Absolutely great place to stay - couldn't say better things about Rookley! Spotlessly clean, amazing facilities and incredibly beautiful setting!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to anyone. The location was ideal being in the centre of the town for being close to the shops, restaurants, pubs and buses. The only downside was the gate to the street which was very difficult to open especially when you are carrying bags.
This house has everything for a family or large group of friends the location is perfect a short drive gets you to Ventnor and the beaches Beautiful beds Beautiful rooms Large kitchen and two reception rooms Great garden for bbqs We loved it
Perfectly situated, beautifully furnished. Communication was good. Dishwasher wasn’t working & wasn’t emptied; lacked toilet enough toilet roll. Nothing that would deter us booking again!
We had a great stay at willow oak. The cottage is comfy and has everything you need, including lots for children- bowls/cutlery /toys and lots of books. Beds were really comfy too. The cottage is a short walk to the beach, in a peaceful residential area. A great location to explore the island!
Excellent Accommodation - Garage space a bit restricted which we were aware of from the adverts before travelling.
Very comfortable and lovely sea views, very easy with our dogs well kept apartment with everything you need.
We had a fabulous stay at 2 St Rhadagunds Cottages. The house was beautifully decorated and immaculate with a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Well equipped and fantastic hot tub. Good location and we’d definitely recommend.
The property was absolutely stunning, very high spec and luxurious. Everything you could ever need was thought of and provided, right down to sandwich bags and washing liquid! An excellent location in the heart of Godshill and a very short walk to the main attraction of the model village. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend it. Our son didn’t want to leave to come home!
Fantastic week stay. Views and location are just perfect. The house is beautiful. Please be aware the accommodation is over 4 floors and it’s a long way from the bottom to the top! This was not a problem for us and the views from the top balconies are beautiful. The house is very well kitted out. The only thing that let it didn’t for us was the beds. They are all very firm so no one slept that well. We’d definitely come back again though and hope to! Thanks for having us.
This is a lovely 3 bedroom property with great clean facilities. Nearly everything was perfect so please take this as a positive review and I am only pointing out the minor shortfalls. 1. They are still building the site, this means the pathway on one side of the road is closed. This makes it difficult to cross the main road with a pushchair 2. There is some musci from hotel bars and bars in the evening. Nothing bad BUT you can't easily have the window open until 2100 3. The curtains are really thin and let a lot of light in. This is a real problem with kids. I would recomend some blacko...more
Pilot View was a very satisfactory holiday home with good access to other areas of the island. The outside area was disappointing and not a very comfortable place to sit although we were not at the house very much during the day. With some relatively simple updating such as a coat of paint on the outside wall it could be made a lot more attractive. We enjoyed our stay but were always mindful of the busy road with 2 young children in our party and feel this should be reflected in brochure information.
Great modern apartment with a front door next to the beach. Good location and comes with parking which is super handy. Recommended!
We booked this place as a surprise for my Husbands 30th Birthday. He had always wanted to go to the Isle of Wight and it had a Hot tub which I knew my other half loved. The property itself was great and smelt like it had been freshly painted recently which was great to see that the property had been well kept. We had an issue with the Ice Machine in the property which we were able to resolve after a quick phone call to the company that ran the house. It is very spacious and has three double bedrooms which is exactly what we wanted when we booked. One downside with the downstairs bedroom was th...more
Niggles: The kitchen bin was broken, the blind in the toilet was missing, parking could be challenging and no guidance was given on which car parks to use. We appreciate this is a shared building, but the upstairs occupant was given to continuous loud humming: might not bother some, but it was intrusive. Internet access felt as if it was time limited - disappeared first thing in the day, but reappeared around 9am. Otherwise it was fine. Positives: The location for a seaside holiday is fantastic. Walk down to the front and turn left (with some local advice) and you have a wonderful bre...more
Honest review but definitely recommended stay. We are a family with 2 kids under 4 and a Golden Retriever. We were looking for an open plan house where we could be comfortable if the weather wasn’t good. The house is a beautifully done barn conversion with a very open plan downstairs area. The barn house an enclosed outside area safe for dogs and kids. Inside it has been decorated very nice and it has all you need. The area is very close to pretty much all the attractions on that side of the Island and has a great variety of walks/bridle ways close by. The pub opposite offers incredible food....more
We stayed for the Isle of Wight Festival. Superb location as 10mins from bus stop and 20 min walk to Cowes. Tucked away location at end of a lane. Very quiet, fully equipped with lovely decoration. Spiral staircase to a superb, super comfy bedroom. Enclosed , south facing garden with BBQ equipment. Friendly phone contacts / info with host. Great base to explore the Island. Would definitely recommend and we will return !
We were pleased with our choice as Briar bank is a centrally located property and furnished / decorated to a high standard.
We went as a family holiday with 3 small children and our parents and had plenty of space for all. A high chair and travelcot provided made it much easier and the location right next to the park and beach was perfect for spending sunny afternoons down there. It seems to be a great location for exploring the island we did a few trips to local attractions and all were short journeys. Would definitely recommend staying easily walkable to Ryde and a short hop to Tesco for any essentials you might need.
The house is very spacious and has all you could wish for in the kitchen /lounge/garden and all en-suite bedrooms great and a fabulous sunny balcony but there is a huge problem as there are no curtains in any of the bedrooms roller blinds are just not enough when the sun comes up at 5 in the morning everyone is awake and by the end of the week none of us had had a good nights sleep if this was fixed we would definitely come back and recommend it to others also the master bedroom bathroom did not have a shower and no coverings at all at the windows so no one stayed in that room at all which is ...more
The cottage itself is lovely and cosy, lovely kitchen and I myself loved the cooker, however personally we found it a bit cramped for 4 adults, 1 child and two medium size dogs. There was really no garden just a small yard. We had some issues with the shower overflowing due to a blockage in the drain, a smell in the bathroom down stairs presumably from blockages of the drain. We also find the parking for two large cars impossible. To sum it all up we did have a nice time, cottage quite convenient to Shanklin, Sandown and shops. And would suit a couple more than a family.
