Maize is one of four stylish studio apartments situated in the heart of the Cotswold town of Stow-on-the-Wold, this cosy bolt hole is a perfect base for discovering the nearby attractions of Burford or the famous Daylesford Farm shop. After a day exploring, enjoy the lovely atmosphere of Stow with a meal at one of the many eateries in the square.

Stayed Oct 2023 & can only say ‘wow’ what a special find. The apartment is in an ideal location right in the centre of Stow but still quiet & peaceful. Maize is nicely furnished and exceptionally clean. The welcome pack of tea bags, coffee & milk is very thoughtful and great to have on arrival. We will definitely be returning.

Pleasantly surprised with the apartment as it was compact but had all the benefits of a comfortable place to stay. It was superbly clean with some nice touches on arrival such as milk, coffee, sugar, tea and bathroom accessories. Location in Stow on the Wold was excellent being just a short walk to the shops etc. On the downside a person of a larger stature might find the shower a bit cramped and the apartments are a bit tricky to find even with what3words as it gives the wrong name to the turning but overall a nice quiet, relaxing stay.

Really comfortable and clean apartment which was less than a 5 minute walk from the market square. The room was spacious, bigger than some hotel rooms I’ve stayed in in Stow, and good value for money. Would stay again!

This is the first time we have opted for an apartment rather than a b&b ot hotel. Great location with no parking issues in this busy little town. Appreciated the flexibility of staying at Maize. It offered us stylish, stress free break

Everything I needed in a perfect location. A shirt 2 minute walk into the centre of everything. There are some fab little shops and bars

We have stayed at this property a few times several years ago and always found it very clean and in a good location for us.
However this time we were disappointed with it.
The bathroom had mould on the tiles and when we used the shower, the bathroom floor flooded.
We called the number that was given to us and the next day a man came to unblock the drain in the shower and put some bleach down the drain and on the tiles. He also came back the next day and cleaned the tiles more thoroughly.
All of this should have been done prior to our stay!!!! Most disappointing.
It was obvious that the property must have changed hands as the lady that owned it before would never have let it in this condition.

We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with a blocked drain during your stay, however we are pleased that the property manager was on hand to solve the issue. Unfortunately poor ventilation by keeping the door shut and moisture in the bathroom will unfortunately create the ideal environment for mold to grow. We do hope that you enjoyed your time exploring the Cotswolds!

Excellent location, just a minute's walk from town centre. Comfortable base for cycling and walking break. All you need for a short break - shower room, microwave and plenty of plates, cups and dishes. Could do with a towel rail in the shower room though.

Found difficulty in locating the property as the name Maize was not displayed. We were disappointed with the kitchen facilities for self catering, would have been better with a hob and pans for cooking full meals rather than just a microwave oven. insufficient cooking utensils, peelers, large jugs, draining spoons, boards etc. Coffee pot and teapot only suitable for one cup not for two people. No towel rails in bathroom and no heating there so towels don't dry.

As Maize is a base from which to explore the surrounding area, and not intended as a full self-catering stay, the kitchenette is not fully equipped. We look forward to you booking with us again soon.
