Guinea Cottage is a cosy dog friendly holiday home on the outskirts of Upper Seagry, an attractive village nestled in the Wiltshire countryside. Enjoying spectacular rural views from its private garden, this wonderful two bedroom home with wood burning stove is the ideal base from which to explore the South Cotswolds and you may also enjoy a day trip to Bath or Bristol.

Had a wonderful time in this beautiful cottage and surrounding farm. Lovely to wake up to beautiful patio area with flowers and surrounding fields and to see free roaming poultry and deers bouncy around. Beds very comfortable and bedding of a good quality, lovely bathroom which seems recently refurbished . Miniature toiletries in the shower and good quality bath towels. Great size smart tv and decent quest WiFi. We received a bottle of wine upon arrival which was nice. Such a lovely place but unfortunately was let down by the cleanliness of the kitchen, everywhere else was perfect. Cutlery draw was all greasy including all the cutlery (must of been cleaned in dirty greasy water) inside the oven could of been wiped down (found dirty grill tray inside used by previous guests) we had to give it a good scrub so we could use it. The bbq was not cleaned by previous quests and smelt bad, so we decided to give a bbq a miss. There’s a cordless hoover in cupboard which would have been useful but battery was flat and could find no way of charging, so pointless having there. Used the dishwasher 2 times but it smelt really bad inside maybe the drain or wastage pipe needs looking at, smelt like rotten eggs but the worst part was the fridge. It obviously hadn’t been cleaned in some time, had such a terrible odour and the draw at the bottom was filthy, hairs and some sort of sludge, so off putting. The sofas and cushions were also stained, the small sofa no one liked to sit on because it’s so uncomfortable. Such a shame because this is a beautiful cottage and I would of definitely have returned if it wasn’t for the negatives. Someone needs to address these issues to the cleaner, then it would be fantastic

Perfect little cottage for a few nights stay. We arrived a bit early and Eliza was kind enough to let us go in, a welcoming fire had already been lit in the log burner, which was a nice touch along with a welcome package of wine, chocolates and mince pies.
The cottage is well equipped and comfortable with a lovely recently refurbished shower room.
There is a safe enclosed garden for the dog and a couple of decent walks directly from the cottage.
Would highly recommend, if planning a stay in the area, also very convenient for the M4

Lovely comfortable little cottage on the grounds of a working farm. Probably the best shower I've experienced in a holiday cottage!! All on one level and small contained garden area which was perfect for our senior dog.

Whilst we didn't have need of them, our hosts were friendly and welcoming and made it clear we could call on them if required.

The cottage is in a secluded location with easy access to main roads. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was adequately equipped.

On our arrival there was no-one there to meet us as specified in the check-in details and we had to phone the owner to obtain the code to the key box. The basin in the bathroom had a sizeable crack in it that looked as though it had been there for some time. A big sticking point was the front door to the cottage. It was extremely difficult to pull open and to shut. In fact, only one of our party could do this unaided.

It would have been courteous of the gardener/lady with the 4 dogs to have asked about coming back and forth through our garden.

Finally, I think the additional charge of £40.00 for bringing a pet is excessive.

We really enjoyed our stay at Guinea Cottage. It was cosy and tastefully decorated with a well equipped kitchen. Conveniently situated for access to main roads for visiting other attractions. You could hear the M4 traffic when walking in the fields nearby but not a problem when inside the cottage. Our only critisism was loo was not spotless when we arrived, which doesn’t help with first impressions, but possibly due to the fact we did arrive a few minutes early so maybe cleaning was not quite complete? Other than that would definitely recommend.

The cottage was a very nice dog friendly property within an ideal location for visiting the Cotswold and surrounding areas.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating providing us with lovely fresh farm produce.
The garden was enclosed providing a perfect location for the dogs.
The BBQ came in very useful for the first day which proved to be the hottest on record.
Parking was available right by the front door for ease of access with luggage.
Excellent wifi available if required.
All in all a most relaxing holiday and well recommended to anyone. We will certainly be returning at the next most suitable opportunity.

The cottage was a very nice dog friendly property within an ideal location for visiting the Cotswold and surrounding areas.
The owners were very friendly and accommodating providing us with lovely fresh farm produce.
The garden was enclosed providing a perfect location for the dogs.
The BBQ came in very useful for the first day which proved to be the hottest on record.
Parking was available right by the front door for ease of access with luggage.
Excellent wifi available if required.
All in all a most relaxing holiday and well recommended to anyone. We will certainly be returning at the next most suitable opportunity.
