Welcome to The Artist’s House. This truly gorgeous one bedroom house has been designed by the artist and designer Steve Thomas, who created Big Biba and was Sir Paul McCartney’s personal designer. Hidden away In Deal’s pretty conservation area in a very quiet mews, just minutes from the sea and the high street, The Artist’s House is an ideal space for a couples retreat to the seaside. As you enter through the stable door, you are immediately struck by an incredible array of artwork and sculptures, with bright light flooding through the huge skylight from on high. Although there is only one bedroom, this home is incredibly spacious and there is plenty of room for a blow up bed (which we would provide plus the bedding), perfect for children. This is the ideal home for couples, particularly if interested in the arts!

The studio was just as good as the first time - and I shall be coming back again. Maybe this time I shall come during the colder months.

Delightful Deal

Wonderful studio/ home - with everything one needs for a comfy stay.

Great location- close to the sea and high street with lots of walks to do close by. Some good eateries.
As non car users - Easy to get to by rail. Public transport serves lots of other places to visit eg Canterbury and Dover.

The fact the house is in walking distance of the station made the whole trip possible. The property was splendid, and just what I expected from the photographs in the brochure. Shops are close, and the fact there are two butchers to choose from was a bonus. I still need to find a wine shop to add to the green grocer, fishmonger and the baker, and the local shopping will be perfect. I'm going again when the weather is cooler and hope to find the last piece of the jigsaw of perfection.

We have stayed in The Artists House 4 times and each time has been brilliant.
We love the light and space, plus all of Steve's colourful paintings. The kitchen area is small but has everything we need. We never watch much TV there as there are so many interesting books to read. The bed is extremely comfortable with a warm natural duvet and pillows.
It is quiet and yet just a few minutes from everything, the beach, the High Street with all it's great shops and good restaurants.
Whatever the weather we enjoy being in Deal and staying at The Artists House.
