The House in Deal is a stylish holiday home decorated in lovely, muted tones, to create a light, bright and relaxed environment, perfect for a relaxing stay during a visit to the charming Georgian town of Deal. Ideally located just a few minutes’ walk to the sea, the high street and the station, this house will appeal to couples and small families, and with two championship golf courses on offer, the house is perfect for golfers too.

We had a very comfortable week’s holiday in this property. It is stylishly decorated, comfortable and very well equipped. It is located in a quiet street just a few minutes from the high street & beach and super convenient for the station and supermarkets. The only slight drawbacks are that cooking can be tricky as the cooker is right behind the kitchen door and the back yard would benefit from some (real) plants.

The House in Deal is absolutely beautifully decorated and feels like a real home away from home. You immediately know you won't want to leave. The location is fabulous, a few minutes from all the lovely shops and restaurants and and of course the sea! It feels like they've thought of everything for your stay. The living room is so cosy and comfortable, with lovely touches like candles and blankets. The dining area is fabulous, and you can't believe the size of it once you get in. Two lovely bedrooms with super comfortable beds. And the bathroom, wow, you'll want a long soak in the bath every night!! Highly recommend.

1) Parking was awful. Despite searching, especially on Saturday when the market was in operation, we could not find the mythical streets nearby with free parking. Parked near Walmer! This isn't a problem if you are going out for the day but if you wish to send some time at the house it means moving the car away and then back again...a pain. Speaking to someone at the market she said that she let her house and supplied visitor parking permits...recommended and little cost compared to the rental income. You need to publish the names of the streets 'nearby' if they do offer free parking.

2) Too many design artifacts - why is there a heavy candelabra on the dining room table? Constantly being careful not to knock over and damage any of the many items placed around the house. It is not an exercise in design but a place to relax for a few days....

3) The lighting in the dining room was inadequate, especially for my husband who is partially sighted. The room is gloomy in the evening and has a touch of the Miss Havishams about it. You have to switch on the standard lamp and the desk lamp to see to serve food and to eat so any hope of saving energy with the 3 inadequate bulbs in the chandelier is defeated.

4) Too close to railway line...the first train is at 05.10...should have looked more carefully at a map before booking.

5) Chaise in lounge is not comfortable...too low and no arm rests so have to sit bolt upright all evening...not so great for those in their 70s....

6) Coffer percolator was cracked when we arrived...

We have stayed in around 10 different properties in Deal over the years. The house in Deal is the best for us to date.
We are a family of 4 and 1 dog, the kids had the double room with pull out bed. Perfectly adequate for them.
The house has good natural light unlike some older terrace properties in the area. Also the yard is a good size and a nice place to eat and relax.
We loved how well stocked the kitchen was, everything you need for cooking is there, olive oil, salt pepper, herbs and more that’s really helpful. The house is also packed with helpful items from bath toys to beach chairs.
The location is great, walking distance to everything in Deal and 2 mins walk to sainsburys down ticklebelly alley!
We will try to book this house when we come next time.
Thanks for a great stay xx

Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully resourced with everything, literally, needed including welcome pack, thank you. Bed really comfy ( v important! ) lots of cosy touches which were much appreciated. You really wont need anything and the house was very clean. The living room gas fire was a bonus ( we are rubbish with lighting real ones) - we asked for the Nest app to be turned off so we control of the heating, which the owner very kindly did without question. A lovely break of 5 nights and whats more the sun shone!! Deal market was fun on Saturday morning, walked from Deal to Kingsdown on a lovely flat open sea path, and lunch in St Margarets at Cliff. Just what we needed, thank you so much.
