We had a fabulous time at Broombank for my mums 60th birthday. The house was better than the images and very comfortable with all you could need for a family stay.
A gorgeous location - all in all very happy and would absolutely stay again!

Wonderful location, wonderful home and wonderful host.

Even though I didn't stay for long (unfortunately!), the feedback from everyone was really positive and they found the house really homely and loved the peaceful and discreet setting.

Little touches like leaving towels for the dog and the welcome note with the wine and chocolate was really lovely!

Broombank house is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous and the main bedroom is absolutely amazing. The kitchen is lovely and it’s such a nice accommodation for a larger group.

We felt a bit upset when talking with an agent closer to the date of our stay who questioned the nature of our party, and we had to have a zoom call with the owner for them to check we were suitable. This was a week before our stay (after having paid), and our wedding weekend, so this felt a bit worrying. Having met the owner, James, he was very nice, and it wasn’t a problem in the end. I do feel that communication with the agents for New Forest Escapes possibly needs to be addressed however.

There were a couple of issues such as the door in between the utility room and hallway which was very tricky to close, and there was an issue with the hot water however we were pre-warned of this and James responded really quickly when we needed some support to put the immersion on.

We would love to go again to Broombank house as he had such a nice feel about it - so homely and comfortable and special.

With parts of the family living abroad and parts spread across the UK, Broombank provided the perfect location for us all to spend time together.
It was so spacious, well equipped and comfortable.
Thank you for a lovely 'escape' in the New Forest

We stayed at Broombank for a 40th birthday celebration, with the group spanning 3 generations from 2-78 and this house worked so well for our group. It’s in a great location, with plenty to do on the doorstep and the amenities of the house are excellent.

We just had a great week at Broombank for my mum's 70th birthday. James greeted us on arrival and was very helpful showing us the property and giving recommendations of what to do in the area.

Despite the typically rainy British weather we made the most of our time, and Broombank really helped with that as it was such a lovely property to stay in. Lots of space, great facilities, and we appreciated the little touches like having enough dishwasher tablets and loo rolls.

The house was beautiful and well appointed, we found both the kitchen 'nook' and the lounge warm and inviting to spend the evenings in, and the games room was a huge hit for the kids (and the arcade machine a huge hit with the adults!). The hot tub got a lot of use as well, even during the hailstorm!!

We had a lovely time. The house was excellent, the children’s play room was a hit with the grandchildren (aged between 5 and 12) the hot tub was great fun. The children were able to play outside in the spacious garden. The kitchen is fully equipped, James is a brilliant host.

We (2 adults and 2 dogs) had a great break in the New Forest. The walks are fantastic and the property is in a great location within walk-in distance (1 mile) of the high street. The property is nice, in particular the kitchen, diner & seated area.

As opportunities, the hot tub was out of order the whole week and the water pump is quite noisy, especially if you get a glass of water in the night(!).

Overall, it’s a really lovely place we would recommend.

With a great location this house was spacious, well equipped and comfortable in all aspects.

A big kitchen that enabled the whole family to cook, and with a long dining room table. Ideal arrangement for our 3 generations visit.

An assortment of bedrooms to cater for adults and kids alike. Bathrooms galore -even one with a roll-top bath that the kids enjoyed at the end of an activity filled day.

A hot tub and croquette lawn, and roulette table and space invaders table top computer.
a couple of kids pedal cars - something for everyone.

All the beds had first class bedding and towels.

Thank you James for preparing the house and greeting us. Only wish we could have stayed longer than just the two nights. Next time.

This was a very welcoming house to stay in and we had a very relaxing holiday. The only comments I would make is that the bed sheets on the double beds did not fit properly and the carpet in the small en suite bathroom is very unappealing with many marks on it. Also, the paddling pool leaked and was virtually unusable. These are more quibbles than criticisms and overall we had a lovely time.

Broombank was a delightful house, masses of space for us all and really well equipped. James, the owner was superhelpful. a grat house to just chill in and for family events.

The house was perfect for our family celebration, however the splash pool and jacuzzi need attention and were rather ‘tired’. Otherwise the outdoor space was excellent and the house was well stocked with good quality appliances.

Broombank is somehow luxurious, comfortable and homely all at the same time.

Great for kids & adults. We stayed for a long weekend. We had 5 adults, 4 kids and an infant and the setup of rooms and beds was perfect.

The kids had an amazing time with all the toys and games. The adults enjoyed the lovely kitchen and the hot tub.

It’s in a gorgeous location too. We weren’t there long enough to get out and about but to be honest we really just enjoyed being in the house as it had so much to offer.

James the owner was great in helping us get set up when we arrived and made us feel at home. He then left us to enjoy the house in peace.

We can’t recommend this place highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Broombank was a perfect home from home for our large family to meet up: our teenagers loved having the Games room as a sort of den, plus they really got into playing croquet on the lawn!
Our adults delighted in the comfort of the house, the large kitchen with nearby cosy corner, the beautiful surroundings of the forest with accompanying birdsong and plentiful ponies. Lots of walks and cycle rides.
Burley is a lovely village and easy to pop down for any shopping (really great stores and special butchery).
All in all we had a great holiday week; thank you

Broombanks is a lovely, good-sized house in a really pretty part of the country, with walks into the Forest woods and heathland direct from the front gate. Quiet but not isolated, the house has a warm, relaxed feel. It's well equipped and spotlessly clean throughout, with loads of games/activities to occupy kids (and adults). There is plenty of space for people to find a quiet spot for themselves if they want, but great areas inside and out for family or group socialising too. A bonus for the kids were the New Forest ponies wandering up and down the lane outside the gate.
We booked it to celebrate my wife's big birthday with our family - it worked beautifully. James, the owner, was there when we arrived. He's really friendly and was obviously keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
We'd recommend this house with no reservations.

A wonderful stay, for a party of 12 (from 2 - 64 years old) in total celebrating a very special ladies big birthday. The communication from James, the house owner was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, even posting back a washbag we had forgotten on check out. We even had the log burners on and blazing for us when we arrived. Every possible thing you could think of (and that you didn't!) is catered for. The décor in all rooms is fabulous, as are the extremely comfy beds. The children absolutely loved the outdoor and indoor activities in the house and surrounding fields. We did not see them for much due to this! The location it self is very quiet, safe and secure. We had to battle with Storm Eunice for one night of our stay unfortunately, however this did not stop us making the most of the weekend. We would love to return in the summertime. The ponies that graze and roam freely are a special touch too. Shops only a short drive away, if needs be. Thank you once again to James and Co.

We had a truly wonderful weekend at Broombank to celebrate Grandmas birthday. Perfect location for a walk to see the views of the surrounding countryside. Beautiful house with plenty of space, warm and with a fabulous selection of entertainment for all ages.
Broombank owner has thought of everything, is always available if you need him. The house is so well equipped you really only need to take your own clothes and food.

We had such a fantastic weekend at Broombank celebrating my husbands birthday. The house is perfect for entertaining, no matter the age! Our group ranged from 3 - 81 and we all loved it. Had a wonderful long weekend and the house is beautiful and in a superb location. Kitchen has everything and more and whole place was spotless. NFE and James (owner) were great.

For the price though I’d expect WiFi to cover all the areas of the house especially as there is no reception anywhere for any providers (that we could find). WiFi only worked in the kitchen and barely there downstairs, non-existent upstairs... left us unable to communicate by any means with each other while arriving.

Also there are no stair gates or fire guards and a LOT of breakable items at toddler height. The breakables were easily moved and not a big issue but would be nice for parents of toddlers to have optional stair gates and a fire guard to be able to relax more. Oh and there’s no plate for the microwave so couldn’t use it... (?)

Last thing was that hot tub and heating weren’t on for when we arrived but did heat up after a few hours, hot tub wasn’t usable until next day though which for a short stay was a shame... don’t know if that can be sorted out?

These comments are truly only meant to give feedback in how to make a great stay perfect! Would definitely come again

We take feedback very seriously and will always follow up with our owners to see if and where improvements can be made. We have checked and the internet can be an issue given the forest location, but it is a work in progress to see if this can be improved. We are sorry you had bother with this. We understand you spoke with the owner regarding the hot tub when you arrived, this is very unfortunate but necessary as it is emptied, cleaned and refilled after each use for hygiene reasons then takes time to reheat. It is essential that it is cleaned between each guest. Stair gates are on order too! And an investigation as to where the microwave plate has gone is taking place -so sorry for this, its a mystery?! We hope these little things did not deter from your break there and really do hope you think of us for your next visit to the New Forest. Warm wishes from all at New Forest Escapes :)

Super property very relaxed homely feel with no end of facilities to entertain both adults and children.
Loved the gardens with so much space and garden games to entertain the children.
Spacious and comfortable beautifully furnished but also relaxed and plentiful resources in kitchen to cook and entertain in the open plan space.
The house was positioned in a lovely wooded setting with horses and deer wandering past
Idyllic we will be back.

We stayed here for a week with our family - 9 of us in total. The house was amazing - the location is beautiful, the gardens are huge, the house was immaculate and comfortable, and all of the extra facilities like the go carts and games room entertained the kids for hours. The kitchen had top of the range facilities and there was plenty of space for us not to be on top of each other.
We had a truly wonderful stay and would love to go back.
