This apartment could be ok if it had some work on it. Although the lounge / kitchen was large and ok the rest of the apartment let it down. Maintenance appears to be none existent with request to replace bathroom bulb and filthy frying pan was not dealt with during our 2 week stay! As for the bedrooms they can only be described as dismal, uninviting and smell of damp. The old wooden furniture in both bedrooms need to be removed and replaced by fresh and clean items because this is where I believe the damp odour originates from. Likewise carpets have seen better days.
Bathrooms are ok but once again mould showing around joints and radiators going rusty. I did find out that this property is up for sale? So that might be why nothing seems to be done. So not an apartment I would not recommend.
Strangely I also booked 7 The brothers from this company for my family. That was lovely and clean and modern.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We have raised all your issues with both Abbey Management and the owner. It is always lovely to receive positive reviews but it is this sort of review that is extremely helpful in allowing us to deal with any issues that have arisen. The property management company have taken your comments onboard and will liaise with the cleaning team to ensure excellence with the cleaning standards are met at all times. As an on-site management company they have a supply of replacement items such as frying pans and assure us that no request was made for replacement of this item. They are aware that the light fitting is problematic in the bathroom, which offers over the mirror lighting and this is in their work flow to be replaced by an electrician at the earliest opportunity. Regarding the aesthetic and furnishing of the property, this particular owner has opted for more traditional interiors which are reflected in the photos. We wanted to thank you for your comments and will act on them all; this particular property receives a large number of reservations due to its ground floor location close to parking and therefore requires a close eye on standards. We really loved the old Abbey and did our best to make use of all the facilities from playing outside chess and tennis to lovely hot saunas after the day's activity with Active Highs (white water rafting then canyoning!! -highly recommended). The Boathouse restaurant on the banks of Loch Ness provide beautiful evening views complementing great food.
Unfortunately the ground floor apartment situated in the Old Armoury is damp with no ventilation making it impossible for anything to dry and all clothes had to be washed when we came home because of the smell. We were lucky it didn't rain which would have further exacerbated the problem. Apart from that issue the apartment was fine and we would definitely recommend the Highland Club.

Great place to stay. Clean & comfortable & the lounge & pool area were a bonus after a hard day exploring.

I would recommed the owners to stay a few days in their apartment en do some maintenace. Mainly in the bathroom where sinks are not thightly fit and toilets are leaking. Doors need repair and a rusty wastebin needs to be replaced. After a good clean-up and an update of the guest informationbook it will be a fabulous place to stay.

We thank you for your considered and frank comments regarding the apartment. Good reviews are always uplifting as it means we are doing things right however more important is your feedback when we have not met customer expectations. This particular apartment is popular as it is ground floor with easy access to parking and the beautiful gardens. Therefore it suits guests with low mobility, only a handful of properties fit this criteria. Subsequently this property has had a significant amount of wear and tear. Nevertheless maintenance has clearly slipped and I wanted to reassure you that the owners both proactive and customer focused and are acting on all your observations. We have allocated a team to address the bathroom issues and are in the process of updating the welcome book. The owner is visiting the property in person upon your suggestion and will replace any worn items and assess the decor. Thank you once again for your comments.
