This is a beautiful setting for a break away in the countryside. A really novel place to stay that's a bit different but has everything you need. It does help when the sun shines so you can enjoy the deck, the views and sunsets. Very helpful owners and lovely to be able to walk around their farm, especially to visit the two black pigs!

My family and friends stayed at Black Pig Retreat and had a wonderful week. The safari tent was thoughtfully supplied with everything we could possibly need and the kids loved bug hunting in the meadow and walking through the woods. It was wonderful having a fire in the evening and toasting marshmallows and sitting on the veranda with a coffee in the morning. The accommodation was comfortable and I loved the wood burner.
Only two suggestions. Little lights on the steps at night as it was very dark going up and down the steps and a flatter area for the fire pit as chairs kept rolling down the hill. Maybe some wood stumps to sit on round the fire pit. Too be honest that is being picky. I thought the honesty shop was a great idea. Thank you Carolyn and Clive for being so welcoming and helpful. I would definitely come back.
