We spent an excellent family weekend with our dog at Stone Barn. The accommodation was excellent with large open plan sitting room kitchen/dinner. The downstairs bedroom with ensuit bathroom was particulary useful for my husband who has limited mobility. We were very impressed with the high-end appliances fitted in the property. All the bedrooms were comfortable, clean and with TV installed with full Sky package including movie channel. The wall garden provided privancy and security for our dog. If we were there in the summer, it would be an excellent place for BBQ and relaxing. We were also impressed with the sports facilities in the farm. There were tennis court, bedminton court and game room with table tennis, snooker table and table football which was a nice surprise as the holiday property site didn't mention this. We enjoyed our walks with the dog in the farm with beautiful scenery, seeing beatutiful sunrise and sunset. It's a magical place. We will highly reccomend this property to anyone who would like to visit Cotswold.

The property was very clean, comfortable and well prepared. The open plan living and dining area worked well for our party of 10 and we made good use of the gas BBQ, tennis court and games room facilities. The beds and bathroom facilities were very good and the only minor issue was that the garden was somewhat neglected and had suffered following the recent dry spell. With a bit of TLC this could be rectified and would enhance the accommodation even more. The location provided a very good base for exploring the surrounding area, although some places were very busy during our weekend stay. Overall, Stone Barn provided an excellent location for our family get together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

We had a lovely family holiday in beautiful countryside. Games facilities and equipment were good. The garden chairs were poor in that arms and some slats were broken, only 2 chairs out of 8 were safe and acceptable. In the ground floor bedroom the door would not unlock for ventilation and in view of the hot weather was a little uncomfortable. Barbeque, as expected but disappointing, was very dirty so unable to use.

A group of friends & I booked Stone Barn to attend a wedding and we were very impressed! The accommodation was lovely, the property is excellently equipped and comfortable, and was close to the venue. The hosts were very accommodating with providing a high chair and travel cot for the youngest member of the group, which saved the parents needing to bring those items. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it felt like a proper holiday, despite only being 2 hours from home!

Stone barn was an ideal venue for my husband’s milestone birthday celebrations allowing us to celebrate with our children, grandchildren and a dog. We enjoyed eating together round the large dining table.
The open plan space worked well for us allowing the children plenty of room to play.
Warm and super comfortable beds but some noise from (storage?) heaters kept us awake.
During the day we were warm but as night fell we felt the cold from the windows and there are no curtains or blinds to keep the warmth in.

We all enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. All the rooms are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. When we arrived the showers weren’t working properly but this was addressed really quickly. However there were some things that we felt let the property down a bit. There is a lack of storage in 2 large upstairs bedrooms. Also there is a little bit of maintenance required. The bed in the downstairs bedroom seemed to have a fault and had been propped up. Unfortunately it collapsed a couple of times. Some of the light bulbs needed replaced, in particular in the utility room. The doors in to the garden were quite difficult to open, missing sink plug in the kitchen, vacuum bag needed emptied, very noticeable hole in the top of our duvet cover and lots of very large weeds in the garden. Although all minor points we felt that these collectively prevented it from being a 5 star property.




The most beautiful place to stay. I want to live there!

The Stone Barn was in of the nicest place I have ever stayed. We booked it during the weekend of my wedding, staying with my bridemaids the night before. It was the most perfect place to stay and get ready for the wedding. The photographs look fantastic.
The decor was stunning we had everything we could ever need for our stay.
I will be back one day x

We thoroughly enjoyed the Stone Barn and the facilities offered on site.
A great house for a family socialising and the private garden was an enjoyable sun trap plus excellent for our dog.
Mark was very helpful and responsive to the one or two issues that arose.

What a truly lovely place to stay. The property inside has everything you could possibly need. Only a couple of things. The water in the showers was too hot and couldn’t find any way to turn it down. But we managed. You could do with a long handled broom to sweep the downstairs floors. And although it does have a tumble dryer it would be handy to have an airer to dry the odd bits on..my only real issue was with the walled garden. The grass had been cut and the patio with furniture was great as was the bbq. But the flower beds were full of very unsightly weeds. A real shame for such a lovely place.



Very comfortable barn, well stocked with everything you could need for a holiday in the country.

Light and airy barn on two floors. The owners were very friendly and when requested provided extra racquets for the tennis court and badminton court together with table tennis bats.
A pitch and putt course was advertised but on enquiry we were told that it had not been set up for this year - maybe in the future?
There is a lovely large field behind the property for ball games.

One of the fitted sheets on a double bed had a small hole in it but in general all the equipment was in excellent shape.

There seem to be few public footpaths in the area and walking is along small roads which is difficult with young children. I wonder whether local farmers have cultivated over the footpaths or perhaps the council is not terribly interested.

An excellent place for a get away from it all break with family or friends.

Excellent 4 days break in a lovely area, top of the range kitchen facilities, only thing missing was a couple of sunbeds for those hot sunny days, other than that no complaints whatsoever.

House was perfect for our weekend away. Decor is very chic and open space is good for large group. Kitchen was easy to use. Would definitely come back. Not easy to walk into town due to country roads but very short drive.

The open plan living space and equal number of bathrooms to bedrooms made this an ideal property for our mixed age family weekend. The following comments should be taken as constructive remarks and not criticisms enabling the owner make improvements. We have holiday cottages in Cornwall and understand the issues. When in use, the shower in the downstairs bathroom floods the floor; the bathroom door handle is loose. Some of the bedrooms have nowhere to keep clothes apart from the hanging wardrobe. Some bathrooms lack surfaces for toiletries and sponge bags. There is insufficient lighting over the tables in the living room - we took a jigsaw and had difficulty seeing the pieces. The left hand drawer in the kitchen has dropped. Advise against having push-down plungers for shampoo in showers - the pressure will cause the metal basket to come away from the wall. It was wet and muddy during our visit and more door mats would be advisable. Our dog loved his stay especially the underfloor heating! Thank you very much.

Once a barn it is difficult to perceive how this residence would have appeared prior to its renovation as it truly is a lovely property, very nice done and with a lovely flow and feel to it.

It’s situation was for us, it’s most redeeming feature however. Situated on farm land and on grounds which might once have been used to hold cattle this beautiful setting is distant from the local towns which become very busy throughout the peak seasons, and is thus serene at all times. We had of our four days three very rainy and wet days but it didn’t matter because with lovely walks around (just wear rain gear) it’s still beautiful and actually has greenery surrounding it and lovely views.

The kitchen is superbly equipped with quality crockery and cutlery and for those who need it televisions and full sky in the lounge and every bedroom!

Regrettably the downstairs bedroom doesn’t have a separate window to open when it’s really warm as it’s full bifold window feels a bit insecure to leave open all night but I guess so quiet and safe is the surroundings that wouldn’t matter to most.

There were a couple of things we were informed had broken prior to our arrival but it didn’t matter to us. We had a lovely time there and it was so very nice to enjoy the luxurious feel of the furnishings used in the house.

Beautifully situated and beautifully decorated and furnished this really is a lovely property lovely for both human and canine!

Excellent stay, good facilities.

Might be helpful if the owners are aware that several of the doors have stiff door knobs, and the external doors are difficult to lock. The blinds in a couple of the bedroom let in light, waking us up.

Apart from these points all was excellent.
