Fantastic stay in this spacious cottage. We also rented the Annex for our family and their friends and it worked perfectly. The cleanest cottage we've stayed in and also a great big log burner to warm us up after our lengthy walks and dry the walking boots.
A car is a necessity.

We rented the Clachan “complex” (consisting of the Farmhouse, Cottage and Annex) for a deer stalking week. We were able to comfortably cater for 10/15 people utilising the Annex kitchen in conjunction with the Farmhouse kitchen. It worked well. Definitely recommend.

Atholl Estates staff very helpful, booking process easy. Cottage spacious enough, furniture functional. It could be easily made a very comfortable 5-star let. Ditch modern furniture keep it 'country'. Better towelling etc. Regardless: we enjoyed it and would happily return.

We booked the Cottage, Annexe and Farmhouse for a family & friends getaway. The properties could not have been more perfect in terms of location and layout. We loved it as a base and the farmhouse kitchen worked brilliantly for dinner parties each evening! We will be returning!!

We spent last week in Perthshire at Clachan Farmhouse and we had a fantastic holiday. The house is so welcoming and relaxing and provides everything you might need. It was extremely clean and comfortable and is set in the most wonderful, scenic location which makes you feel you are in the middle of nowhere when in fact you are just minutes away from both the House of Bruar and Blair Atholl village. There is so much to see in the immediate area as well as slightly further afield. Will definitely return.

We have booked several times with Atholl Estates at the Farmhouse or the Annex and never been disappointed. Prior stays had been at the Annex. This was the first time we have been able to book the Farmhouse and we intend to keep returning on an annual basis. When you travel all the way from Pocatello, Idaho, USA to Scotland, it is very nice to know that you can depend on quality assistance and an absolutely wonderful place to stay. It remains our "home away from home"!

Four single ladies so we booked the interconnecting annex as well. Suited us perfectly. Supper woodburner stove with wood supplied for our 3 nights. Spacious rooms. Lovely big fridge, super Rangemaster cooker. Delightful location.

Clachan Farmhouse is a great place to stay to visit the surrounding area. It has beautiful views and a wonderful kitchen to cook and gather round with loved ones. My favorite part was the living room with the wood burning fireplace. We spent our cold evenings warm by the fire and watched movies.

My third stay in Atholl Estates accommodation, it would have been four stays but for Covid! Always great, all staff are friendly and helpful. A few blemishes in the properties but nil of concern and with dogs and a grandchild this is a relief not a grievance.
Nice to have a choice of properties of different size in order to choose suitable properties for a couple or ten adults and a child. We took all the Clachan properties.
Deer stalking was great but fairly hard for me at 65 with crunchy knees although the younger generation were much fitter. The policy of a fixed fee to cull a stag that the stalker selects is to be commended and should improve the gene pool whereas trophy fees risk putting short term profit ahead of herd improvement.
Be warned, The House of Bruar is dangerously near from a financial perspective! The venison sausages are outstanding in appearance and taste. The Ayrshire Smoke Middle Bacon was also great. Many other temptations.

Clachan Farmhouse is really special and very well equipt in all departments . Clean and comfortable with wonderful views and a pleasent garden. If I had to criticise it would be that going for a walk involved narrow lanes and the local people at times drove very fast. However we were able to walk our digs in a nearby field which was lovely. as long as the field was free of sheep. Some of the pictures in the house very strange and not really in keeping.other than that well worth a visit.

Farmhouse was very clean & comfortable. The location was perfect to enjoy the Gathering festivities at Blair Castle (which was the purpose of my stay). A couple of the appliances were a little tough for me to figure out as I am not from UK and there were not instruction manuals. Sometimes icons are not descriptive enough to operate the machines. The hob was mystery because I didn't realize that pans needed to be on the burners in order for them to warm up. Also, I didn't understand why the dryer kept turning itself while I tried to dry a load of clothes. Other guests might not have these difficulties. Especially the dryer acting up gave me difficulties having to pack wet clothes Management should consider providing instructions manuals in the welcome book.

We visit the Blair Atholl area regularly and were so pleased to find this property. We hadn’t stayed here before and it was just perfect. Big, spacious, well equipped and in a lovely area for walking/hiking. Taking our dog is most important to us and the immediate area around suited perfectly for walks. It is easy to get to being just off the A9 but yet is quiet and safe. Will definitely be back.
