we were not expecting and a nice courtyard garden too. Lots of books and games provided, bicycles, loads of information on what to see/do. Very quiet residential area despite its proximity to everything which was a plus. The owner popped round to say hallo and make sure all was okay, which was a nice touch. Would be very happy to stay again.
Lovely property in a great location. The owner was extremely helpful and very friendly. Will stay again when in the area.
I found this little cottage last minute and am very happy that I did. On arrival Stuart and Sarah were both very welcoming and helpful., the cottage is set in the grounds of their house and is fantastic! The location is super especially if you like walking or cycling and there are very many interesting places to visit close by. Would definitely visit again.
Amazing apartment, very clean and had everything we needed. The Little touches were great, like the seaside themed cushions. Lots of space to put your things. Fantastic view. Quiet. Everything was a high standard.
This was our 2nd time using 4 Priory Road and that should be a positive endorsement as to how we found our stay such a great experience 1st time around. We will be back!
Lots of room, lovely bedroom, beautiful kitchen dining area and garden. We had an issue with hot water - there was none. But we contacted the emergency number. Via a few texts they managed to send a plumber out it was all sorted in 24 hours.
We had an excellent stay over 2021/2022 Christmas period and enjoyed wonderful views of the downs, walks to the village pub (red lion), and walks from Fernhurst up Blackdown Hill. The house was clean, comfortable and well laid out for a family or small group of friends with a spacious and well organized kitchen for cooking and enjoying meals. We also chose this accommodation because the ground floor has a bedroom and same level disabled access bathroom across the entrance lobby, which was necessary for a family member with limited mobility. Access to the property and instructions were clear an...more
This house is stunning in both itself and the location, and all the rooms were clean and well presented when we arrived. However, when we started to use the kitchen we found that the cutlery, utensils and plates etc. were not clean and we had to wash everything before we could use it, The quality of the cutlery was appalling for the quality and cost of the properly. When we first used the dishwasher it would not clean anything, and on investigation we found the filter to be completely clogged up with old grease and bits of food, It looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks, the same for the...more
Stayed 2 nights in October as a group of 4 for a girls weekend. Cottage had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, Kim. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom seemed newly decorated. The kitchenette may be on the small side, but we managed to cook dinners and do a cooked breakfast in the mornings very well. Don’t be put off by the Waterlooville address, you would never know you were near the A3. It’s so quiet and peaceful here, with beautiful country views to look out on. Plenty to do in local area too, we enjoyed Gunwharf Quays. We’d definitely com...more
The cottage was very large, comfortable and nicely presented. They had thought of every possible piece of equipment we could have needed. The garden was lovely and enclosed for the dog. I only had one negative and that was that the gardener let himself into the garden unannounced. On top of the privacy and security issue with this, he could have let the dog out or have been bitten as an intruder, if the dog had been a fierce one, and then that would have been the dog's fault, I suppose. When I said he should have knocked he was completely dismissive and oblivious to having done anything wrong.
A very attractive looking cottage with lovely outdoor seating area. Inside it was very clean and comfortable and the best equipped cottage we have stayed in. The location was ideal for visiting Arundel, Chichester, Littlehampton and many other places.
Faces on to a private courtyard with table and chairs (and grape vine). Very comfortably furnished. Good beds. Everything for a relaxing stay. Country walks on the doorstep and a short drive to loads of things to see and do.
Our stay in the Diary was without a doubt one of the most comfortable experiences away from home. The place is very spacious, with plently of room for four adults. The open plan kitchen with diner and living room made it easy for everyone to socialize while eating and relaxing. The most welcomed feature however was the beds, which were extremaly large and comfortable. Outside there was a large green open space with plenty of nature to watch incl. baby bunnies hanging around the balcony doors. There was plenty of cooking equipment as well as bread, butter, milk and flavoured water left in the ...more
A beautiful place to stay in a very well appointed cottage. The hosts were attentive to our needs, but we’re never intrusive. The cottage came with everything you could need and the added bonus of the farm shop on site meant that fresh food was always available. Will certainly return.
A very good location to do several trips, e.g. to Brighton, Portsmouth, Arundel, Stonehenge, Highclere and to the races at Goodwood (horses as well as the motor circuit). But also the beach is nearby. The cottage is in very good condition, the bed is very comfortable, also for long tall people. The only thing that's a pity is that there's no possibilty to sit outside.
We had a lovely comfortable short break at the cottage, which is set in the delightful old farm grounds and within a few steps of open countryside, and a few minutes drive of walks on the Downs and several excellent pubs. Chichester and Portsmouth were an easy drive. The Cottage had everything we needed and the welcome hamper was perfect and very welcome. Harriet welcomed us and encouraged us to simply ask if we needed help with anything. We would definitely stay again.
We have stayed at this little cottage several times as it’s just perfect for a couple, close to the beach and the village. It has everything you could possibly need provided and has a very relaxing feeling. The owner is so kind, helpful and accommodating we just feel like we are at home. I highly recommend it and will be booking again soon.
Fantastic stay, the run has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Near to amenities but in a beautiful location. We highly recommend!
Seagull cottage is a wonderful place to spend a week or two. There is plenty of space, a lovingly decorated sitting room and upstairs bedrooms with comfy beds. The surroundings are just magnificent. A 10-minute walk to the beach, an endless choice of sightseeing in the area, from Chichester to Arundel. Couldn't be better.
We have stayed at St Faith's four times now. The house is charming, comfortable and well set up for guests. During the second week of our last stay two of our party tested positive for Covid felt unwell and needed to self isolate. Despite this holiday set back they enjoyed the house and took great pleasure from the views over the Cathedral. It feels very special to be staying in the beautiful Cathedral grounds and I looked forward to my daily walk around the Bishop's Gardens. We enjoyed how peaceful the house is but also appreciated living right in the city centre. The team at the Cathedra...more
Tricky location to find but great details from owner. Very peaceful location at the rear of the public school so may be louder in school times. Great little cotage, brilliant wi fi and tv,, no phone signal thought. Really handy for lots of places to visit both beach and inland. Owner responded promptly to a couple of issues and resolved swiftly.
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
Despite this being one of six apartments, the property was very quiet and the sleep quality was good. The location is such that you are in a tranquil area but within easy driving range of various attractions ranging from stately homes to military museums to shopping outlets. Local amenities are good and a few minutes drive away are more substantial outlets. The property is ideal for a short or longer break as there is so much to do in the area.
We stayed at Orchard Mews for more than a week and had a fabulous stay. The house is well located for exploring Sussex and Hampshire. It was comfortable, spacious, and beautifully clean with a lovely garden space. The owners have put a lot of thought into making it inviting with various thoughtful touches. We greatly enjoyed our stay and will return again if we are in the area. The lower grading on customer service is because we ran into some issues with the letting agent --it has nothing to do with the owners who were lovely and very responsive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at West View. The bifold doors in the kitchen diner, and the balcony beyond, afforded an excellent view out over the water which we enjoyed throughout the day. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable holiday. The books and maps provided about the area were appreciated and used on walks aorund the harbour. The apartment was close to amenities without being on top of them and the off-street parking was an added bonus. We are already considering when we can return for a weekend break. Thank you!
The Dairy is an extremely comfortable, well-maintained, clean and spacious property in beautiful countryside.
The property has been sympathetically restored and was very clean. All furnishings and fixtures were of a very high standard with very comfortable beds. It had a lovely garden and was only a few minutes walk from the beach or into town.
We loved the apartment. It is spacious, with comfortable beds, a washing machine and well equipped kitchen. It is in the centre of town, within the walls, with restaurants and pubs nearby.
Just got back from two heavenly weeks at 6 Avocet Quay! Lovely and clean, so well stocked with everything you could need. Plenty of space for the four of us. We have stayed in a few deck houses over the years and this is by far the best. Surrounded by beautiful views, lots of walks and so many things to do close by and further away. Wishing we were still there and we will definitely be back!
The apartment is very clean, well equipped, and in a quiet street. The best part is the sea view from the living area, and the location--steps to the beach. Short walk to shops and cafes and the Hayling Island Railway. Enjoyed our stay (our second) and would come back!
We were pleased with our choice of this property which is very conveniently located in Chichester. Overall the property was clean and tidy with furniture and fittings in a good condition. The balconies needed cleaning up.
Bright & airy, with a lovely view of the countryside from the kitchen window. Private parking. Well designed interior.
A small, charming cottage perfect for 2, in a quiet hamlet- sheep, owls and no artificial light. Delicious lemon cake, fresh eggs and fresh flowers were a lovely touch. We enjoyed our stay, the surrounding area is beautiful. We would recommend an update of crockery and glassware, the assortment of odds and ends was not appealing : a basic set of 4 of everything would be more welcome. Heating and bathroom radiator worked sporadically. Upstairs is small, little drawer space and no dressing table, so drying ones hair was awkward.
Lovely cottage in super location. Unfortunately we were not give full instructions to put on the immersion heater, so cold showers!! (actually the instructions were confusing even when we got them) Can’t fault the cottage though, fab place. Could only be bettered by adding a bbq.
Really enjoyed our stay at Brewery cottage. It was much larger than expected and very comfortable. It was a good base to explore the south coast. Portsmouth historic harbour was our favourite. The Mary Rose was amazing.
Very good setting and comfortable accommodation. Midhurst an interesting and friendly friendly village.
Had a lovely time but master bedroom the mattress needs replacing as springs coming through and settee in lounge very uncomfortable also needs replacing but over all had a lovely time
I booked this house for my 60th so I could have all my family together. 8 adults and a baby. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I needed to move the holiday by 12 months. Henry Adams were brilliant. So professional but also personal. Answered my emails very quickly and professionally. The house was just perfect for us all. It’s larger than it looks in the photos and everyone loved it. Family stayed for 3 nights and then just myself the hubby for 4 nights. As a family we spent most of our time in the kitchen and outside. The garden is stunning, we were very lucky to be there when the bluebell...more
2 Walled Garden was spacious enough and close enough to the beach. Unfortunately the lounge/dining area could do with modernisation. It felt dark, old and carpets were stained. The shower was over the bath was a not very powerful and tricky to wash long hair. The kitchen was bright but the cutlery and crockery was filthy dirty and had to be washed before using. The only dinner plates do not fit into the dishwasher and had to be washed by hand. It was dusty and dirty under all the beds upstairs and the bed linen was old and outdated. The whole place was just a bit grubby all round which was su...more
House is well equipped and maintained, very large and airy kitchen leads to pretty private garden. Found the parking and location to be very convenient - a few minutes walk to the main shopping streets and Festival Theatre.
We've just returned from a week at Still Waters with my extended family. All agreed it was a fantastic location, literally steps from the tidal beach and ten minutes picturesque walk from lovely pub and cafes in Emsworth. The house was large and spacious with plenty of room to eat together inside and out, a huge lounge with three sofas and plenty of beds. The beds were comfortable although we'd have liked the layout to allow for the twin bedded rooms to be used as double beds more easily. Everything we needed was there and the new kitchen and bathrooms were clean and fresh. The garden w...more
We will without question return. The Stables is a beautifully thought out and well appointed cottage. It’s is exceptionally comfortable, from the crisp linens to the plentiful cosy towels. There is plenty outside space, and our hosts made us very welcome, encouraging us to take advantage of their wonderful farm. The cottage is ideally placed for the beaches and surrounding places of interest. It’s so nice to stay somewhere with great appliances and lovely crockery- the hosts have made this a lovely home from home and we have already recommended to friends.
Our family loved this house. It's in a great exclusive location - just next to Chichester Marina. Great summer accomodation with two large, light and airy bedrooms upstairs. Southern England's best beach (West Wittering) is just on your doorstep too. Best holiday wi-fi we've ever had. Would definitley consider booking this cottege again.
Lovely family holiday. Just right for a family of 7. Great location near to the beach. Would definitely come again
Clare the owner was very welcoming and our stay was very comfortable. The views are stunning and it is extremely peaceful. Centrally located for Arundel and Pulborough. The track down to the cottage is very rough so be careful when driving. The property has a wood burning stove if you need heat. Our only comment would be to leave more bath towels as one each for a potential two week stay was a little light. There is a washing machine but no dryer and the towel rails switch off automatically so sometimes it is difficult to dry them. Other than that it is the perfect relaxing getaway.
A lovely cottage close to the seafront. Exceptional quality and one I always stay at when I travel to Bognor. Thanks. Absolutely perfect.
Had a wonderful week. Really enjoyed the stay. Have stayed in bungalow previously, has such lovely views. Good to get away and dogs enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend Pagham.
Lovely and clean house , great location and great agency staff , will book again , thank you for great hospitality
We haved a problem with hot water at arriving and cleanliness of the house. Laura was very efficient and solved the problem the next day. I think the person in charge of cleaning and control the house before our arrival didn't look properly.
Spence Cottage is a lovely property. Warm, cosy and rustic. A lovely garden area. Very well laid out. A great location for a base, a local shop only a 100 yards away. Petrol station very close by too. Well thought out interior, plenty of room in the spacious bathrooms. Great to have a washer AND dryer too. A very comfortable little cottage. The down sides, the cooker was not clean. We ate mostly takeaways and cold food anyway, so it didn't really affect us too much. But, the one use it did get made me reluctant to use it again. Parking, for the 15 days that we were there, it ...more
This is our 3rd stay at Flint Cottage and we love the cottage. We would not hesitate to book again with Henry Adams.
On the positive side, the cottage was very comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The garden was well kept and and very useful for sitting out in the sun. The only negative comment is that the kitchen was lacking a number of necessary cooking utensils. The shape of the only frying pan was such that it was difficult to use on the hob. Also, a sieve would have been useful, as would more than one saucepan! Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and well situated for walking to the centre of Chichester.
Lovely, well appointed and equipped cottage, good location. Booking, payment, info etc efficiently handled. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The owners were very friendly and even presented me with a punnet of their own home grown strawberries, which were delicious. The bed was comfy, shower good, kitchen well equipped, roomy living room. The owners were relaxed and happy with me feeding the birds during my stay. Although I worked a relaxed peaceful stay.
Very pleasant place to stay but several issues.Badly stained mugs on mug tree.No spare loo roll.Only half a roll ! The owner was contacted about a stuck window that we could not open or close and was informed of the other problems.Upon arrival we were struck by the strong smell of dogs and several dog hairs on lounge floor.Attempted to use Hoover but the smell from it was horrendous. We failed to understand why we were instructed not to park outside 87 or 89 Poplar Way when it is stated clearly by the Little Midhurst committee that no one has an allocated parking space.
Check in was very easy. The house is a great size, with a lovely garden and in a very central location , easy to get everywhere . Very good customer service too.
Lovely homely property we were a group of 7 across 3 generations. We have stopped at the property before and enjoyed it. There are however a few things that need sorting. During our stay the ensuite shower head was broken as it kept falling off, the downstairs toilet handle did not work so you had to pull the mechanism manually in the cistern. There were a number of bulbs out and 1 light fitting hanging from the ceiling on the landing. One of the hobs did not work as there was no gas to it and the hinges on the over door need replacing. Having said all that it is a lovely cosy property. it is ...more
We had a wonderful week here. Weather was fantastic and what better than being right on a beach. So lovely to wake up and hear the sea, stunning location. Property was well equipped . So sad when we left. Would definitely return.
Oysters has an unrivalled position on the harbour.Just sitting on the terrace watching the changing tides is a real treat. The property itself does have a few issues which could do with improving. On arrival there was no welcome pack with details of the basics such as how to operate the aga, when to put out the bins etc. The aga needs to go! It makes the kitchen too hot to sit in without the windows wide open.It is also impossible to time the cooking when several items are on the go. The fridge was so cold that liquids were freezing solid and had to be adjusted regularly. With a new cooker...more
We had a lovely time at the cottage. It is nestled in the English countryside, and wonderfully quiet. It was clean, well-equipped, and the garden at the back was great for summer barbecues. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. I would happily stay there again.
We spent a wonderful week in July in the Loft, located just 50m from the gravel beach. With 6 sunny days we were quite lucky. As we cooked every day, just a dish washer was missing (but we knew about that before) - and sharp knives!
The house is very spacious and comfortable, with great views of the beach and coastline from the first floor. We loved the first floor little lounge - with its own dartboard too, and at night you can spot the cruise ships all lit up and lining up on the horizon to enter Portsmouth or Southampton. The kitchen was well equipped - the extra larder fridge in the utility room would be useful if a large family or two families were staying. The door handle on the French doors by the dining table was broken - we reported this to Henry Adams who checked if we needed it repaired during the visit....more
Fantastic view of the sea. Well equipped apartment with comfortable bed and sofa overlooking the beach. Great location for Chichester, Arundel and surrounding areas.
Cottage was well equipped, comfortable and in a lovely siuation. Unfortunately the cleaners had left dirty towels in the washer, dirty dishes in the dishwasher and crumbs left in the kitchen cupboard. Rest of the house was clean. When we informed the agents they were very concerned and said they would double check on the condition of the property before the next occupants.
The location of this properly was amazing. The sea views were fanatic and the living room layout provided a comfortable vantage point to take advantage of them. We would not hesitate to book again! The bench is 30 seconds walk over the road (which is fairly quiet). The sea was great to swim in and was calm throughout our stay. The 1970/80s decor was quirky and functional, just be careful in the kitchen, the draws come all the way out if pulled and this can be dangerous (landing on feet/small children). The vacuum cleaner that was provided also needs a new belt as the brush doesn't spin. I wo...more
Flat is well appointed with state of the art appliances. Plus point is book with manuals for the above. Two small problems -eco flush toilet takes a long time to fill -shower head mount is loose . Neighbourhood is noisy .
I have stayed at Stonesthrow twice, both times off season when it’s quite cold. The flat is cost, warm and well equipped. The location on the seafront with local pubs, take aways and a handy supermarket mean you don’t need a car for the essentials. The second room has bunk beds, so more suitable for children than adults.
Very much enjoyed our stay at 5 Avocet Quay. Beautiful quiet location . Deck house very well equipped and comfortable . Found the walk to Emsworth easily on our first day. Walk through the marina , cross the middle of Slipper Pond !! and come out by the Raglan Arms. Fish and Chips at the Bluebell Inn the best in the world ! Our French Bulldog loved sitting on the balcony in the afternoon sun watching the world go by .
Location was excellent - the beach very close and the estate very quiet. However, we were disappointed that nobody had noticed the head of the walk-in shower was broken. We didn't arrive at the property until the early evening, so we could not contact anyone about this until the following Monday (we could not truly classify this as an 'emergency' although it was very annoying). Having contacted the agents, the problem was subsequently rectified. The bed in the bedroom with the walk-in shower was not up to standard - it was uncomfortable (2 beds pushed together), no mattress protector or...more
It is so very quiet location lovely views love it as my wife lived in emsworth for over 20 yrs so for her to come back is amazing only place that’s not been spoilt , also she is able to entertain her family and friends recommend to everyone
Great location for the beach and high street which has all the shops and restaurants you’d need. Short trip to Chichester and west wittering. The house was very relaxing with nice seating areas, lovely little garden and comfortable beds. Could maybe do with a nice seating area in the garden and BBQ for longer trips in the summer. Overall very happy and would return.
Lovely clean modern flat very comfortable but found the entry stairs to the front door quite slippery In the rain But a lovely stay Good location for beach etc and local shops
The house is well equipped if it was mine I’d want to do some minor repairs but the peeling wallpaper/paint doesn’t spoil your enjoyment and it’s not everywhere (I’m fussy). Smart TVs in lounge and bedroom. Plenty of comfy seating. 2nd bed a bit small and they need to use the downstairs shower room. It was my second stay so none of the above bothered me. It’s a cut above some places I’ve stayed and it’s location is fab and parking for 2 cars a really good selling point.
Found the Property Easy enough. Parking outside the garage was perfect. Just be aware of reversing onto the road. Getting into to the property with the key codes was perfectly OK. Ans easy to achieve. Everything you possibly need is either in the garage or on the cottage!! Which we've never had before when renting a property for a week. Very thoughtful. Gardens were lovely and so is the gardener!! Our only issues were the mattresses are not that comfy what so ever. We played musical beds most nights, until we were in a bed we found comfortable. And the property wasn't that clean. Everything wa...more
The house was in a lovely village with easy access to the beach and Portsmouth. Ideal for our family get together. Couldn’t of asked for anything better for the money.
Parking a nightmare unfortunately. When we arrived at the cottage kitchen bin was half full. Back door mat & area full of leaves/debris, obviously not swept for weeks & no outside table & chairs, which was a shame as it would of been nice to sit out. Shower head was dirty & shower not very good as difficult to stand under in bath. Rest of cottage very clean & homely & location was beautiful being so close to the estuary.
Just back from a week at Springwell Cottage. A cosy, well furnished cottage for 4 people and a dog. Great location for West Wittering beach and other walks or bike rides. The cottage was clean and well decorated. Shower and toilet were separate which was good. Bedrooms perfect size for a weeks stay. Neighbours helpful as there is very limited outside space for hanging clothes, fortunately weather was amazing.
Great place to stay and spacious. Generally clean, but a bit dusty in the corners/ venetian blinds etc. Bed was comfortable but very low - a bit of a struggle to get up from if you are no longer in the first flush of youth! Wardrobe shelves are full of linen - would be great to make at least a couple free for guests to use Service was generally good all via email - but instructions for parking space could be clearer - none of the spaces are numbered and ended up in wrong space as wasn't clear it was actually the one behind the gate. Instructions on driving in, waiting for gate to close etc....more
Church Cottage is a comfortable mid terrace house. It was ideal for 3 adults and a small elderly dog. The patio garden is enclosed so secure for the dog and a suntrap later in the day. The house is tastefully furnished and quite spacious. Considering it is a self catering holiday let, the kitchen could be better equipped with some new baking trays and a saucepans with lids that match. The parking is difficult especially if you return later in the day or choose to go out in the evening. We had to park several streets away on 2 days we were there. We have a saying in Dutch which goes as follows "A blind horse can do no damage here". For us no problem with the dogs and the bad weather. But it will be not everybody's cup of tea.
Excellent location great property really enjoyed the stay. Relaxing and easy going. Close to the beach and village shops
We booked the house for 6 people for a special occasion and were disappointed when we arrived as management had not provided us with enough towels and the property it wasn’t in the best condition; one of the twin beds was broken on arrival and some of the outdoor furniture was either broken or dirty (one of the parasols and the outdoor tables). The property is in a great location and the house is a great space to use, it just needs a bit of TLC.
