This is the second time we have stayed at Zinc apartment. The location is excellent with a short walk to the beach and town. The apartment is well equipped and clean. The secure area at the front was ideal for our dog. Highly recommended.

We found this Gem 2 years ago this is our second 2 week visit. Perfect terrace for us and the Dog to people watch and see the views of the sea and the golf course, have lunch on the patio or watch the sun go down with a bottle of wine. Lounge is comfy and kitchen well designed with everything you might need. Plenty of storage space in the hall way and a washer dryer that works will. The master bedroom has plenty of wardrobes and drawers, and the little balcony is lovely. The second bedroom I use as my dressing room but the beds are full size singles on the bunks. With two great bathrooms you have plenty of room. The agents we book through are always very helpful and accommodating. We have booked again for next year and also sneaked another break in toward the end of the summer. We love it!

I don't often leave reviews, but I thought this apartment warranted the time to do it as it was fantastic. The location in Newquay was great - close to Fistral Beach but within walking distance to the supermarket and town to make it convenient but not too close. The layout of the apartment was perfect with having the two bathrooms and the living room far enough away from the kids bedroom to let them settle in the evening without interruption. The outside space at the front of the apartment, we enjoyed in the morning and evening to watch people pass by and enjoy some of the sunshine. The beds in both bedrooms were really comfortable and clearly had decent mattresses on the beds. Having the parking space was a bonus as parking in Newquay is not always easy and the outside tap for washing down wet suits and surf boards was really useful. Having the washing machine and drying rack was also really handy. I've recommend this property to anyone considering a break in Newquay. Not often do you find properties of such a high quality that are dog friendly. We'll definitely be back.

This was our 4th time staying at zinc apartments and our first time in number 11. The apartment had everything we needed and was spotless when we arrived. Thank you for such a great stay.

A perfect stay only spoiled by the Cornish parking mafia £100 for not displaying a permit (had blown to the side of the seats) even though the car was in the correct bay and a fob required to enter the car park Really??? it seems the whole apartment block has sold out beware.

We arrived at the Zinc apartment late on Sunday 21st November, following the instructions on the email we were soon to learn that we had been given the wrong code for the outside gate to be able to get the key, once we managed to get in the gate and get the key the instructions to get to the apartment were a little confusing we thought that you would be able to get to the apartment from the garage, we made a quick phone call to the phone number provided and the lady was lovely and told us that we had to access the apartment from the front of the building, once in the apartment was lovely and clean and nice and warm. The apartment is looking a little tired but it was nice and clean and we made ourselves comfortable, we had a lovely week away and would definitely return, we did look to book for the same week next year but the apartment has nearly doubled in price.

Just returned home from a 7 night stay in Newquay Cornwall the apartment was very
close to Fistral beach and about 10 minute walk to the town. apartment was very clean and had all the amenities you could
think of except Sky which I think is a must
In all holiday apartments, very nice front
terrace for our dogs to chill out on bedrooms very spacious on suite was excellent plus a bathroom. will definitely be
booking another stay there.

I've stayed at several of the apartments in Zinc and this is a mediocre one. The best aspect of it is the patio at the front although you need to get used to the amount of people passing continually. Overall the place was clean and tidy and, while the pandemic meant the removal of some of the 'nice to have' additions, some of the basics need looking at too. The blinds were broken when we arrived and, while not a problem for most of the day, at night it was a pain with so many people walking past and looking in. When we reported it we found out this was already known - but it wasn't getting fixed immediately and no-one thought it would be a good idea to tell us. To be fair after two visits from a local blind company it did get fixed, but that was day 5. Also, when I mentioned the crockery was a bit mismatched and incomplete, I was told that the new crockery etc. was in the store cupboard - but the cleaning staff must have forgotten to put it out before we arrived. There were a few other minor niggles too but nothing to spoil the holiday.
The real problem with Zinc is the car park - it is a mystery to me why the owners operate a private company to administer the spaces but it is a bringer of misery that we fell foul of. Be warned, if your pass it not immediately visible (ours was in the side of the door but visible in the photo they sent us) then you will get a ticket - even though it is a private car park and you need a special fob to get in. Oh, and they won't bother to check who's car it is, that's too much work - I mean, everyone has a fob for Zinc's private car park don't they?

All in all it was a nice place and an ideal location if you want the beaches or town centre.

We dispute your comments as follows: Yes, there was an issue with the blinds but unfortunately the company could not get the parts due to supply chain issues which was clearly explained to yourselves. With regard to the car park you are clearly advised to display the parking permit clearly and in full on the dashboard, not in the side of the door, so the parking company who also run all of the other apartment building blocks would issue a ticket if the rules are not adhered to. We have taken note of the crockery comment and passed that back to the housekeeper and owner to look at.

Everything was fine except checking in. Arrived just after 5pm went to the key lock no key. This was a concern as we were parked on the double yellow lines. So as we could not enter the apartment we could not park our car.

We spoke to some on site and they let us in to the underground car park.

We called the number on the booking information and the lady said she would come out.

She came as soon as possible baring in mind it is now 6pm and let us in the keys were on the table. You would have thought the cleaner would have noticed and put the key in the key lock saving us less hassle as we had been driving for over 5hours.

The curtain rail was broken so the binds stayed partly closed the whole week this was the patio windows so we had to just leave the front door open.

Paying what we paid we thought it would have been easy to check in and less inconvenient. We did place the keys back in the key lock when we left.

Maybe for future reference this could be checked when the place is cleaned.

I would recommend and hopefully non one else has a problem checking in

Lovely big apartment, fresh, clean and spacious.
Amazing location as we normally stay on opposite side at Pentire.
Huge patio area which our dog loved, with all people going past giving him attention.
Clean bedding provided for second week of holiday and all utilities you need.
Think the dog was holiday sick when we got home more than us.

No real issues.

Would have been nice to have more comfortable seating outside, i. e. Sun loungers.

Garage door was constantly open. Not the best security.

Overall we were really impressed with 11 Zinc - Great location and good access to both the beach and town. We marked down in a couple of areas where a few small changes would have improved our experience. Value for money - we marked down slightly here as prices of all property seem inflated this year and owners appear to be taking advantage of the current situation with the pandemic. As an example we stopped in this same property a few years before at a similar time of year and paid half what we had to this time. We marked down slightly on condition as the apartment is starting to look a little run down and there were weeds growing all in front of the property (my partner removed these if you were wondering). The key safe to acces the keys was particularly stiff which made us think initially we had the wrong code to access. Also the wrong code was provided for one of the gates which caused us issues upon leaving. In summary we love Newquay and this apartment is in a great location so we wouldn’t let any of these smaller issues affect our decision to return. A few small changes and it would be perfect.

Also Newquay has become a real hot spot and fashionable with developers and investors as for years the town been in the shadows of Padstow, Rock and Watergate Bay. Not any more with the sandy beaches, watersports and safe society taking over big time. We will advise the owner about the keysafe, and the internal aspect of the apartment as he is keen to keep the property updated.

We spent a week at 11 Zinc and would definitely return. The apartment is really spacious with everything you need for a comfortable home from home stay. The location is a short walk from the Fistral Beach, shops, restaurants, bars etc. The terrace is great and having a parking space was a huge benefit as parking is not easy in the area!

We were over the moon with this accommodation. The views were marvellous. The service we received from Joanna couldn’t be faulted she is definitely an asset to Self Cater Cornwall Holidays Limited. We stayed for 14 nights and she even contacted me to make sure we had received our clean linen half way through the holiday. I will definitely book another holiday there again through Self Cater Cornwall Holidays.
