A lovely apartment with a nice riverside view, clean and comfortable beds, with all the amenities provided to ensure a pleasant stay.
The toiletries provided were a nice touch, and lots of fluffy towels.
The only thing missing were table mats and coasters which would protect the glass table.
Thank you for a lovely break.

Good apartment - shame about the administration

This is a nice apartment in a good location, with secure underground parking, and very handy for Chester city centre. There were a few minor problems with the accommodation itself: continuously dripping toilet, no toilet paper on arrival (one roll in other toilet) and shower head that wouldn't stay in position and then broke off in my hand (all in en suite); bedroom doors that didn't shut properly; and missing slats from blind in main room, compromising privacy because of the riverside path immediately behind the property. I booked this through Holiday Lettings and there was no problem with them. I paid the deposit to them and they took the balance and security deposit exactly when they said they would. But then the (I infer) owners, Residential Estates took over and the confusion started. First, they asked me (by email) to pay the balance. I phoned and explained I had. Then they phoned to ask for the security deposit. I explained I had also paid this. The information they emailed about the property was incomplete. It had the street name and apartment number, but no building name or number. I had to phone for this. I asked about the location of the car park in relation to the building, but they were unable to provide this. (That said, it was easy to find when we arrived.) There was no information about the accommodation in the property, so we did not know what to do with the bins, nor could we adjust the water heater (which was set at a level far too low for three people to have a shower). All of this added unnecessary stress to the weekend break. And they are all issues that I feel could be so easily resolved (and that I hope will be in response to this review.) It's a shame, because it is potentially a great base for visiting the lovely city of Chester.
