Fantastic lodge, brilliant surroundings. ...........................................................................
A magnificent lodge with many extras added. Comfort and coziness is first and foremost in Fallbarrow Glade. Everything you need for a perfect stay ina luxury lodge. This has to be the best lodge in the park. Scrupulously clean and well equipped. This is our third stay at Fallbarrow Glade and it never fails to deliver. Lovely welcome pack also....... Can't wait to return.
We had a terrific week apart from weather, it didn't matter as we couldn't have had a better lodge and the position off it. Everything was perfect with it and would recommend it highly. Our wee dog didn't even want to leave.
Lovely Lodge in a relaxing location. Everyone we spoke/came across from booking staff to the park staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Beautiful views of the hills from every window. All facilities were brilliant and the fact that we could bring our 2 dogs made the week. Would thoroughly recommend.
We had a relaxing 4 night stay at the lodge with just about everything you would need. Perfect location just a minutes walk to the reception/bar/restaurant on site & just 5 minutes walk into Bowness. Would highly recommend this lodge & would return again. Great welcome pack which was very thoughtful.
4 nights: The cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, apart from the bed which we adapted with blankets etc in order to be able to sleep on the mattress. We also put 'padding' at the bottom of the bed over the wooden base legs to prevent smashing our legs. There were only 5 coat hangers which was totally insufficient and we could not unpack most of our suitcase. We would have liked bigger bath towels, face cloths and a few more items of cutlery, especially as we were doing all our own cooking. We were a little surprised that there was not a 'starter' pack of the basic necessities su...more
Once again we had a fantastic stay with Lake District Lodge Holidays. Beautifully located lodge, right near water, equipped with everything You might need during Your stay. We enjoyed bbq on the decking, with ducks on the water and rabbits wandering on the grass between the lodges. Our stay was very peaceful and relaxing. We do highly recommend this lodge and we are looking forward to book our next stay.
Lovely stay in a very welcoming and comfortable lodge. Everything you could possibly need was supplied
Was clean, comfortable a good place too spend a couple of days. Would go back. Very peaceful and relaxing
This was our third visit to High Borans and will not be our last. Guaranteed peace and quiet, sadly good weather not guaranteed! Have stayed in Holt and Grove and could recommend either. Great place for a break, good walking and Kendal and Windermere bothclose by. The Italian restaurant in Windermere, San Pietro, and The Mortal Man at Troutbeck are excellent places to eat.
Our long weekend at Elder Lodge was excellent - we would definitely go back. The lodge cared for all our needs and especially the dogs they have thought of everything. The lodge has plenty of living space and the hot tub was fantastic. There is a good track for walking the dogs behind the lodge park but not suitable for people who are unsteady on there feet as it is very uneven and rocky. Dogs still to be kept on leads.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. We booked the lodge because of it’s lakeside position and dog friendly status - it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Another fabulous stay at high borrans lodges. Peace and quiet with stunning scenery. Lodges are high spec and Cathy an excellent host
The lodge was perfect everything you needed for a great weekend was there. The place was spotlessly clean as was the hot tub. Nice personal touches - sweets on the bed personal coffee pods and biscuits they had thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible will definitely return and recommend to friends
Enjoyed 11 days at Loughrigg Lodge. The lodge had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. On arrival the lodge was lovely and clean. Checking in was quick and efficient. We had a few meals at the Haybarn along with visiting The Queens Head a few times. The staff in both were very friendly and welcoming.
Perfect lodge for couples quiet weekend break away to relax. Absolutely spotless. Out of the way enough to get away from it all but close enough to get to Windermere if you are looking for cafes/bars/shops etc. Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Absolutely fantastic stay our second return different lodge and we will defiantly be back next year for another stay couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and so quiet. Thank you
My partner and I had a lovely long weekend at High Borrans in September. The Shepherds hut is absolutely gorgeous, with lots of lovely personal touches and the setting/views are amazing. The location is great, we walked into Windermere a few times and tried out some of the beautiful walks that you can go on straight from the hut's front door! We would definitely return and have recommended to all our friends since we got back!
The second time we'd stayed at High Borrans. They are still lovely places to stay although access to the lodges is getting more difficult with rough roads and paths for a small sports car. Also, the wifi signal can be patchy or even non-existent at times although the owner will offer you an alternative wifi login if it's available. We'd possibly stay again although I'd have to factor in the everything first.
It was amazing stay , i wish WIFI was better rather than that everything was perfect , we real enjoy
The cabin was lovely inside and beautifully located for the most amazing view! Would definitely stay again. Just one thing to mention was on our last day there was no hot water or heating, but other than that a great stay.
We visited Tanglewood in a party of two families- 4 adults and four children in total. The lodge was plenty big enough for all of us and very well equipped. It was very comfortable inside with nice decked area outside. The children enjoyed the on site playground and football area and proximity to Lake Windermere was lovely. We would definitely stay here again.
Stunning Views from White Cross Bay Park, convenient by bus, car, or walk to Bowness & Windermere towns
We stayed at Stickle Ghyll for our honeymoon and it could not have been more perfect. The lodge is situated on Lake Windermere's edge with stunning scenery all around. The lodge was modern, well presented and very clean with excellent facilities such as a hot tub, dishwasher, washing machine, wine fridge and two bathrooms. The lodge was extremely comfortable and we will definitely be going back to this lodge. We would highly recommend.
we enjoyed a Monday to Friday visit for my birthday during the first week in October. This was our first visit to limefitt park. the in-laws had been 50 years earlier when it was a campsite and wanted to return. It was just my partner and I and our two dogs staying in this lodge. However, we had other family staying in near by lodges. the lodge was well laid out and equipped and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. It even had an iron, hair dryer and mini straighteners (just in case) Ewe lodge was in a perfect location, you did not feel over looked by other lodges and it was v...more
We had a great weekend break bar, restaurant was great with a reasonably priced menu with plenty of choices
My husband and I received a one night five star hotel voucher for christmas, as we had to travel nearly two hundred miles we decided to extend our break and booking this lodge turned out to be an excellent decision. The lodge had everything and more very comfortable and spotless and having superb weather made it a perfect holiday.
Lovely lodge set in a beautiful location just right for a get away from normality. The hot tub was excellent even in the rain.
Daffodils Lodge is the best lodge that we have stayed in to date, it has all the amenities that you require is in excellent condition and is in a good location within the park. We would have no hesitation on using this lodge again on our next visit to the lakes and if available on our next visit we will definitely look to book this lodge again. With regards to customer service this next comment is not in relation to the service we received from Lake District Holiday Lodges. We cannot understand why you cannot get a coffee in the on site bar after 5pm at night. On return from a day out we poppe...more
Check in quick and easy, maybe not so easy to find the lodge even though we were provided with a map of the park. Excellent location for the lake and very close to cafes, supermarket, pubs and takeaways. Plenty of lovely places to walk the dog and friendly locals. Lodge was clean and in a quiet location, no view of the lake because of thick trees but not a problem. Had everything needed kitchen wise and was very happy with the dishwasher, tablets were provided. Only gripe was after spending 4.5 hours driving, should only have been 3 and a quarter but due to road closures and motorway roadwor...more
What a wonderful Holiday Park White Cross Bay is and we had 11 nights in the Waters Edge Luxury Holiday Lodge. The Park was well maintained and the lodge was just great and very, very clean. My wife was never out of the hot tub. We were very disappointed in one thing. On arrival home we tried to book the same lodge for the same time next year and found it was totally booked throughout 2020.. So we had to book another lodge, shame.
Stayed at the Buttermere Lodge for the 2nd year running and this time we stayed on dates 16th September 2019 until 23rd September 2019 and we couldn't have picked a better week for the weather. The location of the Buttermere Lodge is a stones throw away from the Centre of Bowness which is ideal. When we arrived the lodge was as we remembered but on settling in to the lodge on our first day we noticed it wasn't as clean as we thought. We found a stain on the carpet near the bathroom door, toe-nail clippings in the sitting room, splash marks up the main doors and the kitchen cupboard doors an...more
We came back to Limefitt Park for our anniversary as we do every year. We stayed here at Fellhaven. The weather that weekend was gloriously hot. Inside the lodge was welcoming and had everything you would need. It felt very homely. The sofas was a little uncomfortable as they were quite narrow and you couldn’t relax to well in them if an evening but as we were out most of the day it didn’t really bother us (we are not big people either!!). The lodge had dvds, games and a PlayStation if needed which is a fab idea for those wet weather days. At the end of the day it was lovely to get into a c...more
a little gem of a place. for groups of adults or a family. the lodge was very welcoming and homely. the kids loved the hot tub the dog loved the decking and myself and Nicola loved the peace and quiet. the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely heart warming touch. thank you very much xx
We arrived to very well presented lodge. All beds lovely & comfy. The kitchen provides every you need, even 2 fridges. The Hot tub is ample for 6 people. The lodge is situated in a corner of a quiet Cul-de-sac. We had a wonderful time & the weather was perfect.
Lovely lodge in a great location! Great facilities and a lovely quiet site. Will definitely return!
On arrival the lodge was beautiful and so clean looked even better than in the photos. The owners had supplied everything you needed . The beds and furniture were extremely comfy and great having a shower room as well as a bath room. It was in a good position in the park, even with the nearby lodges occupied it was quiet. Also it was a bonus to find that we were able to sit in the club house with our dogs in the designated dog friendly area.
Loved the location of the park. The lodge was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Hot tub was great after a long walk with the dog. Only a couple of minutes walk to Bowness. Lots of choice for eating out( most places dog friendly). We will be definitely coming back soon. Thank you to the owners for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge and for the bottle of wine.
We had a great stay at shoreside and will be booking again lovely lodge. With fantastic views. Lodge has everything you need.
Been hear 5 times always love it. Location lovely nice you can take your fury friends away with you. It’s my boys (dog) favourite holiday and will always return with him. He gets depressed when we bring him home. We all do in fact.
We stayed in the Copse for a 3 night Mini Moon before our Honeymoon. We couldnt have chosen a better place to stay. The lodge was just beautiful, spotlessly clean and modern. It looked brand new and wouldn't have even known it is a dog friendly lodge, not a hair or scratch in sight. Such a peaceful, relaxing stay in a fantastic location. Not a sound from the neighbouring lodges, all enjoying the tranquil surroundings. We enjoyed visits to Kendal and Windermere, just a short drive away. We also took advantage of the complimentry access to the leisure centre which was a great touch. We thorough...more
This is a beautiful lodge. It’s spacious and airy with nice touches from the owners. Everything was top quality. We have stayed in many lodges over the years and this is the best yet.
Beautiful location and not far from all major sightseeing points within the Windermere region. The lodge is well maintained and provided the 'home from home' experience that we wanted. The lodge is lovingly furnished and provides additional unexpected features such as children's games and a range of DVD options for the whole family. The outdoor space is excellent and perfect for sitting out and enjoying the spectacular views. The on-site activities are great for young children (park, zip wire etc.) and it even has its own pub restaurant with scheduled entertainment most nights! We couldn't fau...more
we got there waited over an hour for food only 6 people in restaurant when came sausage raw complained night time went down fro entertainment very poor also short staffed on bar waited 40 mins to be served terrible
Lodge is in lovely spot overlooking green large area and mountains we were blessed with lovely weather so used the nice veranda most days the lodge was clean and well eqiupped lovely park nice and qiuet pooch was impressed with surrounding walks 5 min by car to windermere hope to return soon
We loved staying in Grandpa's Lodge. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The kitchen provided for all our needs and matched our own gas hob and electric oven combination. The beds were comfortable. The central heating was efficient enabling us to dry out our swimming things overnight. The lake is just at the far end of the site. We were blessed with several sightings of wild deer close to the lodges. We made good use of the swimming pool and sauna - all well worth the £15.00 charge per stay. We did not actually use the cafeteria/bar but the menu looked good. The kids enjoyed the on site play...more
We have been to limefitt park before but this was the first time we stopped at sunnybank lodge. The park was its usual self, well maintained and peaceful. Sunnybank lodge was excellent, very clean and modern. We could not fault the lodge at all, inside and out. We did not have very good weather that week (that’s the way it goes with the lakes) but if we had it would have been great to able to open the folding door and the other door onto the decking and sit looking down the valley and the lovely view. Also a nice welcome pack was left for us which was a nice surprise. Definitely will be back n...more
I cannot fault Windermere Lodge, The lodge was very clean when we arrived inside and outside. The décor used in the lodge is very cosy and comforting as well as modern. The lodge itself is quite secluded even though you have lodges either side you are secluded by hedges especially round the hot tub which is where I spent most of my time. Very quite also. The lodge is in a good location even though you can not see the lake from the lodge you walk 1 minute down the road and then you are their. Also to the clubhouse and shop not far at all. Every morning and night I went to the lake to fe...more
The cabin was fantastic with good facilities. It was in a very nice location. The garden furniture could of been wiped down before our stay as it was full of cob webs and spiders therefore we was unable to sit outside. There was a few cob webs within the cabin above the curtains other than these it was excellent. When you pay alot of money for a cabin you expect it to be prestine.
We had a lovely weekend at Damson Lodge. Everything we needed in the lodge and very clean. Great location and easy access to Windermere and Ambleside. Would definitely go back there.
Lovely lodge for our break. Hot tub was very relaxing. Lodge was well appointed and clean. Our only issue was a dirty grill pan left in the oven. Would love to stay there again but I believe it’s not going to be available next year.
Even though the weather wasnt good we had a lovely short break away. The lodge was very nice . Modern, spacious and very tastefully decorated . A real home from from home and the location of the park is lovely and relaxing .
Had a great time at squirrels snug. The hot tub was amazing after long walk in to Ambleside. Amazing!
We very much enjoyed staying at Valley view. The lodge had a lovely homely atmosphere and we were properly able to relax and enjoy the facilities on offer. The pub was great too and the park was in an excellent location for visiting attractions.
Beautiful clean lodge with all home comforts. Amazing views from the lodge. Perfect location for walking with our dog and exploring the Lake District.
Only one thing wrong with the lodge is the decking could do with some tlc other wise it was perfect , I've always found it clean and well equipped , love the hot tub
Lovely stay. Chalet was great. Plenty of space. Very safe for Alfie the dog. Hot tub amazing. Weather was against us rain everyday so patio a bit slippy. No fault of site obviously. Restaurant and pub excellent. Staff very friendly.
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here for our 30th birthday with our 10 month old daughter. Upon arrival, we were really impressed with the lodge as it was clean and had everything we needed including a washing machine and a dishwasher. I was surprised at how modern the lodge was. The kitchen and bathrooms are finished off very nicely and the shower in the en suite is amazing! The hot tub was by far my favourite part, I was a bit sad when i got home and didnt have it! I had read some reviews complaining that it wasnt private enough but if you park your car up next to the lodge nobody can s...more
Our first time staying at Limefitt park. The Latterbarrow lodge was very cosy with everything that we needed. Beautiful surroundings & plenty of walks to choose from. The site was very clean & the staff were pleasant. We ate in the Haybarn a couple of times. The food was very good. We would recommend Limefitt to our friends. We will hopefully return next year
Well equipped, clean and modern with fabulous sunset view of the lake. Value for money and easy booking process. Access to choices health club was a nice touch. Whitecross bay provides a good base to explore the area. Well recommended
Could not fault this lodge, beautiful inside and out. Perfect location. Would highly recommend to anybody. Probably the nicest place in the uk!
Stayed at ramblers lodge for a week my wife me and puppy had a fantastic time great lodge great place to chill out would recommend it to friends
An excellent lodge located in a good area of the resort, located at the end of the 'road', yet pathway providing a short way to the main resort amenities. The lodge was well laid out and comfortable, the wifi being available was an extra bonus. This was our second stay at this lodge and it won't be the last.
Excellent stay again, great lodge, very quiet location, and a five minute walk into Bowness. Looking forward to the next time already....
Just stayed for 4 nights. the lodge is in great condition and is set in the perfect location for access to Bowness. No complaints.
This is the second time we have stayed in this lodge and would definitely book again. The location is perfect at the top of a cul de sac. The facilities are great and the cabin has the advantage of 2 bathrooms I highly recommend
Lodge was very clean and comfortable. Excellent view of the lake and just a 5 minute taxi ride to windermere itself
Lovely lodge, beautiful views, lovely park (although a lot more could be added like a bigger shop, more activities for the kids like archery or a club/centre for them maybe evening discos etc.) The free access to the local swim spa and gym was a nice touch however it wasn’t the best. The pool wasn’t anything to shout about, the changing facilities were poor and dirty no private rooms etc. The lodge was very comfy and very posh and it was one of the cheapest options. A lot was included. However better WiFi is needed and whoever cleans it needs to pay more attention to detail. Streaky tiles/...more
We have stayed in a few lodges booked through Lake District Lodge Holidays and always found the lodges to be clean and of a good standard. However, this lodge was dirty when we arrived. The floors were very unclean and covered in dog hair and the lodge had a distinct ‘dog’ smell (presumably from the owners own dog), we have a toddler so this was hardly ideal. When contacting Lake District Lodges, they were extremely helpful and arranged for the lodge to be cleaned again. They also informed us that this lodge is privately owned so the owners source their own cleaners. I wouldn’t be put off fr...more
Another fabulous stay at Rowan Lodge our 4th so far and back again in November.Superb location lovely, cosy, dog friendly ,well equipped lodge and Limefitt Park is definitely one of the best places to stay in The Lakes.
The lodge was exceptionally clean, all modern facilities and spacious. The welcome book contained lots of useful information and the site itself was a stunning location with a good play area and a traditional pub - good food, along with darts and pool. No hesitation in recommending.
Lovely site, lovely static .. had a blast !! Would definitely recommend .. Perfect for dogs too Brilliant stay
The lodge it self was lovely and Beautiful. The condition of it was brilliant We loved the lounge and the decor. The lodge was nice and clean perfect for the weekend Thank you for the complimentary biscuits Also the DVD collection and games provided were greatly appreciated
we stayed here end of September we arrived later than expected due to traffic, we found access to the key difficult as it was very dark and no lights on around the lodge, if arriving at night do take a torch. once we were in the lodge was great very clean and cosy everything we needed for our stay, could tell the owners have taken pride in its appearance, the hot tub was lovely and well maintained. we look forward to another visit in the future.
It was a beautiful lodge in a lovely location. Would stay again. Hot tub was a bonus and very private.
Nice stay, lovely lodge. Pans in the kitchen could be newer as some are a bit worn. Nice quiet area and great hot tub.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and homely Lodge. Lovely to see all the birds attracted by the bird feeders. Bonus of being allowed dogs and then an area for them to exercise first thing. Everything was provided - great to have lots of games etc.
Stayed for 4 nights late Sept. Booking was extremely easy and hassle free. Lodge location is excellent with great views from the decking area and pretty central within the park. Condition and cleanliness cannot be faulted and if returning to Limefitt would have no hesitation on booking this lodge again. Only downside was the on site pub the Haybarn was shut for the majority of our stay for maintenance issues, which has no bearing on the lodge itself. We would certainly return here again as it is an outstanding location.
Stayed in a beautiful lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery...ideal location for Windermere And Bowness on the Lakes. Recommend a boat trip and Brockholes. Will definitely be returning. Great weather while we were there made the experience even better.
Really lovely lodge in a quiet area of the park. Kitchen is well equipped. Comfy reclining sofa. Plenty storage space.
Love this lodge lovely park and brilliant location for our walking activities. Did have a couple of hiccups with the hot tub not working and bed linen not being there but it was resolved with very quickly.
Lovely comfortable lodge in a good location. Pet friendly. Had decking with gate so didn't have to worry about dogs getting out. Would recommend
Beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. Love these lodges for their location in the park and being so close to Bowness is a big bonus for us.
Fantastic area, facilites, very clean. Only scored Good for comfort and condition due to chair been broken which meant 3 adults had to squeeze on uncomfortable sofa. The sun lounger bench had no cushions also bolts had eroded so had to be careful when sitting on it. We would visit again.
Everything I have about the holiday are at the Bolton of this form the lodge was very nice the view was lovely everything you needed was there beds were comfy bathe rooms were clean kitchen had all you needed
We have stayed here numerous times and the place is very clean, comfy and gets very warm. Will be returning next year, lovely place!
A lovely place to stay .limefitt is always great and very dog friendly.just need to pay more attention to the cleaning in the lodge.! But apart from that it was great.
Lodge was clean and spacious and in a good location. The site is great for walks too and if you have a dog the dog field and shallow river is great. Lovely on- site pub too and food was good after a long walk! Would recommend!!
The lodge was nice inside, spacious, clean and tidy. The first thing we noticed was the 'blown' double glazed patio door which was full of condensation, which didn't give us a very good first impression. The settee and chairs were worn and uncomfortable as quite old but overall it was ok. The hot tub wasn't ready for us when we arrived so we had to wait until the following day before we could use it. The outside area we thought needs attention. The decking was always wet, the hot tub old and the patio furniture needs replacing with something more comfortable and modern. We felt the lodges ...more
This was my first trip to LD with my friends and family and we loved it. Location, friendliness, cleanliness it was all perfect. 5 stars!
Absolutely lovely place. The lodge had everything you could need for a mini break. The location was very relaxing and quiet. We also had some lovely meals in the Haybarn Inn. The hot tub was very welcoming after long walks around Windermere. And to top it all the lodge lived up to its name. Lots of little robins in the bushes !!.xxx
My wife & I, along with out 2 miniature dachshunds recently returned from a 10 day break at Whitecross Bay, staying in Oakwood Lodge for the 4th time in 5 years. Oakwood Lodge is positioned in an excellent location, tucked away at the very end of a cul-de-sac, so it's very quiet. Our 4th experience of Oakwood Lodge is a little mixed & although it provides a very homely & warm feel the decor & some of the furniture could do with upgrading, as this has not changed since our 1st visit, therefore things are looking a bit tired. This is a shame because Oakwood once held a Diamond rating due to i...more
Puddleduck lodge was a beautiful lodge, well equipped and very comfortable. Booking was easy and check-in was simple. The owners have worked hard to make this lodge a home from home, by adding a lot of creature comforts. However, some attention is required to sort the television signals, but this didn’t affect us as we were too busy enjoying the hot tub and beautiful surroundings. The customer service team for Lake District Lodge Holidays we’re extremely helpful and went above and beyond, especially when I left several items of clothes in the wardrobe. Having only realised my mistake 6hours ...more
Lodge was clean and well equipped with enough space for cooking, dining and relaxing. However as we were four pensioners the twin beds were a little small. Everything else was to a high degree.
The Lodge was old but well preserved and homely. The hot tub was excellent but weather was challenging. It did not stop raining. The pup was nice but food was poor in my opinion even for a pump quality. Overall nice site, friendly atmosphere and high recommended to friends and family. Will certainly consider revisiting
We had a great time but felt a few little things could be better: a few light bulbs out, pots and pans need renewing and showers a bit more powerful. Other than that, lovely stay.
Jinnyspinner is a great lodge in a lovely position on Limefitt overlooking the beck. Warm and welcoming inside with everything you could want for a relaxed break in this idyllic location
Woodmere lodge was lovely and quiet area of the park. The hot tub was a added bonus. We did alot of visiting Ambleside and the Chocolate factory at Hawkshead was excellent for the children on a rainy day. We were disappointed that we were not informed that we had to book swimming pool in advance therefore had to drive to Keswick for a public pool.
When we arrived at Roe Deer lodge it was lovely and clean, very modern and a home away from home! The weather in the lakes wasn't the best but we had no problem relaxing in the lodge! We had an issue with the hot tub which has overheated when we arrived however one phone call to the park and we had someone to help within half an hour and it was sorted and ready to use! The staff across all the park, reception (even gave my mother in law their own staff sweetners as they didn't have any in the shop!) Pub and park were all so friendly! I can't recommend this place enough and I'm sure we will ...more
A nice Lodge, however if you removed one of the sofa beds in the lounge and replaced it with a comfortable settee that would be better. The hot tub should have a screen around to give it more privacy.
Excellent for someone with a disability although not huge amounts of room if you needed to remain in a wheelchair. There is a wonderful carpet but again the hinders wheelchair use in the lodge as I would have been concerned about ruining the carpet with a dirty chair - and it was wet during our stay! Very well equipped with the general stuff. A modestly priced lodge which was perfectly acceptable.
Family celebration weekend at this comfortable clean lodge. The Jacuzzi made it for us all. Had worried about some of the previous posts, but we found the lodge very comfortable and clean and well equipped.. We did have a problem with the heating but maintenance were very prompt to sort this out. Chose this property as the third bedroom was two full size single beds and not bunks, so suited our requirementsWe would return.
First time in a log cabin for me and my partner and we were pleasantly surprised, spacious, tall ceilings and never feeling cramped like in a caravan. On arrival easy to get to with road signs, popped into reception checked in quick and easy and were shown exactly where the lodge was, didn’t feel stressed about getting lost. Lodge is in a perfect location as only 2 minute walk to the complex, and 5 minutes down to the lake, perfect! We chose this lodge as it was in a cul de sac and felt it would be more private. Lovely and quiet felt so relaxed the whole time especially with the hot tub ! Only...more
Excellent accommodation for family or friends, location is very good for walkers and hikers, enjoyed our stay very much
We stayed in Acorn Lodge for 4 nights and we couldn’t fault it. The lodge had everything you needed. It is situated close to the lake where it was peaceful and we enjoyed most evening being able to relax on the decking area as we were lucky with the weather. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you for the lovely stay.
Nice comfortable clean lodge, quiet location. Amenities on site for rainy days, a short drive from Bowness on Windermere
We have been to this lodge before but this time we were really disappointed.Sweet papers and crumbs under the cushions, finger marks all over the patio door windows, broken hinge on cupboard door over the microwave. The TVis a joke ,,wires hanging down from it,wasn,t working on arrival and we had to point the remote into the corner of the room to change channels. In our opinion this lodge felt tired and a little shabby.Great views though.
1st stay at Badgers Rest Lodge very comfortable and clean . The lodge has a lovely view over the playing field which was lovely and peaceful. Would happily return back to the lodge . The Hay barn pub on site is fabulous, lovely food served and made to feel welcome by the lovely staff highly recommend .
We had an amazing stay at Pinehaven Lodge, White Cross Bay. This was our 3rd visit. We had a mix of ages in our party from ages 6 to 76 and there was something for everyone. The location is fab. Would highly recommend Lake District Lodge Holidays. Looking forward to our next break. Thank you LDLH.
Everything about our stay was hassle free from check in to check out. The staff were lovely and helpful and the clubhouse was a great base for our adventures in the Lakes. The lodge was in a lovely peaceful surrounding and had everything we needed for our stay.
We stayed at the lodge last year and really enjoyed the stay, the lighting wasn`t great in the living room but other than that everything was fine, however on site arrival this time we found the key that was in the key lock was completely bent over and we couldnt get access to the lodge for over an hour but it was soon resolved from the help of the maintenance guys on site. we also noticed the front railings were very loose and wasn`t secure for my dogs, all we could do is place a chair next to it and just hope the dogs didnt find them but on the Sunday they did.....:( :( we spent at least 2 ...more
Our lodge was gorgeous but we found the heating a bit inadequate. It was very cold at times and we had to wear shawls at times. A lovely maintenance man did come and explain how it works but it did not help the situation. The local restaurant and bar was lovely but didn't like the barking dogs allowed in. Unfortunately I left a heat pad on the bed and a pair of glasses but have not heard if they were found. The lodge windows need cleaning. We would highly recommend this lodge. Thank you.
Lodge was very there is a nice restaurant on site which has very nice meals of good quality and reasonable reception was very helpful and informative we had a lovely rest and hit tub was great. Our dog loved the run outside the lodge where he could be off the lead bit disappointing with the wooded area as not very big.
Stopped here for a week, we had one problem which was sorted within 24 hrs,so cant fault it for customer service .
We had a fantastic holiday overall due to the location of the property and holiday park. Great location to access lots of beautiful places. The entertainment on site was great for our children and the staff seemed helpful and friendly. The lodge however, really could do with some care. It looks and smells unclean which is a real shame when you arrive with high expectations. Everything needs a good deep clean and many items could benefit from being replaced. The space is not an issue and we stayed with another family and didn't feel on top of one another. The hot tub wasn't clean in our opini...more
Never stopped on this side of Limefitt park and to be honest we prefer the other side but got to admit it was very quiet but unfortunately didn’t have the views we are used to, Hot Tub was a good addition after long Morning walks or evening after tiring days.
We absolutely loved our stay at at spiral steps .The lodge was very different to lodges I have stayed in , the spiral steps are a great feature to the lodge , we had beautiful weather so we actually used the spiral steps to the little area which was a proper sun trap , the lodge was really big and the bath was a added bonus too . Totally going to book again for next year as we loved it ..
