This is our second stay to the park we’ve had a wonderful time and lodges really are 5* the lodge is fully stocked with absolutely everything you could ever need. Hot tub was fantastic felt really relaxed the location of lodges is perfect and the cider barn with added bonus of pizzas is a must!!
Highly recommend the La rocca restaurant in cheddar excellent Italian food and the biggest cheesecake portions I’ve ever had. Remember to leave room. Only downside to lodge is one of the twin beds is very squeaky and other has a big dip in it but I’m sure this will be changed soon

First time visit to StrawberryField Park and was not disappointed. Lovely location and lodges were finished in very high quality.
Arrived as planned for our early check in but the cleaning still were still in situ, they apologised and asked us to give then an additional 10mins. We then visited the quirky Cider Barn at the entrance area which was great. Very down to earth but staff friendly, drinks choice good and food offering had lots of choice. As the pizza ovens were off I popped back up later in the afternoon to collect the pizza which was really good.
Back to the lodge, the little touches such as bottled water, wine, milk in the fridge as well as tea and coffee, and the user handbook including recommendations shouted 5* and well thought out. The rooms were all very clean, tidy and comfortable with high end decor and appliances. Plenty of towels as well as hot tub towels all included and robes too. The hot tub was ready to use straight away, which is not always the case at certain competitor locations so a nice touch.
There is parking for one vehicle at the lodge with additional if needed at the area as you enter the location, adjacent to the Cider Barn.
Smart TV and Wi-Fi all good so able to catch up as well as watch movies and TV shows during our stay.
Location is great for Cheddar, Wookie Hole and Wells all being just a short drive away.
The site staff were available if needed and on checking in we received a welcome check in person and this was replicated on departure too.
Couple of minor things to advise on, the coffee machine was temperamental and I could not get it to work, could have been user error. The other factor in choosing this lodge or any on this side of the park is the fact there is a lane at the bank that does get heavy traffic use by tractors, lorries and lots of cars so can be noisy. The Cedar loges hot tub was at the back so could be seen from this road as well as passers by as the hedgerow was not established enough to cover. Sure in time this will take care of itself but the noise could be an issue for some.
All in all a lovely place, fab accommodation, friendly staff and do give the Cider Barn a go. Don’t be put off by the down to earth look of it.

Everything with Cedar Lodge was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful prior to and upon arrival. The accommodation was clean and of high spec. It had everything you need for a trip away. The location is great and close to Cheddar and Wells. We would book again without hesitation.

Our lodge was lovely, clean and modern with everything we needed. We used the hot tub every day, and think the price is very reasonable for having a hot tub included. great location only a short drive to our days out to Glastonbury, cheddar gorge, wooky hole and wells

The lodge has been very well thought out and offers excellent facilities. Bed was comfy. Shower was powerful.It was great to have the hot tub.The furniture was comfortable. Many extras were provided.

However, I did have a few concerns.
There is a ramp into the lodge but it has a step up to it and so wheelchair access could be difficult.
The hot tub area was not very private. The fenced area needs to be expanded to provide better privacy.
There is only room for one car. If two couples were in the lodge where would the second car go?
The biggest issue for us was the close proximity of the road and the village hall.
On the Saturday evening there was a party at the hall. There was so much noise until midnight and we had to keep doors closed and could not use the hot tub. Whilst I appreciate this is beyond the control of the owners I feel that customers should be advised of the proximity of the road and hall to Cedar lodge and the lodge next to it.

Cedar lodge you have been a dream!!
From the moment we arrived at Strawberry Field we knew we were going to enjoy our stay. The lodge was perfect, the decor was on point and the space within the lodge was just right for our family of four. This was such a peaceful location to relax and unwind, and is also located in a great spot if you want to explore the beautiful surroundings that Cheddar has to offer.
I highly recommend Strawberry field and will definitely return.

3rd time back to this amazing place and it gets better everytime, early check in was fantastic and late check out was marvellous too, will be booking to come back again very very soon !

Cedar is perfect for couples who just want to recharge the batteries, the hot tub really helps with that !

The lodges were excellent and the location was good. The Cider Barn was quirky and the food & drink there was excellent. We'd definitely consider going back.

The only things that slightly took the edge off for us, were the following:
1) The late night music at the barn one night. It was a charity event apparently, but 11:40 was a bit late for the band to still be playing, especially when the lodge details implored us to be quiet from 11:00 "because guests come here for the peace and quiet". It was too loud.
2) The lady waiting to clean our lodge at around 9:50. She sat on the decking opposite smoking and just stared at us as we packed the car. The moment we got in the car, she was in the lodge! It was just a bit disconcerting.

Please accept our apologies for the noise from the cider barn, as a separate establishment to us sometimes we have to juggle things such as this charity event but we have passed on that the noise went on too late. I have spoken to the housekeeping manager regarding housekeeper timings as well, sorry the situation put pressure on you, it should not have been the case as they usually proceed to start on empty lodges. We hope we can welcome you again one day. Best wishes.

We had a week in the cedar lodge which was perfect for us as we were with an elderly family member who has walking difficulties and the lodge had everything he comfortably needed to enjoy the stay without it feeling awkward or uncomfortable. The beds were really comfy and overall very well furnished and equipped so as it felt like home from home. Nothing was to much trouble for us from the team there as it was so hot we asked if we could have a parasol for outside and an hour later we had one put in place. The hot tubs are a lovely addition too being private and easy to use. The doorways from the bedrooms straight out onto the decking made it easy to access the tub and were good to cool the rooms off too. It was fun to see the cows being taken for milking in a morning down the country lane at the side of the lodge and the farmers would stop for a chat as we stood and watched them pass. Lovely stay in a lovely area.

We stayed in Cedar on a bank holiday weekend. The music and general noise from the Cider Barn could be heard loudly and clearly from the second bedroom, which made it difficult for our toddler to sleep. There wasn’t any deadbolts on the doors meaning we didn’t feel secure as our child is now able to open doors on her own. Other than a field to play football the site is also lacking any resources to keep a toddler entertained, such as a set of swings.

The hot tub was next to a busy lane without suitable privacy screening as the hedge had huge holes in it. We often had dog walkers and horse riders going past and there was a lot of traffic noise from heavy machinery.

From an eco perspective, I’d like to see the single use items, including individually wrapped tea bags, glass water bottles, biscuits etc removed. I also found the inventory to be unnecessary and it added an extra layer of pressure to our stay and meant the lodge’s items were pretty much unusable as we felt we had to use our own to avoid any mishaps and charges being taken from the security deposit.

The property was well decorated and clean but we wouldn’t stay again as we didn’t feel it was valuable for money. The saying over promised, under delivered sums up our stay. It didn’t help that we’d recently stayed in another luxury lodge at the same price point but they had a lot of onsite activities, including a wooden activity trail in the woods and the lodge was surrounded by trees so you had a great view wherever you sat.

If the lodge was slightly cheaper, you clearly explained the noise issue with the pub, there were deadbolts and privacy screening we would have returned.

We did have a massage by Jo, which was amazing and I highly recommend.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We apologise if you experienced noise issues from the Cider Barn during your stay. As a separate establishment to us, they are finished by 11pm if they have live music on and this is not all the time. We are sorry if this was not the case. There are locks on every door leading out of the lodge for your security. Locks on bedroom doors have not seemed necessary when staying in a lodge with people you know. However we take guest feedback very seriously and although this has not been requested before, we will of course look into the pros and cons. We are sorry for the small holes in the hedge, we recently removed some ivy which had left small gaps. We have ordered some artificial screening to put in place whilst the hedge regrows. We do try our best from an eco perspective and are constantly trying to improve. The glass water bottles are recycled, as well as the paper envelopes from tea bags, sugar etc. When we have tried unenveloped tea bags before, guests have understandably had their concerns about germs. Lastly, our website makes is clear that we do not have playgrounds or activities for children. We would have happily answered any questions about this via phone or telephone as well. We notice that you have given a score of 2 for customer service but stated no reason. Our team happily answer any questions via email and telephone and are polite and helpful around the site. Hopefully this was just an error. We hope the above points would reassure you to visit again and answer any questions for future guests.

We took our two teenage kids, plus my wife and I. The lodge was exceptional, it was spacious, comfortable, well equipped with a modern clean décor. Cheddar is a great base location for many activities, including the gorge, walking, the coast and plenty of museums and other attractions. We decided to stay in the UK rather than flying again this year as the airlines just looked too risky, I wanted a holiday to be exactly that, a holiday - free of stress and delays which was still a concern that the news unfortunately confirmed. So we decided to find somewhere really nice in the UK instead and found Strawberryfield park.

Strawberryfield lodges is a lovely park, located just outside of Cheddar, nice and quiet, well-kept with a dash of luxury, the outdoor hot tub was used every day. The lodge itself was great to spend time relaxing inside or out on the decking, it felt private with plenty of space to ourselves. When we first arrived it was very clean and welcoming, which was much appreciated after a long drive.

I would thoroughly recommend Strawberryfield lodges, we had a really good family holiday free of the potential stress of flying abroad!

We have stayed at the park previously. Stayed in cedar lodge this time. Lodge very nice again. Quality bedding, towels and robes provided. Hot tub great for kids but we needed the temperature a little lower and I think the staff reset that each day so we had to keep an eye on that. Kitchen well stocked. Unable to use the grill though as it just smoked. The tv and blue ray player in the lodge were poor quality and the films we were watching kept crackling and having disturbance.

Check in very easy and no bother. We were not permitted to charge our electric car at the lodge so had to travel down in our diesal car. This needs looking into for an eco friendly park.

The only other thing I will say is that you can't check in until 4 pm and have to leave by 10 am which I think is too restrictive. It's put down to covid reasons but I think we should have moved on from this now.

Wonderful stay, lodge and hot tub were beautiful, such a peaceful stay. The lodge had everything you need for the stay. Beautiful breakfast hamper delivered to our lodge from local businesses which was lovely. Lots of nearby places to visit, longleat, bath and cheddar Gorg were a few places we visited, we will definitely be returning next year.

We stayed in the Cedar Lodge and the first thing to mention is how child friendly it is. It is enclosed, free from too many sharp edges and corners, equip with everything you may need.

Overall the lodge was incredibly clean and beautiful throughout. Such a lovely place to stay- we will definitely be back!

I would 100% recommend this lodge to anyone! We stayed for a week for our honeymoon and enjoyed every moment of it! It has everything you need and is in a beautiful, quiet, location not far from cheddar gorge. The hot tub was perfect for us, everyday we spent hours relaxing in there :)

A truly beautiful break as part of a UK tour. We loved the lodge & the facilities found lots to do & places to visit during our long weekend including Wookey Hole Caves, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury & the beaches at Western Super Mare, The Pheasant pub in Wookey & the Cider Barn on site we’re great for food & drinks al fresco.
Highlight was watching the sunset in a bar on the beach with all the family.
We loved the hot tub, the luxury lodge & surroundings, I’m not sure it’s value for money as over £400 per night is a little steep for me as we stay in these type of accommodations all over the country and SFP was about as expensive as they come. However apart from that I would recommend the SFP to anyone looking for a break in the area. We’ll no doubt be back!

This was our third time to Somerset (because it's just so beautiful), but our first time at Strawberryfield Park. We were so pleased with the lodge and park. Everything is immaculate, beautifully designed and very well equipped. Having not had a holiday since before the first lockdown, we had high expectations and I can wholeheartedly say we were not disappointed! There is so much to do within a short drive of the park. We explored both Bristol and Bath, went to the Wookey Hole caves, Cheddar Gorge and just hung out at the lodge (and the quirky little cider barn at the end of the road). We will definitely be back!

We had no contact check in so the key was in the door when we arrived. The lodge certainly had the wow factor as we walked in. Hot tub up to temp(as it was 28 degrees when we arrived maybe a little too hot at 36!), weber bbq, 2 loungers ready and a cold 4 pack of thatchers cider to kick the holiday off! We unloaded our shop, put our bottle of bubbly in the fridge ready for the hot tub later and began to relax. After a couple of hours we realised that the bubbly wasn’t getting any colder and the fridge had hit 18 degrees so rang Mike on the out of hours number. He said to keep an eye but understandably there was little he could do tonight except offer to take anything we needed refrigerating over night and reimburse anything that we lost. The next day we heard nothing and spent the morning trying to sort something out. After arriving on Monday we finally had a new fridge fitted late Friday afternoon after spending the week going back and forth between properties with our food and drink. Looking over the week there were several inadequacies that marred the experience but could have been easily fixed.
1. With contactless check in there is no reception but in case of issues (apart from the fridge the dishwasher salt had not been filled) the office still needs to be highlighted as on the first morning we went to the wrong place!
2. If staff had badges or uniform we would have known that the people around were part of the park and not just builders!
3. When an out of hours call has been received it should be followed up in office hours the following day.
4. When dealing with an issue give realistic time frames and communicate what’s being done. It’s frustrating when time frames aren’t met and makes you feel you've been fobbed off.
5. We were repeatedly told how busy and stretched staff were so maybe more staff temporarily to enable the customer service you’re trying to achieve.
6. We were told that all they could do was apologise but when the client has been so inconvenienced even a £4 pack of Thatchers would have gone a long way to making amends!
Such a wonderful holiday just marred by poor customer service.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad to hear that Cedar Lodge had the wow factor and that you were 100% satisfied with the cleanliness and comfort of your lodge. It was very unfortunate that during your stay the fridge/freezer failed. Whilst a replacement was made available and compensation was offered for any unusable items I realise that during the recent warm weather this was disappointing and inconvenient. A replacement was sourced and installed at the earliest opportunity, however, we should have kept you more informed of progress. I sincerely apologies that on this occasion it was felt that our customer service did not meet our exceptionally high standards. Although this is no excuse, we were short staffed due to some members having to self isolate compounded with being fully booked. Contactless check-in is of huge benefit to guests during this difficult climate and park staff can be contacted at any time. I'm so glad you enjoyed the free cans of Thatcher's cider.

Cedar lodge was well laid out with everything you could need from bathrobes to the full range of kitchen utensils. The decking area was great as was the hot tub.

My only complaints were:
- no coffee machine - the other lodges did
- no dishwasher tablets
- location of hottub - not a nice view in any direction.

We stayed for 4 nights at Cedar Lodge and had a lovely time. The lodge was spotless and the staff were around if we needed any help. We loved having the hot tub each night and something we're already missing. We've recommend the lodge to our friends and family and hope we can return soon!

We have just come back from our 4 night stay and it was perfect, such a relaxed stay. The lodge was so spacious and had everything you needed. Our children loved the decking area to play and we all enjoyed the hot tub. There was a huge field and park just around the corner from the lodges, so that was great for us, we went every morning. You are so close to cheddar which is so pretty. All staff were polite and happy to help we any questions or requests. We would definitely return.

on arrival we were so impressed by this lodge, clean, modern and absolutely stunning.. Hot tub was cleaned daily and was amazing to use day or night, decking area's were all of lovely views, soft beds, fantastic showers so all in all one of the best weekend breaks we have had and would recommend to all families, couples and friends. we will defiantly be coming back soon.

With a new born baby and a 13 year old was worried but we all had a fantastic stay and found plenty to do
Will definitely return in the summer
