Sitting in the pretty Frome Valley in the village of Frampton, The Elbow is a delightful 16th-century thatched cottage, with an original Tudor plasterwork ceiling amongst its many characterful features.

Great find. Lovely stay

We really enjoyed our time at Elbow cottage. It’s a quirky old thatched cottage with lots of character but also plenty of space. We found it very comfortable and well equipped. It’s conveniently located for lots of sightseeing. We will happily book again next time we come to this part of the world.

The cottage had a quaint thatched roof, comfortable and clean with a modern kitchen. Handy downstairs toilet. Lovely welcoming fresh flowers in the dining room and a cake in the kitchen. Nice local walk around Frampton park which was close by. A couple of nice pubs but needed the car. Nicely situated to explore Dorset.

A spacious cottage with well equipped kitchen & breakfast bar. Large lounge & dining room but we sat in the kitchen as it was warmer in there. Comfortable bed with throws to keep you warm. Good shower. The only comments we would make is that the 2 sofas & armchair were not very comfortable even when we swapped the cushions over. Issues with Smart TV that kept buffering every 15-20 mins when trying to watch programmes. If we had visited at the height of summer we would have liked more space in the garden. We stayed in late September, but did use the seating outside late afternoons to sit & read.

We were very happy with the standard of accommodation at The Elbow cottage. It has an attractive, private garden and one dedicated off-road parking space. The cottage is beautifully presented and well equipped. It is very well placed for visiting Dorchester and the surrounding Dorset coast and countryside. The owners are very welcoming and helpful.

Een mooie historische cottage met heel vriendelijk gastheren. Een prima uitvalsbasis voor het mooie Dorset te ontdekken.

The Elbow was a lovely cottage, very comfortable and well equipped, a good base for exploring Dorset and well placed location wise. Would definitely stay there again. Could have done with a pair of oven gloves but otherwise great place to stay.

A lovely picturesque cottage in a very good location. Our hosts were very helpful with suggestions of where to go and what to see. The cottage was very comfortable with all the amenities you could wish for.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Elbow. It’s a cosy cottage that’s full of character. Myself and the two girls felt right at home.

The kitchen had everything we needed. The girls liked their room and I throughly enjoyed the luxury of the hideaway bathroom above mine.

The information provided in the guest book and folders was spot on thanks.

The location is good for both the coast and attractions inland such as Monkey World and Corfe Castle.

We also enjoyed wondering in the village of Frampton.

The summer house is great but the garden would be even more lovely with a bit of weeding. Only a small gripe and it didn’t spoil our stay in lovely Elbow Cottage.

Thanks for a great holiday.

There was no microwaveable dishes so we had to buy a Pyrex bowl to make porridge in .
We didn’t find the thick clothes ,instead of oven gloves suitable as you could feel a lot of heat coming through them and I also burnt my hand twice on the oven shelf whilst removing hot food .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our two young daughters. The cottage is clean, quiet and nicely decorated and the kitchen is well stocked with utensils. There’s a characterful outdoor space with a den and the top floor bathroom had a freestanding bath that was nice to soak in after a day of walking. The village is pretty and while there aren’t pubs and shops within easy walking distance it’s very well located for Dorchester, Weymouth and the coast. There is dedicated off road parking in an lovely front garden area. We’d definitely return here.
