The Butler’s Quarters is a self-contained, two-bedroom, ground-floor apartment within the magnificent Ardkinglas House. The mansion house stands at the head of Loch Fyne in Cairndow, Argyll, looking out to Inveraray to the south and Glen Fyne to the north. The setting is breathtaking; step out of the apartment and look over the garden and terraces to fabulous views of the loch and beyond.

The appartement is old but authentic and therefor ok. The surroundings are beautiful and the gardens are splendid. The Gruffalo Trail and the houses of the Elves were magical for the kids and as it was raining -duh- it was handy that we could do these trails in 'our own back yard'...Inveraray (with a supermarket) is nearby and the loch offers beautiful views. Our children watched 'Waterhorse' of course and were constantly yelling:'That's our castle, I walked on that grass...' Nice!

This is our second stay. The quarters are spacious and comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. Unfortunately it rained constantly during our stay so we didn’t get round the estate and woodland gardens. However, we did explore the area and it was lovely to come back to a great log fire. Would recommend.

Loved our stay as always - a little extra would be maybe the provision of butter/bread/marmite. Nonetheless, we loved our stay. We have been coming here for years since we used to come when at University in Edinburgh.
