Thanks for enabling us to find such a fantastic house. Everyone in our party of 11 commented on what a gem of a property it was. Good value for money.
What an amazing experience! Absolutely overwhelming! Everyone in our party had an unforgettable time! Brilliant!!!!!
We had a brilliant weekend at Reddish Manor. Plenty of space to relax, and to party, comfy bedrooms, large gardens, gorgeous kitchen (with absolutely everything you could possibly need!) and Garfield the owner was so helpful and amenable to anything we asked for. Everyone had a absolutely fabulous time! We would love to come again one day.
This property is in an ideal walking location for Edinburgh centre and two minutes walk from a small Sainsburys and Tescos. The house is very comfortable and clean with little extras supplied like tea and coffee. There are two lovely bathrooms, and a warm and cosy living area and kitchen with mod cons.
This was a great location in Edinburgh to use as a base for a vacation and for family visits. The house is very comfortable, well equipped and is located beautifully to get wherever you need to go whether it be on foot or by bus or whatever. We were made to feel welcome immediately and that just set the tone for a terrific visit to Edinburgh in general and Stockbridge in particular. The electronic information guide that was provided when the booking was completed was absolutely first class and very, very helpful. This is a great property.
Our party consisted of 15 adults and 6 children and each and every one of us had a great time at Stuckgowan. The house was larger and more impressive, than our expectations had been from looking online at the images shown. The house itself was immaculate and the facilities were tremendous.... I could not recommend Stuckgowan any more highly!
My husband and I were married summer 2019 in Edinburgh, inviting family and close friends from Europe, the United States, and beyond. We had many requirements for the venue: open to parties, enough beds for 20, indoor and outdoor space, flexible check in and check out, and, of course, location. Drylaw House exceeds expectations in all categories. The restoration completed by the owners is a triumphant labor of love, and truly makes the house unforgettable. Renting and celebrating here, you get much more than you pay for — believe me. John and Nicki made us feel extremely welcome, responded to ...more
Loch Lomond was a lovely area for our annual family holiday(21 of us). The house is very well equipped and has masses of space. The children enjoyed playing on the little cars and in the swimming pool.the whole family walked, climbed Ben Nevis, ran, cycled, sailed, canoed and swam in and around the loch My only practical suggestion is to get the piano tuned, so that although it will always be honky tonk all the notes will sound (I was going to bring up a keyboard, but at the last minute had to change cars and hadn’t space for it) Thanks for a lovely venue for our holiday
Pros: close to nice restaurants, 10 minute walk to Prince street. Nice layout with 2 big bedrooms. One bedroom with two twin beds so great for kids. Really nice bathroom and shower. Excellent and we'll stocked kitchen. Owner very helpful and responsive. Cons: beds ok but a little firm. The bedrooms are in the basement so has steep stairs ( would be difficult if you have mobility issues). Take the secure parking for the extra charge, parking in Edinburgh is a pain.
As a family we have been to many holiday homes. This is by far the best house we have ever been to. The house was very spacious. There were nine adults and five children aged 7 months to 11. We all had more than enough space. The bedrooms were all big with their own en-suite-all exceptionally clean. The kitchen and utility room were very well equipped with two dishwashers, three fridges and more than enough utensils and plates etc-all with plenty of storage. The gardens were excellent and very well maintained. Everyone was more than happy with the movie room, games room, tennis court and of...more
This place is amazing! It has a lot of dense energy and it is really inspiring and calm to live there. I highly recommend it!
Comfortable stay lots of room in this central located mews house. Very quiet location but within walking distance of the city centre.
We had a family group ranging from age 3 to 90. The house was very well appointed and comfortable, re
We stayed here with 23 family members over a weekend. The house was fantastic, plenty of space for everyone and a great mix of formal and modern. We all had a great time and would recommend it for any large gathering. The house owner also checked in frequently in the run up to make sure we were prepared for our weekend.
We booked The Drury for a big birthday! We had 18 guests and we have never done something like this before! The booking was easy to deal with, property immaculate, had everything we needed or wanted! We would definitely recommend and are already looking for an excuse to go back!
Perfect place to hold a hen weekend or even a weekend away with family, I would definitely recommend this to others. It really is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The train line is very close (as we were already advised) but it really wasn't an issue as you just get used too it and it is literally for a matter of seconds. All the rooms were perfectly presented and I will definitely keep in mind for other get togethers
A beautifull house with a good view over Oban. We were staying with two families and frieds (12) in the house and it was a marvellous vacation. Maybe the space in the kitchen good be bigger, because with 12 adults it was a little bit small, butt all the other things as rooms, bathrooms, garden, cleanliness, area etc. Almost everything. We want to thank the organisation. It is really a very good house to have a holiday like you are coming home. Scotland is so beautifull and the people are great. Greetings Jacqueline
Family two week birthday celebration. The house is unique and beautiful. The communal areas were superb. The kitchen is particularly spacious and is able to seat 18 comfortably and you still have the dining room. The lounge is also spacious with comfortable seating for large parities. The only downside was the amount of showers, lots of baths but with a large party access to more showers would have made the stay even more perfect. Would recommend the property to anyone.
This was a lovely clean and modern house for our hen party. Everything we needed was in the house and garden. The owners have put a partition fence across the garden splitting it into two halves so the garden isn't as pictured. Beds were comfortable and there was lots of storage space. The surround sound music system in the living areas was great. There are straightforward instructions in a welcome pack in the kitchen and plenty of fridge space for large groups. The hot tub is located over the driveway a bit separated from the house but it was defiantly a bonus. House parties were very communi...more
2nd year, perfect house for enjoying the beautiful York. Will definitely come back at some point. Will recommend to friends
We booked the house for a hen weekend. The location was perfect.. a ten minute walk into the city centre, extremely comfortable, spacious, excellent kitchen space and living space, very clean throughout, parking permits for two cars. Also, excellent service from the owner, house parties company and car taker. No complaints, I will recommend and I would absolutely book again.
A wonderful spot to watch the river activity. Efficient boat service from the Ferry Boat inn. All necessities and utensils enabled us to have a relaxing week with the family. The only slight issue (which we were aware off) was parking was tricky and a steep walk.
We had an amazing time at Foldyard house! The place was so clean, and so well equipped for a large group. We loved the hot tub and sauna, sitting down for a meal at the huge dining table and relaxing in the equally large lounge.
Good property, all rooms generously sized. Great location, easy walk into City. It became known as our family lodge for the weekend, lovely to have plenty of space to greet friends and family. BBQ and garden enjoyed on Sunday. Some maintenance is definitely needed, especially to guttering and downpipes . . . there was a cascade every time the shower was used! The kitchen is looking in need of some TLC, several handles missing & chipped paint. But most importantly, there isn't a teapot!!!!
