Set in an idyllic rural location, the two comfortable holiday cottages are fully-equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. So you can relax, take in the glorious views, enjoy the tranquillity and watch the sun go down over the patchwork of fields.
Simply step outside your door to explore the surrounding countryside; the pub is in walking distance (just 1.5 miles away) and there is plenty to see and do nearby. We look forward to welcoming you soon!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage and what a stunning location. The cottage was equipped with everything you would ever need while staying away self catering. We only had four nights this time but we can't wait to go back in November. We have both recommended it to a nunber of people already.
A perfect home from home stay. Beautiful views and wonderful location. Thank you again for an excellent stay.

Our stay at Patson was brief but very enjoyable. The location is stunning with wonderful views across green meadows. Our accommodation was very comfortable with every need provided for. Everything in the accommodation was good quality with plenty of room for 2 people.

Although different from the pictures as the kitchen and bathroom have both been upgraded and a fenced and planted courtyard added, a beautiful place to stay. Ron and Jill made us very welcome and were ideal hosts. The cottage is beautiful, set in glorious surroundings and we were able to enjoy some picturesque walks and delightful sunsets! Sherborne Castle Gardens are well worth a visit, our camera went into overdrive! Just the peace and tranquility, together with the bird song made it a very special break. We definitely hope to visit again. Thank You.

This was our 11th visit to Patson Hill and it was as good as ever. Peace and quiet and first class comfort. Thanks Ron and Jill for another great break.

Compton Cottage is located a short drive from the unspoilt town of Sherborne and is easily reached from either the A30 or A303. Set on a working farm, Compton Cottage offers comfortable accommodation with a cosy feel and plenty of character. The westerly views from both the lounge and bedroom across open countryside are wonderful. Apparently, Glastonbury Tor can been seen from above the farm on a fine day. The cottage, which has recently been partially refurbished, is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped should you wish to cook in-house. There is a private but smallish out door space to take advantage of. The owners are most friendly and helpful should the need arise. From the cottage, to the south, the Dorset coast can be reached within an hours or so's drive via Bridport or Weymouth (Portland Bill). To the north are several National Trust properties, The Fleet Air Arm museum and the East Somerset Railway which are all within a reasonable drive. We had a lovely relaxing time at Compton Cottage spending everyday exploring the local and not so local attractions and are planning a revisit in the Autumn.

We had a wonderful four days at Patson Hill Farm, and our hosts Jill & Ron were welcoming, friendly and exceedingly helpful, they even laid on wall to wall sunshine for us. The cottage itself (Sandford) had everything you could possibly need and was immaculate and comfortable. The farm is in a glorious position with amazing views over the countryside and just a few miles from Sherborne - although watch out for road closures in Sherborne, you may go round a few times trying to get out!

We will return!
