I was a bit dubious about staying in a converted monastery but glad we did. Converted to a very high standard with space to spread out and enjoy the well appointed apartment which had everything you need and more. Two bathrooms were an added bonus. Perfect location very convenient for exploring the highlands. Quiet site with stunning views across Loch Ness. Local boathouse restaurant was very nice too. Would I recommend yes and would I book again yes too.

Thank you for taking the time to review Abbey Church 3. We are pleased that your accommodation and the Monastery exceeded you expectation. We are pleased that you enjoyed eating at The Boat House restaurant which is conveniently located in the grounds of the Monastery. We hope you will visit us again soon. Kind regards Joanne Nicholson

Disappointing stay at potentially fantastic old Abbey

Disappointing stay at what should be a fantastic spot. The old Abbey has been updated well but far too many service and provision issues, especially for a very high priced accommodation.
Positives:
- Location right on Loch Ness and fairly central for exploring the Highlands
- The Abbey and grounds are beautiful
- Modern kitchen and appliances
Need Improvement:
- Furnishings in upgraded 2 bedroom apt were poor quality and comfort
- Utensils and appliances provided but no "basic essentials" like dishwasher/washing soaps, cooking oil, etc
- Very limited supplies available in town (only a small petrol station market)
- WiFi basically unusable
- Responses from support workers limited with no concern for customers
- Onsite restaurant just OK and served Turkish food at a Scottish resort
- Heavy doors in apartments slam shut and randomly have latches to open
- Appear more focused on selling units than serving visitors

We don't recommend - can do much better for the money! Shame . . .

We loved the location. Facilities such as the tennis, table tennis, pool and residents lounge were great to keep the kids happy - especially if weather not so good. Our accommodation was good for a family, a welcome pack consisting of milk, kitchen roll, spare bin bags, dishwasher tabs and washing up liquid would have been useful on arrival, in preference to the wine, which was also welcome, but not so useful - this is usually provided with self -catering.

Our welcome from Sue on arrival was friendly and informative.
