Honey Cottage is a one bedroom retreat ideal for a romantic, relaxing hideaway. Nestled in the beautiful countryside within walking distance of a pub yet within easy distance of all the Cotswold's has to offer. After a long day exploring, return to this stylish cottage and enjoy a glass of bubbles within the tranquil location of Camden Farm Barns.

Sadly we were disappointed with a number of aspects of booking and staying with Staycotswold. Firstly, even through the email with regards to a security deposit stating no money would be taken out of my account, the security deposit was in fact taken out of my account. When I contacted Staycotswold I was told that I had misunderstood the email and because Staycotswold don't receive the security deposit then it hasn't been taken out of my account. I explained many times it had but they just kept telling me I had misunderstood!
The cottage its self looks lovely on the outside but did not live up to expectation. In one of the rooms wallpaper is peeling off the walls and the carpet was grubby. I tied to use a plug near to a standing mirror but it was covered in cobwebs. There were also cobwebs all over the cupboard. When I went to out clothes in the drawers they were thick with dust. In the hall way the window sills had a number of dead insects and where very grubby. One of the walls in the bathroom was filthy and covered in toothpaste and stains. The sofa in the lounge is so worn that the cushions were completely flat and we had to get pillows from the ved to make it comfortable. We had nice weather and hoped to sit in the garden but the table and chairs were left uncovered in the corner and were rusting with paint peeling off. Really disappointing overall.

We too are disappointed Emma to receive your review. As per our email correspondence explained, the funds are held by your bank as a pre-authorised transaction, this means that they ear mark the amount of the security deposit this then shows as a pending transaction on your internet banking. StayCotswold never actually receive these funds as 5 days after your departure and providing no issues are reported by the property manager this pre-authorisation gets deleted. We are sorry if this caused you some distress by not having those funds available. As part of the booking conditions, we do ask that guests report any issues during their stay in order to try and give the owner or their property manager a fair opportunity to rectify any issues. A contact telephone number and email address are provided in the welcome email in case of such an event however you did not report anything. We have now sent your feedback on to the owner for them to review and implement any appropriate actions for the benefit of future guests.

We had a few days here and loved it. Honey Cottage is an amazing space in a beautiful location. Caroline was very helpful. We arrived at night to find the cottage lit up, warm with a lovely welcome pack!
We will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely stay. The location is great but quite remote and the facilities are a great addition. The cottage is very cosy and it was a lovely garden to let the dog into without worrying. The only downside was it could have been a bit cleaner, there were quite a few cobwebs.

We had a lovely weekend at Honey Cottage. Beautiful setting overlooking the fields and hills and just a short walk to the Thames. Super king size bed takes up most of the bedroom, so the separate dressing room was welcome. Bathroom is a bit small. Kitchen/living room was fine for two people and a small dog. Good sized secure garden.

We were 3 generations in an adjacent cottage plus our lovely snug.

We had a wonderful stay and literally everything was perfect.

We have had a very nice stay in Honey cottage for a week.
It is a fine place to be and from there exploring the beautiful surroundings.

The garden furniture wasn’t comfortabel, especial the table and 2 chairs. (They weren’t tempting at all for using them)

We surely can recommend Honey Cottage to our friends.

Lovely stay,
Clean, nice. Have some bread, milk , butter and a some wine left for us which was lovely. Loved walked by the river one night is very centre to everything we wanted to do. Definitely would go back and recommend to others.

After almost two weeks in the cotswolds we can say with certainty: we felt in love with this piece of earth.
During this time „our“ honey cottage immediately felt like home
(which was not only due to the surprising welcome pack ;-))
Here you can feel the love for detail and the feeling for style.
Our dog also felt very comfortable in the great garden and we loved the morning walks to the Thames - he and we will miss. We'd love to come back here.
Alone to dine in the Eagle tavern (insider tip: Blue Brulee) or the special ambience in the Snooty Mehrmaan.
Our larger excursions were to Stow on the wold and Painswick Roccoco garden.
The Cotswolds distillery was a must and we go home with many bottles.
Many thanks for the hospitality and the excellent care provided by Caroline.
We will miss all of this very much.

Honey cottage is absolutely perfect for a romantic getaway, a real home from home. Lovely location we did lots of walking with our dog. We did a food shop on route to the cottage with the supermarkets being a 6 minute drive away.
Our dog absolutely loved the cottage and garden. She settled straight in and I’m sure she would have happily stayed there.
The farm is perfect, everything is done to perfection.
Our welcome pack was lovely and much appreciated, We didn’t want to come home!

We loved Honey Cottage. It was perfect for our 2 night get away with our dogs.
The cottage is beautifully decorated and comfortable. You can walk straight out of the cottage and across fields to a lovely pub on the river. We didn’t use it but ‘The Goose’ and paddle boards down by the river would be great if we return with a group.
The managers replied promptly to enquiries before check in and the welcome wine and crumpets was a lovely touch. We would definitely recommend Honey Cottage.

Fabulous location and a quirky comfortable cottage for two. Immaculate and a very comfortable super king sized bed. Nice touch as provided with fresh milk and snacks. Everything you need for a self catering holiday break. Will definitely be returning when we visit the Cotswolds again!

Love the location, second visit. Cottage showing signs of wear and could have been a bit cleaner. Chair very uncomfortable and should be replaced. Arm on toaster broken and none of the clocks working!

All above said, we love the site on the Thames and the location, just would expect everything to be perfect given the price.

We really enjoyed our stay at Honey Cottage. The cottage is set in beautiful countryside and has a very warm, cosy feel to it. The bed is unbelievably comfortable and it really does feel like home from home. Although there is a pub in walking distance across the fields you will really need a car to get to Faringdon and surrounding villages. We tried on two different days to get taxis to go out for dinner but they all seem to be single car/single driver companies without any availability - not the fault of the cottage at all just something to be aware of! There's a great walk along the River Thames and if you really just want something off the beaten track where you can be totally self catered for this is a great option. Only a small number of logs given for the fire so do stock up beforehand.

We’ll equipped cottage in great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Very comfortable bed. Sofa, as noted by other guests, is very uncomfortable - our only criticism.

We loved our stay at Honey Cottage, so cosy and well placed. The grounds were gorgeous, and so peaceful, with plenty of room for the dogs. The fact that we could wander down to the Thames within the private grounds was a real bonus. The Thames path was easily accessible, with glorious walks each way, with plenty of pubs to try out! Just a fabulous location and we will return, perhaps with more of the family!

Myself and partner stayed at the Honey cottage last week, we had a wonderful time! The cottage was so cosy and cute, had every bit of equipment you would need. The owners kindly left us a welcoming pack, bottle of wine, breakfast bits.
The only thing I would have to comment on was the sofa wasn’t comfortable - especially for those movie nights and the pillows in the bedroom was a bit soft (but then that’s just both our preferences) the bed was very comfortable though. The decor was quirky and I very much loved it, just needed a fresh coat of paint as there was some chips off the walls, also needed a little dust around the picture frames.
Other than that we loved our time there!!

What an absolute gem! Honey cottage is an idyllic getaway for anyone!! The cottage is immaculate, the bed is a dream and everything is luxurious....we really didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely be back!!

Great location and interior styling. We also liked all the extra touches such as breakfast.

Negatives for us:

- Wasn't as clean as we would like; a lot of cobwebs around and some crumbs/ dirt
- Cleaning fee seemed quite high and as we didn't find it very clean this didn't seem like good value for money
- A few aspects seemed like they needed a bit of a touch up; like peeling paint on walls
- There was a bit of a musty smell in the lounge area
- Carpet in particular felt quite worn and grubby which also affected how clean it felt. We would definitely strongly recommend replacing this with a wood/ other hard floor

If the above things were addressed we would of found it perfect! Great place with lots of potential.

What a delight! Our home away from home reminding us of the peace and tranquility of home in Victoria. A beautiful location and superb accommodation which was perfect for our extended stay. All the accommodation at Camden Farm is exceptional and we would recommend it to anyone seeking superb accommodation. The owners have excelled in their development of these properties. Caroline, thank you for all looking after us, you made our stay most memorable and hopefully we may have an opportunity to see you again.
