The place was great and comfortable great to use the tennis courts and pool and the lovely chap upstairs was great and help us with our few questions so a big thanks to him. It probably the best apartment in the block having stayed at different ones before. We will return for sure

Small but comfortable apartment very close to beach. Comfy beds. Kitchen fine, fairly well equipped. Table too big for the space which makes it a squeeze to get past. Nice sitting area for family. Could do with more storage eg hooks on back of doors, no where to hang wetsuits etc. We didn't use the pool but looked lovely. Bit of a pain if staying there with a dog as you can't let them outside. Also feels like the permanent residents are watching your every move; my parents and sister's kids came round for an indoor drink and snack on the first afternoon and within an hour there was a complaint made to Self Cater Cornwall, who left me a voicemail to ask for an explanation. Didn't feel very friendly. Also the caretaker is constantly reminding you of the rules, and tells you off if you do the slightest thing wrong, such as forgetting to close the chain to the car park. It felt a bit irritating.

We wouldn't book again but overall a nice enough apartment, expensive for the size and standard but position so close to the beach was great.

Further to your comments it was made very clear to us by an elderly resident that one of your party was extremely rude to him after he used the private car park as his toilet. The apartment had lots of people coming and going with dogs when the apartment is sutable for four guests only. We requested a call back from yourself to discuss the situation which you didn't do and in the circumstances we will not be inviting you back into our properties.

Good will and support means we look forward to coming again next year

Have stayed in this flat before a few years back, pre Covid and were very comfortable. This time we missed the carpet in the sitting area that had added a warm comfort visually and physically for us. Beds very comfortable and snug and generally the flat suited our needs, those of one with a disability with mobility problems and of children. Location excellent, access to lovely countryside, beach, shops, mini golf and eateries
Regardless of weather this is a lovely place to stay.
However on this stay there was a maintenance problem that proved difficult to resolve quickly at grass root level. The letting agent quickly got to terms with the situation and it was efficiently sorted. The owner of the flat reached out to us early on and sort to mitigate the affect on our holiday and their good will and support was much appreciated. We ended the holiday on our usual upbeat benefit of time in Mawgan Porth and at Europa Court.
The Covid pandemic has created quite difficult situations and shortages of service personal and we understand that this is a difficult time should emergencies arise. We look forward to returning next year

As you say, with the plumbing issue revealed just on the weekend jointly with the Owner we liased with you quickly and it was resolved in two days as a part had to be ordered. The Owner sent you a cash payment for the inconvenience you experienced. Also, as a very valued and regular customer we will arrange a discounted stay next time. We look forward to your return in 2022.

Great Location - limitations Dog Owners need to be aware of

The apartment is in a fantastic location - only minutes from the beach.

The apartment itself is fine - possibly showing a little wear and tear often seen at the end of the season.

As mentioned in other reviews - it does appear prone to damp - but the owners have supplied two good quality dehumidifiers to counteract this.

Most utensils are provided - and it is a comfortable apartment - with parking across the road from where the site is located. You can park your car opposite the apartment when unloading and loading.

Our biggest issue is that the apartment is advertised as Dog Friendly - it does allow dogs, but the apartment block is anything but dog friendly. Dogs are banned on the grass outside the apartment - which made it very difficult for us, as we couldn't even open the patio doors to enjoy the weather for fear of the dog going on the grass. Similarly it makes it very difficult if your dog needs to relief itself during the night (or indeed at any point) as you have to leave the complex for it to do this. I can understand the residents of the apartment block having these rules - and we even spoke to one of the owners who admitted that the block isn't particularly dog friendly. But the limitations should be clearer in the advert,

If you aren't going with a dog - I would recommend the apartment as it is in a fantastic position - if you have a dog, please be aware of the limitations.

We did have occasion to ring the housekeeper - as the television had no reception - but they didn't answer. However - the reception issues must have been weather related, so we didn't need to follow up on this.

On a final note - Self Catering Cornwall were very good - with good communication at all times.

Thank you for your Review of No.3 Europa Court. We will answer your observations point by point as they are not totally accurate: The Owner is making improvements in the winter months as dogs do create wear and tear as you would know. There is damp sometimes but mainly in the winter months and the appliances rectify this issue. With regard to your main observation on not being very dog friendly, like all complexes there is a mixed use with private residents and holiday lets and not everyone likes dogs. However, it is not unreasonable to expect dog owners to take their pet across the road to do their business. Most dog owners do not have an issue with this request. Thank you for your kind comment on our customer service. There is a signal issue in Mawgan Porth so this probably explains the non contact. We would love to see you return again next year.

We all enjoyed our stay. Pool was a welcome change from the beach. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Didn’t spot the ice packs in freezer til the last day - would have been good when we took food/drink to the beach. Welcome pack was a lovely touch too. Thank you.

Well equipped ground floor flat with plenty of storage and good wifi. Very short walk to the shops and the beach. In a residential block with a small pool (open 9-7) and tennis courts with permanent residents who take pride over the appearance of the place so you need to be respectful of the rules.

Overall our stay was enjoyable but I did not like the electric heaters in the property. It felt a bit cold and damp throughout our stay.
I wasn’t aware that the property does not have a dishwasher, which was a downside for us.

The electric heaters are efficient as they are tested annually. We are discussing a dishwasher with the Owner following comments from guests like yourself. This is a lovely property. Close to the action of Mawgan Porth. Agents very helpful. Random; but this one has a washing machine, but no dishwasher. Other Europa flats seem to have a dishwasher, but not the washing machine. Pool not open until 1 May. Tennis court is really good. For the last couple of summers, there had been a lot of nearby building work and traffic passing close to the windows. That has stopped ad the work is complete.
