Dalraddy Holiday Park was established in 1968. It covers 39 hectares of what was originally heather moor land. The park currently contains 82 fully serviced traditional static holiday caravans, 6 fully serviced wooden chalet style caravans, 67 fully serviced wooden chalets, 36 pitches for touring caravans and facilities for up to 50 tents making us one of the largest caravan and camping sites in the area. The park also sells static caravans and chalets and acts as a letting service for owners that includes cleaning.
Services on the park include a licensed shop; which provides a retail outlet for estate produce, acts as a booking agent for activities and has a computer with free Wi-Fi. There is also a launderette, children's play park and a recently refurbished central toilet block with under- floor heating.
There are an array of activities to enjoy which are available on the Alvie and Dalraddy estate such as Quad biking,1.5 km zip wire course, horse riding, fishing, gorge walking, paintball, bush craft survival courses, clay pigeon shooting, archery and stag feeding. You can even learn about the environment and history of the estate by enjoying a guided tour .
The van was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The heating worked well and the shower was to die for. Only downside which could be easily remedied was a complete lack of hooks for coats, tea towels and only than one small towel ring per bathroom. We will definitely return but with a drying rack!
A really pleasant chalet with excellent accommodation and wonderful open views of the Cairngorms. The woodburning stove made the chalet feel (very) warm and welcoming, and the internal sauna was greatly enjoyed. It was a fantastic base for a stay in the Cairngorms. Access to Aviemore for shopping was easy, and the Dalraddy Caravan Park has good facilities, including a small shop. The chalet has a lovely terrace - would love to see what it is like in summer. Cooking facilities were good, the chalet was warm, and it made a great holiday location.
Comfortable chalet. Bed in the second bedroom is small double so was a bit uncomfortable sharing. Has beautiful views from the decking. We saw deer just outside our chalet one night which delighted the kids! Enjoyed the flat cycle path to Kincraig but didn’t manage the whole hilly one to Aviemore. The shower can be a bit temperamental and blows hot and cold at times. Wasn’t too expensive especially given school holidays so good value for money. Chalet 21 is right at the edge of the holiday park so feels very secluded
Fine as above comments, however just a wee tip for the cleaner to make sure cooker switched on. Test shower before customers arrive.
Owners must have been rather annoyed being contacted twice in a week. Especially after a long time in static not being used.
Such a great facility. Clean modern toilets and showers, brilliantly sized pitches, beautiful location, great on site catering and activities, certainly one of the very best we have stayed at. Good work.
The chalet was in a wonderful location. Although the site was busy you never felt that you were in a crowded holiday park. The site has been well thought out no one intruding on you. Plenty of walks around the park and plenty of things to do for all ages.
Family group 9 year to 67 year old stayed for 1 week and enjoyed every minute. Chalet was comfortable and big enough if you wanted some space to yourself. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. 5 STAR.
Good park, helpful staff.
Individual pitches really good, surrounded by trees, suitable for very large tents. Lots to do in the area. Great for walking and cycling.
Wee bit of road noise from A9 but sorted by ear plugs. Have been before, and have already booked for a family camping trip next year.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Dalraddy campsite. The facilities are excellent, very well kept grounds. Very Good size pitches. We loves the surrounding area. Great for families or couples. Not too noisy. We will be back.
On arrival we were very impressed with the spacious layout of the park. All of the chalets looked gorgeous in brown until we pulled up outside what we christened the 'ugly duckling'! From the outside chalet 40 looked very oldand tattered and in need of a lick of paint. Once we got inside however out ugly duckling turned into a swan :). Very well appointed with all mod cons, we loved it. Back door needs the lock replacing as its a nightmare to lock it, apart from that we loved chalet 40. Even saw 2 deer wander across the grass behind the chalet one evening. Picturesque setting would recommend i...more
