The Hoolet is a comfortable, contemporary home built over 4 levels and has a Visit Scotland 4 star Award and a Green Tourism Award. Ideally situated in a quiet conservation area within Crieff itself, it is a few minutes walk from the excellent restaurants and pubs, the shops and local supermarket available in the town. In the opposite direction, also a few minutes from the door, is Macrosty Park with its walks and play area leading to the beautiful Lady Mary’s Walk alongside the River Earn.

Highly recommended - GREAT YARD and great house for families.

We spent 14 days in self-isolation at The Hooklet, so I can't tell you anything about the town of Crieff since we didn't see it... I can however tell you a lot about the house. My spouse and our 3 kids thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and we actually sorry to leave on the 14th day. The house is spread over a few stories, so there are a lot of stairs; it was no trouble for us, but anyone with mobility issues may want to consider this. There's a ramp to the front door, which is the same level as the living room, the main bedroom and a bathroom.

Bathrooms were spotless (the whole house was), and all the linen was top notch.

The kitchen was very well appointed - everything from parmesan grater, to egg cups, to casserole dishes. I could have made any fancy meal at the house. The appliances were all new and worked well.

The yard is amazing and one of my favourite features. We played outside for hours everyday; even for someone without kids, it's would still be so serene to have a cup pf coffee outside, listening to the birds and enjoying all the trees, flowers and foliage. The property felt very private due to all the hedges and flowers.

There were some games for the kids, which was unexpected but very appreciated.

The owner was highly responsive in communications with us and very flexible to work with.

Highly recommended :)

The Hoolet is an exceptionally comfortable and well-equipped house. We had a warm welcome from our host, Hamish and found the house to be spotlessly clean, spacious and attractively furnished. It's in a great position, too- very quiet with ample parking - but within easy walking distance of the town centre. We didn't know Crieff well and were pleasantly surprised by the range of shops and restaurants..all very convenient.
We were lucky too to get some beautiful autumn sunshine and the surrounding countryside looked stunning. We particularly enjoyed Lady Mary's Walk along the River Earn (also accessed directly from the house) - and The Deils Cauldron at nearby Comrie.
We very much hope to be back to explore the area more!

An amazing and beautiful house. Well worth every penny. The layout suited our three generation family with Granny and Granda getting the en-suite bedroom. Have stayed in other houses before on holiday but this was definitely the best. It felt like a home not just a house we’d rented.
