Lovely location, lovely cottage and fantastic to watch all the birds on the feeders we filled. Bonus is watching the red squirrels every morning in the garden. Beds very comfy. Only down things for us is that place was so cold when we got there. Maybe radiators could be put on the afternoon of arrival in colder months. Also we have a dog ourselves ( not with us this time) but had dogs loose in front and back garden from walkers along the forest path at the front of the cottage.

We arrived in Scotland clueless about the weather conditions, however the owners were incredibly helpful and kept us updated.
We were unable to get to cottage the first night because of the landslides, but made it through the next day.
The cottage was lovely and very comfortable and in a beautiful setting
The red squirrels and birds in the garden were really lovely to sit and watch, very greedy though
Despite the difficult start, we had a wonderful time, and great walks on the doorstep
Thank you again

A great location, close to forest walks and the town of Dunoon.
The cottage was very comfortable. My only observation is the kitchen utensils need updating. Only 2 saucepans with only 1 lid that doesn't fit either pan. Tin opener is broken, and lack of serving spoon Recommend that the cottage owner invests in updated the kitchen ware.

We had a lovely stay at Nursery Cottage. There were a couple of small issues when we arrived but the owners were very easy to get hold of and quick to resolve them.
The location is a great spot from which to explore the woods on your doorstep, the botanical gardens and some day trips further afield (e.g. Inverary, local castles etc). We paddleboarded on the loch and enjoyed cosy evenings by the fire. The Wee Butcher down the road was a great place to get some local supplies.

Perfect location for quiet break with many walks on your doorstep.
Cottage and garden idyllic but lacking some "welcome" items
A few teabags and milk on arrival would be nice and firelights for stove

Nice little cottage, secluded and in a lovely area, great dog walks. Very clean with comfy beds and seating in lounge.
However the cottage is in need of upgrading in some areas. Notably the heating. The antiquated wood stove was difficult to manage and did not heat the water or the radiators adequately. It belched smoke into the room on lighting and would only stay lit if ashpan door was left open. Alternative heating was supplied in the form of oil filled electric radiators which saved the day but must be very expensive to run at this time of year. It would have been nice if the heaters had been on for our arrival as it was freezing and took a few hours to heat the place up. That was after we had been back out to buy kindling and matches! Very meagre supplies of hand wash and loo roll left for us and no washing up liquid. Only one J cloth and tea towel and sadly bath and hand towels were thin and well past their best. Lovely modern bathroom but loo very low and seat loose. Disappointed that there was no caffitier when I went to brew my morning coffee!!

This is a nice little bungalow with grounds in the woods. It's isolated from other properties and far enough from the road so as to not hear anything, could hardly hear the visiting cockerel near the duck pond. There are numerous attractions close by or you can use the cottage as a base to explore further.

As others have commented, the fridge is a little small and the duvets are a little hot but that's no biggie. There is a garage with shop next to a diner a couple of miles towards Dunoon with many shops and attractions in Dunoon itself.

EV charging is available in Dunoon - it's worth getting a RFID card from chargeplace Scotland to use this and other chargers in rural locations

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage had everything you needed for a short break. The location is nice and quiet and the garden would be great for summertime. I think the main radiators need bled, when you put the fire on they only heated up a little bit. I would definetly stay here again when the weather is a bit warmer.
