All the facilities we need are in this appartment. The large bed is very comfortable. The heating is very efficient. Extra interest this visit as we were able to watch the river rise at the begining of the week, then start to fall and the walkways appear. We were glad of the car park pass as the garage wasn't accessable. The Ladies at In York were very helpful sorting out a change of date for our visit. They also refunded our deposit quickly.
Everything about Cloisters Walk was excellent, from the friendly welcome from Dawn to all the nice touches round the house. As everyone says, the welcome hamper is outstanding: freshly made cake, cream, fresh fruit, biscuits, two loaves of bread... more than enough to keep you in light breakfasts and snacks for your short stay in York. The location is fab too, a short walk takes you straight into the centre. One small criticism, the television could do with an update. It was a little temperamental and the menus/volume didn't always work, but it really is a minor point in such a lovely, welc...more
I will absolutely stay at 42 Haxby in future visits to York. Cozy and stylish facility with large kitchen to cook and enjoy meals. Lovely space to allow several people to stay with a drive and
ideal location, parking in central york . beautifully presented, comfortable house. owners deserve high praise.
I cant rate both the property and the owners highly enough, they went out of their way to make the stay just perfect. I will definitely book again..and again!!
I have to say that if this flat belonged to me, I would not want to rent it to anyone else, because the flat is so great. when I first saw the flat, the sound from my heart was "WOW" and thought that the landlord must be very generous! I enjoyed my holiday in York not only the beautiful city but also the comfortable flat. It has everything a person need for holiday home. The properties and amenities are of course sufficient, most importantly the overall environment and atmosphere were just perfect to me. Staying at such a wonderful flat, my holiday in York this summer definitely has b...more
I would like to say that I have stayed in quite a few self-catering properties and this is the cleanest one I have ever entered. The apartment and all kitchen equipment was spotless. Ernestina is an absolute credit to the company and one of the nicest, most helpful, people you could wish to meet.
Booking was easy, good communication about time of arrival key safe etc. Small but perfect accomodation for two couples. Little extras tea, coffee milk salt and pepper sauces etc. 5 mins walk across the bridge to the centre of York town centre. Quiet side road with permit parking, permits provided on.arrival. Would highly recommend.
This is a lovely little cottage, so comfortable and cozy, it felt like a real home from home. The friendly and helpful owners really have tried to think of everything you might need and leave a very generous welcome hamper. Everything is immaculately clean and bedding , towels etc are all of very high quality. Am looking forward to a return visit.
18 Emperor's Wharf is a very unusual holiday apartment... it actually lives up to all the superlatives written about it! The two bedroom, two bathroom, kitchen plus lounge are all very good size and fitted out with modern appliances which are maintained in good working order. The secure basement carpark has a good sized lift to take you and your luggage directly to your floor. The deck, which comfortably seats three, is ideal to sip a glass of your favourite beverage while watching the sightseeing boats drift by or the energetic rowers out for their training, all narrowly missing the local S...more
We were very lucky to get a last minute booking for the half term weekend. Throughout the process In York holidays could not have been more helpful and we were very grateful. The house is great although I was glad it was winter and we could keep the windows to the busy road shut at night. Always so much to do in York and this house is perfect for a day spent walking the walls.
A well laid out apartment. Very clean and modern. Two smart TVs and wifi were appreciated. Bedding and towels were of excellent quality. Position of apartment next to a busy bridge impacted slightly on privacy and sleep.
We had a fantastic three night stay with friends at the end of September beginning of October at 611 Westgate. The apartment is immaculate, comfortable and very tastefully decorated with nice surroundings. It is extremely well kitted out with everything you need for a home from home feel. We loved the balcony for hearing the bells of York Minster and watching the world go by. All in all an extremely relaxing time and having stayed in York many times before this is so central to walk to and from the town without being in it.
Stayed several time before and will continue to stay there in the future if the apartment is available. Jan the owner is first rate and the flat serves our needs perfectly. Bit wary of posting too good a review as I don't want it to be booked up solidly when I wish to stay there :D But it's clean and comfortable as well as being well positioned for a brief walk into York city centre (10 minutes brisk walk). Well equipped too Graham J
We have stayed here before, the location, accommodation and service is outstanding you will not be disappointed.
Excellent location for York and a good base for locations further afield. Quiet and helpful neighbours just an added bonus
The location of this house is perfect, 2 minute walk to Monkbar, an entrance of the walls leadiing to the centre. Very quiet at night too. So much space for everyone to spread out and great heating too. My only slight criticism is that the showers could do with improvement, very weak water flow.
House is very comfy, very well equipped and in a convenient location about 20 minutes walk into the centre. Around the corner are excellent local shops and cafes. I wouldn't hesitate to book the property again.
My colleagues and I had a short term visit at York, so we stay a month in 17 Esrick street. The location has a walkable distance with the uni, city centre, and even the rail station. They provide cleaning week. The facility are complete too. And the staff are very nice, we had a good communication.
I visited the above accomodation with mty partner (who has walking difficulties) and a friend. We were atteding the York Early Music Summer Festival. This is our second stay at this lovely flat. We returned becausie: The flat is so comfortably furnished and has a very well equipped kitchen and an ensuite wet room in addition to the msain bathroom. The flat is very spacious, my partner’s wheelvhair is easilly accommodated. There is also plent of room for my guide dog!!! The beds are generally comfortable and Manor Court is quiet at night. We have alreadty booked for stay for next ye...more
Just spent a long weekend in York at short notice and the apartment delivered everything we needed. The location is fabulous, right in the centre of York, which delivered us right into the heart of the food and drink festival which was taking place. The apartment was easy to access, with parking relatively nearby - you just need to understand the access details when you get there. The apartment has a character all of its own, with a definite accent on red! We ate out all weekend, but the kitchen facilities would have been more than adequate for cooking for the four of us. Whilst views...more
Good flat for the 4 of us, we have been 4 times now at the new year and the accommodation is up to the standard we prefer at the price we pay, Good location and excellent reception planning and booking service. Has all you need to be able to relax, feel comfortable and safe with on site parking and secure doors. Not suitable if you have limited mobility.
A brilliant location for all that York has to offer. Everything you require within a short walking distance . A superbly kept , warm , quiet flat. Faultless.
We have stayed in this apartment many times because we love York and it is in a fabulous location. It is spacious, clean and very comfortable. There is a supermarket nearby and it is only a few minutes walk from the shops. Plenty of very good restaurants and the Minster and Jorvik centre are a must see. Will be back again next year.
We had a fortnight in Curzon Terrace in July 2018 and it was great. Kevin met us to give us the keys and to pass on some tips about local parks/eateries. The house was in a good location (for us) right next door to York racecourse and just round the corner from massive playing fields, which were great for the boys. Secure garden for our bikes (no shelter but it didn't rain!). Lovely spacious dining kitchen which was well equipped. House was very hot (but we did visit during a heatwave) and blackout blinds/curtains would have been useful to cut out light/heat. But really, it was a great holiday...more
