Picked a good week for our second stay here. Lots of warm sunshine and next to no rain! Everything was as before, lovely well appointed cosy cottage in a tranquil yet convenient rural setting within a five minute drive of Kelso. We got a warm welcome from Yvette who provided useful local information on upcoming events.
There is nothing to fault at all. We hope to go back next year.
Booked this last minute, and glad we did. The location is excellent, the cottage itself is like a tardis. A lot bigger than I thought when booking. The homemade scones with jam and butter were a nice touch. The owner could not be more helpful. The kitchen is very very well equipped one of the best I have seen. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was soooo comfy. The sheets where crisp white and seemed almost new! There's lots of space for you shoes and jackets in the front porch. We really had not researched this property - we booked on friends' recommendation and a quick scan of the web-site.
On arrival we received a friendly greeting and a quick familiarisation tour. The property was spotless (although it was the "dog-friendly" cottage) and very fully and comfortably equipped and we really had no complaints during our stay.
Comments (not complaints) :- The "state of the art" ceramic hob required familiarisation, but the worked superbly.
