Herdwick is a gorgeous property on Percy Wood Country Park. Complete with large terrace, sunken hot tub, for your privacy and tremendous views. In the heart of Northumberland you are central for all that the area has to offer, or if a relaxing break is called for just sit back and chill-out on the terrace and in the hot tub.

It's dog friendly and sleeps four guests in total luxurious comfort. There is free golf for all guests and free wifi should you need to work while you are staying.

Unlimited Golf included in price of holiday.

Very quiet and peaceful place. Location was good and service was good too. First look around everything looked great but as the days were going by by day 3 I started to find small things around the lodge regarding cleanliness that was not impressed by and made the rest of the stay unpleasant. There was dog hair pretty much everywhere (sofas, carpet and washing machine were the worst). As I’m not a dog owner that was something not very pleasant for me and my family as an experience.

Lovely quiet break away. Lodge lovely, clean, everything you need and great quiet location on the site. Nice to sit on the decking in the morning watching the sun rise & have breakfast! Good base to get to see Northumberland - no where to far to travel. Great customer service from Hemera Holidays.

We had a lovely time at the lodge. Hot tub was great and very clean and comfortable accommodation. only gripe was lack of sufficient essentials ie washing up liquid and toilet roll. We couldn't get the main cooker to work only the grill which did restrict our options.

Herdwick Lodge was simply outstanding. The lodge is equiped for everything you would need and more for a relaxing stay. The beds, pillows, sofas are all really comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean. The decking area has fabulous views & the hot tub (checked daily by Martin) is much larger than expected. I especially like that no other lodge is looking directly onto the decking, making it quite private. And to top it off, free wifi.
This is our second stay at Percy Wood & we will definitely be back to this lodge.
From booking to arrival, everything is so easy & the Hemera team are great at communicating, especially Martin & Louise who made our stay really special.

We had a fantastic time,could not fault anything with the lodge very well equipped with everything you need.Beautiful area very central to go visiting surrounding area's of interest. Local bars and cafe within 1 mile, excellent food and a great choice of beers also they are all dog friendly. Would definitely book again.

It was lovely, it was nice and clean and very comfortable beds, however, I’m not sure what they use in the hotub but I’m covered in a rash all over which is itchy, I’m not sure why it’s like this but just be careful!

Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, it was modern, comfortable, clean and highly equipped with everything you would need.
Peaceful and great location of the site, which was in good distance to all popular areas of Northumberland.
The only reason I rated it a 4 for cleanliness was because on the 4th night we were unable to use the hot tub as it started to smell, I don't think the worker had been to add the cleaning solution towards the end of our stay.
I would be happy to book again though...it was a really lovely holiday.

The lodge was amazing we would definitely return. The bari bar was great, but didn't provide food everyday, I think the return of the snack vans would be better. Wendy was very helpful with all our queries.

The lodge was excellent. A bit of luxury with everything needed for a superb holiday. The hot tub made it extra special. Only problem we had was the wifi which wasn’t great and wouldn’t connect to TV so viewing was limited. Didn’t spoil the holiday as the site is so central for touring the region and we were out every day and in the hot tub on an evening. Thank you for a great break. We will be back.

I recently spent 4 nights at the lodge with my teenage daughter, my friend and her teenage daughter. The lodge is well equipped and even has a dishwasher. The beds are so comfy and the single beds are full size for extra comfort. The outside area is gorgeous with lovely views and a sunken hot tub. It’s in a peaceful spot. Wendy and the girls were pleasant to deal with as always and can’t wait for my next holiday booked via them. Would definitely recommend this lodge.
