Had a lovely time. Cottage beautiful, excellent location. Everything you could need was there . Thank you
Fantastic lodge, brilliant surroundings. ...........................................................................
We had a lovely second Christmas break staying Friday to Monday . Lodge was beautiful and lovely decor. Was great to have a Christmas tree up and trimmings in my favourite colour! Located a short walk from the club house and restaurant it was perfect. All the equipment/ kitchen utensils we needed was available including hairdryers and fan. We used the hot tub several times during our stay and was lovely and relaxing . Would definitely stay again.
Peaceful, comfortable place making it a perfect little get away for the weekend, not too far away from local pubs and a town to do a spot of shopping
What can I say other than it is a fantastic lodge in a great location. Great furnishings and even a pub on site.
Long weekend booked at Bowness staying at Fallbarrow Glade lodge it was our 2nd visit to this lodge. Amazing lodge beautiful decorated, facilities met all ages as our group ranged from 14 to 75, comfortable beds, sky tv which was a great asset when weather was at it worst (storm Dennis)!
I love Lakeshaven, this is my 6 or 7 visit here. The Lodge is perfectly equipped with everything you could need. It is clean, comfy and so peaceful. The location is brilliant and the site is exceptional.
Very nice clean cabin far enough away to be quiet but close enough to everything so that you didn’t feel isolated. Lots of mod cons. Would be good for short or long stays.
Lovely Lodge in a relaxing location. Everyone we spoke/came across from booking staff to the park staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Beautiful views of the hills from every window. All facilities were brilliant and the fact that we could bring our 2 dogs made the week. Would thoroughly recommend.
When we walked in Mere lodge we were taken back with its interior and then the view,!! Wonderful... Well equipped, more than enough utensils. They have given thought to everything even the dogs. Warm and cosy. Beautiful location. We had a lovely, fantastic stay at Mere lodge and would love to go again. Margaret and Barry
Much needed respite, having lost my Dad a few weeks earlier. Fantastic location and lovely walks. We’ll be back (once the current situation regarding Covid 19) is resolved.
My wife and I stayed in Elder Lodge with our 7 month old baby and my in-laws with their dog. The lodge is stunning. Very well laid out with lots of nice extras. The furniture is all really nice, the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to use. We used the hot tub once during our stay which was really nice. You have a great view of the surrounding hills. The lodge is also conveniently located opposite the bar/restraint onsite. And slightly further afield you can walk to the Queens Head pub or Mortal Man pub. Limefitt Park is very picturesque and quiet. By c...more
We unfortunately shared our weekend with storm Ciara but the lodge was so warm and cosy that what was going on outside didn’t matter. It was spotlessly clean with everything you could need provided. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent with quality products provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to spend another week there later in the year. We can thoroughly recommend High Borrans and our dog loved it too.
Amazing lodge, so clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Hot tub was fantastic and we had a brilliant time. Storm Ciara hit and the roads around the area outside of the park flooded and cut short our day out on Sunday, thankfully we had the wonderful lodge to go back to and and relax! Definitely will be back and would highly recommend the lodge and the customer service we received. Many thanks.
Everything about the spinney was perfect. Clean and everything you could ask for. 100% will stay here again and can highly recommend to anyone. Just perfect.
The holiday was most enjoyable from the help we received at the time of booking to actually staying in the Lodge which had all the facilities we needed together with great views and peace and quiet. We were lucky with the weather and the first thing we did on arrival was to sit on the decking and enjoy the sunshine. After a hectic summer this was the perfect break.
This lodge is fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return! The lodge itself is beautiful and has plenty of space. It sleeps 7 and whilst we had 6 of us and a baby, we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other at all. The bedrooms are are brilliant size as are the bathrooms and the en suite off the master room adds that extra bit of space for getting ready. The living areas have everything you need!! I would have given a higher score to the condition but the microwave stopped working whilst we were there and the fan in the oven didn’t work, but I reported both an...more
Louhrigg Lodge really is a home from home for our family. Homely, cosy, spacious, well equipped (although if you require a travel cot, you will need to take one of your own or you can hire one.) The MOST comfortable beds ever! The location is amazing, Limefitt Park has beautiful views especially at the children’s play area. The children’s play area is very good and well suited to both of my children who are aged, two and seven, they also have a football pitch. Limefitt Park is a short drive away from Windermere (I would definitely recommend Tree Top Trek- Windermere) This is an amazing day out...more
My partner and I had a lovely long weekend at High Borrans in September. The Shepherds hut is absolutely gorgeous, with lots of lovely personal touches and the setting/views are amazing. The location is great, we walked into Windermere a few times and tried out some of the beautiful walks that you can go on straight from the hut's front door! We would definitely return and have recommended to all our friends since we got back!
The lodge at High Borrans, Dene, met all expectations and more. The lodge itself had been cleaned to a high spec, and it contained all of the equipment you could need on a lake district holiday (inluding a very warm hallway cupboard to dry boots and clothing after a long walk). The bathroom was particularly impressive, with a large walk in rainfall shower and deep free standing bath. The main room contained an electric fire, and the heating was extremely efficient, great for our stay in October. The location suited us perfectly, with only a few lodges nearby in a very peaceful spot of the lake...more
Last time we stayed here I gave it a deserved 5 star review. Even though we have marked it down slightly this time it is still really a 5 star lodge and I would certainly stay here again and thoroughly recommend it. The reason we have marked it down slightly this time is because we had a few problems. The first problem we had was that we could not get the gas cooker hobs to light. This was on a Sunday. We reported this but were told they couldn't come out on a Sunday and to use a match to light the hobs. This didn't work. We then left the day. When we returned we found the heati...more
Stayed for a long weekend - was beautiful and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Would 100% go back.
Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely lodge. Was very spacious and modern with a good quality finish. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would love to return in the summer months to enjoy the decking area with the amazing views.
We stayed in Marina view Lodge over the Christmas period and have to say it was clean , comfortable , and very welcoming. The customer service was first class I have no hesitation in recommending Marina view Lodge or Lake district lodges.
Tanglewood is a fantastic lodge at White Cross Bay. The location in the park is great, it was lovely being so close to the lake. The lodge itself was brilliantly equipped, a home away from home. The lodge was very clean and we had everything we needed. Loved having a washer & dryer (especially with 4yo and 8mo daughters!). Would highly recommend a stay here
Lovely lodge in a perfect location, highly recommended. We even had lunch out on the decking in November due to the sun trap position, what more can you ask for?
What a beautiful spacious lodge, from the moment we walked in it had the home from home feel, comfort and copious amounts of space. Although we eat out, the lodge has everything for those who self cater. Everything was so comfy and a good place to relax after full days out in the glorious surrounds of the Lake District. Extremely highly recommended.
on arrival at pheasants nest we realised it was one of the older lodges we have stayed in but don,t be fooled by that its quite obvious this lodge has received a major makeover.pheasants nest is a credit to its owners the kitchen is very well equipped for cooking in the lodge.all work carried out on this lodge is of the highest standard.good location and fabulous view across to kirkstone pass.
Just spent the full two week xmas holidays with my family here. We have stayed at this lodge before and it was owned by different owners. We had a fantastic time Limefitt park where the lodge is situated is awesome. The lodge itself is fantastic well equipped and has everything you need. Only bit of advice i would give is in my opinion a dishwasher is a must. And also the some better mattresses as they were very poor.
Loved it here beautiful part of the country unfortunately we got caught up in the storm that arrived in the uk that weekend but place was lovely
The lodge was just what we needed. It is a good size, comfortable and had plenty of crockery, utensils etc. Everything worked as it should. It was very handy to have 2 bathrooms. My boys loved the hot tub, it was very easy to use. Plenty of DVDs to watch on a rainy day (which we had a couple of!).
Having stayed at Fallbarrow many times this was our first visit to Shoreside Lodge. We weren't disappointed. The views are amazing & as you are up higher the lodge is very private. The lodge is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. (One sofa a lot more comfortable than the other bizarrely although identical) Couldn't get wifi reception at all. Only in the clubhouse. Look forward to returning here in October. 2 parking spaces which was great for us. Love Fallbarrow and the fact you can walk into Bowness.
The park itself it very good, everything u need is there and is good for both couples and families with the pub/restaurant selling lovely food and a park and field for both children and dogs. The customer service was excellent from both the park and the people we booked from (Lake District Lodge Holidays) and was prompt with any questions we had. The lodge was amazing!!!! Clean, modern and had everything u need plus more. Location was very good, driving distance to a town (Ambleside) that had lots to do plus little villages and lake walks however would say car is essential. Such good value for...more
Spectacular views of the lake, we couldnt have picked a better spot to celebrate christmas. The lodge was lovely but looked tired and missed a bit of love and personality. Customer service was excellent as always. The views were stunning, so would have helped if the windows were cleaned, so many cobwebs and dust, but we didnt let it spoil our fun. The sofa in the living room needs attention, not at all comfy. We love white cross bay and will stay again, but not in this lodge, the view made up for the niggles.
The lodge we stayed in was perfectly clean and was such a great lodge the hot tub was so clean and worked great. The ONLY problem was that we payed for the additional dedicated wifi but this wasnt working ALL week. The first day was due to wether but the rest of the week was sunny and the issue was not solved. This is the only problem we had.
We came back to Limefitt Park for our anniversary as we do every year. We stayed here at Fellhaven. The weather that weekend was gloriously hot. Inside the lodge was welcoming and had everything you would need. It felt very homely. The sofas was a little uncomfortable as they were quite narrow and you couldn’t relax to well in them if an evening but as we were out most of the day it didn’t really bother us (we are not big people either!!). The lodge had dvds, games and a PlayStation if needed which is a fab idea for those wet weather days. At the end of the day it was lovely to get into a c...more
Four of us stayed for 2 nights in Brook Lodge. We all loved it and would happily return. Perfect location for a weekend in the Lakes. Parked the car up outside the Lodge and headed into Bowness - just 5mins stroll. Lovely site, friendly staff, check-in super speedy. No complaints!
Stayed here feb half term 17/02/2014 lovely lodge clean and modern hot tub was fab too . We had a call about an hour before we got there to say the dishwasher was broken but wasn’t a problem went to Tesco for washing up liquid which was 5 min away . Shops restraints and bars 5 min walk into Windermere town and nice little club on sight which also done food
We could not ask for a better lodge. It was of an excellent standard and we all had a great time. We would definitely book this lodge again.
We had a lovely time there. The lodge was clean and homely and there were many activities available for the children to do onsite. We enjoyed the hot tub too.
Beautiful lodge, furnished and decorated to a high standard. Very clean, excellent position on the park for all amenities as well as being in a quiet area.
Excellent location, quiet, lovely walks on doorstep, easy if you have dog/s. Less than a 10 minute drive into Windermere. Lodge is beautifully kept highly recommended.
Had a short break in the Horseshoe Lodge, the weather was poor as it rained every day but this was proved irrelevant as the lodge was so cosy it was lovely just to relax. The lodge had various board games which whittled away the hours and the kitchen and facilities were fantastic so there was no need to venture out into the rain. We had a lovely time and would love to come again. The lodge itself is luxurious it is much bigger than the pictures on the website. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms are too. The lounge area was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. I would recommend the...more
This is a beautiful lodge. It’s spacious and airy with nice touches from the owners. Everything was top quality. We have stayed in many lodges over the years and this is the best yet.
Just returned from another lovely weekend , at acorn bank , bueatiful lodge ,spotlessly clean , excellent hot tub
Having returned to Limefitt but a different lodge, we had a great stay! Lodge was clean, comfortable and spacious. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed at footprints for my daughter's birthday, everything was just perfect. It's beautiful. So relaxing, even though the weather was bad, would love to return
Excellent situation, modern and fully equipped lodge, immaculately clean. Would prefer a washing machine to a dishwasher if we had stayed longer.
Spent a weekend here with the Grandchildren, the lodge was clean, modern and comfortable. Lovely views from the lounge window and well situated, children loved it as well. Welcome gift on arrival, wine, chocs, crisps, nice touch, thank you. Would recommend.
This was our second stay at this property. Excellent location on the site-short walk to the lake with views of the lake from the large deck. Property well equipped with large bedrooms. Comfortably furnished.
Everything about this lodge is amazing but the view from the lounge / decking takes this place to another level, it's breathtaking!
V.enjoyable holiday. Lovely cabin in nice central Lakes location. Excellent value for money. Would visit again.
We had a fab time away with our dog! Very good spacious lodge in a great central location and helps that the weather was great so we got some awesome walks in
We stayed as a family of 4 between Xmas and New year, was a lovely break , lodge was spotless , modern and spacious , very homely and cosy too , everything you could possibly need in there too. Close to club and pool . Would definitely book again . Thanks for a Fab stay .
Beautifully kept lodge in an excellent location,we had the feeling we were in a home from home.we had a problem when the boiler broke but it was swiftly fixed the same day.
A comfortable lodge with all the amenities that one would expect and we were not disappointed. Best lodge that we have stayed at.
Lovely lodge Great location as we stay at white cross 4/5 times a year More Modern than others too
The lodge was beautiful, in an ideal position, roomy, well decorated and support soft towels and crisp bedding. I cannot fault any element of our stay here, and our dogs agree
Very nice lodge, clean and comfortable, great for Bowness, about 3 minutes from door to town. Plenty of fresh air and quite private.
The lodge is very clean warm and comfortable, with all the kitchen appliances you would need. We stayed over Christmas, however, and found the half size fridge too small to accommodate all of the food, never mind the fizz! We had to keep our drinks outside on the veranda and then put it in the freezer just before drinking it, which wasn’t ideal but it didn’t spoil things. The lodge had been decorated for Christmas with a beautiful tree and other lovely decorations, which was a nice touch, although new batteries in the numerous candles would help though as only a few of them actually worked, wh...more
the lodge was fabulous, maybe the hot tub could be a tad more secluded from our neighbours window but that aside we had no grumbles whatsoever, excellent location
We chose this cabin on short notice for an upcoming holiday. It turned out to be a relaxing weekend in a comfortable and well-equipped cabin. The sound of the river can be heard inside. It
This log cabin was perfect size for a family of four , very clean ,we had the best nye and will be returning again highly recommended the log cabin was a perfect location with a view of the lake and next to the woods overall 10/10 x
Had a great break with the family over new year. The lodge although smaller than previous lodges we have stayed in is very cosy and probably the best equipped. This is not just with the dedicated Broadband, Smart TV, TVs in bedrooms and Playstation 2, but in every aspect right down to having sufficient cooking utensils. Despite the cold weather the lodge was lovely and warm, which is an important factor when travelling with my elderly mother. The only point for improvement would be to look at changing the mattress in the double room and some better pillows as this was not the most comfort...more
Great accommodation, well appointed and all the things you would require for a comfortable stay. Layout was very good
Well equipped, clean and modern with fabulous sunset view of the lake. Value for money and easy booking process. Access to choices health club was a nice touch. Whitecross bay provides a good base to explore the area. Well recommended
Our first Christmas holiday, it was brilliant. Lodge lovely and comfortable. Our second stay at Limefitt, back again soon.
Never tire of coming to this cabin, always cozy and well equipped we love it. Spent a fabulous week here and celebrated new year plenty of walks with the dogs exceptionally good weather for the time of year will be back before you know it xx
Great weekend with family excellent location and close to nearby towns of windermere and amble side . 2nd time staying in this lodge
It was lovely and absolutely thrilled to bits with the Christmas tree and lights around the cabin. Beautiful location
The only issue was the stained carpet and the smell coming off it. Perhaps a lodge which accepts pets would be better with a wooden floor or darker carpet?
I took my mum to bramble bank to celebrate her 50th Birthday and we had the most incredible time! The cabin was beautiful, cosy, clean and well equipped. I couldn't recommend enough and we cannot wait to return!
Place was lovely and location was beautiful. General tidiness when we got in was poor and didn’t look like it had been cleaned. The pub food was ok but wasn’t happy with the fact they advertised things to be on and then never showed them.
Booked for a quiet weekend with the family, we wanted to take the dogs and six of us. The hideaway was a perfect choice, lovely lodge with all the things needed for a comfortable stay, well looked after, bar on site with good food and service, perfectly located for Windermere and the lakes, we would definitely go back
Lovely weekend, lodge clean cosy well equipped.nicely decorated and in great spot on white cross bay.great customer service from lake district lodge holidays.
Lodge wasn't cleaned very well I wont explain what we found but it was disgusting. Beds were uncomfortable. We have stayed in a few lodges in limefitt park and this has been our worst experience at the park. But we still had a great break away in the lovely lake district
We spent a lovely weekend staying in Thirlmere Lodge. It is a beautiful two bedroom lodge with everything you possibly need. It was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Although it was a weekend of torrential rain, it didn’t stop us from using the hot tub. We loved our stay here so much that we are wanting to book for summer. Must mention that this Lodge is dog friendly and our little King Charles fitted in perfectly. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
Lovely lodge in a great location. Value for money. Fab hot-tub. Kitchen well equipped. Comfortable and clean.
Stayed for 4 nights late Sept. Booking was extremely easy and hassle free. Lodge location is excellent with great views from the decking area and pretty central within the park. Condition and cleanliness cannot be faulted and if returning to Limefitt would have no hesitation on booking this lodge again. Only downside was the on site pub the Haybarn was shut for the majority of our stay for maintenance issues, which has no bearing on the lodge itself. We would certainly return here again as it is an outstanding location.
Brilliant lodge would highly recommend it. Very clean and had everything you could wish for. Can’t wait to go again.
Stayed in a beautiful lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery...ideal location for Windermere And Bowness on the Lakes. Recommend a boat trip and Brockholes. Will definitely be returning. Great weather while we were there made the experience even better.
The Bedding was dirty there was an alcohol bottle and rubbish chucked under the beds, toe nails on the floor.. really spoiled what otherwise was a pretty perfect location and secluded break.. was corrected promptly when asked but only after spending a night in squaller as by the time realised there was nobody around to assist.
Stayed with my husband. Our daughter and her partner and the dog. Parking for 2 cars. Hard to find lodge on arrival . More sign post would be better. Beautiful lodge had everything you needed .lovely and warm . Shower very good. Weather was good . A few minutes from lodge down hill to the lake and about a 10 minute walk into Bowness-on-Windermere We will definitely stay here again . Thank you
There's literally nothing that either of us could fault, if i was nit picking then the only thing i would say is the bath doesn't fill up that quick but that isnt a big issue at all. The lodge was very clean and we was made up with all the kitchen utensils and all the cleaning products. We felt at home within 5 minutes of arriving at the lodge. Beds was comfy, loved the interior decorating, extremely cosy and the lodge is in a nice little area. Overall we loved it for our first UK break and have recommended to many people already. Massive thank you
We have stayed here numerous times and the place is very clean, comfy and gets very warm. Will be returning next year, lovely place!
Really nice break away. We went for some peacful walks and it's certainty a great area for that. The site was nice, clean, dog friendly and staff were nice. Would definitely come back and recommend others
Really enjoyed our stay At the puddleduck lodge over the Christmas period. The lodge was very clean and decorated to a high standard with Christmas decorations which we really appreciated having small children . The owners provided us with a bottle of prosseco on arrival which touched us . The beds were really comfy and the lodge was full with suitable essentials . The Christmas entertainment was lovely for the small children , the only down fall was the amount of dogs allowed in the bar area . We went for a meal one day in the restaurant but unfortunately we had to leave early ...more
We enjoyed a great weekend away for my daughters 30th birthday. We were kept informed right from booking to aftercare. The lodge and hot tub were enjoyed by all. Very clean and finishing touches like a birthday card, cant believe they remembered from my first communication. I would definitely recommend and will most certainly use again, god willing. Thank you
I went with my husband and two cavalier King Charles spaniels. Lovely clean lodge. Fantastic it had a shower en suite as well as a shower. Great location as close to the cosy pub . Quiet park (we normally go to white cross bay as a comparison) but we loved the tranquil location in the hills. Beautiful . We will definitely be back.
This is our second time staying in this holiday park, and our first staying in this lodge. It's a really good size for a small family of 3/4. The living area is spacious, with a fire and seating area. The kitchen had all the things we needed, as did the bedrooms. It was clean throughout. The decor is perhaps a little outdated, but it's not like you're there for long so doesn't matter. And the outside hot tub was amazing! Worth paying the extra to get a lodge with a hot tub for sure! My only real issue is that the lodge WiFi was really poor. I was on holiday with my partner and her mum, and ...more
I cannot wait to comeback to Beckside Lodge. It is the definition of a relaxing stay - the lodge was a perfect size for my partner and I. It is a 2 bedroom lodge (one double bed and 2 bunk beds) - personally I think it may be a squeeze if we had kids potentially. It was clean and comfortable - the beds were so comfy (the double is softer than the bunk beds, just FYI in case you prefer a harder bed, we don’t). Due to the time of year, we didn’t get much chance to sit outside and only got to use the hot tub once cause of the rain. Other cabins have covers for the hot tub but Beckside doesn’t, wh...more
Was really pleasantly surprised when arriving to the lodge and wasnt sure what to expect. But the minute we stepped in i knew it was going to be lovely, i travelled pregnant with a toddler so just wanted a comfortable relaxing few days and thats exactly what we got. we normally stay in caravans on other similar sites but nothing compares to this now! the site itself doesnt have a lot on but we didnt really need to venture there. Location is fantastic and views on windermere just a short walk away are amazing. would definitely stay again
We had a nice stay. However, we found little things that still needed addressing since we'd stayed in the lodge 18 months prior: The shower door leaks if the shower is at a certain angle and wets all of the floor. The stop between the bedrooms and kitchen is still broken. There were several cobwebs around the lodge too. Plus the quilt cover on the main bed doesn't have any poppers that work anymore, therefore it comes off the actual quilt. Last time we stayed we also had a welcome pack which wasn't there this time either. We were slightly disappointed, as these little things make all the dif...more
We booked this lodge for 4 adults to have a New Years break. We were very disappointed with the size of the lodge it was no way big enough for 4 adults. There was inadequate seating in the living area for us to sit so we spent most of the week sitting on uncomfortable dining chairs. The hot tub is around the back of the lodge and there is no outside lighting whatsoever making it very unsafe. The second bedroom has no room to dress, no mirror and no low lighting (e.g. lamp) so the only place to get ready is the tiny bathroom or use the mirror next to the front door which is very inconvenient. ...more
Loved everything in our recent festive trip to Limefitt Lodge on Limefitt Park. The lodge itself was everything and more we could of hoped for.Beautiful furnishings, comfortable beds and great Hot Tub.Lovely touch with the bottle of champagne,Chocs and a Christmas Card on our arrival. Thank You.
We came for our second stay at Oakwood lodge after loving our first stay there the year before. Unfortunately over the last 12 months the lodge has seemed to become very tired looking and not at all up to the standards from the year before. Also we did have a couple of nights where we were awoken in the early hours of the morning to drunken arguments from the occupants one of the parks rental caravans behind us, this is the first time this has ever happened when we have stopped at white cross bay it’s usually very quiet and peaceful. We did have a nice holiday and had wonderful autumn sunshin...more
After a swift check-in finding the lodge took some time due to poor signage, although once we located the lodge we were impressed. The lights and heating were already switched on when we arrived. The lodge was very clean with no issues at all. The hot tub was a hit with all the family. We choose to eat in the lodge and found everything we needed. We are looking to return this year.
Lodge clean and comfortable, nice touch with a Christmas tree too. Location ideal. Would definitely return.
Loved been up there I really can’t wait to go back but only thing I have to complain about is our email said we could Vacate at 5 pm but I read the book so dang reception and they said we had to be out by 10am so that was the only thing that was disappointing we never got there until about 8pm on the Friday and stayed until Sunday so really we only had 1 full day there
Excellent for someone with a disability although not huge amounts of room if you needed to remain in a wheelchair. There is a wonderful carpet but again the hinders wheelchair use in the lodge as I would have been concerned about ruining the carpet with a dirty chair - and it was wet during our stay! Very well equipped with the general stuff. A modestly priced lodge which was perfectly acceptable.
Stayed at Jinney Spinner many times but unfortunately over the last few visits the deterioration has been noticeable. Bearing in mind that our recent visit was only a few weeks into the new season we found a number if issues e.g. broken handles on kitchen cupboards, bleach stains on hand towel,t-towel stained, carpet in lounge in need of deep cleaning, windows needed cleaning inside and out, air freshener in en-suite bathroom has been empty for at least two years (why not throw away),no hand wash in bathrooms or kitchen, no washing up liquid, no cleaning products, tv remote control in double bedr...more
Visited white cross bay a few times before but first time staying at sunny brow, beautiful, comfortable, spacious lodge in a great location. Sitting on the decking area looks straight out to the lake which is unreal views especially watching the sunset in the hot tub. Plenty of activities for adults and children to enjoy as white cross bay is in a perfect location, I would highly recommend south lakes safari, we had an amazing day out there. We will definitely be returning very soon :)
We stayed at Fir Tree Lodge in White Cross Bay for the week of Christmas. Deposits this supposedly being a busy time we found the park to be quiet and peaceful which was perfect. The park staff were friendly, inviting and helpful and the park is well maintained and conveniently located with both the beautiful towns of Windermere and Ambleside both a short drive away with Wray Castle being a worthy visit! The lodge itself was comfortable, cosy and well presented it was clean, well equipped and functional, it’s location being in the corner ticked an extra box! The only downsides we fou...more
Excellent accommodation for family or friends, location is very good for walkers and hikers, enjoyed our stay very much
We have been to this lodge before but this time we were really disappointed.Sweet papers and crumbs under the cushions, finger marks all over the patio door windows, broken hinge on cupboard door over the microwave. The TVis a joke ,,wires hanging down from it,wasn,t working on arrival and we had to point the remote into the corner of the room to change channels. In our opinion this lodge felt tired and a little shabby.Great views though.
Had a lovely stay. The lodge is in a beautiful spot in the park too. Would definitely return when hopefully next time it doesn’t rain every day.
Our Christmas stay at Pinehaven was fantastic the lodge was spotless and there was sufficient heating throughout. The kitchen was well equipped with extras for a Christmas meal to be prepped. Plenty in the lodge for all the family to do of a night time.
Our lodge was gorgeous but we found the heating a bit inadequate. It was very cold at times and we had to wear shawls at times. A lovely maintenance man did come and explain how it works but it did not help the situation. The local restaurant and bar was lovely but didn't like the barking dogs allowed in. Unfortunately I left a heat pad on the bed and a pair of glasses but have not heard if they were found. The lodge windows need cleaning. We would highly recommend this lodge. Thank you.
Excellent place to stay the lodge was so lovely and comfortable. It had everything and more for a relaxing break.
Gorgeous lodge, the surfaces seemed clean but not under the bed, sink in the main bathroom and the seating area. Would love to go back when it's summer time.
We stayed here for a week as a family of 5/6 (6 for one night luckily) for new year with 2 other families staying in other lodges. On arrival the lodge was dirty. First thing I did was sweep the floor and go to the on-site shop for cleaning products and to clean the windows (could barely see through them with all the dirty marks on them). On making drinks the glasses were filthy and had to be washed before being used, on further checking all the dishes were dirty with bits of food stuck to them. Utensils were minimum, knives were useless. Laminate flooring throughout but no mop. Went to use th...more
Very well equipped lodge in a quiet position. Weather was terrible so didn’t explore site as planned. Disappointed that hot tub not ready for use until Sunday, last day. Water cold. Eventually fixed and we were reimbursed, but just took the shine off the weekend along with the atrocious weather. Site under water and we had to wade from lodge to lodge. Not the sites fault but not able to enjoy all the facilities because of the weather.
A cosy lodge for the winter perfect to feel like a hideaway in a forest for a long weekend but wouldnt choose to stay a week long break. There is one lodge that we were allocated that is directly behind the hotel kitchen it was a bit noisy as the bedrooms were directly behind the kitchen to the hotel. I would suggest that this is requested to not be in yew tree lodge if you go to bed early and want to sleep. But it is otherwise in a lovely location and feels very cosy, clean considering it's a pet friendly lodge. Nice comfy beds with clean crisp bedding and nice towels provided to ...more
Lovely comfortable cabin! All we needed as a family to stay happy and content. Kids especially loved the cabin and the seating area on the roof. Although it rained heavily (which couldn’t be helped) the stay was just what we needed.
