A lovely well kept, comfortable and well equipped home. With 5 adults, a teenager and a baby we were very well provided for. We even managed with the one bathroom between us although an en suite would have been lovely. The property is up an outside set of stairs which we managed very well even with a pushchair, I think some people may struggle though so need to be aware of this as it was not clear in the listing. Overall a very good place to stay and not far to travel to the places we needed.
The cottage provided a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings.Tasteful decor and all equipment we needed for our stay.Within easy reach of places to visit. Only sorry when we had to leave. Useful hint shower over bath and to get in might not be so easy for less able bodied.
My stay at this wonderful cosy cottage was almost 3 months. As a photographer and a friend of nature I literally fell in love with this beautiful place surounded by plants, open fields and nice hiking possibilities. The place is clean and friendly my only complaint was the time was too short. The lodge itself is fairly compact but still has a fully kitted kitchen, small dining area (incl. flat screen TV), a decent sized bathroom and 2 bedrooms:. The private rear courtyard is just perfect to have breakfast in the summer. There is also wash room in a small shed across the front carport a...more
10 of us took up residence for a week in this lovely property overlooking the river. The house was amazing, unbelievable comfy and extremely well equipped. The house flowed and provided room for people to get away from others for a quiet read. The bed linen was lovely and the towels fluffy, something that is not always featured in rented property. It was safe for children, had a lovely garden and electric gates with plenty of room for cars on the drive. The owners of the property were extremely helpful, telephoning to make sure everything was OK. All in all everybody had a great week and...more
Lovely cottage on the mill pond. Wonderful big kitchen, dining and living area. Great Emsworth location for walks and for shops and restaurants.
A marvellous place to stay, can't recommend it highly enough Spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated - a real pleasure to stay here
Cottage is with everything in it, all very well, with a beautiful garden what can used by the customers, in a very beautiful area.
I stayed for four weeks at the Dairy and couldn’t have chosen a lovelier place. The setting is idyllic in a beautiful farm yard and surrounded by fields. Accommodation was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The kitchen area had everything that I needed.
The cottage is the perfect place if you look for a remote place in the english countryside. You may even see deer from the bed rooms which have a unique view into the natural scenery. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and comfortable. Sightseeing spots like Petworth House or Arundel Castle are just a few minutes drive away. Last but not least - the landlady Clare is very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect stay for us!
We have stayed at the Orchard previously and cant recommend it highly enough. Living room, bed rooms are all very well equipped, as is the huge kitchen. The garden/outside areas are well kept and maintained, with fantastic views to the rear.
Perfect. Very comfortable. Everything in tip-top condition. Fast internet connection. Parking space available. Henry Adams staff outstanding.
We had a wonderful stay at the old root house. The barn was very comfortable and extremely clean. It is in a great peaceful location. Would definitely stay there again.
If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay with a touch of luxury look no further. Well located, with The Boathouse cafe only a stone's throw away if you don't feel like cooking, No 5 The Salterns is just the ticket for a balanced holiday or short stay, where you can choose to do everything or nothing. Read a book, gaze at the boats, walk, embrace sea air or make use of all the great local facilities if you feel like doing something more energetic. I highly recommend this location.
Comfortable, well appointed and clean. The entire property is very beautiful, in a great location and has parking.
Very clean, well equipped and with reliable internet. Easy to find, and well placed to explore the south coast, only 10 mins away from Portsmouth park and ride. Quiet area and no noise from the neighbours. Communication with the agent was good, and they automatically returned our cleaning/breakage deposit within a week of our holiday finishing. Would have no problems in booking 17 Quinton Fields again.
Lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable. Everything you need in the contemporary kitchen. My only reservation was the sofa which I did not find comfortable, unlike the bed which was lovely and comfortable. All in all a great stay.
Three generations stayed for a week in this unique cottage. There was something for everyone.Location superb. We shall return.
This apartment is very tastefully decorated and very well equipped with all that you need. Towels and linen excellent quality. Lovely location by the marina and walking around the harbour. Boathouse cafe in the marina good too. I would stay there again.
We love the location its right above the Driftwood Cafe. I love just walking downstair for coffee and almond croissant. The location is prefect! You can walk to local markets (Sainsbury and Tesco Metro) and there are plenty of good restaurants near by (rsvp is suggested for most restaurants). The metro train station is 10min walk away and the port is only 5min walk away. We loved the Driftwood property, the decor is really nice, and the multiple levels is very similar to a town house. Our 2yrs and 5yrs old love the place and they love hanging out in the living room area and look out to the big...more
It doesn't get better than this. Not only a fantastic location but the apartment is perfect in every respect. Perhaps a mirror and socket for ladies hairdressing needs in the bedrooms but other than that no complaints. We hope one day to return.
We came to stay for Christmas. We had a warm welcome and came in to find the place had been decorated beautifully for Christmas with a tree with gifts for each of us the table decorated too and a food hamper aswell. We came to stay in the summer and loved it so much came back and had the same fabulous experience we will be back again for sure.
Perfect for our needs. Contrary to expectations it was very quiet. We met a lovely neighbour. We had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed perfect weather.
For our 12 day stays it would be nice to have a system for drying washed clothing. Cant think of where it might be placed but would be a welcome option for our next stay
A pleasant lodge situated in a great rural location. Hosts were very helpful and organised and provide regular clean towels, sheets, etc. Baby/toddler friendly too, with a cot provided and safety equipment. The lodge whilst on the grounds of the hosts home manages to still feel private due to it's positioning against the house. Wifi a little slow presumably due to the rural location but was efficient. TV's in both bedrooms as well as the Lounge. Would thoroughly recommend.
Oldbury Cottage is a very comfortable well located property which is ideal for a short break for two people. The welcome pack was a lovely bonus.
Stayed for a week at the beginning of February, cycling in the South Downs and visiting Chichester. A great cottage, compact (fine for two, but would be tight for four), however there was everything that you would need, warm too. Well equipped and everything worked just fine. The hosts were friendly and there was a good starter pack with some basic supplies. Good off-road parking and a hose (great for a dirty winter cycle). Great location, in the middle of the country but only 4 miles from Chichester and about a mile's walk to the pub in Funtington. Thoroughly recommended, I expect that we ...more
The house was bright, clean and in a good location, away from the hustle and bustle but easy 10 minute walking distance to town centre. Everything in the house was to a high specification from furniture to bedding.
Beautiful countryside with excellent opportunities for longer and shorter hikes. Not too far from the beach (40 km). Pub with good food within 10 min drive, shops further away. Car necessary.
Great place to stay for exploring the Sussex coast. Homely place with all the modern amenities, helpful having the owners close by who were very welcoming without being too intrusive. All in all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any small family who like to get out and about!
Lovely peaceful location. Apartment had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, nice and warm. Only very very slight niggle is the coffee pods that were provided hadn’t been restocked and tissues boxes left empty in the bedrooms. As I say, only very slight niggles and obviously didn’t affect stay. Overall a lovely apartment, great weekend. We shall return.
We had a great holiday with our family in Westhampnett House. We loved this new, very spacious house. It has such a luxurious feel overall. Everything was very well arranged by the owners and Henry Adams. Kitchen basics and some games were available, which is always nice. And even fresh herbs in the garden! We had nice weather during our holiday so we were out much of the day, and visited a lot of things in the neighbourhood (the beach, Weald and downland museum, Chichester Cathedral, Fishbourne ...) but also Beachy Head and Stonehenge, which are only an hour drive away. And after such a...more
I had the pleasure of staying at 2,Hatton House over the summer as I needed to vacate my house to ensure a chain was completed but before my new purchase was ready. Hatton House is a modern 1 bedroom apartment with everything you could wish for from a dishwasher to a washing machine a comfortable bed to a very relaxing living room. Rita and Mike the owners made me feel completely at home from the moment they met me with the keys to the time it came to vacate the property. They left me completely to enjoy my time there but they were also never far away if I needed to contact them. The apa...more
There were many good elements to our Tideways stay in October. It was a very convenient location within Emsworth. The traffic noise was minimal. The parking was not a problem. The house was small, cozy, comfortable and well organized. The management let us back in when we locked ourselves out (on a Sunday) without complaint. For the casual foreign visitor who doesn't want to carry dish and clothes washing powder around with them, a small amount provided would be useful. The only real downfall to this property is the location of the only bathroom as an annexe to the kitchen. This is especially ...more
Despite this being one of six apartments, the property was very quiet and the sleep quality was good. The location is such that you are in a tranquil area but within easy driving range of various attractions ranging from stately homes to military museums to shopping outlets. Local amenities are good and a few minutes drive away are more substantial outlets. The property is ideal for a short or longer break as there is so much to do in the area.
Great enjoyable stay at this property. Very well equipped and comfortable, loved the downstairs bedroom with courtyard. and also balcony on 1st floor
We found New Park Studio was comfortable, with all the conveniences ( such as laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, books, CD's and tourist information). Its location is also convenient: it is a short walk to the shops.
lovely location and the apartment is so nice and very comfortable there is a nice deck area to sit and have a glass of whine to. it is also pretty central to get to surrounding areas
The accommodation had everything we needed. It is very clean, comfortable and quite. Whilst the owners where close (next door) we where not disturbed in the least, not withstanding they where on hand if we needed anything (which we didn't) It Is set in a very quite, peaceful area and there are local shops within 5 minutes from the location. If you need further shopping facilities the town of Chichester is very close and has a very large selection of shops catering for your every need. Additionally there is a beautiful Cathedral in additions to other attractions. David and his lovely wi...more
The house is located in a quited street but very easy to get to the A286 . The around country views are amazing .
This is a great holiday rental, everything you need and all the little extras in the kitchen make it feel like home. The owners have thought of everything. The property does allow pets so not suitable if you are allergic.
The bungalow is tastefully furnished, it lacks bedroom wardrobe and draws in second bedroom which is not good for 2 couples, the cupboard in the hall could be used as a wardrobe very easily with a little thought, it did spoil our visit. The rest of the facilities were very nice. Tv very complicated with 4 handsets to make it usable. Nice situation for walking into Midhurst, and parking off road for the 2 cars was also great.
This was a great choice four our party of seven. Loads of lounge room for us all to sit together, and a dining table that seats 10. The property had three toilets and additional downstairs cloaks so no waiting around. Everything you need in the kitchen is in abundance. Love!t secluded garden, but best of all just a few meters away from the sea shore, for lovely walks , and access to the town and local hostelries.
Was amazing, loved every second of our stay, would recommend to everyone! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As four adults staying in the property, two of us found the beds/bedrooms rather small - if you're a family it would be fine. The two showers are a definite plus and the very spacious kitchen/dining area is a real boon. Lovely garden. All in all a comfortable place to stay
This is the second time we have stayed here within two months and the same ceiling lights and table lights have still not been replaced and are still not working
Compact and comfortable pied-a terre in easy reach of Bognor Regis and Chichester. Well appointed kitchen, and inclusive access to wi-fi is a definite bonus. Looking forward to a return visit once he planned renovations / extensions are complete. Slight negatives : For me the single beds are a bit too short, and I kept finding the duvet on the floor, so I moved to the double bed. The fence beside the car park is not very secure, and tended to flap towards the car in the high winds. I've mentioned these negatives directly to the Pillings.
Very nice, comfortable apartment, well decorated, well equipped with all needed appliances and great location.
Great location on the water but close to the centre of Emsworth. Lovely place with everything you could need. Thanks!
On our arrival we knew we had made a great choice. The barn was clean and comfortable. Everything was high spec from the showers to the kitchen. The underfloor heating was easy to use, the kitchen fully equipped and a fab wood burner. We stayed with our 3 small children and it was very practical. The location was great at the foot of the Downs yet 10 mins to Chichester. We would definitely hope to come back our only issue is them not allowing dogs, we would have loved to have brought our dog.
104 Orchard provided an excellent location affording an easy walking distance to Chichester Center and the rail station. Although we did not hire a car for what was our second visit to Sussex and Goodwood in particular, the lack of convenient parking may be an issue for some. Overall a clean and comfortable for a weekend or extended stay.
This two bedroomed apartment is ideally situated in the centre of Midhurst but at the same time is a quiet and tranquil place. The two bedrooms and bathrooms are kept in very good order, clean and well furnished - with the addition of comfy beds and quality linen and towels. The kitchen has all the expected appliances and the sitting room is large with good furnishings and a table which will sit 6 comfortably for meals. I would highly recommend booking Angel Yard for any family wishing to tour/visit the South Downs area. Excellent value for money, as opposed to using hotels, through an effi...more
We loved our stay at the Salterns ( 2nd week of June) The location was fantastic and the views from all windows was excellent. It was fantastic weather which of course helped a lot!! The standard of the apartment was very high quality and just wished we could have stayed longer!!
Pleasant cottage in a lovely area. Owner extremely helpful. Good facilities, Recommended for walkers.
January 2018 We found the cottage to be clean and well equipped. Many lovely walks nearby. We would definitely recommend this comfortable property, 3 bathroom to 3 bedrooms - a great bonus.
Excellent location, nice walks, good food at The Boat House. Accommodation was excellent very clean and comfortable. Will be returning.
We were a bit disappointed that on arrival the heating wasn't working, but with a phonecall to the owner that was sorted very quickly. Also lack of comfy seating for six adults was a slight disappointment, but overall we had a lovely stay at the property. Beds very comfy, underfloor heating in kitchen very cozy and with the owner dropping off logs for the open fire that also made for a delightful stay over a chilly and snowy Christmas!
We had 3 stays over a 5 month period while we were doing building works at our house. Every time we found the house very clean and tidy. A nice welcome hamper (with a bottle of wine) was always a nice way to kick the stay off. Location wise its close to both Woking, West Byfleet and Heathrow so was extremely convenient. Coleen was very responsive and very helpful, even letting us stay a week and a half longer on short notice. The whole experience was great especially with teh stress of living out of our house for 6 months. We really enjoyed our stay in Lynwood and would highly recommend it!
Lovely cottage with a stunning garden. Very peaceful. Felt like it was a much loved home as opposed to an anonymous rental. Would happily return.
Really nice flat! The bathroom could be a little bit more user-friendly ;-) (shower can be only half-closed, no shelves or hooks to deposit your stuff near the washbasin). But apart from that everything was really good. Much space, very nice interior decoration, clean and at a perfectly central postion in Chichester.
We were a family of 4 staying for 5 nights in August. The accommodation was very comfortable and roomy. The beds were a good size, everything you need in the kitchen (no dishwasher but it did not matter). Good shower and bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you..
My ladies were very happy and comfortable, which gave me peace of mind as I'd booked it for them, due to a double booking in my property.
Ideal location right at the heart of the city, in a quiet cosy courtyard. The apartment itself was modern and pristine, the furnishings and decor, stylish and comfortable. I was so grateful for a bed with a quality mattress, making every night a perfect sleep, the kitchen was also modern with nothing lacking. It's probably a good idea to be aware beforehand that as a second floor apartment there's no outdoor space, no access to a garden or a balcony. Also, the owners have an office which is essentially a sectioned off room belonging to the apartment, and are around in the daytime, which sort o...more
We haved a problem with hot water at arriving and cleanliness of the house. Laura was very efficient and solved the problem the next day. I think the person in charge of cleaning and control the house before our arrival didn't look properly.
Very helpful secretary. A bit unsettling as the owner has sold and moved out of the big house during our stay. TV too small for such a big room!
The owners of the Toll House had provided well for us 6 adults and 2 infants. Kindly leaving children's toys, plus some fresh fruit, milk and wine in the fridge (very welcome after a long journey). The quirkiness of The Toll House itself was a delight and we were only sorry we did not have an opportunity to meet the owners to thank them. As people who own and let a holiday property ourselves, we know how much work goes into getting a place ready for guests and it was much appreciated by us all. The Aga was a learning curve, but one the chefs amongst us enjoyed! This particular trip was t...more
Fabulous location, great pub next door...internally Oysters could benefit from some modernisation but this should not detract form the overall experience which was excellent
Beautiful house and garden, great that garden is secure for visiting dogs. The location is great easy 10 minute walk to the beach. The house is old fashioned, I have marked this down on comfort. The single mattresses have seen better days very uncomfortable for adults to sleep on. Also the smaller chairs in the lounge are also uncomfortable. I would recommend this to others but would point out the lack of comfort
Nice roomy house for 6 people. Good size bedrooms, lovely size garden - just be careful playing football that the ball does not go in the stream. Chairs in the lounge were a big hit! Small minus point is the shower - need to make sure there is no water and pressure loss out of the tube under the console. Good wi-fi.
Spent a fabulous weeks holiday at Kalami. Accommodation very clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there. Location was excellent - walking distance from the beach, local shops and restaurants. Great walks along the beach - would definitely book here again.
We had the best time staying at the cottage. The only thing i will change are the cleaning of the carpet and the sleep covers of the sofas, wich have seen a better life.
We've just spent a wonderful week in this property, we were 3 couples and 1 single. There wasn't a 2nd set of keys for us to use as indicated in the house details and I have to admit we struggled with the key safe, height, getting the keys to stay in the safe and to close it then, plus the prickly shrubbery next to it. One of the sofa chairs was a bit lumpy and lobsided ,( the one immediately in the lounge) . Lack of wardrobes in 2 of the bedrooms meant We had 5 people using the the main bedroom wardrobe. Also lack of any mirror close to a socket for doing hair in every room. The property w...more
The accommodation was very large, nice arranged and very quite located. But the cleaning company did a very poor job. After complaining dirt (traces of former users) and spider nets (inside and outside) the company came again - unfortunately with the same result.
We stayed at Truffle Cottage in February, it was lovely and cosy and the perfect get away from the building work that was going on at home It had been lovingly restored with every creature comfort and yet it kept its old world charm Would love to go back in the summer and enjoy a glass of wine in the garden!
It was a lovely, very comfortable cottage in beautiful surroundings. We will definitely be back some time.
I stayed in No1, Cathy's own flat,as she had mistakenly double booked No 2. It was very comfortable & Cathy made me very welcome & let us use all her equipment.
The best thing about this house is it's excellent location, close enough to the beach you can taste the salt in the air. Big + for fast internet connection and lots of home equipment like washing machine, dishwasher and much more.
The location is FIVE STAR and Pagham a delightful spot. It is not really a cottage, but a much loved 'family gathering' second home, I would guess. We had a wonderful week together...son and grandchildren. I would like to stay again...so that says it all really. Thank you very much.
This is the second time here and we will be back again. Really quiet location but handy to get into Goodwood, Chichester and the coast. Comfortable apartment with everything you need
We thought the apartment was absolutely delightful and very clean and comfortable. However the peaceful tranquillity was spoilt for the last two days of our stay by some very noisy and inconsiderate people staying either side of us .They were talking very loudly on the terrace until late and slamming doors which disturbed our sleep. So although very nice, one is at the mercy of whoever is staying in the apartments at the same time. This needs to be addressed .
We were only 11, so there was plenty of room, and we didn't need the twin room on the way to the dairy. This felt damp as it rained into the veranda; coats on the hooks got wet. The next two rooms on the way to the dairy are comfortable but in fact a corridor which could be inconvenient (though not to us). All the rooms in the farm house were good and comfortable. The snooker table in the barn was not usable as it sloped to one end. We never recommend anything to anyone as they need to find out for themselves. The "No" in the next section is not a criticism of the property.
There are loads of beautiful walls directly from your door. Plenty of amenities in Midhurst, good pubs, cafes and restaurants.Fantastic location. Some evenings there were people in the park, opposite, who were quite noisy. This did not bother us. House cleanliness could be improved, eg old food in fridge, used dishcloths left, bin not clean, stains on several chair covers. Bathrooms newly renovated and very clean, Generally felt a bit of a tired property.. Overall a good choice for a walking holiday and I would stay again.
We rented The Barn for seven nights as a venue to host a family gathering for our daughter's wedding. It was a very suitable location for such an event being spacious and well laid out. It was clean, generally well supplied with necessary equipment, crockery etc., bedding was comfortable and overall we were pretty happy with our experience. However, there were some problems that need to be addressed with some urgency; 1. The walk-in shower on the ground floor delivered scalding water and represented a serious risk to children/infants and was in fact quite a problem even for an adult t...more
We stayed at Downgate Villa for a family Wedding nearby. We found that it was very cosy with great natural light.
Beautiful house with lovely garden. 3 double beds and 4 single beds so great for a big group like we were. And house has got everything you need. Only the double bed in the garden house was quite uncomfortable and only suitable for 1 person, not a couple. But the other beds in the main house were great. In terms of the location please note that the map on the ad is very misleading, it shows the house being in Eartham and we thought we could walk to the local pub in 5 mins. It is actually 5 mins drive/40 mins walk north of Eartham! so don't expect to be able to walk anywhere. Also we found it o...more
Overall the house was ok, clean and great location. Personally i think a little work could be done with regards to the holiday letting side, no welcome manual, so no instruction on how to use the shower, heating, etc. and details on where is good in the local area, for dining and sight seeing. We were staying for nearly 2 month as relocating to the area, so for this length of stay, further items were needed, the hoover is hard to use, no mop provided for cleaning the wood effect floors. Only 1 door key. parking can be a little tricky in the cul de sac, no selected parking bay.
This house is in a very quite location but only a short walk from Emsworth. There are however, two things that need to be corrected in this house. The first is the mattresses, they are so soft that I think they need to be replaced, after a few nights I was sleeping on the floor. The second item is the upstairs toilet seat, it needs the attention of a competent handyman. Would I stay here again, probably not.
Our family group of 10 spent a long weekend enjoying the seaside and surrounding area. Fishermans Cottage provided plenty of space for us to relax indoors and the facilities provided were excellent. The first floor sitting room with views of the beach was lovely. This would be a great location at all times of the year. Highly recommended.
Although we loved the location of West Mount Cottage and the welcome pack was very thoughtful, the 2 most crucial items in this property were sadly lacking. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (my husband suffers with a bad back and was in agony by the middle of our stay), and no relief could be found on the sofas as they also lacked any support whatsoever. No dishcloth (I bought one), mop and bucket, broom, vacuum or toilet brush were provided so any cleaning was almost impossible. I would suggest the beds and sofas be replaced to ensure a comfortable stay for future guests and more facili...more
At the allotted time of 15:00 my wife and I entered the property and found things to be in a very poor state. The curtains in the three main rooms were closed and the whole property was in relative darkness and far from welcoming. In the bedrooms the beds were unmade and untidy. In the kitchen there were food scraps on the table and the lavatory needed flushing. The agents were made aware of the problems and we waited for people to come and clean the property. A further wait was necessary for different people to bring the bed linen. At 17:30 the property was finally clear for us to bring ou...more
Excellent location - it has its own parking and is within a 10 minute walk from West Wittering beach; a wonderful unspoilt sandy beach. Nicely decorated and in good condition - neutral décor and wooden flooring. We thought the property was perhaps a little smaller than we expected from the pictures. It probably lends itself better as a location to stay for a couple, or during the summer. The kitchen was equipped with decent quality items such as the toaster, kettle and blender and the vacuum cleaner ensured we could clean up any sand bought back from the beach(!). It was also helpful to...more
This was our second stay at this property, which is ideal for us and our two dogs. Being less than 50 metres from the shoreline and public footpaths makes it very easy for walking the dogs. Emsworth town, with its many pubs and restaurants, is no more than a 10 minute stroll, which makes the location of Avocet Quay excellent for our needs. The "pod" itself is "Tardus" in nature (ever expanding), very comfortable and ideal for a relaxing break.
Marlyn is very convenient for Chichester city centre and theatre on foot. The location is quiet, and well placed in Grayling Park. There was everything we needed for our self catering stay in the apartment and all the information we needed was to be found in the folder. The apartment was comfortable.
Originally booked the property for a party of 5 adults and 2 small dogs but due to health issues only myself, my wife and our small dog stayed so we had all the bedrooms to choose from. Furnishings were more than adequate and very comfortable, especially the large double bed in the main bedroom, undoubtably the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. We've stayed in similar properties all over the UK but have never stayed anywhere that's been so comprehensively equipped. This is a huge credit to the owners Helen & Dave as there wasn't a single thing we could have wanted that wasn't th...more
We stayed at this apartment for just over a week. The apartment looks just like it does in the photos. It is modern, on the ground floor & has no grass garden, just a small gravel area at the back. The cleanliness of the apartment was only just acceptable. Bathroom mirror wasn't properly cleaned, the 2 bedroom carpets should be professionally cleaned or replaced, I did try to hoover them but the 2 hoovers in the apartment where not great. The kitchen/living area needed a good hoover too. The kitchen sink hadn't been properly bleached. Now I will admit that that I am fussy and some of these thi...more
Our stay was for 2 weeks. The house itself is beautiful, nicely renovated with a sun trap back garden. Parking outside for one car very comfortably, 2 is tight. The living room/ dining room is a good space with a large tv. The kitchen is small but has good appliances. It could use a washer/dryer for the laundry rather than just a washing machine. We got lucky with the weather so the clothes lines worked for us. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses, cutlery and utensils. The main bedroom is lovely, the second is snug with the 2 beds and has very little draw space. The big negative for ...more
The house was very beautiful. Everything was correct like in the description. All in all a perfect location to have a stay with two persons. The host was really friendly and helpful. If there are any questions you can ask her and she'll help you. At arrival there was already tea and sugar in the kitchen and Lillian offered us to bring us some milk. There are three supermarkets in the city and you can reach everyone by foot. The little terrace is beautiful and If you have nice weather you can sit outside, relax and enjoy the lovely garden. Our 3rd visit. The kitchen is now lacking in some areas - the oven and knives in particular. WiFi is poor. Otherwise, we had a good stay.
Was so looking forward to our week in Emsworth but standard of accommodation was sadly lacking, not at all what we expected.
Position good although reading the notes and viewing pictures I thought this cottage was overlooking the prom. The cottage was not very clean. The rug in lounge very dirty. I don't think any cleaning has been done under the beds (see bunk room) the ironing board was left out in lounge. The kitchen bin has a banana skin in so that wasn't cleaned. The bathroom cabinet too low so that you bump head when rinsing mouth or washing face. The extractor in bathroom not working so mould on tiles and very damp. When window open the builders can see in as their ladder was outside. The wardrobe in the bunk...more
The cottage is excellently located just a couple of minutes walk from the seafront and the excellent Lobster Pot cafe. Our children (12&9) were very safe on their bikes to cycle through the park across the road to the promenade. The accommodation is cozy but was a little musty especially in the kitchen area. The kitchen was well appointed and equipped for holiday style cooking. It would have been helpful to have somewhere inside to dry clothes etc as the weather was quite wet during our stay. Our girls loved their bedroom and found the bunk beds comfortable. The bathroom is through the main...more
Very comfortable stay , had everything there we needed . Good location nice beach , Good shops and takeaways in village and nearby pubs nice food and dog friendly .
Located close to Chichester, but somewhat difficult to find. You are pretty much in your own when you arrive, with little to no introduction to the property.
The bed was uncorfortable and the apparment is good but no like the pictures that show in the web site.
