Bramble Bank Lodge is located on White Cross Bay at Ambleside 92. This is a traditional style 2-bedroom self-catering lodge with modern fittings. The lodge enjoys a quiet location backing onto a wooded area with a secluded hot tub tucked away to the side of the lodge for privacy. With a dishwasher, CD player, DVD player and mini hi-fi system in the lodge, it is very much a charming retreat. Dog Friendly - Up to 2 medium dogs accepted.

Amazing!

I wanted to do something 'different' for a special birthday, so booked a long weekend stay at Bramble Bank Lodge. Friends and family stayed nearby. Bramble Bank was everything we had hoped for and more! Spotlessly clean, the traditional lodge had all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay, with the added bonus of thoughtful and handy finishing touches. The hot tub was simply perfect and in a private, secluded location not overlooked by neighbouring lodges. The tastefully decorated/furnished bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of storage space and the well equipped kitchen was more than adequate to prepare and cook am family meals. The outside decking area had plenty of seating and was secure enough to allow our little dog to sit out and watch the world go by. I cannot think of anything negative to say about Bramble Bank Lodge and it went towards making my special birthday weekend an excellent, happy and memorable one.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
Hot tub

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?
You dont have to move far from The Lodge to experience the breathtaking views which The Lake District has to offer

We stayed here for our mini-moon, it was perfect, lovely and warm and homely, hot tub was amazing and very hot..
the site was clean and equipped, the bar area served good pub grub and was fairly priced...
great location within the park as it’s tucked away and the park itself is a half hour walk to Windermere and Bowness.
The lodge was clean and well equipped with essentials. An added bonus is that Asda do a delivery to the park so we didn’t even have to go looking for a supermarket. Overall excellent and would highly recommend bramble bank.

I absolutely loved this break away. Our first time in the Lake District and I am so glad I booked this lodge. Gorgeous location on Lake Windermere, beautiful lodge and the privacy of the hot tub was fantastic. Very clean and had everything we needed. Regarding the location again, it's perfect for exploring. We visited Ambelside, Windermere and Bowness-on-Windermere but couldn't wait to get back to Bramble Lodge on the evening to enjoy it. Lots of great information leaflets and the master bed is so comfortable. I can't thank you enough for our fabulous break away and we will definitely be returning next year. I have already recommended you to my family and friends and my brother is looking at booking a stay already. Thank you.

This is the second stay we have had at Bramble Bank and are planning a third next year. The lodge is nice and private with the hot tub tucked away around the side.

The location is great, just a short drive into Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere itself. The lodge is dog friendly which is ideal for us.

Whitecross bay has a small playground for kids and a clubhouse, which we didn’t use because we had a dog with us. Same with the swimming pool.

Would recommend staying here and I specifically book Bramble Bank when I do.

If I could change one thing it would be being allowed to leave the dog for short periods of time in the lodge (crate trained) whilst going swimming.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
Hot tub and walks into Bowness-on-Windermere.

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?
The steam train and aquarium.

Our stay at bramble bank was nice. It was in a good location and not over looked by other lodges. We did find the lodge to be small than we expected.
Our dog did manage to escape under the gate as the gate is s little higher than you would normally expect. He is a full grown Shih Tzu so we were surprised. We had to put a guard up for the whole week to make sure he didn’t get out again.
The hot tub was nice but we did struggle with all the bits from the trees falling in. Even though we had the parasol up little bits still fell in so we ended up buying s children’s fishing net to scoop some out as it was uncomfortable at times.
It was a nice lodge and has lots of extras in the kitchen so cooking was easy!

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The bed was extremely comfy

The location was amazing with the hot tub being scheduled around the corner. Very warm lodge with great facilities, such as cooker, microwave, dishwasher. Very comfortable bed and a dark bedroom which was great for as lye-in.
Everywhere was clean and tidy we will definitely be back again. The book with walks in was really useful as we did the eastern tarn walk from the book.
The only issues was from the previous guests who were responsible for cleaning the dishes before they left. When we reached for a pan and plates they had been put away dirty. The pan still had bean juice in it and the plates were dirty which we cleaned pretty quickly so it might be worth when cleaning to check all dishes have been cleaned or to put them through the dishwasher.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
the hot tub after long walks

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?

We had a great time at Bramble bank. As soon as we went in we could see how clean and tidy everything was. It was well decorated and nicely furnished. The heating had been left on for us so it was nice and cosy. It was like a home from home, all the kitchen utensils were there and a dvd player. Lovely towels. It really was great. The hot tub was fantastic and someone from the park came to check it each day which I thought was good. We loved the spot where we were situated. Close to reception/pool etc but tucked away so very private. The hot tub was also private as well. We could just see a bit of the lake from our window. It was only a few minutes drive to Windermere so that was good too. Overall we were very happy and would go again. Thank you

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed a lovely week in bramble bank it provided everything we needed and more. On arrival the lodge was clean and welcoming. We loved the setting and location of the lodge especially as the hot tub was tucked around the corner of the lodge rather than on the front as many were. We felt we had great value for money during our stay and we were only a short drive from many of the mountains and walks we wanted to do, it was the perfect place to come back to to relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at bramble bank and would highly recommend it. We are sure to return I. The future.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The location and the hot tub.

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?

I surprised my boyfriend with this trip to The Lakes and we both couldn’t be happier! We had an amazing time! Although we were without heating on the Saturday morning for a few hours, Which was fixed in no time and they even rang later on in the day to check everything was fine, it was a trip to remember! We will definitely be returning in 2018!

Our 3rd year staying at bramble bank. Fantastic location. Ideal as a place to use for people like us who love the lake and walking around it. (Near to other beautiful areas as well). At the end of the day, there's nothing better than soaking your bones in the hot tub. Sets you up for the next day. There's a club house on site which we used for evening meals, (pub grub and a pint but no complaints from us), caters from families, also a swimming pool, which we didn't use. A fantastic midweek break was had by me and my partner, (she was talking about booking next year 2018, whilst we were still there). We tend to go in November because I can't think of anywhere more beautiful than the lakes in autumn/winter. (We did get flooding this year and lost a day to it but snuggled up in the cabin with a bottle of wine and the tv. We just changed the walks we had planned).

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The location. (Stunning).

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?
The Beatrix Potter attraction, walk up to hilltop.

What a perfect weekend stay at bramble bank, everything was there we needed, lovely and warm, clean and tidy!! The hot tub was fab and even better was the enclosed patio so our two dogs could pop in and out as they pleased and watch people from neighbouring lodges walk past (even though we were nicely tucked away in a corner of the park) we didn’t get much chance to explore the park itself as we were up and out on a morning and also couldn’t take dogs in to the clubhouse (which is a shame) 2 miles either way from Ambleside and Windermere where there was plenty of dog friendly places to eat out!! On the morning we departed from bramble bank the boiler stopped working so I phoned Lake District lodge holidays and they were very friendly and helpful and said they would get someone out to fix it asap, this was the only contact I had with them but they sounded very attentive to anything else that would have needed doing. So All in all a lovely little lodge in a lovely little location, we can’t wait to come back!! Thanks for having us!!

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The hot tub

We booked four nights at Bramble Bank and being our first longer stay away in the UK it really felt like a proper holiday.

It had everything we needed inside and was furnished well. It’s also dog friendly which is a bonus. The location is great with just a short drive into Bowness, it’s also within walking distance for be keen walkers out there.

I would definitely stay here again and have recommended the site to friends.

We had a lovely stay at Bramble Bank with our dog Missy, the log cabin was perfect for us and the hot tub an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bramble Lodge. The lodge is well equipped and contains everything needed for a comfortable stay. There were a few tweaks needed, such as the strip on the inside cupboard, the discoloured seal on the bottom of the shower etc, but little things like this show the lodge is in need of a little update and perhaps a little refresh. However, this did not affect our enjoyment - I merely mention this as proactive feedback. The location is wonderful and we especially enjoyed the hot tub - just what is needed after a long hike. The books detailing local walks (and dog friendly pubs) were also well received - very thoughtful. The outside area is safe and great for dogs. Once the gate was shut, our Cockapoo could roam around on the decking without escaping. All in all, this lodge would be recommended and we would love to go back.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
Location, hot tub and dog friendly accommodation

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?
Wonderful walks from Ambleside

Thank you for your review, Gareth. We were delighted to hear you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at Bramble bank. Indeed a very comfortable lodge and the perfect location for exploring the Lakes, or merely for relaxing in the hot tub! Your feedback comments are much appreciated and we will look into the issues raised. We do regularly carry out maintenance as and when required throughout the year although there are certain things that are only possible during the 6 week shutdown of the Park. Thank you for pointing these things out to us and although they did not impact on your stay we do apologise. We look forward to you returning in the near future.

Wasn't disappointed. The Lodge was so beautiful. Was wonderfully laid out with the comforts of feeling like home. The Hot tub was brilliant and so warm and well positioned as we wasn't overlooked at all.
We were so happy with the lodge that we would quite happy come back here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Myself,my husband, our two young children and our little dog had a fabulous Christmas at Bramble Bank. It was peaceful and quiet and the nights spent in the hot tub where brilliant and relaxing.
We where in easy distance to Ambleside and Windermere and only a short car journey from Coniston and Keswick.
The lodge was immaculate and the Christmas decorations made it feel like home for the children.
The location of the lodge on the sight was perfect. Not too far from the gates but it felt like a million miles from anywhere. Not overlooked and surrounded by trees. It was simply amazing.
When we got home we looked to book to go back next year but unfortunately it had already been booked! Shows how popular it is!
We are currently looking for another lodge on site to stay at.
Lake District Holidays where great. They supplied us with all the information that we needed and in good time. They where only a phone call away if we had any questions or needed assistance. It was the best Christmas ever.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The peace and secluded feeling as well as the Hot Tub!

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?
Walking! And relaxing.

Had a midweek break here for the second year running. It's a fantastic base for us as we like to walk around the lake, then come back and soak our weary bones in the hot tub. The only downside this year was the weather which no one could do anything about. Looking forward to booking here in 2017. (Looks like it's going to be an annual event).

We stayed at Bramble Bank for three nights over half term with our four and six year old boys. The lodge was lovely and cosy and had all we needed. Some self catering places we have stayed at have been lacking in some kitchen utensils but not the case here.

The hot tub was a lovely bonus. The boys thought this was the highlight of the lodge. Also, the proximity to the leisure facilities.

We would definitely recommend the lodge to other families with small children.

The lodge is in an ideal location for Windermere and Ambleside. The park is brilliant with great facilities and is very quiet and relaxing.

The lodge is beautiful and one of the best we have ever stayed in. It had plenty of space and was very comfortable. The bed is lovely. It is also very well equipped. The gate on the decking makes it very easy for the dogs to be contained and we were able to relax on the decking with them. The hot tub is in a brilliant position and is very private.

Excellent stay at Bramble Bank during our first visit to the Lake District. The lodge is one of the best situated in the park, set back against the trees with a private hot tub to the side. Lodge was really well equipped and a good size for a couple, although I can imagine it might be a bit snug for a family of 4 on holiday. Everywhere was pristine, but some areas of the lodge are looking a tad tired (please get a more comfy sofa!). Lake District Lodge Holidays provided excellent customer service, although I can't speak for park staff as we didn't use the facilities beyond checking in on the first day. The only disappointment for us was regarding the park itself; we booked thinking we could take picturesque walks into Windermere and Ambleside. However the only way of walking to both was alongside the A road; not quite what we'd had in mind! To be fair, if you're prepared to use the park as a base and drive out to visit, the location is excellent (and very easy to find as well). We had a lovely relaxing few days, the hot tub being the highlight, and will definitely return in the future.

Thank you for reviewing your stay, Grace. We were very pleased to hear you enjoyed a relaxing weekend away in one of our traditional logs cabins. Very kind of you to comment on our customer service, on behalf of the team thank you. We appreciate your feedback comments and have passed them on to the lodge owners for their consideration, although the lodge had a new sofa and soft furnishings at the beginning of the season and we do find comfort is of a personal preference. Apologies for any inconvenience and we will monitor future comments. The Park is in an excellent location for a base to explore the Lakes, and with super onsite facilities. For visiting Bowness and Ambleside many take the bus, at the entrance to the park, or the boat from Brockhole - Ideal if wanting to visit a few of the bars and restaurants. Bramble Bank is a great choice for couples, or families with children. A cosy and fully equipped lodge for a relaxing break. The hot tub is a lovely addition – great to hear you thought so too! We look forward to welcoming you again in the near future.

Thank you for your comments, Kerry Ann. We were very sorry to hear that the standard of cleanliness was not as expected. Whilst we try our very best to maintain our high standards, we have obviously fallen short this time. Please accept our sincere apologies. As soon as we were made aware we informed the contract cleaners who went back within 30 minutes to rectify the issues raised, and who were very apologetic for the oversight. This is by no means an excuse for the standard that greeted you upon your arrival, although we were pleased that the issues were rectified promptly and successfully for you to then go on and have an enjoyable stay, as assumed by the good ratings. Bramble Bank is a cosy and traditional style log cabin, fully equipped to cater for up to 6 and with the added bonus of a secluded hot tub – very relaxing.

Had a lovely stay however the cleanliness is not the best the cupboards could do with emptying and cleaning as you would see the empty food containers left by previous occupants. There was quite a lot of bits of packaging left and everything needed a bit of a disinfectant. However the toilets sinks and shower were all immaculate. The lodge is well equipped and we did have a great time just a bit more time needed on the clean x

Thank you for your review, Tricia. We were very disappointed to hear that certain areas of the lodge were not quite as clean as expected. Please accept our apologies. This is unusual for this lodge and in response we have made the contract housekeepers aware and the issues have now been rectified – thank you for letting us know. We were pleased to hear they did not impact too much on your stay and you went on to have a lovely time. Bramble Bank is a traditional log cabin with the added bonus of a hot tub – very relaxing! And glad to hear you made good use of it.

Beautiful area and lodge to stay in however when the electric went out for the camp for whole day no compensation etc given whcih was disappointing considering we paid extra for a hot tub which we could not use. We wanted a quiet get away but ended up heading out the lodge as nothing to do there.. So spent money due to This. Left this information on feedback form but didn't feel they was really interested.

I would return because was lovely however make sure take torches and other entertainment so would not need hot tub etc which makes you question why you spent the extra money for hot tub.

Thank you for your review, Michelle. We appreciate you taking the time to review all aspects of your stay, your comments are extremely valuable to us. Due to unforeseen circumstances the power went out from 10 am to 7.30pm throughout a wide geographical area and therefore it was something outside our control. During the power cut one of our ‘checkers’ checked on all the lodges throughout the day to see if the guests were okay and to keep them informed. This was the only way of keeping in contact as the mobile networks were down. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience it caused and we thank you for your patience at the time. Regrettably this isn’t something we can compensate guests for although we have offered you an enhanced discount on a return stay at Bramble Bank. On a positive note the weather was very sunny and warm and the Park had put on an impromptu free barbeque for guests. Bramble Bank is a great lodge for a break away and the hot tub is a real treat. We are so glad you went on to have a good stay and delighted you would like to return in the future. Kind regards

Thank you for your review and great ratings, Geoff. We were sorry to hear there was a cleaning issue on your arrival and not quite to your expectations or the high standard we expect. Please accept our apologies. It is unusual for this lodge. We informed our contract housekeepers immediately after your initial comments and we are pleased to say the issue was resolved promptly – thank you for bringing it to our attention. The dining chair has also been fixed and we appreciate you letting us know. We are delighted you went on to have a very enjoyable stay. We love the Lake District too. Added to the beautiful sunny weather we have been enjoying it just ticks all the boxes for a perfect break away. My partner and I were given this break as a complimentary holiday following the floods in December which was very kind. Not all of the facilities were open whilst we were there (restaurant and shop) so we ate out in Windermere or cooked in the log cabin. We found out when we got there that there is a new £15 fee to pay in order to use the pool - something we thought was a bit steep considering we couldn't use most of the facilities on the site during our stay. As we were given the holiday as complimentary we didn't mind, but if we had paid to go it would have been a little cheeky. Overall though we had a lovely week, lovely log cabin and the hot tub was brilliant. Great location too - only a short drive to Windermere.

We booked the cabin as a base for us to go walking. We didn't use the ameanaties the site offered, (that as our choice), so cannot comment on them. The cabin was well looked after and had a comfy feel about it. Hot tub was a blessing, (when weather permitted us to use it). The pub/restaurant served excellent food at an affordable price. Thourally enjoyed ourselves. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We decided to stay at bramble bank after looking around for quite some time online, we fell in love with it straight away. When we arrived we opened the door and lodge was lovely and warm. We were close by to the nearby towns such as Windermere and convenience stores too. We had our Dalmatian with us who love the dog exercising area on sight along with all the nearby walls. The highlight of our stay was the hot tub, it was private and very easy to work. This lodge is grey value for money and would recommend it. We will definitely be coming back!

I'm always careful about recommending holidays to people as everyone has their own likes, dislikes, etc. However our recent stay at Bramble Bank, has to be one of the best breaks we've ever had. We are both in our forties and so it was just the two of us and our dog. Although, I feel that anyone of any age could visit here and would enjoy.

The site itself is immaculate, with well thought out and carefully positioned lodges. Bramble Bank is tucked away in a little cul-de-sac with parking for one car.

The lodge was spotlessly clean and even better equipped than our house! A nice little welcome pack of biscuits and essentials to get you going too. Bedroom was spacious with good storage and although we found the mattress slightly hard, we understand that it is impossible to suit everybody's requirements. A second bedroom was also well equipped for those taking additional people. The kitchen/living area was also a good size and we spent evenings sitting on the sofa watching the sky change throughout the evening. The bathroom was great with a powerful electric shower.

The veranda was maintained and very spacious with a good quality patio set. The hot-tub! What can I say about the hot-tub? Just that this really was one of the highlights for us. Bramble Bank is quite secluded and so we spent every evening in that tub, with a plastic glass of red wine! Absolutely loved it! It also had the bonus of having a huge parasol next to it, so even the rain didn't stop us from using it.

The location is great for venturing out and we walked out of site and turned left, which takes you to a nice area with plenty going on if you have young children. We also drove out to Ulverston - Low Stott Park, for a lovely walk.

We always bring our own food etc. However, we did use the local Spar (out of complex and turn right) and found their prices very reasonable.

We will definitely be booking next year as not only is the site perfect, but the Lake District has such a lot to offer.

Hope you enjoy it and much as we did!

Arrived to a lovely cosy log cabin and was very impressed, The site its self was great and the location is fantastic. The only problem we had was there was instructions to over ride the heating timer but we tired a few times to turn the heating on when it got cold and it wasn't working. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. It was war every night just a few parts of the day we would have liked to turn it on though we wasn't too cold. The cabin had every thing in it that we needed. A few of the pots & plates were very dirty with old food on them but we assume its how they have been put back by previous guests so it maybe an idea to check them before other guests have to use them. The kitchen had every thing you could need for a cosy weekend in we brought all our own food and cooked it there. The hot tub was amazing and always warm. The shower & bathroom was good and the whole cabin was very clean. The bed was very comfy as well. Thank you for a great stay I will definitely be coming back.

Stayed here in Oct '15 and was gutted to find a lodge which looked like it needed Agy & Kim round. There was a strong smell of greace which stayed for the whole week, the kitchen had a thin layer of greace over everything, the duvet cover on main bed had stains on it - certain it hadn't been cleaned since last guests and I could smell damp so lifted the mattress where smell seemed to be coming from to find a good cm of dust on bed frame. Not pleasant! All this said, when I complained, the manager arrived promptly, with the cleaner who admitted she had rushed this lodge due to somebody being off sick. We left the buildingcfor a couple of hours and returned to find brand new bedding and a sparkly clean lodge - it still smelled of greace but I guess that would be due to a previous guests cooking not the holiday company. We were given £50 off the cost of our holiday and ended up having a very nice stay. The bed was v comfortable, shower hot, hot-tub amazing, location perfect - strong believer that we all have Robles, it's how we handle them that matters and Lake District holidays did everything they could to correct the situation. Top marks for that. Would recommend.

I have stayed at the park a few times not really love how friendly the staff are, and just a short drive out to other places. The lodge I felt was very basic to the others I have stayed in for the same price. The hot tub was disgusting and needed a good clean same as the kitchen. The other rooms didn't seem to bad on cleanliness. Location of the lodge was in a good area though.

Thank you for writing a review of your stay at Bramble Bank. We were sorry to hear that the cleanliness of the lodge and hot tub wasn't quite as it should have been. We have passed on your comments to the contractors who provide this service to ensure this is not overlooked in the future. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention although it would have been helpful to have reported these things whilst here so they could have been put right. Please accept our apologies for this. The lodge is an older style traditional cabin and although you felt it is 'basic' many guests have commented on how well equipped the lodge is for a comfortable self catering stay. Bramble Bank enjoys a lovely quiet location on the edge of the park with the added benefit of a completely secluded, private outside hot tub.

Lovely lodge with stunning views in a perfect location. Very pet friendly. Very comfortable and warm. Pillows had human hairs on and also in the hot tub had hair and fluff but it didn't put me off overall we had a great time. The lodge supplied literally every item (crockery) you could possibly need. Only small problem which wasn't a problem for us but could be for others is the toilet is up a corner with a cupboard right in front and a radiator right next to it, very cramped.

Really enjoyed our break and the lodge met our expectations in every way

I travelling from the north I would suggest going via Keswick as get to see the lovely countryside before you arrive and just as quick as leaving the motorway as in the instructions in the welcome email

Visited all main towns along the way and do not visit the apple tea shop in Ambleside as staff at the counter are rude beyond belief

Took the dog and enclosed decking meant she could wander in and out and we didn't have to worry

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
Everything about the lodge and hot tub was a bonus and easy access to all towns along the route

Over priced and facilities never open when I wanted to use them. Most people who use a gym want to go early or late so as not to waste the day for others - All facilities closed until 10 am and not open at all in the evening. Gym was tiny - this was such a disappointment. I paid a lot of money for facilities none of us used. Feel cheated..
Regulations at the centre say all quiet after 10am so was not impressed that noisy entertainment went on till 11pm most nights.
Dinner plates left unwashed in cupboard - needed washing
pots and pans greasy and again needed washing,

Thank you for your review and feedback after your stay at Bramble Bank. We are sorry that it wasn't as you expected. The price of the lodge includes additional complementary use of the leisure facilities at White Cross Bay and we are disappointed you feel so strongly about how the facilities are operated. It is a relatively small complex for those on holiday and can't really be compared to a larger leisure club. We will pass on your comments specifically about the facilities to the park management. Apologies that some of the kitchenware and crockery wasn't as clean as it should have been. We do rely on previous guests leaving these items ready for those who follow and there is a dishwasher to help with this. Bramble Bank is a very popular, traditional cabin which is enjoyed by the vast majority of guests who stay there.

Thank you for the review of your stay at Bramble Bank. We were sorry to hear a couple of things weren't quite right and thank you for letting us know. Although you didn't inform us during your time here these have now been addressed. The lodge is a very popular, traditional cabin which makes it a very cosy place to stay with the added benefit of the secluded hot tub.

Hi

Overall this was a fantastic location with a superb property. We were really happy with the lodge and the staff were friendly. Only criticism was that the reception staff seemed less friendly and definately treated us differently to Park Resort guests as we were private rental guests. We know this because we spent the first few days with some friends who had hired a caravan through them. They were provided with more site information and they were really flexible with entrance and departure times.

However the lodge itself was amazing, my 11 year old son is still raving about how cool it was. The hot tub was immaculate but after a couple of days was looking a bit ropey. A guy came around to change the chlorine and spotted this and changed the water there and then. Thank you, excellent service and if we decide to have a week up there again we'll definately use Bramble Bank.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The hot tub and the well stocked lodge with kitchen utensils etc.

Bramble Bank is well situated near to the water as well as being tucked away in a quiet corner. We did have a short wait to get in on arrival as maintenance still going on after 3.15pm.Also there was a broken rail on the decking which my dog found very helpful! Over all the cabin was clean and comfortable.Even our phones worked sometimes, without being on vodaphone network. As we only had a short stay we didn't use the facilities so can't make comment about those. The general feeling is the site is well run and we wound return one day and recommend you to others.
Thank you for an enjoyable relaxing stay.

The lodge was a real home from home with all the facilities you need for a relaxing break. Great location on the park, far enough from the main buildings for peace and quiet, down a lovely cul de sac. Only a 2 minute walk to the kids play area, the swimming pool and bar, and the lake in the opposite direction. The hot tub was a welcome luxury too! Pleased it had a large umbrella over to give some protection if needed. Beds very comfy.

We had a great time at Bramble Bank! The White Cross Bay holiday site is really very nice, overall a much higher standard than we had expected, we enjoyed a walk around the site and it's facilities and the site is located very centrally in the Lake District so all the things we wanted to do where only a short drive away. We stayed to do various hiking and walking trails around the Lake District and enjoy the nearby towns.

The cabin was clean and well equipped, the hot tub was a welcome relief after a long day of walking and definitely made the stay worth the price. The cabin is equipped with everything we could have needed for a weekend stay, and we where really happy with how private the cabin is, especially the hot tub - it really has a prime position on the site and it feels like you're in the middle of the woodlands with the trees surrounding the tub. My only gripe was the 2 single beds where probably not suitable for adults as the slats fell out a few times.

What did you enjoy most about your stay?
The hot tub!

What one experience (e.g attraction, walk, day out) would you recommend for our future guests?

Thank you for the very kind review of your recent stay at Bramble Bank. We were really pleased to hear you had a great time at this delightful traditional lodge (with it's private and secluded hot tub). Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the single beds and thanks for pointing this out. Coincidentally they were on the new owners 'hit list' of changes to be made and they have now been replaced with two comfortable divans.
