Dalraddy Holiday Park was established in 1968. It covers 39 hectares of what was originally heather moor land. The park currently contains 82 fully serviced traditional static holiday caravans, 6 fully serviced wooden chalet style caravans, 67 fully serviced wooden chalets, 36 pitches for touring caravans and facilities for up to 50 tents making us one of the largest caravan and camping sites in the area. The park also sells static caravans and chalets and acts as a letting service for owners that includes cleaning.
Services on the park include a licensed shop; which provides a retail outlet for estate produce, acts as a booking agent for activities and has a computer with free Wi-Fi. There is also a launderette, children's play park and a recently refurbished central toilet block with under- floor heating.
There are an array of activities to enjoy which are available on the Alvie and Dalraddy estate such as Quad biking,1.5 km zip wire course, horse riding, fishing, gorge walking, paintball, bush craft survival courses, clay pigeon shooting, archery and stag feeding. You can even learn about the environment and history of the estate by enjoying a guided tour .
A really pleasant chalet with excellent accommodation and wonderful open views of the Cairngorms. The woodburning stove made the chalet feel (very) warm and welcoming, and the internal sauna was greatly enjoyed. It was a fantastic base for a stay in the Cairngorms. Access to Aviemore for shopping was easy, and the Dalraddy Caravan Park has good facilities, including a small shop. The chalet has a lovely terrace - would love to see what it is like in summer. Cooking facilities were good, the chalet was warm, and it made a great holiday location.
The caravan was adequate for the two of us very clean bed comfortable and shower very good .My only complaint there was not enough storage or anywhere to hang coats up but despite that I would recommend the caravan for a short break .lovely and quiet at that time of year .
Comfortable chalet. Bed in the second bedroom is small double so was a bit uncomfortable sharing. Has beautiful views from the decking. We saw deer just outside our chalet one night which delighted the kids! Enjoyed the flat cycle path to Kincraig but didn’t manage the whole hilly one to Aviemore. The shower can be a bit temperamental and blows hot and cold at times. Wasn’t too expensive especially given school holidays so good value for money. Chalet 21 is right at the edge of the holiday park so feels very secluded
Excellent site and plenty of room between pitches. We stayed at the top end in the trees on the way up and was lovely and quiet. We stayed at the bottom end of the site on the way back which seemed typical of a caravan park with swing park of the kids, archery, quad bike riding a large shower block and lots of statics. There was a large area for tents with extra dotted about in the trees. All in all an all round site that caters for everyone. Will go back.
Fine as above comments, however just a wee tip for the cleaner to make sure cooker switched on. Test shower before customers arrive.
Owners must have been rather annoyed being contacted twice in a week. Especially after a long time in static not being used.
Booked 2 adjacent tent pitches for 3 nights to explore Aviemore and surrounding are with two young kids. Very good location for our trip(s) to highland wildlife park and the green loch as well as having dinner in Aviemore it’s self. Site was immaculate, staff were very friendly/helpful and toilet/shower blocks were very clean with plenty of hand sanitizer on entry points. Bbq /fire pit areas were well stocked with logs. Kids had a great time as did the adults. Will definitely be back
Fab campsite showers toilets and kitchen were cleaned alot no shortage of hand sanitatizer staff friendly and helpful wonderful secluded spaces making social distancing perfect! Definitely be back thank you
On arrival we were very impressed with the spacious layout of the park. All of the chalets looked gorgeous in brown until we pulled up outside what we christened the 'ugly duckling'! From the outside chalet 40 looked very oldand tattered and in need of a lick of paint. Once we got inside however out ugly duckling turned into a swan :). Very well appointed with all mod cons, we loved it. Back door needs the lock replacing as its a nightmare to lock it, apart from that we loved chalet 40. Even saw 2 deer wander across the grass behind the chalet one evening. Picturesque setting would recommend i...more
