My extended family and me (8 adults, 1 teenager, 2 infants and 2 dogs) saw in the New Year at Littonfields Barn. It could not have been a better base for us to relax and enjoy each other's company.

It was perfect for us - comfortable, spacious and everything provided for our needs (including 2 kettles and free logs, kindling and firelighters for the log burner).

Bridget could not have been more helpful.

All in all a wonderful experience from start to finish and I would thoroughly recommend.



Great location, kids loved the games room, great having ensuite baths to all bedrooms.

Bit further than I thought to the pub but still not far and really only an issue when it was raining. It was obvious that the Barn conversion had been performed to the highest standard. We loved our stay and had loads of fun. Being an "upside-down" house when young kids were up early the bedrooms below the living area were also up. Amenities were excellent with plenty of everything that matched (not always the case with rental accommodation). A little strange that the refrigerator stands alone next to the dining table as opposed to being part of the kitchen cabinetry but that is being a little over-critical. Lovely and warm and cozy and perfect for our family Christmas. Great walks directly from the house and hosts who live on-site were very helpful and yet unobtrusive. This is a lovely village in the perfect part of the Peak District. We would recommend and/or return.

Our second visit to Littonfields Barn, highly recommend! From initial booking to the welcome on arrival, excellent communication from the hosts. Great location for walking and easy for exploring Bakewell and Buxton. The games room is brilliant and we loved relaxing in front of a roaring fire on a cold night.

This is the second time our group of six have stayed here.
It’s a perfect location for walks and has everything needed including the games room which causes plenty of competitive arguments that adds to the fun.
Will definitely be back again.

We stayed as a party of 9 to celebrate my 50th.
It is a lovely property, well appointed and maintained, with luxury bed linen, towels and toiletries. The beds were comfortable and everywhere was very clean. The kitchen is well equipped, alot of thought has gone into providing everything you could need.
The games room was great, we had alot of fun playing pool and table football.
Highly recommended. Would return

Super accommodation for family get together. Was nice to be able to all sit around the dining table comfortably. The games barn was a lovely addition.
Accommodation had everything we needed except couldn’t find any kitchen scissors but that is a minor detail. Would highly recommend and definitely return one day!

Perfectly located in a pretty village with a pleasant local pub. Perfect for walking holidays exploring Monsal Trail, Millers Dale etc.
The barn has a great communal kitchen/dining room and a huge lounge - great for a large gathering of family or friends.

Each bedroom has its own en-suite and all rooms are very comfortable and large.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay.

One of the lovieliest cottages/barns I've ever stayed in. Fabulous interiors, very roomy with a huge lounge, exceptionally clean, well equipped, every room with its own bathroom, a fun games room with pool table and foosball and a fabulous location with pub and a small store just a couple of mins walk away and also very well located for venturing out into the Peak District.

We enjoyed a lovely 4 nights here with our 2 children and partners and 4 grandchildren aged 8 months to 5 years old.
The barn is beautiful and the lounge in particular is a lot bigger than the photo showed!
The separate games room was a big reason for choosing Littonfields as we 6 adults had a lot of fun after the children were in bed playing pool and table football and the baby monitors worked outside so we could keep an eye on them!
We had everything we needed and Bridget was just a Whatsapp away for any advice!
There is a lovely kids playground just down the road which was a bonus for the grandchildren.
Highly recommend Littonfields for a large group stay- we loved it!

Our group of 12 hens stayed in Littonfields Barn over a weekend in May. The barn was really thoughtfully equipped and well presented throughout. The beds were comfortable and the en suite bathrooms helpful. The space outside with a large table and chairs in was a real sun trap and ideal for early evening drinks! The hosts were very accommodating, even unpacking our food shop when a car breakdown meant our arrival was delayed.
There was so much to do in the local area including a beautiful walk through Cresswell Dale from the barn door.
We highly recommend this barn for a large group and look forward to another excuse to return!

We stayed here for 2 nights for my mum's 75th along with my brother and his family as well as our family.

Accomodation was very well located for the Peaks and was clean, spacious and lovely and warm which really did pelase my mum and dad!

The accomodation has great amenities and the games room was a real bonus. There is lovely pub in the village and The Merchants Arms in Tideswell (5 mins in the car) was absolutely superb for food - excellent Sunday Lunch!

The owners were helpful and let us get on with it.

Lots of lovely walks either in the village or in the peaks.

We will definitely return!

This was our third time staying at Littonfields Barn and it was just as good as we remembered from previous visits!

As two families with 6 older teenage/young adult children between us, the room configurations work really well and it's great that every room is en-suite. We love the huge lounge, which has more than enough seating for everyone to sprawl out, and having the separate games room works brilliantly. All the rooms are warm and comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, and there's always plenty of hot water. In the hallway downstairs there are loads of coat hooks and plenty of space to leave muddy boots.

Litton is a lovely village, with lots of great walks direct from the barn, or within easy driving distance. The village shop is well stocked and very friendly. We haven't tried the pub but can highly recommend the fish and chip shop in Stoney Middleton.

Bridget is a friendly and welcoming host and communication is very straightforward. We love it so much that we've already booked our fourth stay!

We absolutely loved our cottage. We were very impressed with the communication right from the start and once we arrived we realised how amazing the cottage was. So spacious, but cosy and had everything we needed. Had great walks from the back door and a games room that kept us entertained. We’d love to come back to try the barbecue in Summer!
