Each cottage is light and airy, spacious, generously equipped, ideal for two. Extra beds available upon request. Central heating throughout and log burner in living room. All of the rooms are on the same level, with level access from the large, private car park. Cars can approach close to the main entrance of each cottage for loading. Ideally located for exploring the beautiful borders country side, magnificent historical houses, and gardens. Kelso 3 miles with its many cafes, restaurants and independent shops.

Excellent self catering property, clean, warm and everything you need. Warm welcome from the owners who are always on hand if required. Great to have secure bike storage as the area is ideal for cycling.
This was not our first week at Thairn - we have stayed there several times in the past. First of all, one of the reasons we keep going back is that Yvette's helpfulness, availability and readiness to help is of a very high order indeed. You would go a liong way to find a better hostess. Second the accommodation is always spotlessly clean - an important factor when it is being shared by so many different people over the year. The location is peaceful and relaxing and the cottage is clean, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed exploring the area and all it has to offer.
The only down side of our holiday was an incident with the owners dogs. We had to visit the emergency vets when one of our dogs injured herself after being frightened by one of them. This dog was wandering around the site off lead unsupervised, even AFTER this incident, when the owner told us on arrival it was not friendly. Since returning home our dog has required further treatment causing more stress for us all.
