Our first trip to the lakes was made more enjoyable staying at birthwaitte lodge.the views were stunning what a place to return to after days out visiting other places. Home from home lovely and peaceful everything we could ask for, didn't want to go home and we will defo return.thank you.
We have been coming to Fallbarrow for a number of years now and I have to say I think the lodge was beautiful, it really was home from home, everything you needed the kitchen which is always handy the standard of decor and furnishing were outstanding. It was really lovey touch with the wine cake, milk tea and coffee, and TV and magazines really made us feel special. I would recommend this lodge and most defiantly return thank you once again
We stayed here for four days it was the perfect place to relax. I felt the best position too. Very clean and up to date. We had a smoke alarm battery run out one call and a man was there at once just perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
This was our 5th visit to Limefitt Park in the Lake District our first staying in Deer Leap Lodge . We always book our lodges through Lake District Lodge Holidays and to be honest would not use any other company they have a good informative website making the booking process very easy and quick and their customer service is excellent. Deer Leap Lodge is the best lodge we have stayed in so far it was very spacious well equipped and clean in a beautiful peaceful location overlooking the Beck with uninterrupted views. We would definitely recommend Deer Leap lodge and will hopefully be returning...more
Exceeded our expectations! Well equipped , very clean and plenty of room. Really comfortable. Will be recommending to friends and family.
Everything was brilliant - lodge was short of nothing... we had good weather so was able to enjoy the decking and an added bonus was the river running behind added to the relaxation all in all it was a lovely relaxing weekend... the only slight inconvenience we had (& its very minor) we brought BBQs as on the paper work it stated that there was a slab available to use on the decking however this wasn’t the case and bbq weren’t aloud anywhere near the decking I feel that you need to get a slab or remove it from the paperwork details - we will 100% be back
Me and my partner came for a relaxing few days away and it couldn’t of been better. Enjoyed the view from the lodge every morning, we also enjoyed the peace of the surroundings. It was very good and we would stay again
Large, spacious, very clean and well equipped. Excellent views through trees to the lake. Very handy for Bowness. Will definitely be visiting again.
Great value for money, cosy cabin with plenty of room. Close to windermere for any local shops and also close to local walks.
This is a super lodge in a great position on the beck at Limefitt park. Super clean, absolutely everything is included. The 2nd time I have stayed here and would recommend. The only situation which faces single holiday makers is the price as for single occupancy it was an expensive 4 nights but I guess it is the same everywhere sadly.
This is by far the best lodge we have ever staying in. Everything was perfect. Very clean. The furnishing are all brand new. We have visited Fallbarrow Park many times over the years and have watched it evolve into a perfect place to stay.
Was clean, comfortable a good place too spend a couple of days. Would go back. Very peaceful and relaxing
What a lovely stay we had , a beautiful lodge, lovely location and so peaceful, it’s just what we needed to get away from it all, we will definitely be returning as we love our Hugh fell walking and have many more mountains to climb in the Lake District
This is myself and my daughters second visit to Mere Lodge. The lodge was spotlessly clean, the beds are extremely comfy with quality bed linen. Once again absolutely loved it and have already booked for next year. Cant wait. The views from the lounge are absolutely amazing. Many thanks for the wine and chocolates, lovely surprise, my daughters favourites. I also booked Shoreside Lodge L8 for the weekend for my daughter and her family. My granddaughters absolutely loved being by the lake. We had a lovely family get together and the weather was very kind to us.
Upon arrival at elder lodge, lodge was clean, tidy and well stocked ( household cleaning/ dish washer/washer tabs). Spacious and very well furnished. On the Monday I had to call the emergency phone number for lake district lodge holidays because there was no hot water. They sent someone out with 30 mins, for which he said we need a heating engineer. Heating engineer was there within 40 mins. New part to the boiler fixed a couple of hours later, all good. Lake district lodge holidays were excellent and the people who were sent out to us. Can't fault them and have booked 3 more times with them ...more
We needed a break after a tough few weeks, it was just what we needed quiet, cosy and dog friendly. A lovely modern relaxing lodge
Very enjoyable Monday to Friday break Lodge was perfect, spotlessly clean with everything we needed at hand. Haybarn pub was added bonus for food & few drinks. Will definitely be returning Many thanks
Everything was very thoughtful, regarding our stay, the lodge was very clean and organized, with no hassle regarding getting the key or leaving the key of the lodge. Definitely going to use the Lake District Lodge Holiday services again.
Our 3 nights in the Shepherd's Hut at High Borrans was exactly what we were looking for on our Easter weekend getaway. The location was perfect for us: up in the hills, away from the hustle and bustle of the lakeside towns, but still within 10-20 mins drive of loads of stuff. The hut itself is beautifully done and very welcoming, with all of the conveniences that you need. Our only sadness was that we didn't get to stay for longer...
Had a fantastic holiday at this lodge views amazing lodge in excellent condition decking also great will be going back again for sure.
The lodge was very clean and tidy when we stayed. The kitchen was all full of cooking utensils as well which we found very useful. It is also in a perfect location, 10 mins drive to the town of Windermere and the lodge being situated in a very quiet peaceful area. We will definitely visit again in the future
I stayed here with 2 of my kids for a short break. We all had such a great time in such a lovely location. The lodge itself was lovely and clean and very well stocked with lots of extras like a nespresso machine and lots of cleaning products. My kids had a great time and we all loved the hot tub. My only gripe would be having to be out the hot tub by 10pm but that’s a park rule not the owners fault.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at walkers retreat lodge. The lodge was well equipped for our needs and spacious. The lodge was in a lovely location and we were able to see some wild life from our lodge window. The location of the lodge is about 10 minutes drive from Bowness-on-Windermere, which is also a lovely place to visit. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Another great stay in Buena Vista Lodge at Limefitt Holiday park in the stunning lake district. This was our second stay in this particular lodge and it was absolutely great again , the lodge and park are terrific both for customer service location in the park itself and in the lake district. The park is clean well kept and has a great bar and restaurant, The Haybarn. It is quite and best of all dog friendly, with a dedicated dog exercise field and a great river pool for your four legged friend to have a swim and cool off in the crystal clear waters of Troutbeck . The location of the park is pe...more
Great location both within the park and in terms of being close to Bowness-on-Windermere. Lodge was spacious and had everything you needed. Hot tub was obviously a great addition too and private.
We stayed at ewe lodge for the weekend with our children and dog. The children loved the hot tub and the lake and park on site. It was very cozy and clean inside and we will definitely be rebooking soon.
Fantastic lodge all the home comforts very good location would return every year staff on site can't do enough for you credit to the staff
Our first visit to the Lake District, and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed staying at cottontails, it had all we needed , only a couple of small issues ,I.e. frozen up freezer (noises at times) , although lots of kitchen cupboard s , the one for food had little room as paint pot bits and pieces in it , but this did not stop us from a very relaxing and comfortable stay at cottontails, also dog friendly which was a bonus, our dog loved his holiday, would definitely recommend cottontails.
The lodge was beautiful and very comfortable and modern, it had lovely views of the lake and marina. Only thing that let it down was parking at side of lodge, it was really tight to get round as there is a lodge ajasent with a large balcony causing an obstruction. And if the park is busy you would really struggle to park your car there. You do have the option of the car park which isn’t far away but I like to park at side of lodge. Also on arrival found the wooden decking really slippy and there was no warning sign. For health and safety and common sense there should have been a sign especiall...more
This is the first time I been to the Lake District and the log cabin was brilliant will be booking again
Lovely clean lodge. Def need a car as well off main road. Nice quiet location with just sheep & birds making noise. Child free so no noise from them. Ideal to sit on balcony & chill out.
Would highly recommend this lodge we had a wonderful stay here a peaceful location and a clean comfortable lodge the hot tub a definite plus look forward to staying again
We had a short weekend stay at Beech Hill Lodge, the lodge is very well planned out and very well equipped, at the time we visited it was lovely and quiet and so we enjoyed sitting out on the deck, it was exceptionally clean and nicely furnished. The park itself is in a great location just a 5 minute walk from the park to all the amenities in Bowness, shops bars, etc.,also the ferry is a great way to leave your car behind and hop over to Ambleside, highly reccomended is the ice cream shop of many flavours. We had our dog with us and there is a dog excercise/walking area. The staff on Fall...more
Ideal break for families and couples. Beautiful lodge on quiet location. Although a thoroughfare it was super exciting for our twin grandsons (aged3) to acknowledge everyone walking past and letting them know how excited they were staying at Daffodils. Slight inconvenience of two doubles as the boys are used to their single beds. No problems though we pillowed down the centre to give them 'own space'. Town and shops easy accessible also boat trips, train ride, lakes , swans, play park, shop and restaurant. Swallows and Amazons come to mind in this idyllic holiday park.
What a wonderful Holiday Park White Cross Bay is and we had 11 nights in the Waters Edge Luxury Holiday Lodge. The Park was well maintained and the lodge was just great and very, very clean. My wife was never out of the hot tub. We were very disappointed in one thing. On arrival home we tried to book the same lodge for the same time next year and found it was totally booked throughout 2020.. So we had to book another lodge, shame.
We have been returning here for 5 years since we first travelled to the Lakes. The park is within short travelling distance of Windermere and Ambleside, peaceful and family friendly. The lodges we have stayed have all been of high standard and as we have got to know the site better we can select the location and capacity of the lodges to suit but all have been excellent value for money. We will go back.
The lodge was lovely, really well equipped, comfortable and spacious. The location is good with walks from the door. Very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.
What a fantastic lodge in a lovely location. The lodge is in an ideal position on Limefitt park which is a lovely well maintained and friendly site. The lodge was so clean, comfortable and well equipped. All mod cons, everything you need and lovely comfortable beds Just made you feel so relaxed and the views amazing whilst sitting out on the veranda.
On arrival at the lodge my first impression was it had a lot of stairs and the decking was in a very poor state. The double entrance door was filthy at the bottom and the decking was disgustingly filthy. The hot tub was great but the trees surrounding it desperately need cutting back on a few occasions big branches did fall onto us which was very dangerous considering we had a 3 month old baby and a small dog with us.
We were a family of 6 arriving at the lodge at around 5 in the afternoon. Everything was perfectly setup. We could buy a few essentials from the reception and our entry into the actual lodge was quite easy. The lodge was in excellent condition and very clean. We found our welcome package at the lodge. We spend 4 nights at the lodge and found it to be an excellent experience. We had quite a nice time. We could visit nearby locations like the steamer rides at Glenridding and Wordsworth's place of birth at Cockermouth.
This was our second stay at Grandpas lodge. We felt it was excellent last year and it remains excellent this year. The lodge has everything you could need and more, they also supply some bits to help keep things clean, dishwasher tabs, kitchen towel etc etc. Doesn’t sound much but makes all the difference. Great outdoor decked area and space to park directly outside. Easy to book just wish you could book the weather!
We loved our stay in the lodge. It was spacious and warm and a real home from home. The two bathrooms were an added bonus. The lodge had a brilliant view and was in a lovely location. The kitchen had everything you could wish for. The outdoor space was good. The park itself is really nicely kept and ideal for families.
We are frequent visitors to Fallbarrow but this is our first time on the front. What a location , great holiday home ,everything you need and very clean, look forward to staying again.
Brilliant time we loved it defiantly be back soon , Beautiful place very clean and comfortable , lovely stay
The lodge was very modern and well equipped with items you need very clean hot tub was amazing location great very quiet area will be returning
The lodge is spacious and has all amenities. It is located in a fairly quiet area, which we liked. We arrived to small welcome gifts for humans and dogs, which was a lovely touch. We had a couple of minor issues that were resolved within 10 minutes of reporting them, this service was excellent. The experience at the lodge was however, let down by poor cleaning, the contractors are doing the owners and booking company a disservice. Internally the lodge was fairly clean, it is dog friendly and we were delighted to arrive and find no evidence of other dogs, on the surface it was very clean, h...more
White cross bay is a great place to stay, I would highly recommend the park. The lodge was comfortable and in a great location within the park
Lovely lodge in a great position between Windermere and Ambleside. Lodge is very comfortable, never slept so well In a bed away from home before, nice that’s it’s a king size too. Shower in en-suite is also very good but not that big. Only thing to watch for are the steps. My 2 year old worked out how to open the gate in the first 5 seconds so if you’re worried about this take a small padlock. The elevated position of the lodge does make for a superior view though
windermere retreat is a nice lodge .this is mainly due to new owners and a refurb .the cleanliness of the lodge is 5 star.the positioning is perfect.all in all a superb holiday.
This lodge was absolutely fantastic. It was very clean and everything in it was of high standard..beautifully presented. On arrival at the lodge we found a surprise welcome gift which was a lovely start to our holiday. The lodge enjoys an elevated poistion on the park with amazing views of the hills all around it, and a few steps away from a great pub serving excellent food. We will definitely return to Sunnybank lodge.
Brilliant location on shore literally of lake Windermere. Beautiful lodge with everything you need. Only thing was tight car parking space - no wiggle room for our large car. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Quality internal fixtures, fittings and furnishings which were impeccably clean on our arrival. Huge external deck area with hot tub and abundance of furniture to take advantage of outdoor living when appropriate. Decking area could do with a little bit of tlc but that didn’t detract from the overall experience of using it. Everything was as described and advertised.
We have stayed at WhiteCross bay a few times now and love the park and location. Lodge is clean, spacious and well equipped. Comfy bed and has the biggest hot tub we have ever used! One thing I would suggest is the decking could do with some maintenance/coat of oil or paint.
Lovely modern lodge with all the comforts of home. Had much more space than we expected even though it's only a two bedroom lodge. Outside there was comfortable loungers to enjoy the sun. Would highly recommend Helm Crag for a fantastic, relaxing break.
The hottub was lush, and all rooms were clean tidy and comfortable. A really nice cabin with a lovely kitchen and 2 bathrooms.
Totally fantastic holiday experience from start to finish.Very professionally managed. All aspects of our holiday were provided in an effortless way.
One if the best places I've ever been. Its poind our expectation. We love the lodge as its our home. It has lots of entertainments for all family members. The small touches in the lodge gives you an indication that the owner concerns about everything to make guests happy. Thank you you've made my vacation.
Sheffield Pike is a lovely 3 bed lodge but could be improved by upgrading the some of the kitchen equipment - for example, all the sharp knives (for food prep) were extremely blunt. There are oodles of wine glasses but not enough tumblers and no (child friendly) plastic tumblers or plastic plates. We were there with 3 children following a week in a smaller cottage (and much cheaper) in Wales where there was every kitchen utensil you could ask for, plastic cups and plates and an array of cooking dishes. I appreciate some people eat out all the time, but others don't and it is a self-catering ...more
Lovely lodge, well equipped in a great position to visit both Windermere and Troutbeck...best lodge we have stayed in.
We have stayed here once before, returning a second time can only be a recommendation in itself. Perfect location for exploring and perfect base for relaxing. We will be back again.
This is the 2nd time we've visited Cedar Lodge and both times we left wanting to come back. The Lodge is in a great position in a quiet area plus still close to the clubhouse. It is dog friendly and very spacious - and all the family enjoyed themselves. The hot tub is excellent which we all really enjoyed.
This is our 4th visit to Limefitt Park but the first time at this lodge. The advantages are it’s position and the reasonable charge for dogs, at £10 each. The park charges £40 per small dog which is ridiculous. The Lodge appears to have been refurbished internally but fairly cheaply. The dryer on the washing machine didn’t work, nor did the dishwasher. The boiler was erratic and the water wasn’t hot enough to have a bath. The exterior is showing its age. It needs re-painting/staining, the decking is scruffy and the deck furniture needs replacing. We were impressed with the price p...more
Very easy to find, beautiful views, it was raining when we got there but we didn't mind, so peaceful. Lovely big decking. The lodge was very clean, tidy, perfect location & the bed was amazing, we slept like a log. (Best we've slept in years) Loved every minute of it. Thank you.
Lovely relaxing stay. Sounds of the river outside & the lodge had everything you could need. Kitchen was really well equipped & board games were much enjoyed in the evenings. Info folder was useful. We had a couple of chilly evenings, but the fire was very effective & looked so cosy. Lovely and clean. Beds & pillows were so comfortable! Plenty of storage. Thank you.
We have been staying at Limefitt every year for about 8 years now and always have a great holiday. The cabin we stayed in this time was excellent, just a shame the weather wasn’t as good. Cabin very clean with all essential amenities, although the ice machine not a necessity. I must give a special mention to Mandy and team in the Haybarn for their excellent service. Looking forward to returning again next year.
This lodge is absolutely beautiful! It has amazing views and for 6 people, it is really spacious! Absolutely loved our stay here!
Loved our second holiday in this lodge! Fantastic views, spacious rooms, great deck with outside furnishings.
The lodge was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was an easy walk into Bowness. The Lake District was beautiful. Will definitely be back again.
We have just got back from a weekend break at the lodge. The lodge has great views looking out over the lake. The lodge is in a great location and gets the sun from morning till night so if your lucky enough to get the weather whilst there, like we just did its perfect. Its very modern and in great condition and comes well equipped with everything you need. We visited with our 2 dogs, with one been a 65kg newfoundland and it was ideal with no issues what so ever, there are tonnes of great walks to go on with your dogs all close by. I would definitely stay again.
Lovely setting and weather was excellent. Comfortable lodge with all you needed. Clean site and well tended. For us personally the lodges are too close together but that is our personal preference and doesn’t deter from how nice the park is. Dog walking area very good and park close to Windermere. Lovely waking on your door step
We had the most loveliest time at high view lodge. Peaceful, comfortable, and so relaxing. The lodge was Spotlessly clean with the most amazing view of the lake and mountains. Only a couple minutes walk to the shores of the lake.An added bonus of a hot tub to which we really enjoyed each night. Would most definitely recommend and will be returning. Thank you for the lovely touch we received on arrival of a voucher for a lake cruise to celebrate our pearl wedding anniversary to which we thoroughly enjoyed. A definite 10/10 from us.
The lodge was lovely, not a negative comment to make. The park staff were really pleasant and the site as a whole was really clean. Haybarn staff very friendly too. Hence our return in 2 months again !. Our sprocker loved it too.
Lodge was clean and very comfortable. Everything we could possibly need was provided. Fantastic location for nature lovers with badgers, deer, rabbits and squirrel appearing from beyond the hedge. Site has own pub with beer garden and food available. There is also a shop at reception. Dogs welcome with their own exercise field. Wonderfully tranquil long weekend.
Overall we had an excellent stay at White Cross Bay. Although we loved the lodge and the hot tub I would like to provide some feedback based on our experience. Negative: 1) The Lodge from the outside could do with a paint. 2) The door leading into the Main lounge area from the bedroom areas sticks. When you have 2 children under 4 this causes an issue. 3) One of the down lights in one of the bedrooms had fallen out of the ceiling 4) The seal on the bath shower screen was in need of repair 5) I think the shower thermostat was broken, the shower wasn't very hot and the dial could only...more
Lovely lodge which was clean, comfortable and in a great location within the park. Oh and nice and quiet too. The lodge had everything you needed and everything worked. Couldn't fault it really.
2nd stay at this lodge and we liked it so much from the first 4 night stay that this holiday was booked for a week, as usual the lodge was well equipped, clean and tidy and had everything you could need or want in it with the added bonus of the hot tub that my hubby, kids and myself really took full use of. Would highly recommend this lodge to anyone.
The lodge it self was lovely and Beautiful. The condition of it was brilliant We loved the lounge and the decor. The lodge was nice and clean perfect for the weekend Thank you for the complimentary biscuits Also the DVD collection and games provided were greatly appreciated
Had the best weekend ever. Had support throughout and customer service was on point. We will be back.
We were amazed at our stay at hideaway lodge, from the size, to the comfort and cleanliness. Location was amazing, lovely we could bring our little dog and even she was well catered for in lodge and onsite . Perfect location for exploring , only regret is we didn't stay for longer! Thank you for a lovely break away .
This lodge was lovely, clean and cozy. Hot tub was placed in a secluded area which was perfect. Had everything you needed and more, would definitely stay again.
Everything was amazing.... from staff to food, we will differently be back next year! We had to pay £100 deposit as we went as a same sex group, I am happy to say it was back in my account within 3 days of departing the lodge!! All the girls have already recommended the park to friends and family. Thankyou for a amazing stay.
Amazing stay, swimming pool and playgrounds for the children. The lake is within 10 minute drive e, plenty to do with young children.
Really enjoyed are stay in the forest pine lodge would highly recomend fallbarrow park we have holiday at fallbarrow quite a few times and always enjoyed our stay
We stayed at the Glingly Dell for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and use it as a base to explore the area. The lodge is surprisingly spacious and has easily accommodated our family of three. It is equipped with everything we needed for our stay. It is clean, tidy, and cosy. Thank you to the owners! The location is perfect for the explorers’ base, and we eagerly look forward to our next trip over to Windermere and White Cross Bay!
This is a lovely lodge to stay in. Everything you could need and near the edge of the Lake. Although the hot tub is at the front against the roadway, once in it you feel secluded. Would recommend staying here.
We have stayed at several lodges at limefitt before. They are all nice. But this one is outstanding. The furnishings are very good quality, comfortable beds, it was extremely clean when we arrived, And Very well equipped, The outside decking had a secure gate on it so our small dog could run around safely. The outdoor furniture was Top quality and comfortable and the view is amazing. We can’t rate this lodge highly enough. No complaints whatsoever - apart from the WiFi. WiFi is advertised as available at limefitt, but in the week we were there, none of our party were able to ...more
This was the first time that we have stayed here and it certainly will not be our last ! Top class throughout from the site to the accommodation, will highly recommend..................
The Lodge was perfect, spotless, spacious home from home. We were very lucky with the glorious weather (the bbq was perfect). The location of White Cross Bay is so central and convenient to explore. Would we return “definitely” A spectacular break!!!
Arrived around 6.30pm we were surprised that the reception was still open, guy at reception was very pleasant and got us to our lodge. On entering the lodge we noticed a large pool of water under the lounge radiator which had damaged the floor trim and floor... the gate on the decked area was hanging off, pots were left unwashed, there were food items left in the fridge and freezer from previous guests along with a few other minor repair issues... I called the helpline and all issues were dealt with the following day... luckily I knew how to top up the boiler to allow us to have hot water and ...more
Lodge is clean and tidy though a little dated. Hot tub was great but decking needs some tlc (especially the front steps to the lodge). Park itself was quiet and staff friendly.
Very nice lodge with a fairly big outside decking area which was ideal as we had pets with us. Only downside was the tree in the decking area blocked the sun out later on in the day but its not a major issue. Very clean and peaceful park, would definatly reccomend
Lovely weekend at Hill lodge. The lodge was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Extra special as our dog was welcome too.
We had a wonderful family holiday plenty to do to keep our 18 month old outdoor loving toddler busy. Lovely lodge in the perfect location. We had been before on a holiday just as a couple and we would still definitely return again for a 3rd visit
Lodge it’s self is nice could do with some modernisation a little run down. Hot tub is great and set at the back and private, The park it’s self is decent and pool and gym is good. Was disappointed with the booking hotline as we left some belongings In the lodge rang them on the sat morning and someone with a bad attitude and not interested in trying to help at all answered was told he would ring me let me know with no intention. So no reply from the company at all really bad customer service. The drains on the lodge could do with some work the sink, bath and kitchen sink take ages to drain ...more
We really enjoyed our stay at Robin View a real home from home and the hot tube after a days walking was a real bonus our only criticism would be the outside furniture is not comfortable at all and could do with updating to more comfortable seats or sun loungers but that will not stop us returning in September and we are looking forward to it
We stayed here for a long weekend and had a fab time. The kids loved the added bonus of the hot tub! The lodge was very modern, clean and well equipped with everything you could possibly need, just like a home from home. If I had to pick out a negative then the lodges are quite close together but this wouldn't put us off staying again, so much so we are looking at going next year. Thanks Lake District Lodge Holidays!
Me and my wife stayed here early in July. We chose to stay at Burnside park because of the location, only 10 min walk into town and also having the luxury of a lodge rather than staying in a hotel. The lodge itself was great, very tidy lots of room and nice to be able to sit out on the veranda on an evening. Would recommend 100% and hopefully we will be back in the not to distant future.
Excellent midweek break at backside rest lodge. Perfect location along the stream with west facing veranda catching the sun most of the day. The sun was not occluded by the trees outside as other lodges along the beck. Beautiful wildlife to be seen from the veranda along the stream. Nice quiet location away from the pub.
LOVED THE LODGE..IN A NICE QUIET AREA ,,,THE HOT TUB WAS VERY GOOD.....ALTHOUGH THE DECKING COULD BE IN NEED OF PAINTING....THE LODGE HAD EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR A HOLIDAY STAY..THE WOODEN FLOOR WAS BRILL FOR HAVING THE DOG..EASY TO CLEAN....BEDS WERE VERY COMFY INDEED...LOVED IT...WOULD COME BACK AND STAY NEXT YEAR......
My family really enjoyed our stay at Puddleduck Lodge. The lodge was in pretty good shape and had plenty of space inside and out for us with a really nice hot tub. There were some issues which the owners should look at resolving. The first being the decking which is in need of refurbishment. This is particularly an issue outside the patio doors where some non-slip strips have been stapled onto the decking and are a serious trip hazard. Our little boy tripped on these a number of times, and I did as well, as they are not secured to the boards correctly - I have taken photos of this problem i...more
Myself and my wife stayed here Friday to Monday on June 28th. Lodge was nice but could maybe do with updating. Was a very hot weekend but the fan wasn't working. Hot tub was fine. Nice play field for your dog. Our German Shepherd loved his stay. Onsite pub was really friendly, but a bit quiet. We ate there twice and the food was good. We have looked to stay again but would go for one of the cheaper lodges without a hot tub...the warden for the park, frim whitley bay was so helpful for us in getting something we forgot and went out of his way to help..overall we loved our stay...
I love staying at Jinnyspinner as the location is beautiful but unfortunately with the last 4 years showing poor cleanliness, we will no longer return. Items such as tables and the fridge were dirty at our recent visit. The shower cubicle had dirty grime and one plug socket was hanging off the wall. Just to name a few areas of concern. Photos offered as proof to company but not wanted.
We had a lovely comfortable stay at sunny brow lodge, hot tub was a bonus,a hit with my 5 year old grandson, superb view over the lake,as Arnold says we’l be back!
It was a very good experience- the lodge was great especially for my mother in law who has mobility issues- white cross was excellent for dogs
Absolutely immaculate cabin, id say one of the nicest on the park, champagne and chocolates made it that extra special, i like to think of limefitt park as the perfect place for me my husband and pooch. Only downfall for me is hot tub needs to be more private and ironically wasnt hot enough. Only set at 38 no option to turn higher or if there was i couldnt find it.
The location of the lodge was perfect, beautiful views with the private, terraced area facing south west.
Nice lodge, excellent location. Would definitely visit again. Lots to do and in a lovely part of the country.
Had a lovely week, we were very lucky with the weather which is a bonus. Family enjoyed park and lodge.
We stayed in Acorn Lodge for 4 nights and we couldn’t fault it. The lodge had everything you needed. It is situated close to the lake where it was peaceful and we enjoyed most evening being able to relax on the decking area as we were lucky with the weather. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for the lovely stay.
This lodge was very tired and is in need of some TLC it wasn’t what we were expecting going by the photos on the website, which possibly were taken some time ago. The location was fantastic tho and the position on the park itself the views were amazing from the lounge area.
A perfect stay apart from a few blips, a bad smell from the drains under the lodge, tap in the kitchen requires attention and also the gass fire the ignition did not work had to light it with a piece of paper otherwise it was a great stay. Décor was a bit outdated but it was spotless and there were loads of dvd's and cd's also books and games for children. The young gentleman from Lake District Lodge Holidays can out as soon as I reported the problems and sorted out what he could and informed us that the owners would be advised of the problems. The lodge was very comfortable throughout plenty ...more
The lodge was comfortable but I was disappointed with the cleanliness. Some of the crockery looked and felt greasy and needed to be washed before i could use it. The kitchen work top was greasy under the boiler. Poorly equipped with some crockery and cutlery for 6 people.
Overall was a good stay. Decor a bit dated, lodge was clean when we arrived. Tree in middle of parking area was a pain so park round the back where there’s plenty of room. Bit of a smell near the toilet and bathroom. Toilet door opens in against the towel rail so a bit tight getting pastmsink if you’re a larger lady. Large gated veranda was great for dogs and granddaughter to toddle pound Customer service excellent. Overall would give 4/5
There is a terrible smell of damp coming from both bathrooms This makes it awkward to sleep in the main bedroom Handrail post on the decking had rotted away at base and was dangerous Washing machine did not work Apart from these things the holiday was good
Stopped here for a week, we had one problem which was sorted within 24 hrs,so cant fault it for customer service .
I know this is a dog friendly lodge We had to get a good air freshener to mask the smell of dogs Decking and outside furniture needed to be cleaned The lodge was well equipped with all that you would need The hot tub was very enjoyable after a long day walking around the area I would recommend this lodge if you was taking dogs with you
