The Westgate is a spacious two bedroom period apartment that sleeps 4 in two bedrooms and has the benefit of free parking. All rooms are on one level being the middle floor of a grand Georgian villa on the outskirts of Charmouth in West Dorset with easy access to the Jurassic Coast and beach at Charmouth and nearby Lyme Regis.

Everything is perfect, the house is very clean. View is stunning.
In a convenience location. The only cons is the Bed in the main room a bit too small. Definitely will return someday.

Another fab stay at The Westgate. Great location for exploring the local area.
Beautiful modern apartment, spacious and comfortable rooms - clean and tidy throughout. Lovely to sit on the balcony taking in the surrounding views.
Mark is a great host very responsive to messages.
Looking forward to our next stay!

Spacious modern comfortable clean secluded with nice views.
Too many steps accessing for some people and rather noisy nearby highway

Overall good value for money would revisit.

We had a wonderful, relaxing break at The Westgate at the end of summer. The accommodation is beautifully furnished and felt homely and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay and our evenings sitting on the balcony as the sun set. Ideally located with beaches and interesting places to visit on the doorstep. We didn't want to leave! Hoping to return.

We really enjoyed the house. It is spacious, clean, rlegant design and all comfort you can wish.
The only thing we had to get used to was the close proximity to the busy road.

The Westgate is a very spacious apartment within a beautiful Georgian house.
It has lovely views and is very close to the Jurassic Coast and to Charmouth and Lyme Regis.
We had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely like to visit again.

West Gate is a beautiful apartment in a Georgian villa. Setting was lovely with views of rolling hillsides.
The apartment was clean comfortable with many original features. The kitchen had all of the appliances you’d would expect in a modern home.

The Westgate is a beautifully appointed and well-equipped property. We loved the period features, with the high ceilings, the balcony and wooden shutters. We had everything we needed, including a welcome pack of Dorset tea and biscuits. The apartment is super spacious with plenty of room to relax, to read and to enjoy the views from the balcony. At times, it was quite difficult to persuade the family to leave and go out for the day. We enjoyed the beach in Charmouth and had delicious meals out in Lyme Regis. The Harbour Inn, The Pilot Boat and Antonio's Trattoria were all excellent. We also enjoyed the outdoor theatre in Lyme Regis. We loved staying in The Westgate, and it was always a treat to arrive home after a day out, to such a stylish and relaxing apartment.

The Westgate was a lovely spacious apartment which was very comfortable for our family of four. It had everything we needed and was situated right on the doorstep of all the lovely coastal towns and beaches.
The views were amazing and the terrace balcony was an added bonus.

Spacious and comfortable accommodation with a well equipped kitchen. Only downside for us was the noise from traffic on the busy A35 immediately behind the house.

The Westgate is a very comfortable and well appointed property with lovely views across the countryside. The traffic noise from the busy A35 could be a nuisance in warmer weather when taking advantage of the balcony, but this is a small price to pay for easy access to Lyme Regis, Dorchester and other parts of Dorset.

Staying at the Westgate is like stepping into the pages of a Jane Austen novel. The picturesque villa is situated on a slight hillside which allows expansive, splendid views of rolling countryside on all sides of the house.
The apartment is incredibly spacious - much more than we expected. Two large living rooms, kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms, and massive bedrooms. All areas are decorated in a tasteful, vintage style yet still marvellously modern and clean. The kitchen is equipped with high quality appliances (although note, there is no microwave).
The wifi worked well, but we couldn’t get it to work on the smart TV.
The hot water was reliable, and the bed was very comfortable. There is ample parking.
The location is perfect - you are out in the country lanes so feel very much secluded, but can easily walk into Charmouth (however you do have to walk over a motorway to get there). The motorway being so close means it is incredibly well connected and you can easily explore the entire Jurassic Coast from here by car.
I highly recommend this place - it will truly give your holiday an extra sprinkle of time travelling magic!

Really like this Georgian converted flat. Mark was very responsive to help sort out heating issue. Really appreciate that. Will stay here again if come for another visit.
