We rented Thairn Cottage for a week, and it made an efficient base camp for trips to Dryburgh Abbey, Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Lindisfarne, and other places we enjoy. But the cottage itself is wonderful, convenient to Kelso for its Abbey, shopping, and grocery stores but far enough out in the farm land to be peaceful. We enjoyed our stay at Burnbrae Holidays and were pleased that one of the cottages (Begrum) allows dogs. The cottage is beautifully presented and comfortably furnished. There is ample space in the porch to hang coats/ dry out boots etc if needed, which is greatly appreciated. We loved the conservatory with great views. On cooler evenings, the cottage was so cosy that we didn't even need to light the log burner, which was thoughtfully laid ready for use if required. We'd certainly recommend this as a lovely place to get away from it all. Carol from Morpeth, Northumberland.
