All the facilities we need are in this appartment. The large bed is very comfortable. The heating is very efficient. Extra interest this visit as we were able to watch the river rise at the begining of the week, then start to fall and the walkways appear. We were glad of the car park pass as the garage wasn't accessable. The Ladies at In York were very helpful sorting out a change of date for our visit. They also refunded our deposit quickly.
We were met with a big smile and warm welcome, even when we arrived late after a long journey. Dawn had put a bottle of bubbly in the fridge for us, there was tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter and jam, as well as nice treats like biscuits and a huge delicious chocolate cake! The location is one of the very best in York, so central but still resonably quiet considered it's a town centre location. Well equipped flat, with all you need. Sainsbury's supermarked is practically next door, so extremly handy for shopping! Lovely back and front yard, and great parking outside. We will most definitly...more
3 Cloisters Walk made an excellent base for our recent spring break. Very quiet location yet close to many of the attractions York has to offer. We’ve clearly joined a growing list of people who have enjoyed a stay in this property.
An excellent property close to the City centre with a very welcoming host. Everything needed for a lovely break. Thank you.
Good location central to everything, lovely hosts, first class apartment.York at Christmas is a wonderful place
My only complaint was the corner suite was im need of a good clean.it was very stained. There was a loose screw on one of dinning chairs which could be dangerious But over all very nice place to stay we will be back
We enjoyed our time at 7 Buckingham, and thank you for the opportunity to stay there. The location is wonderful for walking around York. The accommodations are good. The stairs were a bit difficult for four 70 year olds - kept telling each other it was good exercise. And, being old, the one suggestion we came up with would be grab bars in the bath to help getting in and out of the tub. Thank you again for your part in a wonderful week!
This is a lovely little cottage, so comfortable and cozy, it felt like a real home from home. The friendly and helpful owners really have tried to think of everything you might need and leave a very generous welcome hamper. Everything is immaculately clean and bedding , towels etc are all of very high quality. Am looking forward to a return visit.
Fanstastic location great view great apartment very clean and everything you would need Ernestine very nice too Have stayed here before and I did prefer the sofa rather than the 2 chairs but that’s just my preference Will be back again next year
Excellent location with fantastic views. Very central to everything in York. Extremely clean and with everything needed. A few very minor points are that the sofas aren’t that comfortable, the parking is a bit tight, blackout blinds are needed in the bedrooms, the soundproofing between the flat and next door is poor and there is a bit of noise from traffic on the nearby bridge and people at the pub across the river. However, it is nevertheless a good property and I would certainly stay there again and can recommend it.
This property is excellent. And, unless stairs are an issue for you, look not further. The location couldn't be better. It's 3min walk from the Minster, and a maximum of 15min from any central York location. Lots of placesro eat and carry outs locally - and the supermarket is closer than the maps suggest another 2min walk. The house is fully-equipped, and very comfortable. It's clean, more spacious than pictures suggest, and once we'd figured out the central heating all was good. A lockbox meant we agreed with the hosts that we didn't need to meet them which allowed flexibility with ar...more
We have stayed at Manor Court over a number of years now - the apartments are ideally located just outside the city centre (approx 15 minute stroll to Parliament Street). It is a relatively new building with modern facilities - plenty of fast food outlets nearby (the Fish and Chip shop is one of the best IMO) . The BP garage across the road is also a Marks and Spencer shop so you can also get ready meals or fresh food there if you need to. There is a dedicated parking space and I think you can ask for an additional car permit if you need to.
We had a fantastic three night stay with friends at the end of September beginning of October at 611 Westgate. The apartment is immaculate, comfortable and very tastefully decorated with nice surroundings. It is extremely well kitted out with everything you need for a home from home feel. We loved the balcony for hearing the bells of York Minster and watching the world go by. All in all an extremely relaxing time and having stayed in York many times before this is so central to walk to and from the town without being in it.
We have stayed here before, the location, accommodation and service is outstanding you will not be disappointed.
We stayed at 11 William Court for four nights during [cold] February. The house was great for our stay, plenty of room for us and the kitchen even allowed us to make pancakes on pancake day! There is a good view out over the River Ouse from the rear windows, it was nice to look out whist breakfasting. It's close to the centre of York, probably 15 mins walk via the river but maybe 10 minutes if you take the road. We arrived into York train station and took a Taxi, which was was about £7, at the end of the trip we walked back. There was no noise from the neighbours.
A nice little apartment in a great location - walking distance for the city centre and attractions in York
We spent Easter in York and the house was in a perfect location, only few minutes away from the centre. Big and clean, with all the comfort you need when you are in holiday. The weather was not nice at all so we spent lot's of time in the house and it's been great! Thank you!!!
Just spent a long weekend in York at short notice and the apartment delivered everything we needed. The location is fabulous, right in the centre of York, which delivered us right into the heart of the food and drink festival which was taking place. The apartment was easy to access, with parking relatively nearby - you just need to understand the access details when you get there. The apartment has a character all of its own, with a definite accent on red! We ate out all weekend, but the kitchen facilities would have been more than adequate for cooking for the four of us. Whilst views...more
It was like coming home, the furnishing, fully equipped kitchen, interesting books in the shelves, warm and cosy to come back to after walking around York in the winter sunshine! Perfect for autumn and winter holidays. Little or no garden, so maybe not so suitable for the summer when it would be good to be able to sit outside.
Being the first time my son and I had visited York we were not familiar with the area in which we would be staying, however it turned out to be not too far from the centre. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything provided.Contact with the owners was easy regarding access and we would definitely recommend this property.
We stayed as a family of 6 in the flat for 4 days. Accessibility was very important for us and the flat was perfect for this: it is located on the ground floor with no stairs and has a parking place. Buses to go into town are frequent and reliable. The two bedrooms are comfortable and bedding is in very good condition. It is very quiet. Our daughters slept on extra beds that were comfortable enough. The only problem was that we had only 4 chairs to sit at the table for 6 so it was a bit difficult. In summary, the flat is perfect for 4 persons, but it is more difficult to stay accomodate 6 pe...more
4 Crambeck Court is a good spot for many reasons. Ellen, who met us with the key, was very pleasant to talk to and, on a couple of occasions, responded quickly to emailed questions. The flat is in an ideal location for walking around the city of York. We opted to leave the car in the parking area and walk everywhere, visiting both new and old favorite locations. We were pleased with the arrangement of the flat and with the kitchen facilities and utensils. We are hoping to return.
Great convenient location within easy walking distance of York city centre and main attractions, just down the road from the Railway Museum. The accommodation was generally fine but we didn't feel it warranted 4 stars. The facilities appeared a little tired, the ensuite basin was cracked and some kitchen items were not clean. The apartment was cold the first evening and it was not possible to adjust the heating controls. It did warm up later in our stay, but there was no heating at all in the bunk bedroom. Having said this, the wi-fi internet worked well, the apartment was quiet and the build...more
Lovely apartment in perfect location for the city centre, our 5th. stay at County House, highly reccomended!
The position of the flat was excellent, and we had a good stay there. It was warm and comfortable, with a comfortable bed. We found the living room light rather dim and it was not easy to read. A strong standard or desk lamp would have been a help. Generally it was well equipped except for there being no cafetière nor kitchen scissors. There was a misunderstanding with the person who let us in. We had been told to contact her an hour before arrival, but she had expected a phone call a few days before, and had been thinking we were not coming.
Great location but could do with a little TLC, clean and tidy though and great company with good communication
