Spindle Bell Tent has a double bed and a single bed with plenty of colourful furniture and blankets. You can add an extra mattress for an additional fee. Head to the Garden Washroom and Garden Kitchen for luxury glamping facilities.

We had a lovely long weekend at West Lexham Glamping. We booked 5 Bell tents for 5 separate families. The tents are great, the grounds are beautiful and the children loved the pool. The bathrooms are really lovely and the kitchen facilities were fine for what we needed. One evening we had a bbq and one evening we ate in the garden kitchen resturant which was delicious and a great service. The only suggestions for improvements would be having somewhere communal we could sit when it rained and having more facilities to dry out wet things from the beach and the pool.

A great place to relax and enjoy the wonderful open spaces which gave the children some freedom to explore without worrying they would get lost. The marshmallow toasting at the end of the day was a great chance to meet other people on the site.

The site is absolutely stunning and being able to do a few laps of the pool in between rain showers was amazing! I can see why it is such a popular retreat location - the orangery really stole my heart, it is a beautiful space.

The tent was very sweet but seemed quite damp. I love the upcycled ethos for the furniture, but the pieces in my tent seemed very tired and the drawers were hard to open. It was impossible to get towels dry and hard to find a place to hang them outside. There were also some stains/rust marks on the bedding. I would have loved a covered seating space, for the rainy evenings especially, as there was no chair/table in the tent. The garden wash house was the nicest bathroom space I have seen at a campsite! I'd love to come again but will try and book a cabin next time, perhaps in high season to try the pizza...

In hindsight, not having a car and visiting out of season, I wish I had brought more of my own food with me. It was unlucky that the kitchen missed my email before arriving - the picnic provided on day two was very generous at the last minute but did feel quite expensive.

3rd visit. Kitchen staff pretty unwelcoming. Tent had provided more mattresses than we needed so was unnecessarily cramped. They need more kettles for the hot water bottles as the line can get v long. Also need to give campers access to the inside cafe area for breakfast or some sheltered spot esp if it’s been raining or the weather is v cold. Showers we used was broken. We have visited west Lexham 3 times now. This time the Sheen started to come off and I would urge the owners to look at the small details which make a world of difference for customers.

There wasn't much information available for how everything worked! On arrival I couldn't find the correct car park. Eventually I found it by contacting my friend who was already there. There wasn't any kind of reception so she showed me around then we found a phone number to call for deliveries, so I called that to let the team know I was on site! It was difficult to call the number as there is very poor phone reception on the site. A lady came out to show me around. After that it wasn't clear how to get help/advice. The restaurant was open sporadically at random times and breakfast was only sometimes available. One day the restaurant didn't open at all at breakfast so I couldn't even get a coffee. The shared kitchen didn't seem to be cleaned ever and people often left dirty dishes that stayed for days. Many people didn't shower before using the pool even though there were signs explaining the necessity, probably as there was no shower anywhere near the pool area.

The site is beautiful and some of the facilities are great, but there is a real lack of information and communication on the site, which is exacerbated as there is no phone reception or WiFi that guests can access to speak to the people who run the place!

Spent a gorgeous long weekend in a bell tent with a couple of friends, we loved swimming in the lake. Was a very peaceful stay, the estate is beautiful and the washrooms felt very luxurious.

On arrival we met with the host, who proceeded to show us around the site, everything looked great and we were very happy to be there, it was then dropped into conversation that we couldn’t eat at the restaurant, due to three retreats being booked on the same weekend, this was very disappointing and poor from west lexham.

We have three children, our friends have two young children, so to turn up to where you are staying and be told you cannot eat there is quite frankly appalling, there was no prior warning from west lexham regarding the other bookings, so we were left to scramble around to find nearby restaurants to see if they could accommodate us.

We didn’t want to let this sour our stay, the site is beautiful and serene, unfortunately it has put us off coming back again, better communication is needed with future stand alone bookings like ourselves.

Great site, very calm and friendly. Good to see both adults and children alike enjoying it. True restaurant complimentary breakfast was nice, not a lot of vegan options. Would have been nice for a kitchen area for campers who wish to cook, make food for themselves rather than buying at the restaurant. More calm and peaceful than fun, however that isn’t a bad thing. Just depends on why sort of Trip you’re looking for.

Intially, a little apprehensive booking a Bell Tent at West Lexham due to previous reviews but was soon relaxed with the warm greeting from the staff Michelle and Stacey. Friendly atmosphere in the Kitchen restaurant. Excellent freshly made Pizza night. Wonderful rustic warm bathrooms and the perfect way to end the day at the fire pit each night.
Peaceful location to relax in and easy to explore the surrounding beautiful beaches and countryside.

Gentle and healing and just what we all needed as a family. Our kids have never been happier.

A great place to reconnect with family we slept really well and the kids loved being in a tent with their mum and dad and also slept very well which was golden.

We all loved jumping in the lake for a swim and bobbing around on the little boats provided. Lovely beaches nearby so the complete package.

Would love kids workshops to be held earlier 8.30-9 as kids are up so early. And we never managed to wait around till 10.30

Really fun stay. Bathrooms and kitchen are very clean. The yourtes are fun and comfy. Make sure you have warm clothes for the night.

The site is incredible and the facilities amazing - the bathrooms in particular were fantastically clean (loved that they were heated). We had a great stay and would love to come back. Only a couple of recommendations would be the table and chairs outside the tent were not very comfortable. They are authentic and cute but dont really lend themselves to relaxing - i would have bought a fold up chair if i had known.
It would have been nice if the chest of drawers in the tent had had extra blankets or pillows in them.

other than that it was lovely - so many nice touches - we will certainly be back

We loved west Lexham. The location is perfect for cycling , running and swimming in the lake .
The staff were lovely especially the gardener and his wife who were locals .
We didn’t have the best weather but we still had a great time .
The shared kitchen is fab and the showers etc were so clean.
We would go back again but might check the weather xxxx

The facilities and the location of west Lexham is brilliant! We loved swimming in the lake, the open area’s also the kitchen, pizza oven and the bathrooms are brilliant! It was lovely and felt like a bit of normal life again! I would love to return when the pool is open and yoga etc. is on, it will only make the experience even better!

Having stayed here before we knew what to expect and enjoyed our stay in the Bell tent again and the only thing we could fault was that the tent had several rips that didn't have patches letting cold air in the morning and the lights surrounding the inside of the tent didn't work but those on the inner pole did. We were disappointed to find out the outdoor pool wasn't available especially as we had to ask and the information wasn't given out in any communications prior to our stay. The lake was lovely and we enjoyed wild swimming however. We were glad to see a second fire pit was added to help social distancing and these were like gold dust when larger groups would take them over so you had to get in early! I would recommend the location to friends looking for a break away during the summer holidays. Thanks David

Great location and and such great surroundings and activities loved the swimming lake and rowing boats and outside kitchen . Just beautiful.

The only downside was the tent having a very strong smell of damp. Which I haven’t had problems with in other bell tents. But we still slept well and had a great time.
