We had a brilliant weekend at Reddish Manor. Plenty of space to relax, and to party, comfy bedrooms, large gardens, gorgeous kitchen (with absolutely everything you could possibly need!) and Garfield the owner was so helpful and amenable to anything we asked for. Everyone had a absolutely fabulous time! We would love to come again one day.
We hired the Gatsby for a joint celebration of our daughter’s 21st birthday and my 50th birthday. It was fabulous. Everyone had a great time. The house looked lovely in the photos but we were blown away by how spacious and grand it was in reality. There were 27 of us for 3 days and we were never short of a quiet spot or falling over each other. The dart board, table tennis and snooker tables, and hot tub kept us occupied. There are also nice walks and activities in the area for longer stays. The icing on the cake was the snowy weather we had - it and the open fire set the scene beautif...more
Thanks for enabling us to find such a fantastic house. Everyone in our party of 11 commented on what a gem of a property it was. Good value for money.
What an amazing experience! Absolutely overwhelming! Everyone in our party had an unforgettable time! Brilliant!!!!!
This property is in an ideal walking location for Edinburgh centre and two minutes walk from a small Sainsburys and Tescos. The house is very comfortable and clean with little extras supplied like tea and coffee. There are two lovely bathrooms, and a warm and cosy living area and kitchen with mod cons.
This was a great location in Edinburgh to use as a base for a vacation and for family visits. The house is very comfortable, well equipped and is located beautifully to get wherever you need to go whether it be on foot or by bus or whatever. We were made to feel welcome immediately and that just set the tone for a terrific visit to Edinburgh in general and Stockbridge in particular. The electronic information guide that was provided when the booking was completed was absolutely first class and very, very helpful. This is a great property.
We really enjoyed our visit to Circus Mews in Edinburgh, and would stay there again. The location, the living space, the thorough information provided in advance of & during the visit were all appreciated by our group. Our son even decided to take his class photo there as the street was so picturesque with blooming flowers and visiting friendly cats. Overall, a delightful stay for us in Edinburg.
Booked Stuckgowan for my 60th and had family and friends ranging in age from 16 months to 72 and from UK and USA, we all had a fantastic week. My late father was a proud Scotsman and it was wonderful to be once again in this stunningly beautiful country in such a incredible house. Everything has been thought of, the beds comfy, the bathrooms amazing, the kitchen probably where we spent the most time as it’s a very social area. The kids (of all ages) loved the pool table and the cinema room, and we had 2 dinners around the dining table, one of these catered by Mark Heirs which was fantastic. Al...more
There is absolutely nothing to fault with High Wards. It is the most beautiful house, furnished to a very high standard throughout in the wonderful surroundings of Loch Lomond side. A large group of us (family and friends) spent 3 days here, celebrating my 60th birthday and it could not have been better. There is nothing that Emily has not thought of. The spacious public spaces allowed us to do everything we had planned, very comfortably, from a quiz night to a fancy dress party and a murder mystery dinner. It was such a treat to be a belt have a swim first thing every morning! A great star...more
Excellent property, really thoughtfully designed for family holidays. Everything you could think of was provided - we loved the industrial dishwasher!!
A group of us travelled to Edinburgh to celebrate a significant birthday so we were looking for somewhere to accommodate as many of us as possible and Cumberland Mews fit the bill perfectly. The accommodation comfortably sleeps and houses 9 people with plenty of room for everyone - even the sofa beds were impressive. The location is perfect for the new town with plenty of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. It is a bit further to the old town area of the city but still within a walk. The property was immaculate with everything you need for any type of stay provided. The welcome guid...more
Incredible old house, new furnished and well modernized. Nicki and John are just perfect hosts. Highly recommended stay!
We all had a great time during the stay but there was a miscommunication between myself and house parties (not the owner of Fairfield House) where the original booking was for 18 and then we amended it to 20, but the house was only set up for 18 when we arrived. There was a very high additional cost to make up two extra beds (£220). Otherwise the house is amazing, and perfect for a hen do.
This is in every way a wonderful property and was much appreciated by all of our party (10). We especially liked the large amount of space, the state of the art interiors, electronics, wifi, kitchen equipment and utensils. Also the garden, surrounding woods, and especially the hot tub. Despite the difficulties of two of us not having a car and having to arrive by bus before the others and leaving after them we really appreciated the quiet (except for traffic noise which wasn't too obtrusive) and the loch-side location. I would recommend this to all and would happily book it again another year....more
The Drury is such an amazing house, We were a group of 16 adults who spent New Year in Oban. Every single room in the house was amazing, clean, bright, fresh and modern. There was ample room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. With the house sitting so high on the hill, you get amazing views out into the islands. Everyone in our group was so impressed by the house which was definitely the nicest house we've ever stayed in as we normally get together for New Year and choose a destination somewhere in the Highlands. The house is only minutes walk to everything in Oban with the super...more
Perfect place to hold a hen weekend or even a weekend away with family, I would definitely recommend this to others. It really is as beautiful as it looks in the pictures. The train line is very close (as we were already advised) but it really wasn't an issue as you just get used too it and it is literally for a matter of seconds. All the rooms were perfectly presented and I will definitely keep in mind for other get togethers
A beautifull house with a good view over Oban. We were staying with two families and frieds (12) in the house and it was a marvellous vacation. Maybe the space in the kitchen good be bigger, because with 12 adults it was a little bit small, butt all the other things as rooms, bathrooms, garden, cleanliness, area etc. Almost everything. We want to thank the organisation. It is really a very good house to have a holiday like you are coming home. Scotland is so beautifull and the people are great. Greetings Jacqueline
It was ideal, both location wise and size. It felt very welcoming and all the essentials were provided.
The property exceeded expectations and the whole process was effortless. The property was well equipped with everything you need and the space didn't do the property justice on the photos. Slight hiccup over the weekend but everything got resolved so quickly and professionally and I would highly recommend anyone looking to stay to check this property out as we all loved it. It was my 40th Birthday with a party of 16 and it was a weekend to remember. Anyone looking to go in the summer there is a BBQ on site, sauna, hot tub and loads of space as the garden is massive, with the ability for th...more
Fantastic house in a perfect location! We had a great weekend at Balvonie House celebrating a hen do! The house was very comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Lovely comfortable beds, large dining room , lounge and kitchen. Plenty showers and amazing baths. Would highly recommend it!!
This was a memorable stay in a beautiful house at a reasonable price. We would definitely consider a return visit. The host was charming and helpful and the staff at House Parties did all they could to make the booking straightforward.
It is a shame that there was not a guest book in the house to add comments so that the condition of the house could be more regularly maintained - 1. Coffee machine did not work - two buttons has been pressed in too far and no longer operated 2. All the radiators in the attic room (it was a freezing cold weekend) did not work properly - the bottom part was luke warm, the middle and top parts of the radiator were completely cold. Too much air in them? We did manage to move the mobile radiator out of the bottom bedroom but the attic room is really big with kids sleeping in there and it neve...more
I couldn't fault the house. Amazing location, only a short walk into the town centre. Very clean and tidy and had everything you might need. We were allowed to check in early and the host was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend, perfect for a hen do or weekend away for groups.
For people arriving on a Friday your standard access time of 4pm is really tight if you are going to eat reasonably early whether you are cooking for yourself or having caterers. Other than this comment we had a wonderful time, our family enjoyed the house, Fiona is treasure and Annie Fraser was very accommodating, so all in all a fabulous stay. We hope to come again when we can get our far flung family together again
Very spacious and beautifully decorated town house only 10 minutes walk from York centre. The only downside for some might be the traffic noise affecting the front bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen although a microwave would be useful. Rachel the housekeeper was very friendly and welcoming
Had a fantastic weekend in the foldyard. Facilities were excellent and we were never ran out of things to do.
